Working with Karina was honestly incredible from start to finish. From day one, she was super helpful, open, and really took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from our photos. She was extremely receptive to all my ideas, I even sent her a bunch of Pinterest inspiration, and she made sure to remember and recreate those shots on the wedding day, which meant so much to me.
One thing I really appreciated was how organized she was. We worked together to create a list of all the people we wanted photos with, and she guided us on what adjustments to make ahead of time so we wouldn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed on the big day. That level of planning made everything run so smoothly.
Beyond her talent, Karina brought such amazing energy—kind, calm, and supportive the entire time. She truly made us feel comfortable and taken care of. Her videographer was also incredible, and the wedding video turned out absolutely amazing. Together, they made such a great team.
So many of our guests even commented on how wonderful she was, which says a lot. And when we saw the final photos and video… wow. Everything turned out beautifully.
I can’t recommend Karina and her team enough. If I ever have another event, she’ll be the first person I call. She’s amazing—you won’t regret this decision!

Hi! I'm Karina and I'm an owner of MK Photography. I've been photographing for over 12 years and I absolutely love it! Today I have a little company with people who help me when clients require second photographers or videography.
My photography is not your usual "look at the camera" kind of picture. I pose in a way that helps bring out emotions. That's what photography is all about, to me.
When you see your photos, I want them to reflect who you are. Just know that I will do my best to make you feel comfortable and that it will be fun!

Because of the beautiful pictures she captured and the amazing video that Edgar did for our surprise engagement at Vizcaya in 2023 my now wife and I knew that we had to have Karina and Edgar do our wedding ceremony and reception, which was a year later, this past November 2024. As a same sex couple, planning a surprise engagement and wedding over 1,400 miles away, we wanted to make sure the photographer and videographer we selected were comfortable working with same sex couples and could capture the beauty, essence, and love. Before wedding day, Karina will make sure that she is going to review your timeline with you so the day will run smoothly. Any inspo photos or wants that you have, Karina will make them happen in the finest detail.
On wedding day, her team is always ready to capture all of the moments. I love that she gives good direction, and also always keeps us moving on time. She was so careful to not miss any shots that we wanted and even suggested a few of our own. Her photos are always delivered in a timely fashion, and they are absolutely stunning from the start of her albums to finish! She has an amazing eye for detail.

priate suggestions. On the day of the wedding, she was EVERYWHERE. We got comments throughout the entire celebration about how she and her videographer were catching every single moment. And when we received our photos, it showed. Of course portraits are so important to us (and they’re AMAZING), but we were so hoping to find somebody who caught the moments among our guests that we might miss, and we 100% got it. The edits are phenomenal, which I noticed specifically going through the family portraits when I recognized that my side of the family wore cooler colors and my husband’s wore warmer, and the edits complimented both palettes so beautifully. I cannot recommend Karina, and her videographer Edgar, enough!!

During the planning, Karina showed us her portfolio which included other shoots she had done at the same venue, which really made us feel comfortable that we were going with the right photographer as she clearly has the depth of experience having worked a ton of weddings and in a multitude of venues. perience would be like before deciding to do it, but Karina was full of ideas and suggestions. She sent us shots of locations, ideas for what to wear and spent a lot of time with us discussing different styles of the shoot so we could choose what felt best for us. When the shoot started, we were giggly and nervous and started having doubts about the whole idea thinking that we would look silly. Karina guided us effortlessly though, and captured our playfulness as though it had all been choreographed professionally. It was as if there was no photographer there, and how you imagine true intimate moments between yourselves to look like when no one is looking. We haven't planned anything for our wedding yet, but now we know who our photographer will be!

We have heard from various friends, how photographers can tend to overbook themselves, leaving less time to really spend time with you and make you feel special. From leaving less time to plan with you and taking longer to deliver the final photos back to you, none of this happened with Karina. She was super supportive throughout the planning stage which included changing the theme and venue a few times. On the day of our wedding, Karina was amazing. Outside of our own shoot, which was just phenomenal, she captured so many little details and things going on throughout the night with our guests that we would have otherwise missed. When we received our photos back, we got to relive our wedding night through Karinas lens and it was such a pleasurable ride. The quality of the prints was great and we couldn't be happier that we chose MK Photography!

th our photos. Still, going into the day of the wedding with confidence, nothing could have prepared us for just how professional, gentle and sweet Karina was during our session. It's really difficult to pose and try to show these intimate moments that you want to achieve, but Karina took all the nervousness and shyness away and made us feel like it was really just the two of us, while she graciously choreographed and posed us producing the most mesmerizing photos. We booked Karina for our engagement shoot. We had never done anything like this before and booked it on a whim. Although we felt awkward going into it, Karina was so much fun and...
created a friendly casual environment that we were able to be ourselves and get the best out of the shoot. The results were phenomenal and we are so happy that we took the plunge to step out of our comfort zone and do this. Karina was great in suggesting areas to do the shoot, showing us previous work that she's done there and taking her time to explain what the process would be like. The stress free experience and the resulting photos guarantee that we will be using Karina for our wedding and recommending her to our friends and family for any photo needs!

Choosing all your vendors for your wedding is very exciting, but at the same time very stressful. For the most part, you get to test most things before you commit and have more or...
less the correct expectation. I think with photographers it's a little different, because everything you get back was done live on the spot on the day of the wedding. There aren't any do overs! Not having ever hired a photographer for an event before added to that insecurity. We chose to organize everything ourselves as we had a "relatively" small wedding. As a result Karina took on more responsibilities than she signed up for and really helped out with some last minute kinks. When we got our photos back, we were just blown away and in tears from reliving our wedding through Karinas artistic lens. The photos came out more special than we could ever have imagined! Karina delivered within her promised timeframe and ordering prints and albums was a really streamlined and easy process with her. We will definitely be calling Karina the next time we are in town for another photo session with her and hope to make it a long lasting tradition.

pher on such short notice. By sheer luck, Karina happened to be available that day and accepted the job with so little prep time. Karina made herself available for late night frantic phone calls and really helped take the stress away. Come day of the wedding, Karina was a total pro as if she had been with us throughout all the months of planning. I'm so thankful that we found Karina and couldn't be happier with the results. The photos are gorgeous! Karina is a gem of a person and a true professional in her art.

hotos. I was definitely nervous about how I was going to feel in front of a camera. From the very beginning, she was so sweet, responsive and patient with me through months of planning to even set a date to take these photos. Booking was very easy. She reached out to me 1 week prior and the morning of to touch base on where we would be meeting, weather update , etc. She was also very helpful recommending hair stylists after I mentioned to her I was having trouble with that. During our shoot she was so sweet, made us feel so comfortable, gave the best suggestions and most importantly- I felt she really understood me and what I wanted from my pictures. We had so much fun. She finished editing my pictures A LOT sooner (record time honestly) than what she told us would be the normal turn-around time. The pictures- CAME OUT INCREDIBLE!!! They came out more beautiful than what I ever imagined. She is very talented and professional. You can tell she truly loves what she does and is a natural. I would and have already recommended her to family, friends, and will definitely be booking her for future photography. Thank you again, Karina!

to be! She was very friendly, professional, and had an awesome game plan which gave us absolutely amazing photos. This was the first time my fiancé and I ever did a photo shoot so we were a little awkward at first, but Karina kept us laughing and was so good about telling us exactly how to pose. Karina also gave us our photos ahead of time (said it could take up to 4 weeks, but she gave them to us after two and a half). They are GORGEOUS! She is so creative.
