We had the pleasure of having Modern Luxe perform at our wedding on 11/16/24 and could not have been happier! The entire band is amazingly talented, kind, and so easy to work with. We chose them because of their wide variety of songs they play and of course, how talented and high energy they are. As an example about their range, we had songs at our wedding from Britney Spears to Rage Against the Machine and they even let my now husband(!) get up and sing with them and had him crowd surfing! :) There was truly a wide variety of songs for all of our wedding guests to enjoy. We have not stopped receiving compliments from guests about how much fun they had singing and dancing at our wedding and I keep watching videos to re-live what a great time we had. If you have the option to hire Modern Luxe for your wedding or event, DO IT!!!!! Truly the best and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family for any future events. Modern Luxe made our wedding so much fun! The band and singers sounded amazing, played all the songs we wanted to hear, and put together a perfect set list that kept the dance floor full the entire night. Even before the wedding they put us completely at ease, and we trusted them completely. We added the saxophone and would highly recommend it. They also learned three new songs (for our first dance and parent dances) and performed them beautifully. They were fantastic at reading the room and knowing what to play next. Couldn’t tell you how many of our guests raved about the band afterwards. 10/10, all the stars, can’t recommend Modern Luxe enough!!

Modern Luxe is AWESOME. Some of the best live musicians we've ever seen, and super professional! It's hard to even capture how grateful my husband and I are that we booked Modern Luxe for our wedding in Annapolis, Maryland. We didn't have a chance to see them live before booking, but saw some very promising Youtube videos and decided to take a chance. And we are SO HAPPY we did! From day one, they were extremely kind, accommodating, flexible, and professional. Now for the music itself... WOW! They flawlessly executed songs from all different styles and kept our dance floor PACKED the whole night. Our wedding had a mix of friends and family of all different ages and cultures (with several relatives visiting from outside the country). We told them we wanted to go for songs that everyone would know and love, and Modern Luxe nailed it!! So many people came up to us during the wedding saying they had never danced so much at an event, and that it felt like they were at a concert. I think three different couples who attended asked us for Modern Luxe's contact information to try to book them for their next event. They brought so much joy and energy to our wedding day and we truly can't recommend them enough. Modern Luxe was absolutely the most perfect wedding band for our summer wedding at Renault Winery. They kept the room dancing and our guests were amazed how talented the musicians were. Each member dressed the part - super classy for the occasion. Janelle and Ian were a pleasure to work with in the planning process. We had a quick timeline of under 6 months planning and still were lucky enough to meet with them 3 times via Zoom. They were spot on with the day of agenda - knew down to the minute on how to run the show! Even with such a tight timeframe, they still learned a few songs for us and completely crushed the entire performance. For the 9 piece band we had, pricing was very reasonable. We were so glad to have such a fun, dynamic, and talented band and would 1000% recommend Modern Luxe for a wedding or similar classy event!

Modern Luxe is truley the best wedding band out there! They are extremely accommodating and they know how to get the party going! Our wedding would not have been the same without them. We have nothing but the highest praises to sing for this amazing band. We booked them for our September wedding and had the wedding of our dreams that could have doubled as a concert. Their musical talent speaks for itself in any of the videos you can find of them online, but you have to see them in person to fully appreciate the incredible environment they make for their shows. They have a vast amount of songs, both old and new on their song list to select from and they will also learn a certain number of new songs for you as well if they don’t already know how to play them. Our music selection included a wide spectrum of genres from polka to rock and even some 90s and early 2000s crowd favorites. They were extremely easy to work with and very professional in terms of communication and accessibility. We had 2 zoom meetings with them prior to the wedding to go over the wedding day itinerary and provided us with great recommendations based on things they had seen at other weddings as well! Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice of band and our friends and family are all still talking about how amazing they were weeks after the wedding!

Looking for a 10+ STAR band--if so--Modern Luxe is your group. Modern Luxe played for my niece’s wedding two years ago and the dance floor was always full. I couldn’t wait to book them for my own daughter’s wedding. After we found the venue, the first contact we made was to Modern Luxe. I had a comfort level from my first conversation with Ian and Janelle; I knew they would handle every detail. They set the tone for the wedding with their positive energy and musical artistry. Even the clips they created for the parents' dances were perfect. Each band member graciously shared his/her talents with the music, vocals, instruments, sound and light systems, etc. etc. They also went out of their way to assist with our after party karaoke. If you’re fortunate enough to connect with Modern Luxe, you WILL be blown away. Modern Luxe exceeded all of our expectations and the guests are still talking about the fantastic band.

