Now for the details you probably care about: - Lyssa is responsive & helpful - we had numerous big wrenches thrown at us during wedding planning (venue got sold, etc.) and Lyssa was ready for our panicked call, talked us through options and making us confident things would be O.K. - Lyssa is fun - I know that's not top of the list, but you spend a lot of time interacting with your planner, so it helps if you enjoy it. - We hired her to be planner & day of coordinator. We also went with her extra packages where she handles the majority of floral & decor. - Lyssa (especially if helping with decor) helps you fit your vision into your budget. She's a regular at all the craft stores & FB marketplace around Milwaukee and knows all their deals - if we had bought the exact same stuff ourselves without Lyssa handling it, I bet we would have paid 3x as much for the decor we used. We already recommended Lyssa to a couple friends, so we'd recommend her to you as well. P.S: her husband is a great D.J., so you potentially just checked off finding 2 vendors at once. :D

and the day of coordination. I was grateful to have chatted with her husband Shawn whom we used for our dj services as well to find out his wife Lyssa was a wedding planner/coordinator! I loved having a husband and wife team running the day. Lyssa was there to help at the rehearsal the day before the wedding and helped set up the barn and steam dresses and men’s clothing (because why would the men get their clothes steamed before hand right?). The day of the wedding came and Lyssa showed up and was ready to go and get the day started. She was there thinking of all the small details so that I wouldn’t have to stress that day (I in fact had no stressors with Lyssa by our side). She went along with our large family and bridal party and having the best man do a fake first look in a wedding dress she was there for it all! I am forever grateful for her help and constant reassurance during the wedding planning process! Thank you so much Lyssa for everything you did for brooks and I!

From the initial planning stages to the day of the wedding -- and even cleanup after -- we knew that we could go to Lyssa with our questions and she'd be on top of it. Her expertise helped us ensure we were making the right decisions for us. On the day of she decorated our venue even better than what I imagined even bringing some of her own items to add to what we had. The entire night she was asking us what we needed. She was professional yet direct in helping us wrangle the bridal party. She was there before we even realized we needed her cleaning up broken glass or teaching us how to cut the cake. She was there until the very end helping us pack up and get the decor out. The icing on the cake was honestly she took to time to capture videos and pictures from the day (even some moments when the photographer and videographer were not around) to send to us a few days after. It was so sweet and personal!

From making sure everything was set up for the ceremony and making sure we both always had a drink or whatever else we possibly needed, to saving some of the passed appetizers for us to enjoy and putting together an incredible video for us after the wedding, Lyssa did it all and so much more. Whether you are looking for a wedding planner or just someone to help with the details day of, I highly recommend working with Lyssa and Modern Sage as she will run with whatever you ask her to do and will make sure you can be in the moment and not worrying about the details.

On the day of, she made my vision come to life with minimal direction: my decor was so, so lovely, and she definitely was able to nail my vision with her set-up! More-so, she was super supportive and helpful on the day of, and helped with everything from set-up to take-down to cake cutting and a dress bustling hiccup! She is friendly, personable, and perfectly organized. It was a pleasure working with Lyssa, and I would highly recommend her for all your wedding coordinating needs!
