Mixed Company NYC

y to life. Her attention to detail was exceptional, and it was clear how much heart and care she poured into making the entire night truly unforgettable. The thoughtful touches she added tied everything together beautifully. She also respected our budget and still made everything feel seamless and elevated. It was truly the party of a lifetime

Tara enough. Tara is a one stop shop - she created the prefect logo that was presented on our wedding invitation and persisted throughout our wedding weekend, designed all graphic elements and collateral that were perfectly cohesive with the entire weekend… and where do I start with the decor?! I gave the direction of “sophisticated and elegant, with a touch of whimsy” and Tara gave me that and so much more. The decor was beyond my wildest dreams. The florals and candles were overflowing with abundance and most importantly, her creativity stands out - the decor doesn’t look like your out of the box wedding. Tara is truly phenomenal and I have nothing but the most positive things to say about our experience working together!

ly special was her amazing energy — it made the entire planning process and the day itself a joy. Thanks to her, everything went perfectly, and we couldn't have asked for a smoother, more memorable experience. Her dedication and passion really shone through, and we are so grateful for all her hard work!

we were looking for a couple of weeks prior to our initial walk through. From the first interactions, it was clear that she loves what she does, is super organized, and always smiling. We hired her for all things decor, florals, and planning/coordination. About 6 months before the event, we showed her a pinterest board with some inspo and vibes and had a call to walk through it. She prepared a proposal and it was clear she totally got it. From that point, we let her run with everything and felt super comfortable being low touch because we knew she was on top of it all. A month or two out, she connected with all the vendors and led our coordination with them. Along the way, she had vendor recs and a bunch of ideas for us, all of which were great. She wasn't pushy about anything, worked magic with our budget, and managed to keep us to our deadlines through some very nice reminder emails. Every email from Tara made us smile and got us more excited. We walked into our venue on the day of our event and were blown away. Our guests came up to us all night asking how we pulled off this transformation from a very basic rooftop bar to a tropical, lush, romantic escape. Tara and team!!! They truly killed it. We feel so lucky to have been connected to such an awesome, talented, fun team.

using our instincts to choose someone whose positive energy and ideas seemed to fit with our daughter’s vision. When we hired Tara, we were mostly just thinking about the heavy lift of planning and executing a wedding in Brooklyn from our home in Connecticut. We had no idea of the huge talent and expertise that she would bring to our event, and the breathtaking magic she would create with her true heart of gold for our daughter and her (now) husband. Tara is not only an extraordinarily professional planner, who carries every detail of the planning and execution (so you don’t have to!), but who also brings her deep experience as a floral and graphic designer. Not only did she manage and organize all the vendors and details (“the deets!” as she says!), she also picked up on every clue dropped by our daughter and her fiance to bring to life a perfect and spectacular wedding, from the smallest flourishes of design on the signage, to the exquisite flower and candle tablescapes, to the extraordinary garden in the sky she created as the setting for the ceremony and the reception. Even more importantly, Tara believes in magic, and she invests every aspect of her work with inspired insight into the hopes and dreams of her clients. For our daughter’s wedding, she created an atmosphere that was full of joy, beauty, and celebration, and there was so much love for our bride and groom in every single detail. Love and joy floated on the air with the rich scent of the fabulous flowers. On top of that, she managed a virtual army of assistants and other vendors during the wedding week and through that weekend like a perfectly choreographed ballet. Tara is an extraordinarily gifted and hard-working professional, but even more, she has a deeply giving spirit, full of positive energy and care for others, with the vision, talent, and energy to deliver the perfect experience for any couple and their families. Indeed, Tara becomes family, and a friend for life.

wedding we attended over 5 years ago. We loved the vibe of that wedding and knew she would be the right fit for us. We wanted a vibrant, modern, and festive celebration without the traditional aspects of a wedding and she delivered. She understood our vision from the start, and we worked together seamlessly. From the flow of the evening to the showstopping florals, decor, and signage down to every tiny detail, she nailed everything. We’d work with her again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Tara!

true to our aesthetics/decor, and coordinated with all the appropriate parties to make sure we did not have to worry over a single thing. Our wedding truly could not have been more perfect all because of Tara and her team. Could not recommend enough. Thank you, Tara!!!!!

and perfect and planned to perfection! We got so so so many compliments even weeks after the event!

and her crew… 74 Wythe certainly had the view… But she transformed the space to over the top bijou… Without a doubt a master event guru… Every detail was a perfect follow through… Made my little girl’s dream night come true… With all my heart, Tara, thank you!

