, and most of all, helped us navigate an unforeseen issue with our hotel's power source on the big day. We hired a huge band with MLX and I guess our hotel venue's power was having issues; MLX navigated these issues so well that the groom and I had no idea at the time that anything was going on backstage. They handled it like true professionals; they are the type of vendor that you want to have on your side when things go ary on your big day (which, inevitably, most of the time WILL happen). They will go to bat for you to ensure that these things do not affect you or your big day -- MAJOR kudos to them for this. They were so much fun that my husband got on the stage twice to sing with them, which they just rolled with and made it so much fun. Our friends and family all wanted their info after the wedding. They helped us coordinate a jazz guitarist and violinist for the cocktail hour (this duo absolutely rocked! loved their song selection), and allowed us to play a Spotify playlist through their system for an after-hours dance party even when they weren't under contract to keep performing. They genuinely just wanted to see us happy and to have a great night. Would absolutely choose them again, and you will not regret choosing them either! Thank you Ian and Janelle and the entire MLX crew!!

them perform as much as possible. The only drawback is that time flew too fast with how many great songs they played, we didn’t want it to end!!! The sound, the quality, the creativity of the medleys all had the crowd raving and praising throughout the night and ever since! My wife and I cannot say enough great things about this band and the way they made the whole night a truly special and unforgettable one!!! Janelle and Ian were so attentive throughout the night and surprised us at the end with a special encore that we will always treasure. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

re going with the right band. We had some family who had seen them play before and said they were the best wedding band they had ever heard - and they were not wrong! We were blown away and our wedding reception was a blast thanks to Modern Luxe! They did a great job of incorporating the songs that we wanted to hear, while also ensuring there was enough variety that all age groups attending our reception were dancing all night long! They timed their break perfectly - since all our guests were on their feet dancing all night, we could all use a little bit of a break so we could get back out there. Our reception was on the “last minute” side, but Modern Luxe was available since it was on a Friday in February. We didn’t give them a ton of of time to learn our 3 songs but they pulled through to learn (and nail) all three songs- no small feat, especially considering one of our songs was quite difficult. They knew how important the song was for us so they did everything they could to learn it in time and hearing that song on our reception day is something we’ll never forget. Our guests raved about how awesome the band was - so many guests that we lost count. Even the folks at our venue were impressed! Everyone had such an awesome time and that was in huge part to Modern Luxe. We would recommend them time and time again.

We chose them because of their wide variety of songs they play and of course, how talented and high energy they are. As an example about their range, we had songs at our wedding from Britney Spears to Rage Against the Machine and they even let my now husband(!) get up and sing with them and had him crowd surfing! :) There was truly a wide variety of songs for all of our wedding guests to enjoy. We have not stopped receiving compliments from guests about how much fun they had singing and dancing at our wedding and I keep watching videos to re-live what a great time we had. If you have the option to hire Modern Luxe for your wedding or event, DO IT!!!!! Truly the best and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family for any future events. were. Each member dressed the part - super classy for the occasion. Janelle and Ian were a pleasure to work with in the planning process. We had a quick timeline of under 6 months planning and still were lucky enough to meet with them 3 times via Zoom. They were spot on with the day of agenda - knew down to the minute on how to run the show! Even with such a tight timeframe, they still learned a few songs for us and completely crushed the entire performance. For the 9 piece band we had, pricing was very reasonable. We were so glad to have such a fun, dynamic, and talented band and would 1000% recommend Modern Luxe for a wedding or similar classy event!

I had a comfort level from my first conversation with Ian and Janelle; I knew they would handle every detail. They set the tone for the wedding with their positive energy and musical artistry. Even the clips they created for the parents' dances were perfect. Each band member graciously shared his/her talents with the music, vocals, instruments, sound and light systems, etc. etc. They also went out of their way to assist with our after party karaoke. If you’re fortunate enough to connect with Modern Luxe, you WILL be blown away. Modern Luxe exceeded all of our expectations and the guests are still talking about the fantastic band.
