paid in full. On my sister’s wedding day she received a call from the owner yelling at her with disrespect, rage and accusing her of being a liar. He then began telling my sister that he was going to refund her and leave her chair-less on her wedding day. He literally had her in tears and put her through so much anxiety hours before her wedding. I am not kidding you when I tell you my sister was a complete mess at this point.
I quickly ran outside with a few friends and family members from our party to stop them from leaving. An all-out verbal argument broke out with the rental company being very unprofessional. The owner claimed that he was lied to and that there was no ramp available for him and his crew to unload the chairs into the reception hall. However, this was not the case. There was indeed a ramp and on top of that our family and friends offered to help unload the chairs off their box truck. The owner again insisted he was leaving with the chairs and didn’t care about my sister or her wedding day. Finally, my mother and I asked him what it would take after begging him for over 20 minutes to please put the chairs in the hall. He wanted an extra $200 on top of what my sister had already paid. I guess money was more important to him than a crying bride. My mother and I didn’t argue any further and just gave him what he wanted. They finally brought the chairs in after being paid more money and begging but can you imagine how our day would have gone if they left us with nothing. I hope this man realizes one day that money doesn’t buy happiness. I DO NOT recommend this POS business to anyone.

und and dropped in. Boy was I glad I did. Not only was the family-owned business incredibly helpful and wonderful to talk to, they offered a HUGE selection of choices for us to select from. I was particularly looking at the price of chair covers as we had my daughter's wedding coming up in two weeks and was ready to sign on the dotted line with another company (and I had called several), when I discovered Modern Art. They saved me $1.50 PER COVER for our guest count of 215 people. Unfortunately, as my daughter explained to him upon the return, we were one linen short and she asked Sam to just charge her card. He called me (mother of bride) two days later and begged me to call the venue and see if we could somehow retrieve the table linen because he did not want to charge me for it. I told Sam that I didn't think we would be able to find it and he said please just check. He said it didn't matter how long it took to get it back, he just really didn't want to have to bill me for a linen. This was after my daughter had already given him the authority to do it. This family-owned business treats their customers right and I would gladly give them my business again if i ever have the opportunity. But hopefully, in the meantime, I can direct a lot of people their way. Not only will you save a lot of $$s, but you will be so glad you gave your money to such likeable people! With this whole wedding and a couple of dozen vendors we worked with, Modern Art is one of three that I can say, "well done, kudos, and five stars!" You're awesome!

I know I wasn't their only bride but I felt like I was their only bride which meant a lot to me. Having a good connection with your vendor releases a lot of the wedding stress. t to get anyone on the phone as it seems they shut it off when no one is around- which is often. The women told me to come on in the next day, no appointment needed, and laughed at me when I asked if they offered discounts for off-season weddings. I went the next day to check out the linens. The door was locked and there was a sign that read 'Ring bell for service.'.... should have been a clue. Finally, someone answered the door and asked if I had an appointment. I said no because when I called yesterday they said no appointment necessary. The woman was not helpful and commented on how linens I was looking at 'don't match.' She seemed very rushed and did not ask me anything about my wedding plans and the look/theme of what I was looking for... and dismissed herself and let the man of the store take over- who turned out ruder. He repeatedly told me that these prices he was quoting would not be around long, that I would need to make a deposit if I wanted anything. He did not seem to understand that I just wanted table overlays - I do not need chairs, napkins, bottom linens on tables. I told him this multiple times.
There was no 'thank you for coming in' or attempt to shake my hand or try to help me out. It was basically like I was intruding on their space.
There is a reason this place has prices much lower than others - you get no service or help and are greeted with a very opinionated staff that makes it clear you are wasting their time.

hassle of dealing with their incredibly poor customer service. They were uncommunicative, unorganized and unfortunately did not speak English very well, so I was nervous the entire time we working out details. Turns out, I had a right to be! They showed up with items missing that were written out in my contract so my wedding coordinator sent them back to get them (after they argued with her that the high top tables were not included in the contract, which she promptly provided and proved them wrong). They also showed up with and tried to use wrinkled chair covers and sashes, which my wedding coordinator made them iron (the coordinator is Jesica Spencer Event Coordinator and she is awesome) after they attempted to deny that anything was wrong with them. Probably the most frustrating this about working with this company is that when they did decide to contact me, it was the day before the wedding during the rehearsal at the church or they had the gall to bug me on the day of my wedding day when they had specific instructions not to call me but direct all questions to Jesica Spencer, Event Cooridnator. Even though Modern Art had a good price for the product, I would recommend you save you sanity and spend a little extra money with a company that will treat you better with better service.

he person there barely spoke english. I had to write up my own order and tally up the total. When I called later to update my order, the woman on the phone asked me to e-mail her my updates. I sent her a detailed e-mail. The day I was scheduled to pick them up, she called to ask me what my order was again, because she had lost my e-mail. Upon arriving, the order was ready, but they could not find the paperwork...they are very unorganized and the chair covers are not great quality. I was happy with the price, the table covers, and the chair sashes, but the customer service was lousy.
