We had Mix Tape perform at our daughter's wedding in September and we would highly recommend them! It was a pleasure working with Trey. After our first contact I knew we had made the right choice. He walked us through the process, had great suggestions and went above and beyond executing the couple's vision for their day. He was professional, accommodating and took care of all the details. The violin and guitar duo for the ceremony performed beautifully. As a band, Mix Tape was engaging and entertaining. Great music with lots of variety, a filled dance floor and a memorable celebration! There were lots of positive comments throughout the evening from wedding guests. Best of all, the bride and groom had a blast and are left with a day filled with great memories. We are really thankful we chose Mix Tape and we would not hesitate to use them in the future!

Trey talked us through the different packages the band offered and helped us pick the one that worked best. We both felt that he was personally invested in making sure we had an amazing wedding. The band also committed to learning two new songs and nailed each one! Trey made sure that no question went unanswered. The Wedding Day - Mix tape arrived on time and worked seamlessly with our coordinator. The MC was lively and thought quick on her feet. The DJ was extremely flexible and even accommodated a literal last-minute change to the father-daughter dance. Last but not least, the band sounded amazing! We got many comments from our guests telling us how great the band sounded! Mix Tape is the full package!

I can't say enough good things about this band! They absolutely MADE our wedding. Weeks afterward, guests were still contacting us about how amazing they were. The band's versatility when it comes to song choice was perfect for our multi-generational and very diverse crowd. They were even able to learn new songs and definitely had a knack for reading the energy of the room. Trey was amazing and worked with us to create the perfect vibe for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. I'm here to say that you cannot go wrong if you decide to book this band.

My number one priority was for our wedding to be fun. Mix Tape made it happen!!! Mix Tape did an amazing job at our wedding. Our guests still talk about how fun our band was. Some of our guests went up to them afterwards to ask for their info and we have had guests ask us for their contact information for their events. They are extremely talented, engaged the crowd and kept the party going. Mix Tape also made everything easy. So many wedding vendors in Dallas treat couples like just another number or like they are doing them a favor by showing up. Mix Tape made everything simple, enjoyable and stress-free from day one. Additionally, the prices for everything wedding related in Dallas are absurd. I got quotes from so many bands in Dallas and outside of Dallas. They were ridiculous compared to Mix Tape. Mix Tape is SO reasonable. They truly love what they do and are not price gouging. Joey also sang the song I walked down the aisle to and sang during the cocktail hour. It was beautiful and our guests loved it. It truly added so much to the moment. I am so thankful that Mix Tape was our wedding band. We had the best time and love them!!!!!!

Mix Tape really did help to make our wedding so special! I had a few friends who had seen them at wedding or had used them at their own wedding, so I knew they would be great. We went to see them play live at a bar in Addison and called them while we were still watching them play to hire them! Trey was so easy to work with, especially about the details for our venue. They even helped us when we needed to find a musician for the ceremony. We had guests from 95yrs old to 8yrs old, everyone was dancing and having a great time. No one wanted them to stop playing at the end of the evening! They really do play a mix of old and new music and the new stuff really was what was hot at that moment. They came out to sing and dance with the guests, they got the wedding party on stage! We really couldn't have picked a better band! We love Mixed Tape!!!

Loved having Mix Tape as our wedding band! My fiancé and I knew that we didn’t want a stereotypical cheesy wedding band, and as soon as we saw Mix Tape perform we knew they were the band for us! They are a band that we would actually pay money to go to go see! They played all our favorite songs and really knew how to get our wedding guests dancing! Trey was very responsive in the planning process and made sure that everything ran smoothly at the reception as Mix Tape was our MC as well. Our guests can not stop talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and Mix Tape is a big reason why!

This high energy band will keep your party going all night long! We recently had the pleasure of having Mix Tape, a 5 piece band with two lead vocalists, play our wedding at the end of September. Joey, the male lead singer, was our emcee for the night, including controlling the sound and music for the wedding ceremony. He went above and beyond by having our pep talk with our wedding officiant, who was very nervous performing her first marriage. This band has a huge range and can play everything from Journey to Lizzo to country music. While all of the band members are very talented, the brightest star was the lead female vocalist, Ashlee! Trey, the drummer and band manager, made the booking and the whole process very easy.

From the moment we met Mix Tape we knew this was going to be our band. We could not be happier with their performance, professionalism, talent and great artistic skills. They are easy to communicate with, responsive at all times and very cautious of every detail to make your day perfect. Their sound system, lighting and even their professional appearance was perfect. Not even a question we would hire them again with no hesitation. Just awesome!

Mix Tape Band is outstanding! From the beginning, Trey was extremely helpful, reachable and responsive even through the lockdown due to COVID-19. Fast forward to the wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations, and I truly mean it – they were AWESOME. The music selections were perfect, the band was so engaging and brought so much energy, and our guests had a blast dancing all night long. If you are considering hiring a band, this is the one. Not only are they amazing musicians who keep the dance floor packed, they are so professional and easy to work with.

Thank you Trey and Mix Tape for an absolute GREAT time! Too bad there’s only an option for “5” stars, because you guys deserve more!!!! They were very professional to work with, and an absolute treat to have play at our wedding! They played ALL the jams, and had everyone up and dancing at the reception the whole time! We also loved how much they helped orchestrate the flow of the whole reception! It’s been a couple months since our wedding, and people still are talking about what a great time they had, and “how great the band was!”