We can't stress enough how amazing it was working with Modern Luxe for our wedding. Band selection was a very important vendor choice to us. After seeing LM perform live at a public show and hearing them firsthand, we were so excited to book them. Working with Ian and Janelle during the planning phase was extremely enjoyable and made the whole process so easy. Having such a professional band that knows exactly what they're doing takes away any stress on the actual day. Their performance at the reception exceeded all of our expectations. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Modern Luxe for our wedding. We first saw Modern Luxe play at our friends' wedding, and when we got engaged the first thing we wanted to ensure we booked was Modern Luxe. Not only are they incredible musicians, the team is responsive, kind, and easy to work with. Janelle and Ian communicated early and often with us--we were able to outline the wedding setlist of our dreams. And that was just the prep process--Modern Luxe's performance at our wedding was unmatched. I saw this band at an event and was on the dance floor the entire night. I knew I had to book them for our wedding. They did not disappoint. Ian and Janelle are so easy to work with, flexible, and professional. Our guests LOVED the music and were dancing all night. I can't say enough about Modern Luxe.

My husband and I searched for a wedding band for quite some time before we found Modern Luxe- we were looking for not just talent, but range, as we have somewhat of an eclectic taste in music. When we reached out to inquire with Modern Luxe, we were invited to attend one of their practices, so we could hear them live and ask questions- not only did we find this incredibly thoughtful, but it truly helped us to make the decision to hire them. When we came to the rehearsal, we were most struck by was the range of vocal styles they could accommodate- Kito and Janelle are the lead singers, and they are phenomenal. But Shawn, the guitarist, and Ian (pianist and co-owner) take the mic for certain songs and genres: Ian sang some pop-punk for us, and Shawn sang some country- each has a distinct sound perfectly suited to the music they perform, which wasn’t something we had come across. Additionally, they assured us that they don’t swap out their musicians- the band you see is the band you get—this is NOT the case for many wedding bands. So, we hired them, and that was the best decision we made, by far. They absolutely killed it at our wedding—beyond our wildest dreams. We actually prefer their rendition of our wedding song over the original, because of how beautifully it was performed. To add to that, we noticed people dancing that I’ve never seen dance at a wedding! Our guests were having the best time, and my husband and I barely ate because we didn’t want to miss a song. We wish we could do it all over again, we had the time of our lives! Not only is Modern Luxe beyond talented, but they’re the kindest people, who were so patient with our indecision and requests. They were responsive, detail-oriented, and professional at all times. This band is a rare find-there are a lot of subpar wedding bands out there, but the talent and the professionalism you’ll get with Modern Luxe is unmatched. Modern Luxe played at our wedding on 12/15/2023 and we cannot say enough good things about them! From start to finish, they made the planning process seamless. Ian and Janelle were so easy to work with. We had so many people comment to us about how amazing our band was! The dance floor was packed all night long and the music played was perfect for guests of all generations. They even found a way to have my 87 year old grandfather out on the dance floor - which prior to our wedding day I would have told you was an impossible task! They also helped us with a surprise for my parents by playing their wedding song since the bride's parents got married at the same venue as the bride and groom. There are not enough good things to say about Modern Luxe! We had seen Modern Luxe at a friend’s wedding in 2022 and loved them so much that once we started looking at wedding venues, we reached out to them for their availability. They were even better than we remembered and blew our expectations out of the water! Modern Luxe had the dance floor packed from the start of their performance until the end of the night! Booking Modern Luxe for our wedding was without a doubt the best decision we made. Not only are they incredibly talented and cater to your music preferences, but they are amazing on a personal level. My husband and I felt like we were talking to our friends each time we had a meeting, which made the process stress-free and fun. Where do I start, Modern Luxe has got to be the best wedding band I’ve ever seen and our guests agreed! My husband and I are not die-hard music people and weren’t sure where to start looking for a band for our wedding this past October. Some friends had booked them but hadn’t gotten to use them due to canceling their reception during the pandemic. They swore they were the best, so we trusted and booked them and WOW thank goodness we did! This band and its band members are not only insanely talented (anything they play and sing sounds almost identical to the song they’re covering) but brought tons of great energy and genuine joy to the day and our reception. They met with us ahead of time to decide the set list, made edits throughout the night based on the mood of the crowd and went above and beyond to make the night feel special. The dance floor was filled ALL night which is exactly what we wanted. If you want that DJ feel (fun music that’s not just wedding music for people to DANCE to) and the live band energy, book Modern Luxe immediately!

