At the Modern Art Theater and Dance Academy in Scotia, NY, we specialize in weddings, guiding dancers of all talent levels with skill, confidence, and artistry. While we focus on training pre-professional performers through a Christian lens, we also welcome couples who want a meaningful, beautiful, and stress-free first dance.
We provide a warm, supportive, and educational environment where couples can learn at their own pace, feel comfortable, and create a first dance that reflects their love story.

Caley Lacey
Owner and Lead Instructor
Caley Lacey is a versatile dancer, performer, choreographer, actor, and singer from Schenectady, New York. She earned her AS in Social Sciences from Schenectady County Community College in 2019 and her BFA in Dance from SUNY Fredonia in 2021, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Caley’s passion for dance began at age six, and she quickly realized it would be a lifelong pursuit. She has trained extensively in musical theater, jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, pointe, choreography, dance fitness, commercial jazz, modern, acro, partnering, lyrical, and wedding dance, as well as Latin and ballroom styles, including salsa, bachata, hustle, two-step, samba, merengue, smooth tango, foxtrot, Viennese waltz, slow waltz, rumba, East Coast swing, cha cha, and mambo.
As a performer, Caley currently dances professionally with Wellbeing Dance Company in New York City. In 2025, she earned the first place People’s Choice Award on Dancing with the Capital Region Stars with a stunning Smooth Viennese Waltz. She has also danced with the Fredonia Dance Ensemble, has appeared in over twenty theatrical dance productions, and more than twenty acting productions.
As a choreographer, Caley has shaped productions such as Matilda, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Little Shop of Horrors at esteemed theaters including SCCC School of Music, SLOC, and NSCP.
Guided by her faith, she credits God as her mentor and draws inspiration from her spirituality in both her art and life.
Currently, Caley is the owner and lead instructor at the Modern Art Theater and Dance Academy, where she nurtures artistic growth through dance, music, and performance training.
