It was an absolute pleasure to work with Marietta. She was professional and thorough from our very first meeting. She captured everything that I wanted at my wedding and more. Photographers are a dime a dozen, but those of Marietta's caliber are hard to find. When I first contracted Marietta for my wedding, I knew I had made the decision to work with a true professional, and the photos I saw on her website gave me hope that I'd be getting some top-notch wedding photos too. But nothing could have prepared me for how magnificent Marietta's work was. Throughout the process of preparing for the wedding, Marietta was thoughtful, energetic, and on top of all the details. She arrived with her assistant on the day of the wedding with a huge smile on her face and a calm but energized demeanor. She jumped right in, knowing exactly what to do and, on occasions, knowing exactly what to say to make us feel at ease. My husband and I knew right away that we had made an excellent choice in Marietta. She was an absolute delight to work with, and she made everyone feel totally comfortable throughout the night. We waited with baited breath for our photographs and when they were ready, we were blown away by what we saw. The quality of our wedding photos is unbelievable, and the value is truly unbeatable. Marietta was the photographer for my May 2014 wedding. Not only highly skilled and professional, but very affordable as well. She was punctual, unobtrusive, and a joy to work with. Even when things got hectic with taking multiple group shots or working in extreme Florida heat, Marietta always kept her cool and I got my pictures back in just a few weeks. I would love to work with her again!

Marietta, the photographer, was absolutely amazing from the second we made contact about meeting until the day we received our photos in the mail. She was very attentive to myself and my bride along with all the guests. We were running a little late and she did great at still getting the right family poses/photographs. All of the pictures we received were great captures of our whole day and perfect quality also. We were looking for a photographer that was within our tight budget but still took great shots, was reliable, and shot in good quality. I would definitely recommend ML photography to any one for any event!!!

Not only did our pictures come out fabulous, we still had the best chemistry. From the engagement photos that we took, which were included in our package...to the wedding...we just felt so comfortable and at ease. I despise typical "Posey" pictures and I recieved the exact style of photography I wanted. She was on time, very professional, and just a very cool individual period. All the included extras were very appreciated..we got this highly coveted coffee table photo album...everyone who looks at it loves it. The album cover is an iridescent Picture of my husband and I. Just gorgeous. The only thing was it took longer than expected to get our pictures,and there was quite a delay in the communication. But she did say she had filmed another wedding the week prior to mine, so she was developing alot of pictures at the time. Highly recommended photographer...as a matter a fact, we are going to be taking our year anniversary pictures with her next month. :) and probably more times after that too.

I gave the photographer a list of shots and inspiration pictures but that weren't really used to my satisfaction. My wedding started late so some shots were no longer available do to sunlight but, there seemed to be no plan B. This was not an unfamiliar venue to the photographer so I didn't expect so much confusion. All in all the teaser photos I have seen are beautiful. I hopeful this was just a learning experience for us both.

When we decided to do a secret destination wedding in Miami, FL, the first thing that I booked was the Swedish priest. The second important person that I needed to find was a great photographer. As an Art Director and freelance photographer myself, I looked through many portfolios, but wasn't happy until I found ML Marthinsen Photography. Marietta had the right attention to detail, flow, humour, composition, and bright vividness in her photos. When I started emailing her, I quickly found a professional that was both flexible and perceptive. As a foreigner visiting a city that you've never visited before, then you need a person to rely on, and Marietta did more than expected to see to that our day would be perfect. Despite all of her good advice, I still ended up late due to a not as professional cab driver, and despite a 70 (!) minute delay, she did her job so well, that the loss of time didn't really matter in the end. We got beautiful photos that both me and my husband are happy about and that we can be proud to show to all of our friends and family that were not present at our special day. If you choose Marietta, then I'm sure that you will be as pleased as I am!

Used ML Marthinsen for my Feb 2014 wedding and could not be happier with my experience! From our first meeting, to receiving the pictures, it was great. She's so nice, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Photos were all we asked for, and both posed and candid shots came out amazing! Her rates were reasonable as well, and packages for every budget with ability to customize. I know brides who've spent 5 or 6 times as much on a photographer, and gotten pictures that are not nearly as nice as mine! Definitely am recommending her to my friends!

I saw this photographer on 4 Weddings and when I saw her work I contacted her for a meetting. Marietta was so professional and helpful. She took amazing shots and the photos came out beautiful. Service was great and I had all my photos within a month. I would use her services again anyday. So happy!

Marietta did an amazing job with our wedding photos. Having a destination wedding meant not being able to meet her until the day of, but I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful person to work with. She got all the shots that we wanted, along with so many amazing candids. Whenever people look at our photos, they ask how we will decide what to print because every shot is a great one. She even stayed late to get some photos of us playing in the hotel pool once the reception was over. I only wish she was local to me so our friends could use her too!!!

I hired Marietta to do my wedding pictures because I didn't want the traditional posed and boring pictures. I wanted an artistic journalist approach that would capture the moments as they were happening. She captured all the important parts of my wedding from the first look to the cake cutting and her pictures really told the story of my wedding. I did want a few posed pictures as well and she was open to do those as well as include pictures I wanted taken that I had seen on other websites. Marietta's creative eye was exactly what I was looking for. In addition, she was so easy to talk to and open to suggestions. She also responded to my MANY emails before and after the wedding within a few days. I recommended Marietta to be your photographer for your wedding to capture all your special moments.

