MODE Events

Lindsay Gaeta was our day of (month of) coordinator. We booked her about a year and a half before the wedding and she made herself available when we had questions or were looking for recommendations. She helped us build a custom day of timeline. Some vendors may push the bride/groom to make decisions that benefit them, but Lindsay was there to support our vision and help the vendors to make things work. We had several Zoom calls to talk through any details or hiccups that may have popped up. Overall, she did a wonderful job and I am so happy I trusted her to make our special day flow together nicely. It is important to note that MODE does offer DJ and photo booth services. We went with both of them and loved it! Our guests raved over the DJ and photo booth. Their DJs have experience working in nightclubs so they are up to date with the trending music. I also made several Spotify playlists for the day so our DJ could get a clear picture of what I envisioned. Thank you again MODE events team! You really helped make our day so special!

Angela Arkin was the party planner for my wedding this past Sunday. Because of Angela, my wedding was absolutely perfect. She ran the whole show, and she did it flawlessly. She took care of everything and made sure that I had absolutely no stress. The entire day ran very smoothly, and it is a testament to Angela’s hard work and attention to detail. She went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy the entire time. I wanted to reach out and let you know you have a fabulous party planner on your hands. We used Mode Events for our DJ and lighting we were so pleased, everything was beautiful and we had a blast. DJ Zel did a great job keeping my gust entertained with her music selection. We were so busy dancing a lot of us forgot to eat! Lol Leading up to the wedding Lindsay was so responsive and helpful during the planning process. They provided a DJ checklist that is more like a wedding timeline. This was extremely helpful and helped me keep everything organized.

Mode Events was amazing! We hired Mode Events for our 8/29/21 wedding . Unfortunately it was postponed like many other weddings. Mode Events was with us the whole way doing whatever it took to make our lives easier. Lindsay was great help in organizing. And Rex, well we could not stop hearing compliments from all of our guests on how amazing the music was! We never left the dance floor and would refer Mode Events to others looking for a good time at their weddings.

We had Andres DJ our wedding and he was absolutely incredible! He was a referral from a friend so I knew he would be great, but he definitely blew myself and everyone away during our wedding! Andres made our smaller (50 ppl) wedding so incredible - I was so nervous about what it would be like with such a small group after originally planing for 300+ and he was absolutely amazing all evening. We had so many guests come to us after and tell us how great the DJ was! Not only did he take my requests to play my favorite song more than once, but he made the entire evening so fun for the entire group. Working with him, even while postponing 3 times, was so simple and smooth - I cannot recommend MODE enough

*five stars* MODE Events was GREAT! My husband and I were devastated after being forced to reduce our wedding guest list by over 50%. MODE Events came in confidently and gave us the pease of mind that our loved ones could still “be there” and celebrate with us. MODE was very professional, did a great job incorporating things that my husband and I requested, and made it SUPER easy for guest to join. Even my 94 year old grandma was able to attend virtually. We got so many complements from virtual guests on how high quality and professional it looked. They were able to see and hear everything perfectly. We even got all the raw footage afterwards. They also took photos, colors, and graphics from our wedding website and tied it into the livestream making it feel more personal. I would absolutely hire MODE Events again. Katelyn M.

We hired Mode Events for wedding planning, DJ, and for a photo booth. There truly aren’t enough words to explain just how incredible every single one of them was. Our planner Lindsay constantly went above and beyond for us. She was always punctual, thoughtful, and listened to us. She was so organized and our family loved her as much as we did. We received so many compliments about what a rockstar she was. She made everything so easy for us, our parents, wedding party, and vendors. Our weekend truly wouldn’t have been the same without all of her support. Our DJ, Barrey was incredible. He knew how to read the room perfectly and totally understood our taste in music and what the guests really enjoyed. He was a joy to be around. He was very organized and all around amazing. Our guests enjoyed our photo booth so much and our attendant was so patient and polite with all the silliness that comes with a photo booth. All in all our wedding was incredible and it was in great part because of this incredible team. If you’re looking for a group of people that will help you make your day special and will do anything to make your day go off without a hitch, MODE Events is the team for you. We would absolutely hire them all again.

