Mitten Weddings and Events

We went back and forth about whether to hire a wedding planner and, looking back on it now, I’m not sure we would have made it through the planning process without Meagan. Due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule our wedding twice. Meagan was great at keeping both us and all our vendors coordinated and on track throughout those changes. Meagan is incredibly organized and very responsive. One of the characteristics I appreciated most about Meagan was her honesty. During the course of wedding planning, people are going to insist that you need things that you probably don’t really need. Meagan was very honest with us about what we needed and what was optional. We always felt like we could trust her judgment. Our other vendors enjoyed working with her and were impressed with her organization and attention to detail. On the day of the wedding, Meagan made sure everything went smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about anything. We didn’t expect to plan a wedding for three years, but we are so grateful we had Meagan on our side throughout the whole process. We would highly recommend Meagan and her team to any couple planning a wedding!

Not exaggerating when I write here that Megan literally saved my life. I reached out to her about a year (maybe a little less) out from my wedding in panic mode. I had thought that I could do it all by myself, and had already picked a few vendors before the to-dos started to pile up and I realized that I was totally incapable of managing all these details as a single human being. Of course my mom offered to handle a lot of it, but it felt unfair to put my whole wedding vision in her hands and I just felt that I needed someone who knew how to manage all the details and make sure I didn't miss things that were important to me. Enter Megan - who elevated the whole concept of the wedding and opened up relationships with vendors that we would never have previously considered. I know that Megan manages several weddings every year, but I am not kidding when I say that she made me feel like I was her only client. She was incredible, capable, and most importantly a real human being who I loved sharing my wedding planning with. Women tend to put a lot on ourselves, and originally I felt that I didn't need to pay for a planner because I'm organized and capable and yada yada yada. I was WRONG people. Handing off some decision-making and idea creation to Megan saved my wedding planning experience from being mired in confusion and stress. She's a wonderful person and I so hope that you consider working with her. She truly was a gamechanger and I truly wish weddings were not a once in a lifetime event, because I would love to work with her again!

MEAGAN IS AMAZING!!! There were so many challenges with planning 4 weddings in 2.5 years because of COVID but from the second I hired Meagan she took a massive weight off my shoulders and reminded me that even with COVID I could have my perfect wedding day. I was planning a wedding during COVID and in my first year of law school and she handled all challenges seamlessly. She rolled with all of my punches even with last minute deciding to push our third attempt at a wedding back a year because the virus had taken a turn for the worse. She connected with all of our vendors and reminded me of all the little details that would have slipped my mind if I were planning alone. The day of our wedding we received our bridal party flowers and they were done incorrectly. I was trying hard not to panic because they did not match our theme and Meagan immediately came to the rescue, I was thinking there is no way to change them in time for our photos and she showed up less than an hour later with the redone correct flowers. She is not only an amazing planner but a great friend and advocate to have on your big day!

The best decision I made (besides saying yes to my now husband ;)) was to hire Meagan and as our wedding planner. She is truly invested in every single couple she works with and her dedication and love for what she does SHOWS! She pays attention to detail, knows what you want and makes it happen! With all of the uncertainty of COVID - she was up to date with any executive orders, and so incredibly accommodating. She came up with ideas for back up plans that we didn’t even need but she is just that thorough! She kept everything positive and helped us have an incredible wedding. She was very punctual, organized, creative….I literally don’t have enough nice things to say. I could not have been happier with the way everything turned out, the whole day was absolute perfection and I have her to thank for that! If you are even thinking about hiring a wedding planner - CALL HER ASAP!

Hiring Meagan and Mitten Weddings was the best move we could have made regarding our wedding. Initially, we had hired Meagan as a month of planner, however, after coronavirus hit, Meagan went ABOVE AND BEYOND her duties in helping me reschedule and replan our wedding. She called all of our vendors and coordinated a new date that worked for everyone. In a time of so much stress and uncertainty, I found so much comfort in knowing that she was helping to coordinate so many changes. Meagan was the ultimate professional always answering my mom and my emails and calls in prompt fashion. She was very supportive despite my indecision regarding how to reschedule a wedding, and did everything in her power to help me work through plan a, b, and c, while never losing her patience. Our wedding day could not have ran more smoothly due to her attention to detail, calm demeanor, and ultimate professionalism. I owe so much to Meagan, most importantly for providing me a sense of calm throughout these crazy times and allowing me to truly step back and enjoy my wedding day, stress free. I cannot wait to work with her again in the future.

