Misty in a very organized and professional fashion walked us step by step through a typical day for a bride and groom, and took copious notes to be sure she captured each and every moment requested by both families on the wedding day. We wanted a photographer that would give us a lifetime of memories through their photography and Misty exceeded our expectations. Our son and daughter in law were beautiful, the wedding ceremony and reception was fabulous...and we have Misty to Thank for capturing so many of these wonderful moments. In addition, myself a person who is not photogenic....a big hug to Misty for fine photography...I was actually pleased with the photographs of myself. Misty was professional, friendly, extremely pleasant to work with...a joy to have at our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception. I give Misty a 5+ rating for her superb photography and professionalism.

My sister got married the same summer as I did, and also had a great photographer, but it was more expensive, took them weeks before they saw pictures and received half the amount of edited photos as we did. he Knot to provide me with photographers in Petoskey. I went through several photographers who charged astronimical fees and surcharges to shoot Northern Michigan weddings, and began to wonder if I would ever find a photographer. That is how I found Misty. I came accross her bio on theknot.com and read her reviews. Everyone seemed to love her, so I sent her an email. Within 15 minutes I had a response. We decided to meet and she drove all the way to Lansing (halfway between her and us) in a snowstorm to have coffee and show us her portfolio. After meeting her and seeing how warm and friendly she was and how much she loved what she did, I was hooked. We booked her the next day. She did our engagement shoot in the Detroit area at no addiitonal charge and did such a phenomenal job. She even made props for us to use! After seeing the images, and how beautifully the images turned out, I knew I had the right photographer. When it came time for the big day, she was prepared, profession and so calm. She was like a breath of fresh air compared to my mom, mil and sils. She never once ordered anyone to do anything and was so relax that she put me at ease and was able to get some beautiful pre-wedding photos. She even indulged me in some of my wacky photo ideas. She was so creative and so patient (the bridal party got a little raucaus during the pictures) that I almost forgot it was my wedding. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Not only are her prices very reasonable, she is a dedicated, thorough and completely original photographer. My husband, who is a critic of everything could not stop talking about her and when our wedding pictures were up on he site he sat there gushing (seriously!) about each and everyone. To get a guy to do that is a feat in its own. If you are looking for a wedding, special occasion photographer for an event, please choose Misty Minna. She will treat you like you are her family, not a paid gig and genuinely cares about everyone and everything she shoots. She is a photographer who will give you 100% all the time, from the initial meeting down to the delivery of your wedding photos. I already miss working with her and I havent even been married 6 weeks!

the group shots. During the reception she even had a slide show of some pictures taken earlier in the day. Got my cd about 3 weeks after the wedding...which is unbelievably fast! The photos were beautiful she really captured the day with candids showing the happiness and love. Great communication, great photos, great person to work with! Love her!

ay and after seeing the pictures and reading her blog about us, she has a true gift for capturing who you are and the love you share with each other. Misty portrayed the essence of Ryan and I and our special day better than we could have ourselves. From our first look pictures to some amazing pictures in a wheat field... all are so beautifully taken! I would highly recommend Misty to everyone for not just your wedding, but for any photography session. She's the best!

Her packages were fairly priced and I love how she gives you the cd with all of the pictures for you to do what you want with them. The day of the wedding, I could relax knowing that she would capture all of the important points of the day and she had an assistant with her to make sure of it. My bridesmaids had a riot during the "girls" photos and I think Misty helped to put us at ease. I loved how after the wedding, it was only a few weeks and we got to see all of the pictures. Most other brides I know said it took months to see anything from their photographers. When she first sent me the link to see all of the pictures I was almost in tears. They were beautiful and they let me relive the day again. Every time I look at them it is like I am there again. Overall, Misty was very professional, reliable, and her pictures are outstanding. I will cherish them forever! (Also: my mom was so pleased with her work that day and the pictures that she hired her for her own wedding. My mom had a small wedding with just our family and it felt like Misty was just another member of the family that day. She fits in really well and get s along with everybody.) I look forward to the day that she can take any maternity/family photos for us! :)

y for close to two years and when the day arrived, it was about as hectic as you can imagine. Thank goodness Misty was there. I completely relied on her to capture the day, which she did beautifully. Acting on her instincts & experience, she was able to get pictures of the guests, my folks, and family. The family pictures are priceless because it had been years since some of them had been together in the same place. With Misty behind the lens I didn't have to worry about if things were being taken care of because I knew they were. She was gracious with her time and now my folks have beautiful remainders of their special day. I truly appreciated her taking the reins and helping me give my parents a party people are still talking about!

ire wedding planning experience. Misty is very prompt with responding to phone calls and emails, and is very detail oriented. We did our engagement session about 3 months before the wedding and had a blast! She really has a creative eye, and we love the way the photos turned out. The day of the wedding Misty was everywhere! She was really organized and we definitely got every picture we asked for, and then some! Misty had a lot of fun ideas for the bridal party pictures, and all of them turned out awesome! She also took a lot of really great photos during the ceremony, from really nice angles. These ended up being my favorite pictures out of all of the ones we took. She also got a lot of the really fun details of the day, for example my shoes, our rings (her macro lens is pretty sweet), and even the tiny pinwheels that we had lining the aisle of the ceremony. Misty is an amazing photographer with great talent, and such a friendly, open personality. She was exceptional to work with, and I am recommending her to everyone I know. We have already gotten a lot of compliments on how beautiful the pictures are from our wedding day, and it is all thanks to Misty!