it a reality, and any concern she addressed with a confidence and urgency that puts you at ease. Hiring Tara will let you be present and fully enjoy every moment of your day. We hosted a NYE reception for our guests after eloping earlier this year. We didn’t have a sit down formal dinner due to the time of the event, which made me a little nervous. Tara made sure everyone still felt like they were taken care of, and focused on how to make everyone feel just how special they are to us. Our NYE was easily one of the most beautiful nights, and she has seamlessly folded into our hearts. Coming from a family with an events company, I cannot recommend her enough. She is the greatest gift you can give yourself, and I’m so thankful for everything she did for us.

tional Tara is at what she does since we’ve gotten married and I hope this will at least come close. Tara is gifted at what she does. She is one of those people in life who has picked her profession perfectly. As a wedding planner, she makes wedding planning an absolute breeze. She is organized, communicative, and best of all: genuinely passionate about creating the weekend of your dreams. She leaves no stone unturned, no logistic hazy, and every vendor double and triple accounted for. And she does it all with boundless enthusiasm and a zest for love. We felt like we gained not just a planner but a friend and a cheerleader along the way. Our wedding was the best weekend of our lives and it would not have been possible without her. As a bride and groom, there was never a moment where we did not feel heard or taken care of. But beyond just us, the overwhelming response from our guests were that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. And we pass that compliment directly to Tara. Tara not only takes care of you as a couple but thinks about your wedding from every angle: for your guests, for your vendors, for your venue, for everyone. She is worth her weight in gold and then some. And that’s before we even begin to touch the absolute WIZARDRY she brings when it comes to florals. We cried genuine tears of joy walking into our venue on our wedding day. With Tara, anything is possible. Whatever floral fantasy you can think of it, multiply it by ten and that is what she delivers. Her creativity and style are like no one else’s. You will not be able to find what Tara can do anywhere else. Her work takes my breath away. I will think about the flowers on my wedding day for the rest of my life (trying not to cry all over again writing this review). To any couples thinking about hiring Tara, DO NOT DELAY. You are not just hiring a planner, but hiring the wedding fairy godmother of your dreams. You will be so grateful to have her sprinkle her magic on your special day. The magic she gave to us will stay with us forever.

xtremely organized, and ridiculously fast to respond to any inquiry. As a Type A bride who works in corporate event planning, I wasn't sure if I could let go of the reins. But let me tell you, handing things over to Tara was the best decision I made (second to saying "I do" to my husband). Seriously. The fact that she really does have a versatile "mixed" bag of skills she does (and does them all SOOOO WELL) is a HUGE asset to the wedding day. From the moment I met her, I knew Tara "got" me. She completely understood my vision and found ways to bring it to life that I never could have imagined. Through hiccups that naturally come about pre + day-of the wedding, Tara was a magician. Not to mention, I hired Tara (and booked everything) within a 4-month timeline *melting face* but Tara never made me feel like I didn't have enough time— it was always "not to worry, we'll get this done" tone and mentality. No matter how big of an idea, tight our timeline, or impossible our requests were, Tara was the master at making it happen. Tara is organized, creative, kind, and a genuine joy to work with. I am looking for some type of additional life event to throw so I can work with her again (not kidding, yes my husband wants to kill me but also he's all about the Tara love fest!).   I had a lot of extras going on day-of (I did a singing performance number with 12 dancers, ha!), DIY space/wedding, short timeline, non-traditional wedding, very random requests—no matter what I wanted/needed Tara was there for ALL OF IT being encouraging while advising, guiding... really, life-saving. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Tara is truly a visionary. Even better, she makes the process fun and stress free with her perfect mix of foresight, intelligence and fun.

e was crying‼️ But underneath this heart of gold is a true professional who did the most unbelievably fantastic job in a venue that was not easy to work in. And she did it largely from out of town (New York to Miami). She is also the most talented floral designer I have ever seen. The types of flowers and the arrangements that she herself designed were breathtaking and perfectly suited to the tropical locale. Every single detail was perfect, there was not a flaw. Above all knowing she was running everything allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every minute. Thank you Tara, you are forever in our lives❤️❤️❤️

ke. From the first zoom call we did, Tara welcomed us with open arms. She was so willing to listen to our needs and to help our vision come to life, but never in our wildest dreams did we think it would turn out like it did. Tara was patient, she answered EVERY ONE of our needs. I know we (me) are not easy to deal with. We changed our minds a million times. But Tara didn’t flinch. Tara took our dream and turned it into a reality. Mixed Co. also did our flowers and they were INCREDIBLE. A true one stop shop. Her work belongs in a magazine for the world to see. Mixed Company executed our vision to perfection. Tara’s talent is unmatched. Tara was the perfect person for this job. She embraced it, she didn’t complain once. Every need was answered with the biggest smile and she delivered the most perfect wedding we could have ever imagined. If you are looking for an incredible planner, coordinator, florist, DESIGNER and soul, Tara is your person. Her talent is unmatched. Don’t look any further. You will NOT be disappointed.

