Mockingbird Cafe

On October 9, 2016 I had the privilege of taking my best friend and making her family. I am so glad that the Mockingbird Cafe and Bakery were the ones the make our cakes and pies for our dessert. We had about 110 guests for our event; we wanted multiple flavors of cake and seasonal pies. The cake was a beautiful 3 tiered cake with a chocolate base and two layers of almond. The almond cake tastes just like my great grandmother's pound cake (but less dense and different texture). My family raved about it. We also got a marble sheet cake for relatives to take home with them which was just perfect! My mom is going to freeze the leftover sheet cake for us to enjoy again and again!! The pies were perfection. We had apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies. Donna and Laura made the apple pie vegan to ensure that my very good friends and coworkers were able to enjoy dessert which I appreciated very much! The crusts of the pies were fluffy and perfect! Our guests are still calling, texting, and mesaaging us to compliment on the quality of the desserts. The tablescape was beautiful, it was everything I could have ever hoped for. Laura picked out the flowers for our cake because our flowers did not arrive for the wedding until Saturday due to the hurricane in Florida. Thank you to everyone for the level of love and care you put in to your work. It shows every time, but it really stood out and meant so much to me on my wedding day.

It was my first time hearing of them in a small town, and they blew my socks off! It is the cutest bakery. Very helpful staff, and great food! The cake turned out wonderful, and we got tooons of complements about how good the cake was and how wedding cake usually isnt good. They did our 4 level cake, and large very detailed groomsmen cake, that was 3D. Very impressive. I can wait to order more cakes from them. All the staff there was great helping with the order process from start to finish, I brought in pictures, and we went of that. It was great!

Mockingbird Cafe baked 100 cupcakes for my wedding as well as a 6-inch cake topper. They delivered to the church and set up. We received so many complements on the taste of the cupcakes and the display! I was very pleased with the value and service! I would highly recommend using Mockingbird Cafe for your wedding!
