This was the third wedding that MK was photographing in my family. We had seen their work before and knew it was amazing. We truly enjoyed working with both Jana and Mike throughout the entire process. They are both very professional and always responded to any questions we had almost right away. Their work is beyond perfect. We are going to have a difficult time picking out which photos to print and for our album because they are all so amazing. It's like Mike & Jana of mkPhoto are addicted to romance and when they're at a wedding they are in their true element. It isn't so much that they have almost a thousand weddings under their belt from more than ten years of being in business, it's that each wedding has it's own unique personality and they show up at each like it's still fresh, still wonderful to be there to capture the color, the ambience, all of the special moments about the day as it unfolds. I can't imagine doing anything that takes up my weekends for more than a decade, not to mention all the meetings to be had before the wedding and all the meetings after in designing the albums and choosing prints, unless I really am in love with what it is I am doing so that proves it to me - mkPhotography is addicted to romance in such a way that the day, Thee Day, the one that takes so much planning and is surrounded by so much anticipation, is carefully documented and made so artfully, masterfully timeless that their work creates heirlooms to be passed down through generations. And - it's more than just about the wedding itself! A lot of brides don't realize how long of a relationship they are investing in when contracting their photographer! It's a year or more that you're buying when you're sending in that money to book your photographer. mkPhotography stays in constant touch and is extremely reachable, communicative in the months leading up to the wedding, and after, throughout the proofing, designing and ordering process. And! They are just as enthusiastic about it all as we are to plan and then afterward see our special day all over again, again and again. It takes professionals to deliver what's promised in a timely fashion and these photographers don't forget about you after the wedding is over. Mike and Jana are such generous and genuine people in person; they are the kind of people you would want to work with for all the time that surrounds day itself. It cuts so much stress and anxiety out when you have professionals like them on which to rely. The value of that can't possibly be quantified in a dollar amount, and I wouldn't put my once-in-a-lifetime day into the hands of anyone else.

It has been 3 months since our dear daughter married our new cherished son. Again we sit down with the portfolio of photographs taken by Mike, the owner of MK photography. This work is extraordinary!!! We searched and interviewed many photographers in the quest for the right person for the job. We wanted someone who was a consummate professional and had great skill and talent for uncovering the emotion and beauty of the occasion through his artistry. We have been completely and utterly blown away by Mike’s body of work. He must be looking at every possibility for a beautiful photograph but manages to do so in an inconspicuous way. His information gathering and work prior to the shoot pays off in that he knows ahead of time who, where and what his clients value most in the shoot. There are lots of photographers but then there is someone like Mike who exemplifies what a true artist can do behind the lens. We will be forever grateful for the fact that he managed to create a photographic journal that brings everything, all the emotions, all of the energy, all of the beauty and all of the love, back to us with the turn of a page. After all, the photos are meant to remind of us the fairytale wedding for many, many years to come. His photos mysteriously and magically transport us back into the very moments as if we were living, breathing, tasting and feeling everything all over again and it is priceless.
