Brides, don’t look any further. You found the best shop with the best service. I went to multiple shops thinking I had found my dress and this store was just a last minute find while I was in downtown. Walking in, I didn’t think this would be a place I would find my dream dress... I was so wrong. Not only did Johnnie help me order a new style (without even trying it on) but it came more quickly than expected. It was the perfect dress and I am beyond happy with going with this bridal shop. At the end of the day, it’s about finding the right dress and they will make it happen.

I came to Modern Bride thinking I was going to walk out with a Lillian West wedding dress but Johnnie and the other bridal consultants listened to our likes and dislikes and went above and beyond what I could've asked for. He had the perfect dress in mind (this guy knows his wedding dresses!) and he ordered a sample to come to the store just for me! I couldn't stop thinking about this Sophia Tolli dress the entire time I was waiting for it to come to the store. I knew it would be the one before I tried it on. And the veil selection is amazing. They have every style, length and color imaginable. And if they don't have it in store, they will listen to your requests and make any necessary changes. If you're looking for a private, more one on one experience, then this isn't the store for you. It's around the corner from Santee Alley and it's a small store. But if you know exactly what you want, Johnnie and his staff will listen and do their best to find the perfect dress for you. I'm excited to continue working with them.

I had gone to downtown LA to begin my search for my wedding dress. I was not planning to actually find the dress on the first go, but when I entered the store (granted without an appointment, thank you Johnnie for allowing me to still look through) I found the dress. It was a very easy going experience, and they have a wonderful selection of dress styles. The ordering process was quick and simple. And their veil selection is beautiful as well!

I came to Modern Bride while wandering around in LA. I didn’t have an appointment but they were so accommodating and made time/space for me. It is a small store but they have a large selection of styles and designers and the staff is very knowledgeable. So happy we found them!

After visiting several bridal salons that have similar designers and some of the same brands as modern bride, I realized how easy and stress free this journey could really be. Thanks to Johnnie & his staff . I went to 2 other stores in downtown la and 3 from Pasadena Glendale and Beverly Hills. Modern Bride is small but big things happen in there . They also explain and show you exactly how the process of ordering works and teach you the secrets of bridal business kinda . I can't wait till I receive my dress in November Thank you Modern Bride for being awesome

They are a small store but with excellent options for every Bride to be and body type! i had tried about 6 stores before i found them and walked out with the perfect dress! their staff and Owner are very nice people and super helpful with everything. ( including getting in and out of the dress). They work together with the tailor and create a seamless transition. I absolutely loved them and the Dress. Thank you Thank you!

I am so excited that we came across Modern Bride. They had such a beautiful selection of wedding gowns. I truly believe they have something to offer every bride--every style and every price point. I am just so impressed by the detailed designs and high quality that they offer, all at such affordable prices. I am so happy that I was able to stay well BELOW my budget of $800, and still walk away feeling like I did not have to compromise on quality/style to get a good price. I had tried on similar dresses in the area that were quoted at $1200, and I really believe the style and quality of those other dresses do not compare to what I found at Modern Bride! I had been to so many boutiques and shops, throughout the inland empire and downtown LA, and this was the only place I was able to find a dress that had every element I was looking for--mixture of traditional/modern style, semi-sweetheart shaped neckline but with intricate laced/illusion straps, layered lace detail/appliqué, illusion straps to a low back with rounded buttons, lace edging, and just the right amount and mixture of beading. The more I looked at my reflection, the more I realized that it was really the perfect dress to suit my style and personality. I knew I found something special at Modern Bride when I walked out of the dressing room and heard my family's initial reactions-filled with happy "gasps" and smiles, all encouraging me that the dress was stunning and elegant. Through all of this, I really appreciate how helpful all of the staff was. I was impressed at their kindness and professionalism, especially because they were very busy at the time with many customers (especially being located in the fashion district), but they were still genuinely concerned in helping me and providing excellent customer service. They were still polite to me, even when we had pulled some dresses off the rack when we didn't know that we were only supposed to allow staff to do that for us 😂 They were patient and did not rush me or pressure me at all, while I tried on a variety of beautiful and unique styles. While I was trying on my favorite dress for the second time, my family and I spent a while looking back at pictures of other dresses I had tried on at various places, just so that I would be 100% sure that I was making the right decision. They were respectful of me and my family while we took time doing this, and they also respected the fact that I needed to FaceTime my parents who could not be physically with me at that time. I knew it was meant to be when my mom nodded her head "yes" when asking her if she agreed with my choice! I would highly recommend Modern Bride to any woman out there on the hunt for the perfect dress at the perfect price, especially if you are planning to get your dress from downtown LA. I can honestly say that I had such a great experience buying my wedding dress here. I hope to be able to post an update with some photos of the dress once it's been altered to perfection, after my special day. To Johnnie and all of his staff, (and to Bobby for referring us to this place) -- thank you so much for making this process a happy and fun one, and for contributing all of your positive energy to this special moment! I got my dress from there, Loved Elizabeth and the whole store from the time I walked in until I found my Cinderella dress Yes from Alfred Angelo. I didn't want to take it off. it was Elizabeth pick my wedding consultant and I loved it. You have to give them a try they are awesome. I did get my dress fitted there and had no problems.

After spending many weekends trying out random wedding dresses at several bridal shops in San Diego without finding not even a dress close to my dream wedding dress I decided to drive to Los Angeles where I found Modern Bride which carried the brand ProNovias I was looking for. I am so glad I did!! It was a great experience without all the tricks other shops use to try to sell you a dress you don't even want. Here I was able to order my dream wedding dress. Thank you to Jonnie and Magaly assisting to give the best customer service!!!

Bought my dress yesterday at the shop it is beautiful. The staff was nice and helpful. They have many dresses you can buy one in stock or order it. They also have accessories veils sashes headpieces, ect. I highly recommend modern bride.

The staff ( Bianca) at Modern Bride are awesome, they are very attentive, and are very helpful in the process of finding you your wedding dress. They are very good at listening and understanding what you are looking for and they make sure they do it within your budget. It was my first visit to find my dress , and I only had to try on 6 dresses before I said yes to the dress. Johnnie gave a very good deal on a pronovias tibet dress and veil. His prices are reasonable and affordable for the quality of designer dresses he carries. Bianca was the sales rep that helped me and she was awesome, outstanding customer service!

My experience with Modern Bride has been the best! I never write reviews, but I've been so happy with the care and service Johnnie (the owner) and Bianca have provided! They have a wide selection of dresses at every price point and really give you their undivided attention...especially for being located in the fashion district. I was so pleasantly surprised and know that I got the best deal and most importantly great customer service. Thank you so much for all your help finding my dream dress! Definitely recommend it to any bride!

Couldnt have asked for more. I got a great deal for a desginer gown. Everyone is very welcomed and i recieved excellent customer service. There is a variety of dress and differnt sizes. Recomened the shop!!! Very happy i found my wedding dress there. 👌🏼

Just purchased the perfect dress from Modern Bride today. Johnnie is truly the best! He made everything from ordering my dress to helping with alterations so easy.
