Wedding 6/7/26 - We booked Mixology based on some reviews and after a quick call to confirm the energy and professionalism appeared to match what we were looking for. We got DJ Mikey for our wedding. Before the wedding we had a longer call to walk through key points, the vibe we wanted, and to ask and answer any questions he had for us or we had for him. On the day of the wedding DJ Mikey showed up early and was clearly excited and engaged to be a part of our day. He was detailed and helpful with preparations and quick on his feet when the sun overheated his phone before our ceremony. We provided almost full playlists for each part of the wedding, but DJ Mikey worked within our playlists to add so munch energy and keep the party at peak engagement. He also was excellent on the microphone with announcements and shoutouts. Book Mixology and request DJ Mikey if you can!

They helped us create a mashup for our first dance as well as the mother son dance. Mixology is a wedding DJ company based in Charlotte, NC and serving all of the Carolinas. Owner Roman Brown became a DJ at the age of 16. In 2017, he decided that the time had come to start his own company. Roman believed that life's special occasions deserve nothing less than the very best music and entertainment. He made it his mission to give couples throughout the Carolinas a fun, club-like wedding party experience.
Mixology is the result. Roman has put together a team of experienced and talented DJs who share his passion for great music and quality entertainment. Every member of his team has at least five years of wedding experience. They know that good planning makes for great fun. They spend countless hours preparing for each event, and though they always use the very best equipment, they never forget to bring backups, just in case.
The Mixology team believes that your special day is too important to leave to chance, and they are determined to go above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly and according to plan. Their online planning system allows you to design your timeline, make musical requests, compile do-not-play lists, and more. We booked the package with the photo booth, uplighting, and cold sparks, and I cannot recommend it enough. Everything added such a fun, elevated touch to our reception. The photo booth pictures turned out great, and our guests had the best time using it all night. I requested to send our name and wedding date in our wedding font for the photo booth pics, and they were happy to accommodate — which I really appreciated. It made everything feel so personalized and on-brand for our wedding.

With the diverse group of people we had that was saying something. Jeff was our DJ on our wedding day and he knocked it out of the park, we had talked a few days before our wedding and he truly gave us exactly what we wanted. When talking with both Roman and Jeff, I expressed my concerns on wanting to keep the party going. And that is exactly what happened!! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and it’s been a month. The Photobooth was a hit and I LOVED the cold sparklers!! His attention to detail was outstanding—he had the perfect music to keep the dance floor alive from start to finish, and he knew exactly when to play the right songs at the right moments. As an MC, he was confident, clear, and fun, reading the room perfectly and keeping the entire night energized.
On top of all that, DJ Mikey was incredibly outgoing, personable, and genuinely invested in making our night unforgettable. We’ve had so many guests rave about how amazing he was—and we couldn’t agree more.

We’re big into the EDM scene, so Mixology was a non-negotiable for us, and they absolutely delivered. Even with our extra-long “do-not-play” list (which Roman joked was their longest ever), they nailed every single transition and kept the energy high all night. Between the cold sparks, CO₂ cannon, and Chase’s ability to read the crowd perfectly, no one wanted to leave the dance floor — not even us. We didn’t want to cut our cake because the party was THAT good! Still getting texts from guests saying it was the best DJ they’ve ever heard.

NTASTIC my DJ was! Everyone danced all night, there were no awkward slow parts of the night, and every song that came on got me excited. The Photo Booth was a HUGE hit! We took almost 800 pictures and I LOVED looking through them all after the wedding. The cold sparks gave me my dream WWE feel for my reception entrance and everything combined made my night perfect!!!! Roman was so nice and accommodating, I thoroughly enjoyed my night that I planned for so long all thanks to Roman and Mixology!!!!! I you don’t book him, you’re dumb.

Not only did they bring the correct sound system but they sourced specialized equipment last minute! If you are looking for a DJ look no further than these guys and go with the full package, the photo booth, the lighting and CO2 cannon were HUGE hits with our family and friends!

iming and hours needed. We really wanted our reception to feel like a party and oh boy, did Roman deliver. Our dance floor was full the entire night!! Multiple guests complimented our choice of DJ because he really knew how to gauge the vibe based off of the short must play list that we gave him and keep the transitions and great music coming!! He was on time/early to our ceremony and was fully set up and willing to coordinate with our officiant with the sound and timing. Roman took the lead on running the dance floor but didn't hesitate to ask our opinion on timing when he thought that is what was best. I've never had so much fun dancing at a wedding! If I ever have a need for a DJ in the future, or any friends ever need to find their wedding DJ, I will 100% recommend Roman and Mixology!! Thank you!!!

