We booked for a jazz cocktail hour, ceremony duet and a 5 hour reception—it was so great to have such amazing music from the very start of our day until the end and to work with one group to do so:) Claudio was incredibly responsive and helpful through the entire planning process! They worked with all our strange requests (like needing to have certain Polish songs played on track at random times) My wedding planner was also incredibly impressed by how great Claudio and group was to work with! Because we live in NYC we were able to catch one of their showcases. It was so much fun—and made us even more excited for our wedding. On the actual wedding day Mod Society was outstanding and kept people dancing all night. All of guests keep raving about them! I hope some of our friends with book Mod Society for future weddings but either way we will be sure to keep seeing them when they are in NYC! Cannot thank the whole band enough!!

He did a great job at keeping me calm and excited throughout two years of wedding planning -- even through postponing and replanning our wedding due to COVID --- and made the whole process efficient, lighthearted, and not stressful. Our venue required vendors to have a specific type of insurance and I was really stressed about it, and Claudio emailed me ~3 minutes later telling me he had called the venue and had it taken care of and we were good to go. Planning a wedding is sooo stressful and Mod Society allowed me to honestly not really think about the music because I just knew they had it covered. They were amazing and we knew they were the band for us. They had everyone dancing in this small UES bar. Fast forward to wedding planning during the COVID pandemic - Claudio was so helpful. He was always responsive and happy to talk things out with us. We went from a 200 person wedding to a 26 and kept the band as our entertainment. We got married in NY and during our planning learned that dancing was restricted due to COVID. This was news we were devastated to hear, but Claudio was resourceful and understanding and just happy to play music (they had not played since February due to COVID). Our wedding turned out to be perfect and every person at the wedding was SO impressed with Mod Society. From the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. Their volume was perfect, they brought it up when they could and kept it appropriate when necessary. They even learned Phish for us, which is not their typical sound - but they nailed it. The band members were awesome and friendly. Everyone is still talking about how amazing they are. I know they'll be busy in 2021, but we want them at our next event when we can really turn it up. We're still obsessed.

After researching online, we stumbled upon Mod Society and planned a date night at The Red Lion (Bleeker St.) to hear the band live. As soon as they took the stage - we were excited about the possibility of partnering together. The live shows are a fantastic way to get a sense of the music, vibe and talent. And oh my goodness what talent they have!! As the vocal singers rotated in, we fell more and more in love with what we heard. They say, “music is medicine for the soul,” and that is exactly what Mod Society does. We spent that Wednesday date night at the Red Lion dancing to all of our favorites - alongside the entire bar who was also too inspired my the music to simply sit/drink. Following the performance, we spoke with Claudio (founder/producer/bandleader) and set the partnership in motion. Claudio is a gem - great to work with, genuinely interested in our aspirations, detail-oriented (explaining all of our options), incredibly knowledgable and kind. Claudio provided us with all of the information we needed to make decisions, clarified all of our questions and seamlessly coordinated and moved along the entire process. It was stress free and enjoyable; we so valued his time, patience and expertise! We selected a 9-piece band with 3 singers (Elliot, Lindsay and Keren) and from ceremony to reception they did not disappoint. Working directly with our venue, Mod Society handled set-up and coordination throughout the event - we didn’t have to think of anything - they covered it all! The guitar/bass/sax during ceremony significantly elevated the entire experience, bringing so much love and enjoyment to the ceremony. This sentiment carried into the cocktail hour, with an instrumental quartet set-up (guitar, upright bass, sax, percussion). And then as for the reception, I don’t remember seeing anyone sitting down between courses as the dance floor was FULL. Mod Society had everyone in a groove, dancing, singing and smiling from ear-to-ear to an array of hits. As we greeted and thanked guests, I couldn’t help myself but jump into the center of the dance floor and vibe with the music. The energy was absolutely intoxicating in the best way possible. Following the wedding, our friends and family raved about the music and band - many stating Mod Society was the best band they’ve ever experienced at wedding - and these conversations continue to this day. My mother in particular continues to reminiscence her favorite memory of belting, “Rollin On The River” into the mic with Keren. I so fondly remember this moment as well. I could go on and on - Mod Society helped us to create such special moments that we’ll forever cherish. Thank you Claudio and the entire band for playing an instrumental ;) role in our special day.

They sounded great and knew how to keep the crowd energized and dancing (and were so much fun that a spontaneous dance party broke out on the grass outside our tent/dance floor). They have an excellent and long repertoire, especially for alternative / indie music, which is not easy to find for a wedding band. Claudio was super easy to work with and was probably the most organized vendor we worked with throughout the entire wedding planning process. They also learned several songs for us (Maps, You Oughta Know, All My Friends, and one more) and did a great job adapting them to fit the setting. We are obviously biased but we sincerely think they are the best wedding band we’ve ever heard.

They learned a handful of songs for us including one for our first dance and pulled them all off to perfection. Their catalog of songs is tremendous. All the members are top-notch musicians making the songs sound close to the originals but they do not come off like a glorified cover band. Our guests were out of their seats and dancing throughout the night thanks to the band. They were responsive and so easy to work with leading up to the wedding and truly blew everyone away. One of our guests was a major record industry executive back in the day and said, "I would have signed them, they are amazing"! Thank you Claudio and the rest of the band members for helping to make our wedding an unforgettable experience.

