II’m a wedding photographer here to document the day of your dreams, to freeze it in time for you to relive over and over again. Whether it’s an intimate elopement by an alpine lake or an epic family affair, I’ve got you covered. That means capturing every little glance in-between moments, the magic in the details - big and small - and then wrapping it all up into a stunning portrait gallery you’ll pass down for generations. Consider me your honorary bridesmaid here to cheer you on, pull the pine needles out of your train… I’m wholly invested in you having the time of your life, and capturing it for you to relive time and time again. When I connect with clients, I’m building lasting relationships that carry on long after your wedding day. I actually call myself an “everything photographer” because I don’t stop at weddings. Nothing makes me happier than capturing all the moments that follow as your life unfolds, as your family grows.
My Approach: I strive to help couples feel the freedom and confidence to be their spontaneous and authentic selves in front of the camera. The last thing you should worry about on your wedding day is feeling awkward in pictures.I’ll guide you as needed, delivering a mix of traditional, documentary, and creative images.

or themselves, but what really sets Makaila apart is her remarkable eye for capturing the raw emotions and authentic moments of a wedding day - the little moments between us when we weren’t posing, candid shots during our ceremony, our family and friends’ reactions, creative shots capturing the decor and venue. She did such an amazing job capturing not only the look, but the feel of the gorgeous natural setting (from the jagged backlit mountain peaks down to us hiking in the dirt with our fancy shoes). She really has an eye for creative compositions and shots that feel genuine, fresh, and full of life. She was great at giving us natural and romantic posing directions and yet also had an uncanny ability to catch the best candids of us, family, and friends.
She was such a pleasure to work with and has a friendly, composed, and upbeat vibe! We’re so grateful we get to relive our wedding day through Makaila’s photography. Thank you again so much again for capturing our day so perfectly!
