Kate did such an amazing job photographing our engagement! She was so easy to work with, professional, and friendly. Kate worked with me beforehand to make sure we were all set up ...
and prepared for the surprise, and things were very seamless on the day of.
During the engagement, she captured every moment perfectly, while ensuring we had ample time to bask in the special moments without any feeling of interruption. When we posed for some pictures shortly after, her experience shined as she gave easy suggestions for what turned out to be magnificent pictures.
After the engagement shoot, I was so impressed with the quality and breadth of photos that Kate captured. She also wrote up a wonderful blog post where her attention to every detail of the proposal was beautifully captured, and this was such a special aspect of our engagement which I hadn't originally realized she includes! Kate also had a really quick turnaround time on our pictures, which was much appreciated.
Overall I cannot recommend Kate and MKM enough for any of your photography needs!
We are still riding high from our experience with Kate and Mike and MKM Photography. We were drawn to them from their instagram and some rave reviews, but they didn't even begin to...
do them justice. From start to finish, they were prompt, professional, inclusive, FUN, and above all, so darned talented. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for their wedding photographers.
These guys are fantastic. Book them right now! Seriously!
I feel like they really got to know us and they nailed our vision for photos. All throughout, they were so encouraging, f...
lexible, and personable. My wife especially appreciated the forethought and planning meetings before the big day!
Thanks Kate and Mike!
I stumbled upon Kate's work either through Reddit or OffBeatBride.com, and from the moment I landed on her website, I knew I had struck gold. While browsing through countless styli...
zed albums featuring the typical wedding imagery, Kate's portfolio stood out like a breath of fresh air. Her photos captured real people, brimming with genuine joy in every frame.
From our very first interaction, Kate felt less like a hired professional and more like a cherished family friend. We spent hours chatting during our prep calls, which not only eased any pre-wedding jitters but also allowed her to truly understand our vision for the day.
On the day of the wedding, Kate and her assistant Tristian seamlessly blended into the festivities, effortlessly capturing every moment without intruding. But it wasn't just about snapping photos – Kate went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. She even carved out time to capture a stylized HBO-showrunner family photo, a cherished memory we'll treasure forever.
Kate's dedication didn't stop there. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to turn around several options for our Christmas card in record time, each one more beautiful than the last. And when we received the final photos, we were blown away. Kate's journalistic eye not only immortalized our special day but transported us back to the excitement and emotion of the moment every time we looked at them.
What truly set Kate apart was her appreciation for our nerdy touches. She seamlessly incorporated subtle Star Trek and space themes into our photos, adding a personal and unique touch that perfectly reflected our personalities.
And let's not forget our two large dogs! Despite their size and energy, Kate worked wonderfully with them, capturing their playful antics with ease and skill.
In Kate, we didn't just find a photographer; we found a storyteller, a friend, and a true artist behind the lens. We can't thank her enough for the priceless memories she's given us.
Kate is an absolute GEM! It was great to work with her for our engagement and wedding photos. It allowed us to get to know each other before the big day which led to a great day of...
experience. Kate and her husband Mike are a fantastic team and made sure we got the shots we wanted (and even some we didn’t know we wanted). We had an ambitious pre-wedding photo schedule so we could spend as much time as possible with our guests. Kate was flexible and helped to create a timeline that allowed our family and bridal party to spend time enjoying cocktail hour and the venue instead of posing for formal pictures after the ceremony. She is efficient and just the right amount of directive to help make sure the photos are ones you’ll want to share and print and post. We received sneak peeks the day after our wedding and an initial set of previews within just a couple of weeks. We can’t wait to get the full set to relive the best weekend again and again!
Kate and Mike photographed our wedding in September, and working with them was absolutely wonderful! As someone who has never loved having their picture taken, I was hoping to find...
a photographer I was comfortable with and who would put my nerves at ease, and Kate proved to be that person right from the start with our engagement pictures. Kate and Mike were super fun and easy to work with, and, most importantly, our pictures turned out AMAZING. Five stars all around!
Kate is the most amazing wedding photographer. She captured the essence of the day so perfectly. We wanted our wedding to have a casual go-with-the-flow vibe, and she was able to f...
it that style not only in the pictures, but in her interactions with us on our wedding day. We wanted to spend very little time being posed and staged, and she made it happen, and somehow caught these amazing pictures in a candid way. We hardly ever noticed her capturing our picture - so stealthy! We did our engagement pictures with her as well, which had the same clean, minimally-retouched feel that we wanted. I couldn't recommend her enough.
