Modern Beauty is a wedding hair and makeup salon located in Bedford, NH. Owner and lead makeup artist Kimberly is proud to bring over 12 years of industry experience to the table. Her ultimate goal is to create a range of dazzling hair and makeup looks that clients can remember fondly for years to come. Kimberly has been the organizational force behind Modern Beauty since its establishment back in 2010. Upon completing her cosmetology studies, she began working with the well-known beauty brand MAC. Kimberly utilized her four years with the company to hone her skills and further develop her passion for makeup. It was during this learning experience, that she began to feel confident enough to fly solo and set up her own business. Kimberly is skilled in airbrush, contour, and natural makeup application and effortlessly fuses these techniques into her work to achieve the desired look. Her most popular makeup request is a soft, smoky eye complete with a dewy foundation finish, but she is more than happy to create whatever aesthetic you have in mind. In addition to providing hair and makeup services to the star of the show, these professionals can offer beauty services to the entire wedding party. The Modern Beauty team offers a wide range of beauty services to take your chosen wedding look to the next level. Full hair and makeup trials can also be arranged in advance, allowing you to feel confident with your look and make any last-minute changes to the itinerary. Expert hairstyling services can be added to your package to help elevate your wedding aesthetic. From boho waves to the latest elegant upstyle, these professionals can seamlessly achieve the desired effect. Your comfort and convenience are important to the Modern Beauty team, and they offer both in-salon and on-site services depending on your preferences.

much makeup regularly, I was nervous about feeling overdone—but Kim understood that perfectly and made sure I looked like the best version of myself, not someone unrecognizable. My trial went flawlessly, which gave me complete confidence leading into the big day. Last minute, I decided I wanted hair and makeup done for the rehearsal dinner as well, and Kim was so accommodating—she fit me into her schedule without hesitation. On the wedding day, we had 11 hair and 12 makeup appointments, and Kim’s team handled it all with grace and efficiency. Not only did everyone look absolutely flawless, but we were also ready with time to spare. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun—her team was warm, friendly, and genuinely a joy to have with us while getting ready. There was plenty of laughter, and it set the perfect tone for the day. Best of all, the makeup held up beautifully all night long—even after hours on the dance floor! I would wholeheartedly recommend Kim and her team to any bride looking for talented, professional, and kind-hearted beauty experts for their big day.

my trial and there was a surprise snow storm, and when I explained my situation she was so kind and worked with me to trouble shoot it and make it work for me, which I truly appreciated. I had 10 services for my party and everyone looked absolutely drop dead gorgeous. They worked with everyone’s suggestions and gave us all exactly what we wanted. I had a lot of different hair types and skin types in my party and they worked with it all! Kim and her team also kept all of the services within our getting ready timeframe so everything ran super smoothly. My makeup and hair were perfect and I looked just how I imagined I would for my wedding day. Kim was amazing and stress free for the whole getting ready process. knew she would be incredible! You can tell she has so much passion for what she does and she made sure I was fully happy with my look. She is very easy to talk to and is great at giving advice to make the look pop for each individual person. They made everyone feel so comfortable and happy with the whole process. They even took extra care when doing my mom's makeup as she had cataract surgery and needed to be careful around her eyes. I was so obsessed with all of the hair/makeup looks, especially mine! I had advised Kimberly that I had crazy headpieces for the wedding that I needed a hairstyle to fit all of the changes and she did a great job! Kimberly did such a fantastic job bringing my vision together! The look stayed all night and made me feel so confident! It looked amazing in the photos and we all got so many compliments! It's so convenient! Not to mention while she's over she's so friendly and easy to talk to. I show her an inspiration photo or tell her what I'd like and she nails it every time. If you're thinking about booking Kim..do it! You won't be disappointed to have her a part of your special day.