I worked with one of MODE Events' DJ's for a wedding a few months ago and he was incredible! Very friendly, professional, played awesome music and was overall a great experience to work with. I definitely recommend MODE for DJing and any wedding/event planning services you need!

Great company! We only used for DJ services but highly recommend. Lindsay helped coordinate and find a DJ that fit our style. Barrey was amazing during the wedding! He abides by covid rules and was great at music selection! He was able to read the room and definitely play to the audience. Very happy with our DJ services!

Being an LGBTQ couple, the entire wedding process seemed daunting; having to constantly correct pronouns to each vendor can truly put a knot in your stomach. Out of the 8 DJs that we screened, MODE Events (specifically Lindsay and Barrey) was the BEST option that made us feel accepted and celebrated. Their willingness to get to know us, offer additional services (ask about the cold indoor sparklers!!!), and act as our Master of Ceremonies made this the easiest vendor choice we had!

I said YES! We both were on cloud nine, thinking of how great our lives would be together. After the emotional high of getting engaged subsided, the cold dash of reality settled upon us to start planning the wedding. The daunting task of the whole process was something that we knew we needed help with, especially with both our hectic work schedules. So we sought out to find the absolute best to assist us. We had heard about Mode from another wedding we went to and always kept them in mind. At the time we did not have anything planned at all, no date, venue location, flower choices, etc. We were starting from scratch. All we knew was that we wanted a DJ from Mode. We scheduled a first time meeting with Chris and we hit it off with him!! It was like kicking back with an old friend but still kept professional. He also informed us he had a wedding planner within Mode. We thought if Chris was this great, how could the planner not be as well. So we decided to meet with the planner, Lindsay. And of course, she was just as professional, friendly, and creative. Lindsay has been in the wedding industry for some time, and she was methodical in her approach to wedding planning as much as she was creative in conjuring up ideas for themes and everything else we had not thought of previously. From the initial meeting we knew she would be the right coordinator for us. She has this magical checklist, and I love me some checklists. It kept us on track and ensured things were taken care of in a timely manner. She prepared us for vendor meetings while we were still settling on photographer/videographer/florist/venue, etc. She kept us on schedule and was very flexible in setting up regular meetings in person and through video chat. She went with us to many venue visits and having her with us was invaluable, to say the least. She also definitely understood what our style and palette was for the wedding, which also helped her narrowed down some other great vendors for us. On the morning of the wedding, I probably freaked out twice in which no one had any control over except the good Lord upstairs. But the rest of the day went smoothly. The entire wedding party never had their cell phones with them, cause Lindsay and Gianna (Lindsay's assistant) were on standby all day talking to the vendors when/if issues arose (I honestly don't know if we had any issues on the day of the wedding, because they either planned it out perfectly, or resolved it quickly!). Barry was also our DJ for the night!! He kept the crowd going all night and kept to our play lists and do not play lists. Billy (Barry's assistant) also kept the photobooth running all night, and guests really enjoyed it! Mode had a ton of options for the reception to choose from. Whether it be custom uplighting, fog/smoke machine, cold sparklers, or whatever you can possibly imagine to spruce up a venue, Mode has it and them some. Lindsay and the team at Mode made our special day come to a happily ever after. Going with Mode to handle all our wedding services was possibly the best decision we made! (after I said "yes") =D

Highly recommend. Very professional but more important super friendly, knowledgeable and made the planning, the day and our memories the best. Lindsay was amazing and so was Chris. You want them helping you plan your wedding!

Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin. Let me start by saying your wedding DJ will be a make or break for the wedding. The music and dancing are what everyone is waiting for and what they (and you) will remember after the celebration is over!! Peter did a phenomenal job being the DJ and honestly EXCEEDED any expectations we had. He was so easy to work with (good communication, professional, timely) and so much fun at the wedding!! The songs, the transitions, and the announcing were absolutely perfect!!! There was not a single moment when the dance floor was not packed and I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun dancing!!! I got married in early October and people are still raving to me about the music and the DJ....we’re not over it!!! I’ve gone to a few weddings after mine and the dance floors are not consistently packed and I can tell the DJ doesn’t have a sense of what really fires up the crowd like Mode Events does. Please do yourself and your guests a favor and make your celebration a night no one will forget:) DJ Peter and Mode Events has all my support!

