The photos are great, but equally important, they were a helpful, thoughtful, calming presence before and after the ceremony.
Mike and Kate are the BEST! We were so lucky to have found them and we couldn't have been happier with their work :) They are such easy-going and calm people, which can really make...
a difference when you're planning a wedding and dealing with stressful situations. Kate helped me relax on the big day when I was running late before the ceremony and wasn't sure if we would have time to do our first look photos - she didn't exert any pressure to speed things up and instead just gently suggested we could fit in a quick photo session if we hustled slightly, and we were so glad we did because the photos were amazing! She and Mike are so skilled at capturing light and color in their photos without making their subjects look over-the-top "artsy-fartsy." And they even displayed a short slideshow of our first look and ceremony shots on a screen during the reception, which all of our guests kept commenting on the rest of the night :) They really were a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for natural, beautiful photos and a thoughtful, calm photography-duo to partner with!
Mike and Kate are PHENOMENAL. Not only are they amazing photographers, but they are amazing people. I met them five years ago at a friend's wedding and absolutely knew that when my...
day came I had to have them! They were extremely flexible and offered to come in a night early to photograph our welcome reception in addition to our wedding day. Day of, they put us both at such ease - capturing all the shots we wanted in an almost easy and effortless way. They are serious professionals - they know where the light looks great and the best angles to get. They are willing to listen to you and take direction but are also really good at directing and posing you to get beautiful shots. I don't feel like we had to waste hours of our wedding day taking a million photos to get a few good shots - they are so efficient! Every shot was golden! And they are so respectful of you and your guests - never obstructing anyone's view of the ceremony or speeches but still managing to capture it all. We actually had a lot of fun getting to know them and hanging out with them on our special day. And only a few days after our wedding they already sent us 200+ amazing highlight photos (which my friends and family could not compliment enough!) Thank you Mike & Kate!!!
We absolutely loved working with Mike and Kate Duval. I can’t say enough about how easy and fun they were to work with. Before my wedding, I was nervous about how we would possibly...

day makeing me feel more relaxed. They were open to suggestions or any changes and made sure to capture the best moments. Our guests were super impressed by the photos when they set up the slide show during the reception- that was an awesome feature. We made a great choice and we highly recommend them!

formal shots we wanted, but also lots of candid shots including some that captured hilarious facial expressions which are the true us! Our guests loved that Mike and Kate set up a slide show of pre-wedding and ceremony photos during the reception. We have no regrets, and would definitely recommend MKD.

e photos from our own wedding day! We did formal photos outdoors in a very busy public spot, and Mike and Kate did an incredible job positioning us so that in the photos we look like the only people around! They also captured countless stunning moments from the day, when at the time, we didn't even realize they were there! All of our family and friends have commented on how beautiful the photos came out. We will most definitely cherish them always! As an added bonus, Mike and Kate are both exactly the type of people we wanted around on our wedding day--they are fun and relaxed, and also super knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to photography and other wedding logistics! They were an absolute pleasure to work with!

eception, you don't even notice they're there! It's amazing how seamless everything was. We don't yet have our professional photos because we just had our wedding, but the "sneak peak" pics we were able to see are beautiful. Also, I loved how at the reception, they put up a laptop and had a slideshow of pics they had just taken on display! Last, but not least, I sincerely appreciated how quick they were at getting in all the group pics.
Mike and Kate were excellent! You never even knew they were there. The pictures were terrifc!! Our guests loved the slide show during our reception. They caught every great moment ...
and after the wedding the great service continued. Our wedding was out of town for them and they traveled to us. They worked with us to get the albums done and portraits even though we were not local. Everything was terrific.
