Modern Beauty is a wedding hair and makeup salon located in Bedford, NH. Owner and lead makeup artist Kimberly is proud to bring over 12 years of industry experience to the table. Her ultimate goal is to create a range of dazzling hair and makeup looks that clients can remember fondly for years to come.
Kimberly has been the organizational force behind Modern Beauty since its establishment back in 2010. Upon completing her cosmetology studies, she began working with the well-known beauty brand MAC. Kimberly utilized her four years with the company to hone her skills and further develop her passion for makeup. It was during this learning experience, that she began to feel confident enough to fly solo and set up her own business. Kimberly is skilled in airbrush, contour, and natural makeup application and effortlessly fuses these techniques into her work to achieve the desired look. Her most popular makeup request is a soft, smoky eye complete with a dewy foundation finish, but she is more than happy to create whatever aesthetic you have in mind. In addition to providing hair and makeup services to the star of the show, these professionals can offer beauty services to the entire wedding party.

Full hair and makeup trials can also be arranged in advance, allowing you to feel confident with your look and make any last-minute changes to the itinerary. Kim was amazing! She legit made me feel like the most beautiful person in the world on my wedding day. She listened to what I liked and didn’t like and it was the best experience ever. Her and her team showed up on time and we even finished ahead of schedule. I loved everything about my look.

Kim was amazing to work with throughout the entire process! I loved my hair and makeup trial results and I loved the outcome even more on the day of the wedding. I'd never felt more beautiful! I'm so grateful I found her to work with. And the best part was my hair and makeup lasted all day and night. The team was on time and completed all the girls hair and makeup on schedule. Couldn't recommend Kim enough to make your big day even more beautiful and special!

Kim and her team were AMAZING!!! Not only did everyone love their hair and makeup, but they were also so friendly and fun. I received so many compliments on how well they all did, and how everyone really enjoyed having them in the bridal suite with us. Everyones hair and make-up lasted the whole night. I also cannot thank Kim enough for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day.

Kim and her team were absolutely outstanding! They made it out in a snow storm and my hair and makeup were incredible. I had a boho braid with a bright makeup look and everyone commented on how beautiful it looked! Very well blended, so professional, and she and her team was so down to earth and fun to be around. She listened to exactly what I wanted at the trial and made adjustments that I asked for on wedding day. 10/10 would recommend!

Kim was truly amazing and made me look so beautiful on my wedding day. Whatever your inspiration picture of she will go above and beyond to make you look stunning. She will answer any makeup/hair questions from all the girlies in your bridal suite. I will definitely be using her in the future for all my makeup and hair needs. She’s so nice and willing to talk about anything. She has a passion for making you feel comfortable and beautiful in your own skin.

Kimberly and Sukky were absolutely amazing! They were very punctual, professional, friendly, and amazing at what they do! From the moment I met Kimberly for my hair/makeup trial, I knew she would be incredible! You can tell she has so much passion for what she does and she made sure I was fully happy with my look. She is very easy to talk to and is great at giving advice to make the look pop for each individual person. They made everyone feel so comfortable and happy with the whole process. They even took extra care when doing my mom's makeup as she had cataract surgery and needed to be careful around her eyes. I was so obsessed with all of the hair/makeup looks, especially mine! I had advised Kimberly that I had crazy headpieces for the wedding that I needed a hairstyle to fit all of the changes and she did a great job! Kimberly did such a fantastic job bringing my vision together! The look stayed all night and made me feel so confident! It looked amazing in the photos and we all got so many compliments! I would highly recommend Modern Beauty for any service!

I am so happy that I hired Kimberly for my wedding makeup! I don't wear makeup a lot, so she helped guide me into figuring out how to best execute the look I wanted and it came out perfectly! Kimberly also did my bridesmaids and mom's makeup and everyone looked amazing we we getting compliments from all the wedding guests! She is so professional, friendly, and easy to talk to so it was a pleasure working with her! I would 100% recommend her!!

Kim and her assistant artist, Sukky, were absolutely incredible. I had the pleasure of working with Kim for both my engagement shoot and my wedding day, and I couldn't have asked for a more talented and accommodating makeup artist.

For my bridal look, I wanted something elegant and elevated, but also light and natural. I have a redder face that I wanted to cover, but didn't want to look cakey. Kim absolutely delivered!! I loved her simple-but-impactful style and felt so beautiful and bridal. She was also able to give me the updo I wanted, even though my hair was a little on the shorter side. I don't wear make up frequently and know little about its ins and outs, but from initial emails to the big day, Kim was a delight to work with and made me feel at ease every step of the way.

Kim is incredible. I don't often wear makeup because I am allergic to a very common ingredient in most. Kim went out of her way to do a ton of research to find the best products for my skin and executed my bridal makeup to perfection. I had a few changes from my makeup trial, and she listened fully to me and did everything I could have hoped for and then some. She did a truly amazing job and was so fun to work with and was very kind and professional. She also had an assistant come with her who was also amazing. I cant recommend them enough! I will absolutely be going to her any time I need my makeup done for a special occasion.

I can't recommend Kim enough. I was somehow lucky enough to find her business on Instagram 3 years ago and she's been the only makeup artist I have worked with since. She's the first one I emailed when I scheduled my pregnancy announcement photos, baby shower and now every family photo session since. She responds in a timely manner, shows up on time and even comes to my house. It's so convenient! Not to mention while she's over she's so friendly and easy to talk to. I show her an inspiration photo or tell her what I'd like and she nails it every time. If you're thinking about booking Kim..do it! You won't be disappointed to have her a part of your special day. She also always leaves me with the new MAC lipstick she applies so I can have it for touch ups throughout the day, such a nice touch. 10/10 recommend Kim.