ism allowed us to take a step back and truly enjoy our wedding day. We cannot thank the Tara enough for making everything so spectular and stress-free. We promise you will not regret working with the Mixed Company team!!

hat we would've done at this point if we didn't have Tara..." was in the hundreds. She is incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and responsive. My best friend also used her for planning, and we like to refer to her as our wedding therapist. On top of managing ALL the communication with our vendors (and I mean every single detail), planning and executing our run of show, making sure everything was perfectly set up according to our vision, running our ceremony rehearsal, seeing to details I never would've even thought of, etc., she's also an absolute gem of a human being who was just a joy to work with - kind, funny, smart, energetic. She and her lovely assistant stayed for my entire wedding (took great pics too!) and truly made it so I had zero worries on the day of. She really took over 100% of the communication with the venue, vendors, hotel in the weeks leading up to the wedding so that I was truly not stressed. She blew my expectations out of the water and working with her was the best part of wedding planning and

st minute - every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed perfectly. Tara went above and beyond, she did everything we hoped for and then some. It was a big task bringing a totally blank space to life with florals, furniture, signage and small details. She made it seem easy! Her creative vision was honestly something I couldn't have even thought of myself. On top of all that talent, she is incredibly kind, FUN, humble and a calming presence. I never worried about anything when I knew it was in Tara's court. I don't want to have another wedding (lol) but I do look forward to working with Tara on future events!

detail, she infused, joy, optimism, excitement and positivity into everything we worked on together. She took the budget of my nonprofit organization's event and made it go absolutely as far as it could. She took our vision and ran with it, and we knew that we could trust her to execute to the highest degree. No corner was left unturned, no table unadorned, so flower unarranged. The final product was so beautiful, and we could not have been happier. But even (almost?) better than the final product is Tara herself. There is just no one like her, and working with her is a complete dream. You and your event feel like you are the center of her world and her attention, and you get the kind of personalized and catered service that comes from hiring a veteran of the industry who has the knowledge, know-how, expertise and creativity to give you the time and attention you need. Whether for a personal or corporate event, I cannot recommend Tara and Mixed Company enough.

as also a dream to work with - she made everything easy and ran with my vision. I gave very little guidance and she asked all the right questions to understand what we were looking to create.

to Tara, we just knew, our gut told us - she’s the one! She just exudesss happiness and excitement, and it’s so clear how much she loves her job. Her energy and enthusiasm for this industry is just unmatched. Throwing a wedding party can be so overwhelming, there are so many, too many options and first time going through this, I just had no clue. Tara guided us allll the way, with everything - food, engaging with the venue, alcohol, decor, florals, the VIBE!, and just everything in between, while still respecting our preferences/thoughts. She was very on top of everything, which I very much needed (I can be a bit lazy) giving me deadlines, to-do’s, who to contact and just making sure I’m on track. She responds to your questions right away and makes you feel like you’re the most important person. Speaking of me being lazy, Tara is also a one stop shop! This was very important to me. Her and her team handled all the decors, florals and print outs/signs. She guided me through my vision, offered advice on how to make it better, and the final product, the decor and florals, looked AMAZING - it looked exactly what I had envisioned plus 1000x. I cannot recommend Tara enough - also she’s just a very genuine, FUN person to work with. When you talk to her your day gets a little brighter and you feel like you can actually survive this wedding planning process. I’m a huge Tara fan and I cannot wait to work with her again in the future! Thank you Tara!!!!

re thoughtful, professional, and (most importantly) fun. They take our theme of “hope” and make everyone in the room that evening feel it—from subtle to significant décor elements. It’s truly an honor to work with Tara and Mixed Company. We will absolutely hire them again for our 2024 benefit.