PJ and Mode Events were fantastic! My guests were all dancing the night away until the very end, he knew exactly what we needed when we needed it. Mode Events were great to work with every step of the way and would recommend to work with them again and again!

We worked with Lindsay Gaeta and Mode after attending our friends' wedding and being impressed with how seamless everything went. Our friend put us in touch with Lindsay, and we're so glad they did. The team was great to work with and really served as true partners to us for our own wedding. They helped us stay organized and supplied us with great vender recommendations when asked. Lindsay was our day-of-coordinator and Peter was our DJ at our wedding last month. Firstly, Lindsay was a highly needed addition to our planning before the wedding and a MUST on the day of the wedding. Her (and her team's) coordination was ON POINT and we are convinced it would not have gone as well unless they were involved. Secondly, Peter's DJ-ing and song/schedule timing kept everyone moving and dancing. It was all wonderful. Mode Events is highly recommended for any event!

If you are getting married, hire Lindsay to be your day of coordinator. She is THE BEST. So so helpful, honest, and sweet, she gets the job done and makes your wedding day and stress-free and seamless as possible. Lindsay's attention to detail and work ethic is crazy, even for a very type A personality. I cannot praise her enough for how helpful she was for a very stressful time, and our wedding day would not gone nearly as smoothly as it did without her. She is one of the friendliest, best people to have working with you and I cannot express how helpful she was. She was also very transparent during the whole process and it was a breath of fresh air knowing she was helping our vision and dreams come true. YOU. NEED. HER. Trust me. She will save you SO much time, energy, and stress.

We had a great experience working with Chris and Lindsay from Mode! From the beginning, they were super helpful and flexible. Our wedding was in Chicago and we live in Cali. Lindsay took time out of her schedule to meet up in Cali and begin planning. She was prompt in her responses and has good attention to details. During the day of the wedding, she came in early to check in and helped us get ready. The wedding went seamlessly! Everyone said the music was awesome, Chris read the room and played songs everyone enjoyed. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a planner and DJ to use Mode. They go beyond what is expected. I have been officiating wedding ceremonies for more than 20 years. Worked with countless event planners and I can tell you with experience, Lindsay Gaeta and her amazing staff are the best. Calm, centered, on the job in every way. Detail oriented. Never losing her cool no matter the situation. I loved working with Lindsay and her sound people, other organizers and everyone. You cannot go wrong with these crew. They are amazing.

We were lucky enough to have Rex from Mode Events DJ our wedding. He was also the MC, and he was absolutely incredible. From the day we booked him, to the day of, he was responsive, helpful, and patient. He sent us a checklist and timeline that helped us outline the entire event. He kept our entire group organized and in order and made sure everything ran smoothly. He also played all the music we wanted to hear and kept the dance floor going all night long! He made our wedding everything that we dreamed up and we would recommend him to anyone getting married that wants to have a super fun dance party!

Rex and his team are amazing!! They made our night memorable and sooo fun. Our guests raved about our music selection and had the best time. There were always people on the dance floor. Rex is very detailed oriented and took time combing through our timeline. He's friendly, down to earth and is super helpful. He quickly answered all our e-mails and gave great suggestions. Mode Events also provided our lighting and monogram. We would totally pick them again!

Peter was our DJ for our son's wedding. His professional from our first meeting, and attention to detail was more than we could have ever asked for. He was prompt for the meet and greet as well as the day of the event. The dance floor was NEVER empty! He certainly made our son's wedding a night that no one will ever forget. Where do I begin?!? Peter was the DJ at our wedding (August 2019) and he was nothing short of AMAZING. As a bride, I didn't have very strong opinions on that many things, except for the DJ. I just wanted our wedding to be fun and for the dance floor to be packed.. and I can say that Peter FAR exceeded our expectations. Our dance floor was absolutely jam packed until the very last song. We had the time of our lives dancing with our family and friends the entire night. Ages 2-92 were out there all night having the best time. Peter was extremely professional, on time to every meeting, and responded to my (many!) emails very promptly. I had a lot of ideas and opinions, Peter took them and then made them even better. So many people have approached us since the wedding to compliment the DJ and say how much fun they had on the dance floor! Seriously far and away the best money we spent. Can't say enough good things about Chris/Mode Events in general but specifically Peter. Thank you!!