We got the opportunity to have DJ Mikey on site for a wedding at our venue, Brentwood Farms, just a few days ago, and WOW! Since the moment he arrived on site, early and promptly. ...
He was full of energy and already so much fun! We clicked immediately, and I knew it would be a wonderful evening with him! His set up was beautiful, his sound was on point, and his playlist joined several cultures and backgrounds together with a full dance floor. We stayed in communication the whole night to ensure that the evening was as seamless as possible. If we could have DJ Mikey at venue every weekend, we would absolutely love that. I would recommend him to anyone getting married or planning an event, I promise he will bring the hype and fun energy, all the while, being a very professional wedding vendor.

our music taste with songs they recommended for our group’s vibe. From the ceremony to cocktail hour to our sparkler exit after the reception, all of the music was perfect. I had some specific timing requests that they incorporated perfectly, and they even worked with me to include a voice recording from my grandparents who weren’t able to make it to the wedding. They were professional, punctual, and so fun to work with. If you’re on the fence about booking a DJ, look no further. We 100% recommend Mixology!!!

Additionally - the app they use made the process so straightforward and clear - I can’t tell you how many people I showed, I really loved the organization of it all.
As for his actual dj’ing.. he was amazing. We felt incredibly at ease and confident after our check in with him, abs were still so blown away. He kept the vibes incredibly high and the dance floor stayed packed through the evening! The dance floor actually fully shifted on its base from all the dancing that took place. She did an amazing job of finding the right vibe for us, music, wise, and spliced in any requests seamlessly. almost all of our guests have commented on how amazing the DJ was, and have asked for the contact information for Mixology. We truly have no complaints, he did an amazing job and I would recommend him to anyone I know who is getting married in the area!

We had a requested a polka to open up the dance floor, and the way he transitioned a polka into the dance music for the evening was AMAZING! The mixing was insanely good, and our friends were on the floor the entire night. I stayed dancing in my gown the whole time even though it was 90 degrees out. Roman was professional, fun, and obviously loves what he does. We had so many compliments throughout the night on how great our DJ was. The other highlight was that he amazing with my daughter and nephew, and let them have a chance to see what being a DJ was all about. I could not recommend a vendor enough. A must have vendor for any occasion!!!

, party lights, his own table, and portable speakers so he could cover both our cocktail hour and reception in different areas of the venue seamlessly.
The music was amazing—it really felt like a club, not a playlist. He nailed the vibe for our millennial/Gen Z crowd, especially with early 2010s hits. Emcee moments were smooth and well-timed. One small note: Mixology also rents dance floors, which we didn’t know until after booking with someone else. It would’ve been super convenient to bundle that with the DJ. Overall, incredible energy and execution!

genuinely excited to help bring our vision to life. He took the time to really understand the vibe we wanted for the day and made sure every detail was locked in. We gave quite a few must-play songs but then gave him freedom to fill in the rest of the playlist. He matched the vibe perfectly and the entire playlist flowed so seamlessly.
The dance floor was packed the entire night. Every single guest — from our friends to our family — everyone was up and dancing, and the energy never dipped. He read the room perfectly, kept the momentum going, and made sure everyone was having the time of their lives.
I also really appreciated how flexible and easygoing he was, especially with a few last-minute changes I made on the day of. He rolled with everything so seamlessly and made it all feel effortless.
If you're looking for a DJ who knows how to throw an unforgettable party while still making it feel personal and perfectly tailored to you — DJ Micky is your guy. I can’t recommend him and Mixology DJ Entertainment highly enough!

gs, and the guests couldn't stop raving about him. Mikey did not disappoint! From the start, he was so kind, easy to work with, and really took the time to understand our vision for the day. He made our dancefloor LIT.
We rented the cold spark machines, which added such a beautiful touch to our photos. They were absolutely stunning and created the perfect atmosphere. We also had the photobooth, which was a huge hit! The backdrop and props were fantastic, and we were even sent a repository of all the guest photos taken—such a great touch!
I honestly can't recommend Mikey with DJ Mixology enough. He truly made our wedding day unforgettable, and I will definitely be referring him to all my friends. Thank you, Mikey, for making our celebration so special!

There were a few tricky cues for songs during the ceremony and he executed them perfectly. We can't recommend Roman enough!!!
