We had a great experience with Michale! We definitely felt more comfortable on our wedding day than we did for engagement pics but that was more us than anything she did! We love our pictures - there’s a good mix of “classic” poses and more artsy shots. If we had to do it all over again, we’d 100% book Michale!

I have never been one that feels very comfortable in front of a camera, but Michale from Mississippi Pearl Photography made my husband and I feel so at ease during both our engagement session and during our big day! My husband and I also have large families (with lots of kids) and had a large wedding party, which we knew didn’t make our wedding easy. We were so pleased that she was able to capture absolutely stunning images that we will always cherish! I cannot speak highly enough of Michale’s professionalism, attitude, and quality of work.

Michale was so wonderful to work with! She hyped us up the whole day, was great with accommodating any and all requests, and had great photo ideas. The style of editing is just what we wanted. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!

There just aren’t words to describe how lucky we feel to have found Michale and Mississippi Pearl! I want to shout her praises from any and every rooftop – she was such a blessing to have around on our wedding day! From the first time we met I knew she was going to be the biggest help. Wedding planning (especially throughout a pandemic) was stressful but she helped guide us through every question we threw at her. She was a HUGE hit among my family and friends as well, she catered to everyone and still captured STUNNING photos that we will treasure forever. This woman is more than just a photographer! Her photos for our engagement session and wedding were absolutely STUNNING and we are so thankful to have those memories. Michale went above and beyond to help us find other quality vendors in the area. She even found a hair stylist within days of our previous one canceling on us. She is extremely knowledgeable in her craft as well as helping brides find other vendors who match their vision.

Michale was a dream to work with and she made everything so easy! We live in Chicago and planned our wedding remotely, but she did not miss a beat. Anytime I reached out to her during the planning process with thoughts or questions, she was so quick to respond with helpful advice and tips. The day of our wedding, she was more than just a photographer. In addition to capturing the most beautiful moments of the day, she helped us keep all of our family and friends coordinated so that we could truly enjoy the day, yet it continued moving forward so we could get all of the shots on our wish list. I loved working with Michale and would highly recommend to any soon-to-be-bride.

Mississippi Pearl Photography did an AMAZING job with our engagement session and wedding day. We could not have asked for more. Michale is absolutely wonderful to work with. We had to reschedule our engagement session twice due to weather and she was so flexible. She made sure to have our pictures back to us quickly so we were able to use them for our save the dates which she also designed! They turned out beautifully and we received numerous compliments. Michale and her assistant/sister made our wedding day so special. They are fantastic to work with. She helped create a time line which made organizing our day so easy. She made myself and my fiancé (who doesn't love being in front of the camera) feel so comfortable. I never doubted for a second that our pictures would be less than amazing. She truly is the best and we are so thankful for her work!

Michale is incredibly creative and thinks up new ways to highlight your dress, jewelry, and of course, the bride. She knows how to make you laugh to get that perfect, natural smile photo. It was a blast working with her, as she knew how to make you feel comfortable amidst the chaos of your wedding. I would ten for ten hire her again.As my wedding was a destination wedding, she knew great locations that were just as stunning and unique. The Don Caesar was our favorite location to shoot at because who doesn't love the tropical vibes with amazing foliage and a giant pink palace?! You won't be disappointed with her work.

Not only did Michale and her husband Chris capture the magic in every moment of my wedding day, but they were also extremely organized and kept the day flowing smoothly without us feeling rushed or nervous in any way. Michale took all the necessary photos but was also inspired to take unique shots, such as one in the corncrib of our venue. She also knew all of the names of our wedding party, brought us drinks, and even re-bustled my dress for me. I would book them over and over again, it was a great experience of collaboration, creativity, and great service. They made us feel like royalty for the day!