I found Kate through the Offbeat Bride website. We were having an unconventional vow renewal - Pi Day/Space/Marvel-themed - and we wanted a photographer who was as geeky as us, but...
, had the photography style I was looking for.
Kate and Mike fit all of that and more! Kate was simply amazing to talk with and answered any and all questions. She and her husband, Mike went ABOVE and BEYOND and the results couldn't have been more perfect. I love, love, LOVE how detailed-oriented she is. All the vendors were so impressed with her through timeline.
I am truly thankful for meeting Kate and Mike. They are an amazing team and I would highly recommend them. I need to have another event just so I can hire them again!
Kate and Mike are not just great photographers but really great people. We are not big on taking pictures and so we wanted someone that made us feel comfortable enough to capture a...
sophisticated but still appropriately dorky version of us. From our first meeting and engagement session with Kate, she was a delightful human and she put us right at ease.
With Kate and Mike, you get a perfect balance of feeling like they are totally prepared and in control of the situation and yet 100% on board to play around. I'd point at something and say "huh that looks cool" and Kate would respond with "absolutely let's try this angle and see what happens." Kate is also very thorough in running through all of the moments and pictures you want beforehand so you never walk away thinking, "dang I really wish we had a picture with X person."
Some specific fun moments: Kate acting as my mobile purse all day and then producing even more things I didn't know I needed from her magical pockets like Mary Poppins. Kate leading the dancefloor in the Wobble with two cameras slung over her shoulders after I realized I forgot the steps. Mike teaching the guys how to fold pocket squares and then still folding most of them himself :)
You guys are the best.
Kate captured our big day so perfectly and beautifully! It was the most magical, wonderful day of our lives so far and she absolutely nailed it! There just aren't enough words to d...
escribe how exceptionally well she captured our wedding.
She's SO much more than just a talented photographer. She's extremely organized, incredibly personable (we had a great time meeting with her to talk about our wedding details and what we wanted), professional, wedding-industry knowledgable, has a great artistic eye and made everyone feel so comfortable! I could go on and on about how awesome she is and we're so happy and lucky to have found her for our wedding day. We will treasure our wedding photos forever! Without a doubt, we hope to use her talents again in the future. 11/10!!
We absolutely LOVED having Kate as our wedding photographer. From the time we first met her, she was extremely organized and so fun to be around. She made us feel like friends more...
than clients, so it was easy to open up and be comfortable around her for photos. She worked with us without any issue when we needed to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and she took every precaution possible during the wedding as well. Our photos turned out absolutely amazing. Along with traditional family photos, she captured some beautiful moments from our wedding and reception and some super fun candids with everyone singing and dancing. Kate is a lovely person and an amazing photographer. You're missing out if you don't work with her.
We needed a photographer for our small, intimate wedding during COVID times and we were so glad we went with Kate from MKM Photography. Not only did she bring a wealth of knowledge...
and experience, but was also cognizant of protecting the privacy of family members at our wedding and COVID precautions. Did I mention the quick turnaround time for our photos? We received our photos back in record time. If you are in need of a down-to-earth, talented photographer, we would highly recommend MKM Photography!
Kate is simply the best! She took our photos for our intimate, COVID-friendly ceremony this year and will also be taking our photos for our larger wedding/reception next year. Both...
my husband and I aren't big picture-people so we were nervous, but Kate made the process so fun and easy! We've never looked so photogenic in our lives! In the lead up to the event, she thought of everything and was always responsive, professional, and organized. On the ceremony day itself (which had its share of challenges and last minute changes due to a combination of COVID and a hurricane), Kate rolled with all the punches and had a great attitude. From snapping terrific staged and candid shots to getting my The Office references when no one else did, she was a friend, support system, and expert photographer all in one. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and we are so excited to use MKM Photography again next year!
Kate took our engagement photos a couple months before our wedding and they were great. Neither of us like being on the lens side of a camera and she made us both pretty comfortabl...
e and got some amazing shots. That time with her made the wedding day so easy because we were already familiar with her. She and Mike captured everything - all of the little personal details of our day, amazing photos of the ceremony, family photos, grand photos of the two of us and fun pics of the reception. They were always there to capture a moment, but it never felt like they were in the way. They kept us on a tight schedule between the ceremony and reception and we laughed and enjoyed the process with them. Both Kate and Mike are so fun to be around and put us immediately at ease even when getting us into photogenic positions. My husband even commented on how comfortable he was with the cameras and he HATES to have his picture taken. And to top it off, the photos are AMAZING!!! Everyone who has seen them have raved about them and commented about how well they capture us and the love that filled the day. I can't stop scrolling through the previews. I can't wait the see the rest of them!!! We'll be calling MKM for our next photography needs!