Marietta is honestly a great photographer to work with! She did a great job in capturing every aspect of our wedding and trash the dress. Shortly after our wedding, my husband and I were very anxious to see some of the pictures at least to start on the thank you cards, and she was very quick to respond all the time. We truly love her work. Our family and friends loved our wedding album she made for us. Marietta was amazing. This was our sister / sister-in-law gift, since we did not choose the photographer we didn't know what to expect. We live in New York and this also makes somehow difficult because of the long distance planning situation, the wedding was in Miami Beach. Marietta captured our day and details of the wedding so beautifully, she worked in a very friendly and professional manner. I also have to mention that our engagement pictures came out amazing as well, we love it!!!

As an Ohio bride planning a destination wedding, it was tough to chose just the right vendors without ever having visited Miami, but I am so thrilled with Marietta! The artistic styles of her previous work were what stood out to me originally, and our photos turned out just as great! And the price really can't be beat - I feel our photos look as great, if not better, than friends who spent 10x what we did. This lady has a natural talent for what she does.

I had originally booked with a different photographer and less than 2 months away from the wedding our original photographer cancelled! I was frantic I wouldn't find a photographer so last minute!! I looked at Marietta's work online and loved it, so I contacted her. Right away Marietta responded back to me and we met the next day. Marietta showed up with examples and we discussed all detail. Marietta asks all the questions that you wouldn't have even thought of. Not only is her work AMAZING, but Marietta is professional, timely, caring, and experienced!! I would 100% recommend you go with Marietta!!

I had the best experience with Marietta. She was reliable, responsible, VERY artistic, and dependable. She had a package that fit into our budget, and for the type of work she did it surpassed anything I had expected. All of my guest commented on how beautiful the pictures came out. I used her again to do a photo shoot with my sons and those ce out amazing too. I always recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer. Even my other friend who was recently married recommends her instead of the great photographer that she used too, but that's just how good Marietta is.

Marietta was so sweet and paid attention to details. She took every picture she could and got great candids. She also kept asking us if there was an important picture we wanted taken. Se was also flexible enough to stay for an extra hour since she was doing such a great job!

I had to plan my wedding in four months and in budget luckily after meeting , quoting and contacting several photographers in south Florida I was able to find Marietta. She and her beautiful portfolio was more that I could ask. After reviewing her website and portfolio I was stunned by her talent and every detail that she was able to capture in her portraits. As soon as I meet Marietta I knew she was the one; She was the perfect photographer for my upcoming wedding. Marietta also did my engagement pictures in which me and my husband had such a great time because they were fun and very creative thanks to Marietta. At our wedding each picture was just what I imagine and always wanted, she captured the softness, the natural moments, the sequence of a life time story narrated in pictures. We honestly are very pleased with the quality of each picture, we really love the whole album. Marietta is just simply the best. She truly shows her amazing talent and professionalism. I will continue to use Ml as my photography to my upcoming events and highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for unique photography and true work of art.

Marietta is imply amazing. After having one of my worst nightmares come true while planning my wedding (found out my initial photographer was a scammer!) I luckily found Marietta online, called her and set up a meeting. She was super nice and professional about considering I live about 45 minutes away from her and she came close to where I live because she was in that area. She showed me her work, gave me her reasonable prices and after I saw the amazing wedding albums she creates I was sold! The day of the wedding she was quietly taking pictures without it being posed, natural unexpected pictures, she blended in with the atmosphere but when we needed direction she let us know. She was open to every idea we had in mind, and when she saw an artistic opportunity she was sure to let us know what we thought about it, and Im glad she did because those pictures were amazing. My hubby and I are so happy with her work and our album! I know we cannot get another album like that for the price she quoted us. She always answered calls and responded to emails promptly, we can deffinately see ourselves booking her in the future!

I used ML Marthinsen Photography for a Boudoir shoot for my first anniversary present of paper. Marietta was wonderful to work with! Her rates and packages were better than any other photographer I had gotten quotes from. She drove to my apartment, was a few minutes early, and even stayed a few minutes past our allotted time to ensure that we had all of the shots that I wanted! I wasn't sure what to expect of her Boudoir photography as I didn't see any examples on her website, but after going through the process I absolutely understand the privacy issue of a client not wanting to share them online. The photos ended up surpassing all of my exceptions, and were better than any of the boudoir photos I had seen online. I highly recommend Marietta for the her talent, her professionalism, her punctuality, and her packages.

We had a great experience working with Marietta (ML) for our wedding. She is timely, professional and has a great eye for detail. Photos came out really great... a good mix of the bride & groom, guests and ceremony/venue details. The only thing I would say is that if you like or need a lot of directions (on how to stand or place yourself just so), that's not their strongest suit but we didn't mind that. Otherwise, I highly recommend ML Marthinsen. A good value also.

Marietta (ML Marthinsen Photography) made our engagement photos turn out perfectly! We had a great time on the beach together and she made us feel comfortable and ourselves! Her style and artistic eye is amazing and we will use her again for other special events in our lives!
