Hi, I’m Misty! I photographed my first wedding at 17, and I’ve been photographing weddings ever since. Nearly 30 years later, I still feel incredibly honored to do what I love — capturing real moments, big emotions, and the beauty of connection. Today, my team and I photograph around 50–75 weddings and events a year, with over 1,700 under our belt so far. In addition to that we also do about 30-50 sessions a year.
I was born in Nebraska but raised in sunny Florida — where I live just outside of Orlando in the cozy little town of St. Cloud. I’m a proud foster and adoptive mom of six amazing kids, and I share life with my sweet rescue pup, Bella.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive some recognition, including being voted Best Photographer in Central Florida by WESH 2 A-List, being inducted into The Knot’s Best of Weddings Hall of Fame, and receiving the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Award every year since it began in 2011. But more than the awards, it’s the trust of each couple and client that means the most to me.
I’ve photographed everything from celebrity events to quiet, intimate destination weddings — and every single one reminds me why I started in the first place. My work has been published in national and international magazines and featured on popular wedding blogs, but what I care about most is making people feel seen, celebrated, and confident in front of the camera.
In addition to photography, I’m also a longtime educator. I’ve led one of Florida’s largest photography communities and have taught workshops across the country. I’m especially passionate about posing and human connection — and I bring that expertise into every shoot to help my clients look and feel their best.

I termed Misty my "bucket list photographer" years ago. When my now husband and I decided to get married in early 2021, with the exception of my daughter, Misty was the first person that I reached out to. I had no venue, no dress and no vision, but when she advised me that she was indeed available on my wedding day, it was the best feeling ever. And, Misty…and her team, made my day spectacular!
Misty has such a passion for her work and will take it to the mat to get the best shots of her couples. She is a creative genius. She works with a second photographer and an assistant. I can’t tell you how thankful I was for her assistant, making sure the straps on my gown were on my shoulders and not falling down; fixing any imperfections that appeared…in most cases, without even being told to do so. Along with the professional photos she takes, she also gets excellent cell phone shots so that they can be shared immediately with others.

Misty is also a super efficient leader. She knows exactly what needs to be done, and gives encouraging, honest, and specific direction which I REALLY appreciated. I've had other photoshoots where I wish more direction was given after looking at photos that I thought could have been better. She also started the coordination process of all the details way in advance. Her expertise provided for great life lessons! Everyone needs this expertise for taking photos!!! She recommended arriving 3.5 hrs before the wedding to start pictures, and she was on point. To get all the photos we wanted, we needed all of that time. Lastly, her team was an efficient, cohesive, and attentive unit. Everything Misty needed, they were on top of with a smile. I enjoyed working their team.
This was their first year doing videography. That team was also very detailed, encouraging, and honest when doing the audio sessions. The visual part was recorded when the photos were taken. I'm excited to see the video when it comes out!!