The dance floor was never empty! Modern Luxe was an absolute hit with my wedding guests! They are extremely talented and have a wide range of genres. We had acoustic guitar for our ceremony, jazz duo for cocktail hour, 9 piece band for our reception and they played music ranging from Nora Jones, Led Zeppelin, Dua Lipa, and Fall Out Boy! From guitar solos to the horn section jumping into the audience for a Bruno Mars song, the night ended with my guests screaming for an Encore! Hiring MLX was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. We took a chance on them having never seen them in person before and they were INCREDIBLE! We are huge dancers and wanted people on the dancefloor all night long. We asked them to keep people dancing and screaming songs, and they delivered!!! People are still asking for their contact saying they are the best band they've seen. At the end of the night, guests were screaming for an encore :) They were high energy, sounded amazing, played songs we loved, and read the crowd. They were so easy to work with too- they were happy to meet with us whenever we wanted and called to clarify a few things before the wedding so they did everything just right. They played the songs they learned beautifully and had great suggestions. They slowed down "I Want to Dance with Somebody" for the first part of our first dance and then sped it up. My favorite part was that they let my husband and I get up on the stage and dance and sing with them. I can't say enough about how much I love them.

As soon as we watched their videos and saw them live at one of their public shows, we knew we wanted them to be apart of our wedding day. Ian and Janelle set up a meeting with us a few months before the wedding, to go through timelines, must-have songs, and any other important information. Our guests cannot stop talking about how AWESOME the Band was at our wedding. A few things we continue hear: "I have never seen a wedding with that many people dancing the entire night!" "Your Band was electric!" "The band sounded great and had so much energy!" Modern Luxe is very easy to work with, both Ian and Janelle do a great job of sharing their experiences and offering insight into the wedding night. Not only were they easy to communicate with, they were also accommodating of our needs, and offered a variety of services for cocktail hour, first dance, etc. Everyone was dancing because the sound was inviting and energetic. Modern Luxe was one of the best choices we made for our wedding --- they are incredibly talented and really brought the energy to our dance floor, and we've been told by countless guests that they loved our band. I stumbled across them during a YouTube deep-dive of local wedding bands and immediately told my now-husband I'd found the right band. We reached out in Sept 2021 and asked if there was any opportunity to see them live before we booked. They didn't have any upcoming live shows at the time but immediately invited us to stop by one of their rehearsals, where we were greeted warmly from the moment we arrived. They played a few songs by our request, though within 30 seconds we confirmed we were sold, and then were friendly enough to all sit and get to know us for a bit. They met with us again closer to our wedding date to confirm all of our song choices for the big moments, even enthusiastically agreeing to create a surprise mash-up of my dad's song choice and a childhood favorite of ours for our father-daughter dance. On our actual wedding day, they were flawless from beginning to end. Their instrumental version of "Helpless" from Hamilton for my walk down the aisle instantly triggered tears. Our first dance and dance songs were perfect. Our dance floor was packed all evening, including friends and family who don't typically gravitate toward the dance floor, and we had an absolute blast. MLX even surprised us by bringing one of their singers who'd actually left the group since we'd booked because they remembered we'd felt drawn to him (though their new singer, James, is awesome, too!). You can tell that MLX really loves what they do and were genuinely invested in making sure our wedding was perfect. We can only hope that one of our friends hires Modern Luxe for their own wedding someday. Until then, we will definitely be seeking them out at one of their public shows so we can relive our perfect night over and over.

