James helped us out last minute and came through with a reasonable deal. Super helpful and very friendly and professional over the phone. He sent us a detailed itinerary and had everything he needed - he worked directly with my venue coordinator and it was completely hassle-free. Played great music throughout the night to keep everyone dancing, though he did wait until the last minute to play some of our requested songs and didn't get to them all. He also declined playing some requests without a reason. Overall, a great guy and we were very satisfied with him as our wedding DJ. Thanks James!

He listened to what we wanted and instilled confidence that he would be able to provide the personalization we desired while still utilizing his professional ability and experience that we would be paying for. Prior to the wedding, we provided him with some requests and asked him to play older music in the beginning transitioning to newer music in the end. Using this model, which he said he uses very often, James optimized our guests experience and the dance floor was full the whole evening. He helped to make our night exactly what we wanted. We had a phone call a few days ahead to talk through the timeline and so he could make sure he pronounced everyone's names right - which I thought was very thoughtful... how many people have been to a wedding and someone just butchers a last name? James was kind, and kept our friends dancing all night long. Great pricing as well - we had music in our reception area as well as out cocktail hour (separate room).

James was outstanding!! He did the music for both our ceremony and reception. He was extremely easy to work with, and even made last minute request adjustments to make every aspect of our day fantastic! I can honestly say our dance floor was the happening spot all night long, and James did an excellent job at playing the songs and genre that we asked him to. James really did a great job at our wedding! He plays to your crowd. At the beginning of the night, the parents were out on the floor, and he played more 80s music to keep them dancing. Later in the night, the younger crowd came out to dance, and he made sure to play more current hits. I never saw my dance floor empty.

James from Mitten Entertainment DJ'd our wedding at Frederik Meijer Gardens. He was very professional and so easy to work with. He responded immediately to questions during the planning process and provided guidance while still giving us plenty of control. He accommodated a tight schedule at our venue with no trouble. At the reception, we had asked for a mix of several genres for dinner music and James picked perfect songs. He made announcements and kept us on schedule, but wasn't an overbearing presence. Once dancing started, James did a fantastic job of reading the crowd to keep everyone dancing and having a good time, and still managed to play all the songs we requested. Everyone had a great time, including myself and my husband. We would definitely recommend Mitten Entertainment.