th a bunch of other couples for a fall 2022 wedding. We were drawn to her energy and bonded over our experiences living around the world. Ultimately, that became the genesis of our wedding theme. Tara took us on a handful of venue tours and the one we went with instantly had us bubbling with ideas that reflected our journey has a couple. But with so many ideas, we weren't sure how they'd all tie together. All we told her is what we wanted it to feel immersive and transportive. She hung on to those inspo words for all 1.5 years of planning. As our concepts developed, Tara was supportive of our vision the whole way — taking our questions, thoughts, concerns, and notes into consideration and executed an unbelievable event beyond what we could've imagined. All of it worked together seamlessly, even last-minute curveballs like a surprise grand entrance and birthday videos! She's a true master of florals and turned around graphics quickly — all with so much humor along the way. We were so in love with her floral work, we're drying and embedding the bouquet and bar pieces into future furniture so we can adore them forever. Thank you Tara for putting together all our crazy ideas. We won't soon forget it.

We hired Tara for partial planning and day-of. My only regret was not hiring her sooner. She was so calm and collected through the whole process. She's SO organized, all my other vendors even commented on her color coded charts and schedules LOL. I don't even know if anything went awry the day of, because she handled it all effortlessly, without even letting me feel an ounce of the stress or chaos during the event.

or, a decision maker, a project manager, a creative director, a producer, and a right hand woman. The day wouldn't have been nearly as spectacular as it was without her. Tara is organized, efficient, knowledgable, and truly such a lovely and amazing person to work with. We hired her about a year out from our big day, and she immediately provided us with tools and resources to stay organized and on track with our planning. Whenever we had a question, she responded in a timely and helpful manner and we knew she was always keeping our best interest in mind. The month leading up to the wedding, we felt like we were Tara's #1 priority. She kept in touch in a way that made us feel like we were taken care of and prepared for our big day. The day of our wedding she was like a wedding fairy, directing our wedding party, seamlessly managing our vendors, offering words of affirmation, providing unconditional support, and always smiling. We couldn't recommend working with Tara and Mixed Company enough. You and your event will be in the best of hands!

ther than picking my husband). She does it ALL (florals, signage, decor, executing, designing & planning) & does it better than we could have even imagined. When I tell you that Tara & her team went above & BEYOND to create the wedding of our dreams that STILL feels like an understatement. When I was first starting out my planning journey - having worked in the wedding industry - I didn't think I needed a wedding planner. Boy was I wrong. From the moment I spoke to Tara on our introductory Zoom call I knew she was the real deal. I interviewed around 10 different wedding planners (Type A bride over here) but from the moment my fiancé and I spoke with Tara she absolutely just GOT us. Not only is she one of the most creative, innovative, talented, magical, hardworking & BADASS people I've ever met she is also the absolute kindest most loving soul on TOP of that which is so incredibly rare to find. Her vision is out of this world, her passion is palpable & she is also just the most amazing person to work with. AND with her full & partial planning services she gave us the most breathtaking florals I have ever seen. The moments she was able to create for us & our guests were just perfection - her attention to detail is unmatched as is her pricing. I interviewed planners literally 10x Tara's cost who weren't even offering a fraction of all that Mixed Company does. Tara does it all. She connected us with other dream vendors, she sourced the most stunning florals I have ever seen & used them to PERFECTION, she DESIGNED all of our signage, she MADE us a full floral wall, she made sure everything ran smoothly, she held our hands literally & figuratively through it all with the best attitude & enthusiasm I have ever seen. The planning PDFs she sent us were meticulous & awe inspiring and then she actually made them a reality!! And every single member of her team that came to execute on the day were just so incredibly kind, helpful & talented as well. Our families, guests & other vendors were all as in love with Tara as we were - our wedding would not have been complete without her. Tara took our vision & made it better than we could have imagined. We had so many of our guests say that our wedding was the most love filled & stunning one that they had ever been to & that would not have been possible without Tara. Tara - we love you so much seriously!!! You were more than our planner you are a friend for life & we still can't thank you enough. Couples - you have a lot of hard choices when it comes to your wedding - hiring Tara & Mixed Company is the best & easiest one you could make :)

es around Brooklyn's Williamsburg. Everything Tara touched turned to gold - the decor was fabulous, the timing was flawless (especially of the reception), the vibes were EXACTLY representative of the couple and their love for each other. She took my best friend's vision and not only brought it to life but permanently impressed the weekend on every single guest's memory forever and ever. She's a miracle worker, the kindest soul you'll ever meet, supportive in the best way, and damn good at her job. Hire her immediately <3