Modern Luxe was suggested to my husband and I from a friend who had attended a previous wedding the band performed at. Exact same reaction: AMAZING! We booked Modern Luxe for both ceremony and cocktail hour/reception services. Whether you want a mash up of movie music (which is what we did) for the ceremony or request a line dance in the middle of the reception, these folks can do it all. Their repertoire of music encompassed every genre of music. After the first video call with Ian and Janelle, it was apparent to us that we made a very wise decision. We were so excited Modern Luxe learned new songs for our wedding. They knocked it out of the park with “Danger Zone” and “I’m Still Standing”. Where will anyone find a band who can nail The Backstreet Boys song “I want it that way” and excite a crowd with an incredible Disney medley? Modern Luxe is the definition of professional, fun, and flexible. They are experts in their musical talents and experts at crowd engagement. Their ability to read the crowd meant the energy of the reception never wavered. The crowd was still strong even at the announcement of the final song. All the guests raved about Modern Luxe. Modern Luxe allows couples to customize the configuration of the band with additional horn players, saxophones players, and even an electric violinist. We used Modern Luxe for our wedding and had an incredible experience with them. We had heard them play at a 50th birthday party and knew we needed to have them. They were beyond helpful ahead of time answering our many questions. All of our guests left saying they had an incredible time and that the band was fantastic. Modern Luxe Band is absolutely the band to hire for your wedding or any other event! They were truly amazing throughout the entire process. Modern Luxe was AMAZING! I am a musician and so are many of my friends and family, and the first thing we heard from everyone in attendance at our daughter's wedding reception was: "The band was incredible!" They worked with my daughter and son-in-law well in advance to plan the music to be played at the reception, and they performed a wide variety of music flawlessly...everything from The Spice Girls to Frank Sinatra. Modern Luxe played at two of our daughter's weddings within the last 3 years. They provided exceptionally talented musicians and vocalists. Each of the weddings had "it's own vibe" and they beautifully accommodated the unigue requests of each. The entertainment was fun, joyous and professional. Everyone told us that the band was the highlight of the wedding on both occasions.

We are SO happy we hired Modern Luxe for our wedding on 9/10/22. The entire process since we booked them was flawless. Janelle and Ian answered all our questions in a timely manner via email and we video chatted to get to know each other and run through our timeline. Their performance at our wedding was truly unforgettable. Our guests could not stop complimenting the band and asking how we found them. They kept our dance floor PACKED until 10pm when the reception ended. There were still 100+ people dancing when they announced time for a last song. They are amazing at reading the crowd and engaging with guests. Janelle sang a favorite song of mine and my college friends in a crowd with us and the band even invited me (bride) to come up and hold the guitar for a solo. We could not have asked for a more perfect reception and Modern Luxe had everything to do with it. Do not hesitate and book them!!!! We also added 2 horns and feel it made a huge difference.

Modern Luxe saved our wedding! We got scammed by a fake band a week before our wedding. They came in, listened to everything we requested and made our wedding simply amazing! My husband and I were to 2 weddings that had Modern Luxe as the band. When we got engaged we basically decided our wedding date would be based on their availability! Not only are they BEYOND talented, they know how to get the party going and keep it going! I also love that they "MC" the event, but it's not your typical "long island" DJ vibe at ALL. I think every single guest at some point came up to me and told me how amazing the band was! HIGHLY recommend! This is only a suggestion for brides...they suggested extending cocktail hour, which I LOVED because who doesn't love cocktail hour ;) But I wish I asked them to start playing because we technically missed out on half hour of music! When we started planning our wedding, one of our top priorities was finding a really great band. Planning during a pandemic made that a challenge since there weren't many opportunities to see bands perform live before booking. We found Modern Luxe through one of the wedding websites, and after watching their demo video on YouTube, we knew they were our band! Ian, Janelle and the whole crew far exceeded our expectations. They took the time to meet with us virtually, helped us create a timeline, learned our *very unique* first dance song, and provided an incredible performance on our wedding day. We have received so many compliments from our guests and even people who weren't at our wedding have asked "who was your band?!". I would 100% recommend Modern Luxe to anyone looking for the BEST band for your wedding or event.

We could not recommend Modern Luxe more highly. Our wedding was June 18 and people are STILL talking about how amazing they were. They were also so easy to work with and genuinely fantastic people. DEFINITELY book them!!

