I had actually worked with 2 different event coordinators from start to finish of the wedding planning (both of whom still worked there by the wedding day), and they were fantastic...
! One was better at responding promptly to e-mails than the other, but they were both very dependable and reliable.
The venue is so pretty in the summer. I gambled and went for an outside ceremony under the pavilion & used the reception hall & patio for dance. For July, we really lucked out on the weather. Many guests commented on how beautiful the wedding was, and the great choice of food (Italian buffet). So easy to work with and definitely good for the budget.
The event coordinator was always available to answer questions and help me with anything I needed. She was the only on I worked with during my whole wedding process who actually go...
t back to me quickly and answered every question. The food was great. The wait staff was polite and friendly. And the location was very pretty
I was very disappointed with my experience at Mississippi National. In the process of planning my wedding I had to deal with 3 different wedding coordinators there. I was assured t...
hat anything that had been discussed with a previous coordinator got passed on, but one big detail was completely missed on my wedding day. I was also not happy that an hour into our reception we were told that we had to undecorate our ceremony location and that the brides room where we all got ready needed to be emptied out. Had I been told in advance it would not have been an issue, but we were pulled away from our reception to do this. On a positive note their food is phenomenal and the staff is very friendly.
Working with the planners at MNGL was so easy! I live in Phoenix, so I had to do most of the leg work over the phone or emails. They responded very quickly and were receptive to ...
all my ideas to make my ceremony and reception more personalized. The guests enjoyed the food and said that the choices were wonderful! Overall, having the ceremony and reception at the same location made everything so much easier! And the guests loved that they didn't have to travel from place to place for each part of the wedding event.
I had both my wedding ceremony (held int he gazebo) and the reception held at the Mississippi National Golf Links, and I could not be happier. My husband and I wanted something out...
door, to tie in our love for nature. I train and ride horses for a living, and they allowed me to ride my horse up to the gazebo, which all the guests still talk about. We had the main setting inside, with a few tables outside. We did worry about it being too tight of a space (about 220 guests), but it was very comfortable. We had the dance outside, which just made the wedding better. Great photo ops on the golf course too. The food was amazing, I have very special dietary needs, and they were more than accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful, the wedding coordinator runs a very tight ship and makes sure everything runs smoothly - and as a bride who did not have many opinions, this was helpful. Some things are a little pricey (such as the tulle in the main banquet room -but I wouldn't rent it without), but we were able to do our won decorations for the most part (rented, and made ourselves) and saved money that way. Couldn't be happier with my wedding!
They were helpful, patient, and kind to everyone. The food was great and they were very accomodating with set up and take down.
The wedding coordinator was extremely helpful and knew what she was doing. As a result, it created less stress and worrying for me and my husband. The venue was absolutely beauti...
ful and everyone was very willing to assist....
There is a large patio for dining or dancing outside or to just get away from the noise inside. The views are great. The food was wonderful and not very expensive. There was lots...
of room both inside and outside so even with a large crowd you can still move easily. The outdoors area was pretty and also made a nice area for the kids at the reception to play and run off some excess energy.
