We got married at Modeana on April 25th, 2026. We contracted with them in Nov/Dec of 2025. The first person we interacted with was a "marketing" person, who came off very strongly ...
as AI, but we eventually found out he was a real person. We scheduled our walkthrough of the venue with this person. On the day of, we showed up to the venue and could not get ahold of him, and no one seemed to be there waiting for us. We opened a door to the venue as there was a person working inside, we scared him because he did not expect us. When we mentioned the marketing persons name, this employee insisted that no one of that name worked there...that was concerning. This employee was kind enough to show us around the venue and explain all of the ins and outs of renting the venue. When we left, we were a bit confused so we found a different phone number for the venue, when we called, we spoke with who we believe to be the venue owners daughter. She was able to answer alot of our questions, she was very kind and explained that they were very flexible with their payment program, add ons, etc and that they had a list of recommendations for vendors but we were open to use any vendor we would like. Although we had a few concerns, we really loved the venue and it fit our vibe, as a smaller western type location that could accommodate the size of wedding we had planned with 75-100 people. The week of the wedding, we were able to do a walkthrough and finalize things like linens, and table arrangements, although I do wish this was something we had determined earlier on in the process. This meeting was our first time interacting with the owners, they were a bit rude about our balance that was owed. We had been in communication with the daughter, who had given us the wrong total price for the venue so the amount that we thought we owed the venue, and what we actually owed was almost $1000 off. We were a bit taken aback by this, and when we explained to the owners that we would pay it before the event on saturday, but needed to figure out where the extra $1,000 was coming from, they did not like that and were very pushy about it, even though we said several times it would be paid. We were repeatedly cut off when trying to talk through it, and kept being asked "Well how are you gonna pay?? you have a balance? We have all the texts between you and our daughter" (including the text where she gave us the wrong amount due, but they didnt want to acknowledge that.) The day of the event, everything was perfect. The venue looked amazing, Lupe was a great help all evening, the price of this venue included linens, tables, chairs, fabric on the chairs with bows, and tons of florals. The place looked fabulous. It was slightly hot and humid in the venue during the reception, but not unbearable by any means. I can see where this venue could cause some unnecessary stress on a bride who is very organized and type A about planning, I am not that person, so at the end of the day I was very happy with our venue overall. The getting ready spaces for the guys and girls were great, again a bit hotter than we wouldve liked, but not unbearable. The venue was perfect for our 75 guests, I could see it easily supporting up to 125ish people with no issues.