As the caterer to a wedding reception in which Lindsay/Mode was the coordinator she could not have made the event go any smoother from our end. From the first meeting with her it was apparent she was on top of every detail. The day of the reception was no different. I would highly recommend her and the Mode Team to any Bride/Groom!

I can't recommend Rex and Mode Events enough! Rex was our DJ and was phenomenal. We had several friends come up to us and ask how we found our DJ, and if they could book him as well. Rex took care to get name pronunciations correct, and to really understand what genres, artists and songs we wanted to have played at our wedding. You know you've got a great party going when no one wants to leave the dance floor, and that's what we had at our wedding. Thank you, Rex!

Lindsay and Chris are a coordination / DJ / wedding planning DREAM TEAM. They were extremely friendly, professional, and capable. (I have a lot of experience talking people down from panics at work, and let me tell you, Lindsay’s the best in the biz.) And I stopped counting how many people told us afterward - “Hey, your DJ was amazing!” Chris kept the energy up, and played songs that delighted all generations in attendance. If you are feeling overwhelmed or aren’t overwhelmed yet and want to keep it that way, and interested in throwing a super fun party for all your friends and family, Mode Events is money well spent. Just make sure you do the homework they give you - that’s how they’ll know what you really want!

I was the florist for a wedding recently and worked with Lindsay G. From Mode Events. Lindsay was amazing at the planning process - constantly kept me in the loop on any changes or comments from the couple & made sure all details were crystal clear. It was obvious that Lindsay cared deeply about the couple and making it a smooth, beautiful day for them!

This is a review from the vendor side - I was the caterer for a wedding recently where Lindsay/Mode Events was the coordinator. The planning process was expertly guided by her from start to finish, with all crucial planning junctures executed accurately and promptly. The venue presented some logistical complications, and she handled those efficiently and properly. We work with lots of coordinators throughout the city, and found her services to be top-notch.

Lindsay Gaeta from Mode Events was our wedding planner and I would give her a 10 out of 5 stars if I could, she was absolutely incredible! We decided that we needed to hire a wedding planner because we were having some issues with our venue and felt that we needed some extra help to ensure that everything went smoothly and it was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. Since we already had most of our vendors booked, we hired her for Day of Coordination and for design consultation for Decor and Florals. From the moment I met Lindsay I felt completely at ease and was finally able to start enjoying the wedding planning process. Immediately once we signed the contract with her she began reviewing our vendor contracts and reached out to introduce herself to all of them. She took over all communication with our venue and helped us navigate some of the issues we were having. She went above and beyond with helping us with decor, including coming to my families house in the suburbs for the day to help dye linens and DIY other projects. About 2 weeks before the wedding, we found out the venue had double booked our rehearsal room which left us scrambling and Lindsay completely worked through a resolution with us. Throughout the entire process she was totally responsive and completely on top of everything. These are just a few examples of how incredible she was and I honestly could probably write pages and pages about the incredible work she did with us, but the bottom line is that I would recommend Lindsay to any bride.

Mode Events is amazing. We used Mode Events for all of our music needs - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dancing. My main point of contact was Chris (also the owner of Mode Events) and Barrey helped the day of our wedding. We had a small wedding without too many bells and whistles, but I really appreciated how Chris made it feel like a big and special event! Chris was very attentive and asked a ton of questions about our preferences and interests - you can tell they want to make sure they customize the overall experience for you and your guests. Mode Events does a TON of big events from weddings to corporate conferences. That gives you a sense for the scale of production that they are capable of managing.... they are so professional and accommodating. I had so many compliments on the music - granted... Chris leveraged my personal playlist, BUT he was AMAZING as he mixed up the tunes. The final selection and transitions of songs were so perfect! Mode Events not only offers music services, but also offer wedding coordinator services! A big THANK YOU because Chris really went above and beyond for us. I appreciate him and Mode Events so much!