We had a bunch of musicians in the crowd and they were all blown away) and know how to make a party a true party. edding, if our friends were an incredible 10piece band with unbelievably talented singers, horns, guitars, drums, etc. We got non-stop compliments about them. One of our friends even hired them for their own wedding after hearing them at ours. Claudio was super responsive and helpful in all our requests. In particular, we needed an extra-long hora (Jewish wedding music w/circle dancing), and these guys crushed that better than any Klezmer band we've seen. They did every musical aspect of our wedding, the ceremony (guitar and cello), cocktail hour (jazz quartet), and the party (9-piece full band with horn section). They even learn up to 4 new songs just for your party. They aren't cheap, but they're worth every penny.

She said when the girls heard we were having a band instead of a DJ they were super bummed because the only live band at a wedding they had heard was swing band that they felt like they couldn’t really dance to and they thought it would be ‘boring’. But the girls never got off the dance floor and by the end of the night were converted into live music lovers! The band was also super easy to work with and I highly suggest booking them!

st importantly value... They can do the whole wedding: we initially planned on using them for the ceremony (guitar), trio for the cocktail hour and band (6 piece) for the reception. They are easy to work with: on request by us and without issue Claudio canceled the ceremony guitar and added a player to the band two months before the wedding. As for value: they provide the sound system, lighting and, for a nominal extra charge, a photobooth. In summary, they are an easy one-stop-shop for the entertainment at the wedding. As for the band, nearly every guest we spoke with specifically pointed to the band as what made the wedding. They are cool, interactive, professional and fun. Jonathan and Karen are exceptional live performers. Karen does one hell of a hava nagila. Jonathan pores his soul into his vocals. We are so happy we got both of them on vocals. Lastly, Claudio is great and easy to work with, was extremely patient with us and really knows how to throw a great party. I will tell my friends that they need not look further for a band in the NYC area.

The band manager Claudio was responsive and wonderful to work with from the first email inquiring about their group to the very last email when we wrapped everything up after our wedding. He was great to me and our wedding planners and made the process of planning with the band so easy. Most importantly the band was wonderful! They sounded great and Keren (one of their singers) has an AMAZING voice and stage presence that set the tone for our entire evening. She was a wonderful host and moved our evening forward gracefully on the mic. These guys also play a wide range of music. We had some excellent jazz during dinner and then they did awesome renditions of our favorite top 40's hits when we got the dance floor going. For most of us the decision to hire a band is a big one as it is a relatively big financial commitment and the performance can really make (or break) the evening. Not only was Claudio wonderful to work with when deciding which package fit our needs and budget the best (they didn't break the bank and were very flexible) but I had guests coming up to me and asking where I found them all night! It was awesome to feel like our guests got a great musical experience along with a great wedding reception experience all wrapped up in one. I really can't say enough about the professional, talented people that make up this musical collective. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a special band experience. (And I believe you can see them perform in BK so if you have time to check them out before hand I can guarantee that will seal the deal for you.) Here are some details: - We booked them without ever having seen them live. We got married in Upstate NY and were looking at NYC area bands that would travel to our location. Their website is great, with a lot of audio and video samples that really gave a good representation of what they are like. Claudio, the manager and one of the musicians, was phenomenal to work with – very quick to respond to any questions, gave very helpful suggestions along the way on how to tailor things to our needs, and overall just a nice guy who you could tell really cared about making this day special for us. Based on the what we saw on the website and Claudio’s professionalism and knowledge, we decided to book them for our wedding. - We had a solo guitarist, Alon, for the ceremony music. We requested two songs for the procession and one for the recession. He did an amazing job. His renditions of the songs were absolutely lovely and having a solo guitarist made the ceremony feel very intimate. Multiple guests commented on how talented he was and how his music made the ceremony very personalized and so “us”. - Due to our budget, we did not have live music for the cocktail hour, though Claudio put together a nice jazz playlist that they played through the sound system. This was a nice extra that we really appreciated. - We went with a 7-piece band that included 2 singers (Karen and Jonathan - they are the best and have such great voices and really got the crowd going!). They have their own sound technician (which is not something I saw when researching other bands) and the sound quality was phenomenal - The first dance songs were outstanding. Multiple guests commented immediately on how you could tell they put a lot of thought into their versions and MANY guests thought their versions were better than the original versions. - For the main reception, these guys are SO FUN. We gave them some direction on what we liked and didn’t like but basically told them we wanted people dancing and to do their thing. They knew exactly what they were doing and had the dance floor packed. People LOVED them. So many of our guests commented on how great they were, they were the best wedding band ever, how did we find them, etc. Everyone wanted an encore at the end, which they did. In summary, you can’t go wrong with this band. They are extremely talented musicians, fun and energetic that will make your party, and so professional and easy to work with. My only regret from my wedding was not having a videographer – just so we could have their music from the day recorded. Honestly, they are that great!

The band played lighter jazz during the first half of the reception and got everyone dancing during the second half. There was a mixture of songs from oldies to top 40's that kept everyone on the dance floor. After they performed the last song, our guests repeatedly shouted "One more!" because they did not want the music to end and ASV played one additional song. Our guests complimented us on the band the entire night and the days following the wedding. We would confidently recommend Anslie Street Vibes to anyone looking for a quality band for their event!

From the solo guitar for our reception, to the jazz quartet for the cocktail hour, to the smaller band for dinner, and the full band for dancing-- we could not have asked for a better performance. The energy the band provided was great. We received so many compliments from our guests on the music. Again, we highly recommend Ainslie Street Vibes.

booth! This saved us a ton of $$! Claudio, the band's manager, was extremely easy to work with, the band was professional, and the quality of the music blew us away. I was a little concerned guests would not dance to a "jazz band" so I had the band play for 1/2 and had Claudio DJ the second 1/2. I was so wrong - the band brought such a great energy and played such a great mix that the guests could not stop dancing. I only wish I had the band play all night!