Hands down the most amazing band out there. We as well as all of our guests were absolutely blown away. We first heard them a few years ago at a friends wedding, and when we got engaged we looked no further, as we knew we had to bring them up from Philly for our special day. From the moment cocktail hour started, they already had our guests buzzing. The acoustic set they played really set the mood for the evening. During the reception, no one, and I mean no one, left the dance floor all night. Everyone from our 18 year old guests to our 85 year old guests couldn’t get enough. From Beyoncé to Jackson 5 to Bruce Springsteen, from to Earth Wind and Fire, to Biggie Smalls to Stevie Wonder, from Frank Sinatra to Tim McGraw to Walk the Moon to Backstreet Boys they nailed everything. They even learned and crushed two Kygo songs for us (and we may even like their version better than the original). Ian and Janelle were also fantastic to work with in the lead up to our wedding day. They were very responsive over email, and we’re always happy to hop on a zoom with us to chat through our questions or requests we had (which were plentiful given the type A bride involved). We could not recommend them enough. We hope all of our friends choose them for their own weddings in future so we can see them live again soon. All any of our guests could talk about in the days and weeks after was how amazing the band was. At our 25th anniversary, we know our friends and family will still be talking about how much fun the night was because of how incredible they were.

We absolutely LOVED Modern Luxe as our wedding band! One of my BIGGEST wishes for my wedding was the have an amazing band that kept everyone partying and on the dance floor all night and that is exactly what they provided! I wanted a mix of older songs (70s, 80s, 90s) with some more modern classic songs and they completely understood that assignment. Every song that came on next was just better and better and perfect. Everyone raved about them at our wedding, including the venue! They were so easy to work with and had wonderful communication. For our ceremony they even offered to have the leader female singer sing as we all walked down the aisle which was so beautiful. They learned songs for us without questions and literally were so flexible to do whatever we needed/wanted. They offered songs and suggestions for everything which was so helpful. Not to mention they had lighting setup was awesome! If you are looking for an amazing and fun band to keep your wedding dancing and partying all night Modern Luxe is the BEST!

Modern Luxe were absolute rockstars at our wedding! Dozens of guests came up to us and raved about the music! I’m still getting messages from people telling us how amazing our wedding band was. Not only that, but MLX saved our night by staying late and playing for an extra half an hour when the DJ for after party was running late and it was the best part of the night! These guys are absolute professionals and will give you the best night of your life!

Honestly, they were hands down the best decision we made and we talked to a lot of Philly/NYC bands. My husband and I have very different music preferences and Modern Luxe made sure to play all the songs that would make both of us happy, along with learning new songs just for our wedding. I had a clear vision for our ceremony and they created the most magical moment for us. Our first dance was to a song that isn’t very popular, they not only learned it, but sent us their practice recording so we could use it during our dance lessons. They went above and beyond, are so accommodating, Ian and Janelle are SO easy to work with, and to top it off they are AMAZINGLY talented musicians. Our guests at the end of the night started shouting encore like we were at a concert and they played Bohemian Rhapsody as the last song and killed it. I wish I could get married all over again just to dance all night to them! You will not be disappointed and trust me I’m very picky!!!!

THE BEST BAND EVER! I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect band and could not have been happier with Modern Luxe. From the beginning they were extremely caring and easy to work with. The night of our wedding they were absolutely amazing and made our night so memorable and perfect. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and we still (4 months later) have guests talking and asking about our band. THANK YOU MODERN LUXE! I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could!

We’re struggling to find words to express how truly amazing Modern Luxe was. They made our wedding. They were so much fun, even in the midst of COVID the dance floor was packed the entire night. They have so much range, they played everything from oldies for our parent’s friends to Ke$ha and Rihanna, to Zombie by The Cranberries (cue the groom crowd surfing). Every single song, every note, every vocal and instrument sounded absolutely perfect. All of guests were blown away, especially a few of our guests who are professional musicians. At one point during ‘We Found Love’ my friend turned to me and asked if they were DJing Rihanna- nope!! It was Janelle’s amazing vocals. You won’t find a more fun or better sounding band. Modern Luxe was also a dream to work with. Ian, the bandleader, set up a call with us where we ran through the whole night. He made great suggestions of songs for ceremony music and they hit the entire wedding night timeline exactly right. Modern Luxe was the best part of our wedding and we could not recommend them more. We’ll be eternally grateful to them for making our wedding the most fun party we’ve ever been to! THANK YOU MODERN LUXE!