Mode Events was awesome! They provided audio for our ceremony as well as a full DJ service for our dinner and reception. They were very helpful during the planning process and were accommodating to all the unique/custom requests that we had. They have A LOT of experience with weddings and were able to offer creative ideas we hadn't thought of. They also have some very helpful worksheets/templates that make the planning process easy. And as for the wedding itself, the dance floor was full all night! People really enjoyed the reception and the dancing. It was a unique experience and was more than someone just playing a preset playlist. They really paid attention to the mood of the guests, knew when to throw in some slow songs and when to bring up the energy, and just killed it overall. I highly recommend Mode Events for any event you are planning. I also would specifically recommend DJ Rex, he is the man!!!!

Mode was fantastic to work with. We used Mode as the DJ for our wedding. They were excellent partners in the lead up to and during the wedding. To start, they were meticulous, making sure all the details of the day were planned out - even asking for the phonetic way of saying people's name. In addition, they were always helpful with suggestions or ideas in the lead up to the wedding. During the wedding, everything was super smooth. They knew exactly what to do and worked really well with our other vendors. Lastly, they kept the party going, spinning a great mix of music. We had lot of compliments from our guest about the DJ. Would absolutely recommend Mode for any wedding or event.

Mode Events was absolutely amazing! We worked with Christian, and he was incredibly organized and listened through the entire process. He totally understood the vibe that we were going for. We were incredibly specific for cocktail hour and dinner songs, but much more open during the reception portion. For the reception portion we provided genres, artists, and of course our 'do not play' list. Christian executed that flawlessly, and is a GREAT dj in general. He mixed all the songs seamlessly and had the dance floor going!

I’ll start off by saying that I could not have dreamed up a better DJ if I tried!! Mode Events was more than we could have ever asked for. Peter was incredibly helpful and insightful from the very beginning, and he went above and beyond for us. Not only did he totally kill it with the processional, recessional, grand entrances, speech set-up and end of the evening dance party we wanted so badly (he was SO on top of everything), he made planing the event such a breeze. He made multiple trips to meet with us and our venue coordinator seperately since the venue was a slight challenge in figuring out how to set up for. Peter even coordinated extra mics, speakers and a special set up for my brother who played and sang the song for our first dance. Everything was perfect, and we have had just about everybody in attendance compliment on what an amazing job Peter did. Can’t say enough — I’m so, so, so pleased with Peter and Mode Events. Don’t think twice!!

Professional yet fun team from early stages of wedding planning to the end of the wedding night! We live in California but Chris was extremely accommodating to help us from out-of-town with his flexibility to meet whenever we were in the Chicago area to setting up video conference calls. He was extremely detail oriented including reception timeline & music suggestions while still taking into account our personal musical tastes. The MC announcements helped the reception run smoothly and on-time, the DJ beats kept the party dancing & all the guests loved taking pics in the Photobooth. Working with Mode events was stress-free and made the night so much fun!

We were referred to Mode Events by some mutual friends and we were not disappointed! Quick meeting with Chris and RJ at the office and then a site run through and we were all set. Very easy to work with and very accommodating. RJ assisted with song lists for each significant part of the reception (first dance, father-daughter, money dance, etc...) and his ad lib sets were perfectly fitting for the group and atmosphere. He was detail oriented and kept us on schedule, but was flexible and allowed to have fun! Very professional, but not uptight. Felt like good friends putting on a party for us! They're so well known in the industry already that even my other vendors were praising them at the reception! Will definitely use them at my next wedding (wink wink)!

If I could give a million stars I would.. if you want to feel freaking amazing about your wedding and have everyone compliment you all night long - then you have to go with Mode Events. And make sure you choose what you want for your final song, because your guests WILL still be on the dance floor when your venue turns up the lights and tries to kick you out.. We worked with Chris and John and they were unbelievable. They put you at ease and are so great to work with and they will absolutely rock out your party. I can't say enough... my favorite memory was when one of my dancing machine guests kept doing his footloose dance and so Chris seamlessly transitioned into the song for him and it was AMAZING.. I could sit here and reminisce the entire night. John and the photobooth were TONS of fun, and he made sure to grab us (bride and groom) at the end of the night before he closed up the booth so that we could get our photos in.. they think of EVERYTHING and follow through with professionalism, efficiency, and FUN. Andres was my DJ and did a fantastic job! He really listened to my suggestions and gave good insight. A lot of DJs will listen to the couple but not always follow through with music types and what they wanted, I didn't have that problem at all!