Meagan was amazing! We hired Mitten Weddings 90 days before the wedding, and I wish I had earlier. My husband and I both work full time with long hours, and we live in a different city than we got married in. Meagan made the last few weeks easy (which is saying something) and the day-of a breeze. Meagan and her team were a crucial in ensuring our vision for our day came true! She gave us the tools to help us relax during a time that could have been very stressful and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. We had the absolute best experience with Meagan and Mitten Weddings and Events! We booked almost a year in advance and I'm so glad we did because she was almost completely booked for the following summer! From the moment we booked with Meagan, she was super helpful, sincere and attentive to our vision and us as a couple. The month leading up the wedding, Meagan took care of everything! When we arrived at the reception, she was waiting with our signature drink in hand - ready to give to us. She helped me bustle my train and came to a quick solution when one of my buttons fell off. Meagan did so much for us and so much more than I can even mention. If I were to do it all over again, the #1 thing I would do is hire Meagan and the team!! We are so happy with our memories from our wedding day and contribute a lot of that to Meagan! We highly, highly recommend her!!

Meagan is absolutely amazing and detail oriented. My daughter suggested we hire a wedding planner at least one month out to ensure we didn’t forget anything. We ended up choosing 2 months out. My daughter had all vendors and contracts chosen prior to hiring Meagan. You would be amazed how much goes into creating a seamless perfect day. Meagan, is the best in the business. We were planning our wedding in a ballroom that was built from the ground up and we were the first wedding at the venue. We hired Meagan as our day-of coordinator, and she did a phenomenal job helping us prepare for and manage our wedding day! From our very first meeting she was so organized and put any stresses we had at ease. She worked with each of our vendors on her own to make sure they knew the timeline and triple confirmed all of the details with them. The church we were working with was pretty unresponsive, but she made sure that details were hammered out and that we felt confident about our wedding day. She came to the rehearsal and worked with the wedding party to make sure everything was perfect. During the wedding day, she was in the background making sure that everything ran so smoothly and that we never knew of any issues, which allowed us to have a stress-free day! Meagan came prepared and had every last detail written out and communicated to us, the bridal party and our vendors. Overall, she took a huge amount of stress off us during our wedding day, and if given the chance, we would 100% work with her again. She was amazing!

Where to start? Meagan is just amazing. From the start she was on her game. From the first meeting to the day of our Wedding. Her attention to detail just perfect. I can't tell you how valuable she was to my wife and I. The entire process was smooth and worth every penny. Couple of examples: My wife and I are pretty on top of our email and always responded when she emailed. However, there was one time where we didn't respond and the next day Meagan sent a text message to ask if everything was ok. That stood out. Do you know anyone that would call or text you if you didn't respond to an email within 24 hours like you normally would? I sure don't! Anyway, when we would meet via in person or on the phone. She would make sure we were on the right path and assured us that we were not behind in planning that we were either ahead or right on pace. I could go on and on but, this is coming from a couple with a COMBINED 20 plus years in hospitality and hotels . Every single step of the way she blew us away with her level of service, her communication, and attention to detail. On the day of she was literally all over the place making sure the finer details were addressed. Her team that assisted on the day of was also on point and extremely professional. My wife and I hired Megan as our Day (really month) of Coordinator, and she was awesome. She completely removed the headaches of talking to what felt like 17 different vendors, and was helping us get answers to questions we didn't even know we had! Plus, on the day of, she flawlessly handled a few hiccups caused by me and my groomsmen. I highly recommend her!