My wife and I selected Mix Tape for our 20th anniversary wedding vow renewal. They were exceptional. They played nonstop for 2.5 hours, with an outstanding mix of music from genre's we requested. They truly kept our crowd on thir feet, dancing the night away. I would highly recommend Mix Tape to any couple who wants to have a extremely fun party evening!

Mix Tape was AMAZING and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Trey, or contact with the band, was available to us for months leading up to the day and was incredibly detailed in telling us what information he needs to make sure the evening goes smoothly. He was always quick to respond to an email and available to meet in person whenever we wanted. The band itself is great. They brought a ton of energy and kept the dance floor filled the entire evening. The MC did a perfect job. We asked them to learn a new song to play for our first dance and they nailed it. Truly couldn't have asked for a better band experience. One quick tip: I saw them perform at Sherlocks beforehand and they were good enough then for me to book them but they were so much better on the wedding day. If you see them at a bar keep in mind the energy may not be ideal in that environment where it's a bunch of couples sitting and taking notes (instead of dancing and having fun). I took a slight gamble that they would match the energy of the room during the wedding day and in the end they set the energy level. They were so good, you won't regret hiring them.

Picking a band to perform on the most important day of your life can be difficult if you live near your wedding venue. Picking a band from 1550 miles away is an even more daunting task. My wife and I read some reviews on various wedding websites, looked up song lists from several different bands, and even checked out YouTube performances. Without seeing or meeting Mix Tape, my wife and I decided to move forward with reaching out to Trey Sawtelle to check the band’s availability for our wedding date – thankfully they were available. On the day of the wedding, we wondered what the band would sound like live - would the music be clear, would they play songs that got people onto the dance floor, etc.? As soon as Mix Taped started playing, ALL our fears were instantly erased. The band had our guests on the dance floor for their ENTIRE performance. The variety of singing voices in the band is unparalleled to any other wedding that I’ve attended - this provided for a great variety in song choices. The emceeing was flawless. Oh where to begin for the AMAZING MIX TAPE BAND! From the very beginning Trey, who is the Co-owner of Mix Tape and who we did all our communication through, was so EASY to contact and talk to about exactly what we were wanting for our wedding! It's one thing for it to be talked about, but then to actually get to see the detail and songs we wanted be implemented on our wedding day, was truly something special because it let's us know that they actually care about making your day perfect, and that is exactly what they did! Not only was communication a top priority for me, so was affordability! Trey was very REASONABLE about pricing and to say the least THEY ARE WORTH EVERY LITTLE PENNY! From the moment our reception started there was not an empty space on the dance floor!! Mix Tape truly has a special way of connecting with the crowd and playing a wide range of music! They ended up with letting my girls and I on stage to sing a song, and then I ended up on stage again and they let me sing the whole entire Baby Got Back song with them! Since our dance floor was literally packed all night long we had to seriously force people to leave and line up for the send off! After the wedding, we heard so many comments about how much FUN our wedding night was and that people didn't want it to end! We truly have MIX TAPE to thank for these comments!! I have already have THREE of my friends ask what band we used because of how much FUN they had at our wedding! All in all, we HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend using Mix Tape! They are an extraordinary team of very talented and amazing performers! They a genuine, kind and truly care about making your wedding day the day you have always dreamed about!!

I became a HUGE fan of Mix Tape after their performance at a best friends wedding about 3 years ago. When I got engaged at the beginning of this year, one of my top priorities was to get in touch with Mix Tape in hopes of booking them for my August wedding. I was ecstatic when they confirmed their availability, and I booked them immediately. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting anywhere near the level of professionalism or attention that I received from Trey, Mix Tape's manager, over the 8 months leading up to my wedding. I knew they were awesome performers, but as an event planner myself having worked with less-than-organized/attentive performers for previous events, I went in with pretty low expectations. Let me just say, my expectations were FAR exceeded. I was so impressed with the attention to detail, reliable communication and overall pleasing experience I received throughout the planning process. Trey was so helpful, the band was so flexible and their performance, from start to finish, was perfect. Joey, the lead singer, was a BLAST and such a crowd pleaser! Not only did I end up on stage 3 years ago at my friends wedding, I managed to find my way back up there a time or two at my own wedding and it was so much fun! They really have a special way of connecting with the crowd, which was much appreciated by all. They performed a super fun variety of songs pleasing to all tastes. They even managed to inspire my husband and I to hilariously (and embarrassingly) perform an impromptu dance to Purple Rain that was a major crowd pleaser (seriously... people will not let it go haha). Long story short, we highly, highly HIGHLY recommend Mix Tape for any event. They will not disappoint!

Mix Tape was absolutely PERFECT!!! Very professional and easy to work with - and I know I was a challenging bride! LOL. It would have been great if some of my other wedding vendors took my request as serious as Joey and Trey did! They delivered on everything I requested! We researched a lot of bands and ultimately decided to use Mix Tape. Don't waste all your time researching bands like we did. We went to so many bars to watch bands perform - I wish I could have all that wasted time back! Mixtape is incredible. Hands down. AMAZING talent, so much fun, and SO great to work with. We had so many friends tell us they were the best wedding band they'd ever heard. We couldn't agree more!!! Mixtape was the best decision we could have made when it came to our Reception celebration for our wedding. To this day we still get comments on how much fun people had at our wedding dancing the night away with Mixtape on stage. Trey Sawtelle was a very professional manager and working with him on a setlist was a walk in the park and he was very punctual from the very beginning.