h a joy to work with and made our event stress-free. She is impressively organized and did not let a single thing fall through the cracks. She was particularly generous with her expertise, giving us extra tips and resources to save us time and $$. She quickly went to TASK on everything that came up, big or small, which left us feeling less stressed and supported before the wedding. On our wedding day Tara was a powerhouse! She Seamlessly coordinated everything from start to finish so we could simply enjoy ourselves the entire time. I felt like we hit the jackpot with all of her years of expertise, AND she’s not just a coordinator but an amazing designer, plant/floral magician, and a professional wedding-stress-reducer. Her magnetic personality and calming presence alone are worth hiring for the event planning process, but she’s truly a renaissance woman and an outstanding professional. Even our wedding guests loved her. We Can’t say enough good things. thank you Tara!!!

ered! But what really drew me to MixedcompanyNyc was Tara’s aesthetic and clear love for what she does. The plants and flowers she helps you choose are not only beautiful, but treated by her and the team like they are their children. She keeps you updated, she is accomodating, she is creative, she is fun, she is patient and most importantly, she is kind. I could not recommend her more highly. If you are lucky enough to work with her, I promise you will not regret it or ever forget it!

and pricing. Tara's flexibility during all the COVID craziness was so meaningful and greatly appreciated. I can't recommend Tara/Mixed Company enough!

. Working with Tara, owner of mixed Company New York at Mama Farm was a joyful, organized and solution oriented experience. Without a doubt I would hire her and or work with her again and again. She loves what she does and has a creative passion for her work. Her and her team are beyond professional and a joy to be around.

sy. She never let us see her sweat and she always had a positive attitude no water what was going on. She's so much more than a wedding planner, her design aesthetic, particularly with florals, made our wedding beautifully unique and magical. She and her team were amazing to work with.

a great success. A very sophisticated and demanding client walked away extremely happy from the experience. Tara's eye for design in combination with her insight into the couple's vision and a vast background of experience made for an evening of dreams come true. We can't wait to work with her on the next one!

experience and day seamless, and I don't know what I would've done without her. On a more personal level, she handled bride stress like a champ (held my hand when I stress cried, made me laugh until my stomach hurt always). She felt like a friend and I am SO grateful for her. All my friends, family, and vendors are still talking about how fun, funny, and how much of a BOSS lady she is!!!! HIRE HER!!!!

g Benefit- from the invitation, room décor to party favors. Tara Keleher is a dream to work with - her enthusiasm for the work and sensitivity to a non profit budget are to be heralded.

eam are professional, talented, and a pleasure to work with. Each year, we theme our gala based off a simple yet encouraging phrase—Tara and her team turn that phrase into the entire décor and atmosphere of the evening. Their décor brings hope to so many in our community facing a challenging situation – and her work has truly elevated how we present our brand. From edible takeaways to step and repeats made from a flower wall, Mixed Company does it all and with a lot of fun! It’s an honor to work with Mixed Company each year and we truly miss them (especially Tara and her positive, radiant attitude) post-event.

n for a 400 person benefit in New York City. Her creativity, energy, enthusiasm and complete dependability has made the experience a pleasure. The benefit’s decor and style have never failed to produce oohs and ahs from those attending. The overall design has been stunning, and the details like a flower wall that greeted guests or branded chocolates that sent them home happy were always inspired. Tara has been able to accomplish these results and stay within the budget we agreed upon. I have never had a moment of worry once I knew that Tara and Mixed Company were designing our event!

above and beyond your expectations - I couldn't believe how our venue looked. It was beyond a dream. Exactly what we envisioned and more. As for coordination - Tara doesnt miss a beat. Kept us on track, kept our vendors on top of it. Our day went off without a hitch - or if there was a hitch I didnt know about it !! Couldn't have been happier with our choice

coordinator, she’s professional, communicative, and a much needed source of positivity when things get crazy. She also filled in last minute as our florist and did a RIDICULOUSLY beautiful job. She’s truly great at what she does. If we had to do it all over again, we’d go with Mixed Company every single time.

Very professional, very seamless, would hire again, 1000%.

trusted her vision on just about all aspects of our wedding, including stationery and florals, and she delivered! Above all else, she is just a wonderful person to work with and exudes infectious joy in everything she does. Definitely recommend!

side. Tara (owner) always goes above and beyond to make visions come alive and event dreams come true!

coordinator, that we also hired her to decorate -- and she knocked it out of the park. I wish I could shout my recommendation from the rooftops -- she deserves it!