Mississippi Pearl did a FANTASTIC job for our wedding and our engagement photos! She instantly makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and makes everything fun! On the wedding day, she was excited for us but also relaxed, which made everyone (including me) feel happy and at ease throughout the whole day. We got the photos 8 weeks after the wedding (which is exactly what the contract said), and they were STUNNING!!! We got nearly 1,000 photos edited and seriously were in awe of all of them. I was telling my husband the hardest part now is going to be selecting our favorites to put in our scrapbook! I keep looking through all the photos because I just can't get enough of them! Also, throughout the wedding planning process & at the wedding, she did so much more than what just a photographer would be thought of to do. She helped plan my timeline and ensure that the times that I was thinking would actually work. During the cake cutting I realized I didn't know exactly how it was supposed to go and when I told her she quickly gave me the run down. From when I first saw Michale’s work at a Wedding Planning Event, I knew I wanted to hire her. And then we began to discuss what she emphasized in her work, and what I wanted to take away from my wedding. If you are looking for a photographer that puts you first, look no further! Before I signed anything, Michale and I got coffee to ensure that what she offered was what I wanted. She took the time so I could be comfortable that the price I was paying was well worth her service. (Spoiler Alert: The price is TOTALLY worth it!) She put us at ease before, during, and after the wedding. She coached us patiently on how to get great photos, but she also captured the moment with such perfect candids! She promised to be our buffer if need be, and she truly took care of us. Michale played an instrumental role in making our dream wedding come true, and she documented it beautifully! If I were you, I would call Michale right now and make sure she’s free for your Wedding Date. You won’t regret it!

Michele at Mississippi Pearl was a wonderful wedding photographer! She made us very comfortable at both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day! She took wonderful photos of us before the ceremony in downtown Iowa City, at our ceremony in the Old Capitol Building, and at our reception in the Amana Colonies. If you don’t choose Mississippi Pearl Photography, you are choosing wrong! I don’t even know where to begin when talking about Michale because there is so much that’s makes her so awesome. She was absolutely amazing on our wedding day keeping me sane, while also capturing the most beautiful pictures. Michale is amazing!! From our first meet up to get to know each other, to months after the wedding. We keep in touch. It is important to her that you meet prior to signing with her, to make sure she understands your vision and can make it happen, but ALSO to make sure your personalities will mesh. This person will be with you nearly the entire day, and it is very important that you get along and see the same thing. She will also act as a day of planner without even realizing it. She keeps things moving through the day, on the schedule you discuss prior to the wedding. She genuinely cares that what you want, is something she can provide. Not to mention she was available for any and all questions prior to the wedding, even down to little details that I valued her opinion on. I received rights to over 1000 pictures, about 2 months after the wedding. This is a very reasonable timeframe. Look no further, she is amazing and you will be so happy with the photos you receive in the end! I still catch myself looking at them on a regular basis and I am sure this will happen for the rest of time. I can't express the importance in having an amazing photographer. It is an investment, but it is an investment you will have for the rest of your life.

Stop looking for a photographer and hire this woman immediately. Michale is the best! We were so comfortable working with her. She shot our engagement and wedding and made both days absolutely perfect and so much fun. The pictures were STUNNING. She was open to our ideas and made sure they were executed perfectly. Our reception got a little behind schedule and she stayed the extra hour to make sure that we got all the shots we wanted. Michale was available to talk over ideas and make suggestions through the entire wedding process. I suggest her to anyone that wants to capture any kind of event. She's so talented and couldn't have done anything any differently. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to anyone looking to capture any beautiful picture!

Where to start? I really can't say enough positive things about our experience. Michael was so helpful from the very beginning. She was very easy to communicate with..We frequently text and emailed one another. She would let me know when she had an idea for our wedding...it made us feel good that she was always thinking of us. She even created a Pinterest board for ideas and themes that related to our big day. She worked with me extensively on our timeline and had many great suggestions and ideas... So many things that hadn't occurred to me. She also had contacts for other vendors and questions I should be asking them. We were really pleased with all of our pictures and for the great work that she does. She is reasonably priced compared to many others. Overall, we were thrilled. She went above and beyond, I definitely recommend her! We can't wait to use her services in the future.

Michale did a great job! We got married in a hurricane in Florida and we had to move the wedding a day forward. She changed all her plans last minute, ran from the airport and made it to our hotel just in time to start taking pictures of the bridesmaids getting ready, etc. I was so relieved that she was able to be flexible. She was also ready for anything and able to make anything work in all all different conditions. I was also really impressed on how she was able to shepherd things along, got us moving when we were falling behind schedule, etc. She is very professional. And I haven't even gotten to the picture part yet. The photos we've seen so far are phenomenal . We're waiting on the rest of the pictures yet, but the ones we've gotten a taste of are stunning. We all had a great experience working with Mississippi Pearl Photography.

We absolutely love Michale and her work! She was great to work with and did an amazing job taking photos and keeping the wedding party on track. We are very excited to see our photos!!