lf. Her expertise and experience provided us with breathtaking photos of our special day. I will HIGHLY recommend Kate over and over again. Thank you!
Outgoing, fun, professional, and free spirited! MKM Photography captured our wedding day perfectly, and our pictures are spectacular!!
Outgoing, friendly, and attentive and a dynamic, professional team! MKM Photography captured our wedding day perfectly and we are super happy with the results. xo
We absolutely love MKM Photography! Kate and Mike did an amazing job at our wedding. We knew we were with good people when we found our nerdiness overlapped (hello Harry Potter dis...
cussion at the first meeting!), but nothing prepared us for how amazing the pictures would be. They captured every important moment. They even worked with us to make a special "sunrise" photo shoot, and we had an amazing fall newlywed shoot a few months later. They are great with adults, kids, and dogs!
We LOVED working with Mike and Kate on our wedding day. They were organized and kept us on track while still being fun and low-stress. I'm also very pleased with my "Love The Dress...
" bridal portrait session with Kate and felt like a model working with her, but a model that doesn't take herself too seriously. Highly recommend MKM Photography if you're planning on keeping your wedding day stress levels down.
Kate was so wonderful to work with for my boudoir photos! She was prompt in scheduling and emailing prior to the shoot, she was able to answer all of my questions / hesitations abo...
ut doing boudoir as a wedding gift for my fiance. When I showed up to the airbnb I chose, she was already set up with ideas, lighting, and had even warmed up the house so I wouldn't be cold!! So thoughtful. She coached me through everything and made me feel comfortable throughout the hours she spent making sure we got a good variety of shots. The photos came out better than I would have ever expected and I can't wait to give this gift to my future husband! 10/10 would recommend!!
MKM was absolutely amazing and we recommend them without any reservations. Their photos are crisp and colorful, and they managed to capture wonderful candids as well as beautiful g...
roup shots. My husband and I were both nervous about having our pictures taken, but they helped us relax and take photos with natural smiles and expressions. We loved them!
Having MKM Photography as our wedding photographer was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! We cannot fully express how wonderful our experience was with MKM Photogra...
phy. From our engagement session to the wedding and even afterwards, Kate was a true joy to work with. Kate took so much stress out of the day by helping us organize and prioritize the day. Kate also provided multiple helpful recommendations and a ‘timeline’ for our wedding day, which our entire wedding party and our wedding vendors found extremely valuable! The work Kate did for our engagement session and our wedding was spectacular! On the day of wedding, the level of detail Kate and Jessica showed to capture shots was amazing. We found Kate to be very personable, attentive, passionate, fun, and extremely talented photographer. With her seasoned talent, Kate goes above and beyond to create the best memory for many couples, which explains MKM’s 5-star reviews all the way! Kate, we cannot thank you enough for all your time and effort into making our special day. You are AWESOME!!
If you want the best photos to remember every moment of your special day and wish to absolutely enjoy your event planning process with seasoned, chic photographers, we highly recommend MKM Photography!
Kate was absolutely amazing to work with! Organizing a wedding across the country is never easy but when you add in the additional anxiety of being a same-sex couple, the task beco...
mes that much harder. Kate however made the whole experience a true delight. She was extremely responsive via email, made herself available to talk over Skype, and met with us in-person to go over final details less than a week before our wedding. Day of, her and her husband Mike worked their magic, cat herding our family together for various photos; then just simply being part of the party taking all the photos. Their photos really captured our special day so beautifully and we are so thrilled we had the chance to work with them. 100%, would recommend!
We are absolutely thrilled with the photos Kate and Mike captured of our wedding day. From the beginning, Kate was proactive in being sure that she knew exactly what we wanted from...
our photos. She was responsive to our questions and super easy to communicate with. She was also so flexible and understanding of our wedding date change (to which we owe her and Mike a huge thanks)!
We received a beautiful array of photos, a perfect mix of portraiture and candid shots. Mike and Kate are a dream duo, capturing the same moment from different angles (the shots of our ceremony are especially wonderful for this reason). The photos are also tastefully edited, not at all over-processed but rather remaining authentic to our memory of the day.