Meagan is a FANTASTIC wedding planner! My daughter hired her site-unseen while stationed overseas. Meagan was amazing to work with! I hired her for day of coordination and not only did she help me day of but the two weeks prioer to the wedding. She contacted all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. She also helped me update and finalize my day of timeline and make some decisions that I was struggling with. Meagan also helped set up some of the decor at my venue so I didn't have to have a family member do it and it helped myself and my mom not have to worry about it the day of the wedding! She has a great relationship with a lot of local vendors and was there to help them as they came to the venue to set up floral, dessert, decor etc. She was always great at responding to my emails! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! I'm so glad I hired her for the big day! My family really appreciated all she did too. She even made sure we had our wedding meal boxed up at the end of the night to take home and enjoy the next day! She really helped with the flow of the reception and made me feel at ease. We hired Meagan as our day of coordinator and she was wonderful. Extremely organized, extremely on top of things. There were a couple of small issues - the rehearsal seemed a little disorganized (though, we did have a non-traditional ceremony), and we wished she stayed at the wedding longer (there was an issue that came up with the venue and people were coming up to me to deal with it). However, despite these couple of things, we would definitely hire her again in a heartbeat. Meagan provided a sense of calm that was much needed the entire month before the wedding!

Meagan McPhail was an unbelievable wedding planner! Since I was planning out of Brooklyn, NY she made it so easy and seamless! We were able to Skype and go over all the ideas, even before I met her in person!! When I met her, she was professional, full of great ideas, and was extremely complimentary of our venue choice! Since we used her for day of coordination, I couldn't have been more happy! She dealt with all of the details (down to dealing with my demanding mother!) Meagan assisted us with wedding planning and day of coordination. My wife and I wanted to enjoy the planning process without feeling stressed about what may or may not be running smoothly. Meagan made sure everything was prepped and ready on time. We couldn't have done this without her. Also the money savings was great since we were able to utilize some of her vendor discounts.

Hiring Meagan for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. She kept up with all the details and changes and was very re-assuring along the way. There were some vendor changes that popped up the week of the wedding that I was very worried about and having her really helped me and I was able to relax as she was able to take care of them. Meagan was someone I knew I could count on to get things done and all the small details that I wanted to make the day special, she executed precisely how I wanted. Meagan was great at answering any questions I had, and was very knowledgable regarding vendor contracts and the wedding world in general. She kept in constant contact with me which made me feel valued and that she really understood what I wanted.

I hired Meagan as my wedding planner for the rehearsal and day of planning. I also had her help me plan up to the day of the wedding. I was not a bride who loved the planning experience so I was so thankful to have Meagan to help me along the way. She provided advice on vendors so I was able to make educated decisions upon hire based on experience, pricing and professionalism. I had a lot of ideas on Pinterest, and she was able to bring those ideas to life within my budget by using vendors or DIY ideas I wouldn't have thought of before. I was very nervous the day of my wedding with the usual jitters and hoping everything went perfect for me and my husband as well as our guests. Meagan not only assured me everything would, but she proved it did. The day of our wedding went without a glitch and our guests still talk about their experience. She was always available when I needed her and worked with a smile on her face, which makes the world of a difference to a bride smile emoticon I'm so thankful I had her with me for planning, the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. From start to finish Meagan helped me plan every detail and bring my visions (and too many pinterest pictures) to life. She not only directed me to vendors that would be a match for my vision and my budget but helped bring it all together as well. The day of our wedding i thought i would be stressed out, but thanks to the preparing and detailed day of events everything went off smoothly. The most important decision my husband and I made for our wedding was hiring Meagan from Mitten Weddings and Events to be our wedding planner and day of coordinator! Meagan handled EVERYTHING for me to truly ensure myself and my family was 100% stress free on my big day! When the planning began I was worried about only having 8 weeks to plan but Meagan stepped right in and took care of everything I needed. Meagan is very knowledgeable in the wedding industry and has a very impressive background working for luxury hotels. I was extremely impressed with our very detailed timeline for our wedding day. Everyone knew where to be, what time and the entire day couldn't have gone more smoothly, between the photographer, cake, vendors for ceremony/reception etc everything was perfectly timed out and I had not one single worry all day. The venue was set up EXACTLY as I had imagined if not better. I could never have planned this wedding so perfectly without Meagan's assistance and I'm so glad I chose Mitten Weddings and Events!!!!

Meagan is absolutely amazing! She was really able to help me with all the overwhelming details when it comes to wedding planning.