On top of all that, we received photos back less than a month after our wedding (and in the middle of wedding season, to boot!). Mike and Kate's down-to-earth vibes made them a pleasure to be around and we feel so fortunate they were able to photograph our wedding. We highly recommend!
Kate and her husband Michael were awesome! Every experience of meeting with Kate, engagement photos, and the wedding itself were flawless. Kate and her husband take great pictures!...
They are easy-going and produce a great product. Would highly recommend!
Kate was amazing!!! I am sure Michael was too; my husband said he was really cool, but I did not have the chance to talk to him too much.

ate, and she and her husband did the wedding together. Kate is full of energy, welcomes all quirks you have, and is seriously the sweetest. She will incorporate any ideas you have, even if it's not her norm, and give you lots of awesome ideas. Everyone feels like a friend to her, and it's hard not to feel comfortable around her. When I was freaking out before walking down the aisle, she even sat down in the bridal suite and sang Frozen songs with me to calm me down. I can not say enough good things about her as a person.
Her pictures are beautiful. She really knows how to capture the right light and make everyone look stunning. My only regrets, from my husband and I both, are that we didn't get a picture with Kate and us. :)
This site was the best for connection with everyone for my son's destination wedding. Loved MKM Photography! They were really on the ball during the wedding capturing those simple ...
heartfelt moments that make an event special. They were prompt, efficient and accurate in a setting with difficult lighting requirements. They had done their homework and were prepared. MKM and The Knot were on it! Good job!
Kate is a dream to work with and she captures those moments you want to have forever. When we met, I told her our budget and what we were looking for. She showed us some of her wor...
k and was so easy to talk to and work with that we said "Yes" to Kate immediately. She takes breathtaking shots that you will be blown away with the end result. We have such a variety of pictures that I can't tell you which is my favorite, they all are! She is a lot of fun and has a great personality and fit right in with our group. She made our day so special and now we have those memories forever!
I absolutely adored working with Kate and Mike! As someone who does not take very photogenic photographs generally speaking, I was nervous about how the engagement and wedding phot...
os would turn out because I don't like having my picture taken, but Kate really put me at ease. She was so friendly, funny, and personable that everything was a breeze and came out looking fantastic! She was so organized and knew all the right questions to ask. I love the style and composition of the photographs and the colors just pop so brilliantly. We received the previews and the photographs back so quickly as well! I can't recommend them enough!
Kate and Michael of MKM did an amazing job shooting our wedding. The photos turned out wonderfully and truly capture the joy of the day. Our family commented on how professional th...
ey were, how well they directed everyone, and how they got all the photos without interfering in anything. We got all the shots and poses that we wanted, and even though it rained during our formals, Kate and Michael took it all in stride and made everything flow smoothly. We are so happy to have photographers we get along so well with, and beautiful photos as well! Great job, Kate and Michael!
A year and a half ago, when we were in the infancy stages of planning our wedding, we shopped around for the right photographer. Considering that both of us were both living in NYC...
for over a decade, we still held onto our hip and trendy ideals. We both knew what we were looking for, but hadn’t quite found it yet. All of the other photographers we met were either too conservative or lacking a certain quality that made them stand out. Then, we met Kate Marchetto of MKM Photography. She immediately clicked with us, and always had a smile on her face. She asked the right questions and before too long, she knew what we were going for. We also trusted her expertise in getting the “right” shots. She’s very personable, professional, and knows what to look for at a wedding to get the memorable shots. She processes what she captures so that the best lighting, color, and energy comes alive in every single photograph. We would definitely recommend her to anyone about to tie the knot!
Kate and Michael are hands down the best. Not only are they amazing photographers, but they are genuinely incredible people. We met Kate and Michael at a bridal show and, after a o...
ne-on-one consultation, instantly knew they had to be our wedding photographers. They are, to put it simply, our type of people. Extremely personable, hilarious, and absolutely brilliant. Kate is super prompt with everything - like scary prompt. She had previews for both the engagement shoot and the wedding ready within days. DAYS!! Working with them was super easy - any questions we had or miscellaneous thoughts that came up along the way, Kate was able to answer immediately. Kate really knows what she's doing, which is extremely helpful for the overwhelmed bride who just wants wedding photos that look straight off of Pinterest. Our wedding photos turned out amazing and are considered some of the best photos among our friends and family (humble brag). So seriously, check out MKM Photography. Now!
Kate at MKM Photography was incredible to work with! From the moment my then fiance and I met with Kate as a potential vendor we were hooked! She was down to earth, open and honest...
, and very interested to hear our likes and dislikes regarding our wedding photography. I was hesitant to have engagement photos and saw them as not necessary and I was SO happy Kate convinced us otherwise. Not only were our engagement photos STUNNING but the shooting time made us so comfortable with Kate and so excited to work with her and Michael for our wedding day. One of my favorite things that they took time to do was ask if there was anything we didn't like from our engagement shoot so they could keep it in mind for our wedding - it was thoughtful and appreciated! Our wedding party and families were all super fans of Kate & Michael by the end of the night - we couldn't recommend them more for wedding photography!
"Kate is amazing, we couldn’t be any happier with our elopement pictures!!!"
I cannot say enough good things about Kate! With so many photographers to choose from, for me it came down to personality, and Kate has one that perfectly meshed with me and my hus...
band's sarcastic cheeky sense of humor. We knew we had made the right decision after our engagement shoot in the American Tobacco area with her. We not only came away with fantastic photos of the two of us, Kate made it a pleasurable experience and made us feel relaxed. Even through having her wonderful bundle of joy, Kate maintained connection with us to schedule bridal photos and confirm details for the wedding day. Each and ever single one of our photos from our wedding day is perfect- our friends and family cannot find a bad photo in the bunch, and look as if they came out of a magazine. With the added bonus of having her husband Mike along for the wedding day, they were able to be everywhere they needed to be and capture all moments from getting ready to dancing the night away. Kate was more like a friend than a hired professional and we are truly grateful to have had her and her husband be a part of our wedding. We received photos back promptly within the designated time frame and did not have any issues scheduling meeting with Kate when needed. Photographs are what keep the memory of your wedding day alive- with Kate's photos on our walls we will relive that day everyday.
My husband and I wanted wedding photographers that were a couple duo so we could have that more coverage of our big day. What we didn’t know at the time of booking Kate and her hus...
band was the amount of detail, time and energy they would put into making our special day the best day. From Skype meetings, to planning meetings in person over coffee, they really took the time to get to know me and my husband’s style of how we wanted things. What makes them over the top awesome, is the amount of effort they went through to making sure our album was exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend Kate and Mike to help you capture the best moments of your biggest life events!
I met these two wonderful people at the bridal show and knew immediately that I wanted them to be our photographer. They greeted me with a high five and a healthy dose of sarcasm a...
nd I ended up hunting them down at the end of the bridal show to make sure I had their information on top. They are such fun people that they can make the poses and photo shoots fun for people who hate having their picture taken - aka my groom. They even helped work around our budget! Kate worked with us and another photographer to fill our needs and she was absolutely phenomenal. Our engagement shoot was painless and the wedding was as well. I would highly recommend MKM to anyone and everyone!
We can't thank MKM enough for all the beautiful photos from our engagement session and our wedding. They did an awesome job and were super professional and awesome people! You will...
not be disappointed if you hire them! Thank you guys!
Kate was absolutely amazing!! She worked so well around our crazy schedules seeing as both my husband and I work retail and had some crazy issues pop up! She is so friendly and the...
absolute best! I didn't get the chance to work with Mike, but when we did meet he was excellent as well. I loved all the options they gave us throughout the entire planning and wedding process!

tures of us, and really helped make my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera and be more ready for our wedding day. The pictures are so lovely and really feel like us - not some staged stuff, but really nice pictures of us being us. We got married this weekend and even though it was cold and rainy and generally gross, Kate and Mike got some really fantastic pictures that make me so happy and really reflect the joy of the day. They put us at ease and made us feel really comfortable. Kate also did a really solid job of managing my big family and making sure people knew what to do and where! She got previews out to us really fast, which was so nice to see the next day. I really just can't say enough good things about Kate and Mike and and so thankful I found them.
Oh my gosh we loved MKM Photography! Kate and Michael are both awesome. They were easy to talk to and helped everyone feel relaxed while we were taking our family & wedding party p...
hotos. Neither of us (my husband or I) are comfortable in super formal situations, and they helped us loosen up and be ourselves. They got great shots of our guests during the reception and their photos really captured the feelings of the day! They are super responsive and flexible, and made everything so easy.
