I truly don’t think that I could recommend Tim from Modern Symphony more if I tried. Talk about going above and beyond for a couple! Our wedding day it POURED and Tim made all the adjustments without a single complaint and even held an umbrella over his equipment which left everyone cracking up at his commitment! I truly left the evening so ecstatic with our choice to have Tim and felt like I made a friend out of working with him. I was amazed and everyone loved the music that he played, he worked with us on our ideas and no idea was too big. He even assisted with things so not in his job scope and I just was amazed with his talent! If you have an opportunity to work with Tim from Modern Symphony, DO IT!

My husband and I really loved having Mark from Modern Symphony as our DJ for our wedding! First and foremost, he is so kind, responsive to emails and questions, and incredibly easy to work with. He played exactly the kind of music we wanted for our big day, and did an incredible job announcing everything. We have nothing but good things to say about him and highly recommend Mark and Modern Symphony!

WOW! What can I say about Tim and his team. They were absolutely amazing! They kept the party going all night. I felt very unprepared when meeting with Tim, but as soon as we sat down, he reassured us that we were in great hands. Tim knew exactly how to combine all the music genres we wanted and needed. Hands down best Dj!!!

My husband and I finally had our post-COVID wedding ceremony on 7/10/22 and Tim Lopez was our fantastic DJ! My husband’s family mostly stems from Mexico while my family stems from rural parts of the Northwest. Tim made the perfect playlist of traditional Mexican and American wedding songs that kept both of our families on the dance floor all night (no small feat)! Modern Symphony is great to work with – very professional and nice people. If you're looking for a wedding DJ I highly recommend Modern Symphony!

Tim and his team are professional, fun, and fantastic at their job. As a wedding coordinator, it is so important to have a good DJ / MC to help with the flow of the day. Modern Symphony does a fantastic job of that, and certainly knows how to get guests on the dance floor. I highly recommend them!!

Tim & Mark helped make our day PERFECT! They kept our reception moving forward and made sure that we did everything that we wanted & planned for. All of our guests continuously complimented them both. They also added in all of the requested from our guests. LOVE THEM!

DJ was supposed to show up to the reception dinner he never did (assuming because we paid the service in full the day prior). We had 2 phone calls and multiple email exchanges to get expectations clear and he did the complete opposite of what we wanted. I spent a year putting together our playlist along with choreographed dances all we needed him to do was to play the playlist in the order it was in our Spotify. He played songs out of the list as well as mixing the order throughout the entire night amid our reminders. My entrance to the ceremony was also wrongly timed. I feel so unhappy about the service that even at my honeymoon I stress about how something so straightforward went wrong. Music and dance was big part of our wedding as well as our culture and remembering it all going wrong really makes me extremely sad. This is the biggest regret I have from my wedding.

It was such a pleasure to work with Tim! From the very first phone call he was very communicative and easy to work with. We had an initial meeting with him at our venue so we could walk through what equipment was needed and what would be where. I didn’t realize how helpful this would be! Once it became apparent our June wedding was not going to happen the way we envisioned because of covid, we reached out to Tim thinking that now due to the extremely small size of our wedding we would no longer need a DJ. We could not have been more wrong! About a month before we realized that even though our wedding would be smaller a DJ is vital to make sure everything runs smoothly, not just the music. Tim was amazing and jumped right back in offering to not only DJ for the ceremony but also the small reception we were planning with our family. During our reception he managed to get everyone up and dancing even with a very wide age range. It certainly was a highlight of the night! He is truly passionate about what he does and cares for his clients. I cannot recommend him enough and am excited to work with him again next year for our reception!

We absolutely loved working with Tim leading up to our wedding and he was incredible on the day of, dealing with a complicated set of requests with ease. Even with a late addition of adding singers to both the ceremony and toasts, Tim accommodated our request without a second thought. He was also great with the music and dancing, incorporating a playlist of songs that our guests requested in their RSVPs and adding his picks to keep people entertained and on the dance floor.

Tim was amazing! My groom and I like different genres of music and he was able to perfectly blend together the music to fit us perfectly through out the night! We had guests coming up all night saying how much they loved the music and the dance floor was busy all night! I would 100% recommend Modern Symphony!

We cannot express how satisfied we were with Steve. During the planning process, he was very responsive and willing to help in any way. The wedding music went off without a hitch and the song selections definitely suited the crowd. Steve researched the genres we wanted and nailed it! He was flexible and able to get a song I hadn't planned on playing. We danced until the night ended. Special thanks to Steve and his partner. We HIGHLY recommend Modern Symphony. They know what they are doing; from DJ'ing to MC'ing!

Tim is Awesome! A DJ can totally make or break your wedding and he killed it! (In a great way!) He hosted the entire evening, making sure everyone knew what was going on. He stayed on a great schedule so nothing went too long or short. Best of all he totally read our crowd and the music they were enjoying. People couldn’t stop talking about how great of a DJ he is! My guests were on the dance floor all night long! I would highly recommend Modern Symphony if you are looking for a fun time!

Our experience with Modern Symphony was incredible from start to finish. Tim reached out to us multiple times to make sure things were the way we wanted them and was very responsive and easy to work with. Tim was so personable and always eager to make sure our experience was amazing - he truly went above and beyond for us. The music and lighting were on point and really set the overall mood for both the ceremony and reception, he did a great job doing exactly what we wanted, he listened to requests, he played the types of songs we wanted, and was just so very flexible. He was a great MC and even brought his own DJ booth that looked super cool and flowed with the reception decor.

It's hard to find the words to describe what a pleasure it is to work with Tim. This guy works HARD and takes so much pride in what he does. During the planning process, Tim was super responsive and listened to everything we wanted. He sent us a worksheet to fill out ahead of time that we spent a few weeks on and then ALWAYS was so sweet when we made updates up until the very last second. At the wedding, Tim really brought the energy. He was a great hype-man to introduce everyone in the bridal party, kept things moving along all throughout the night when it was time for specific dances and the bouquet toss, etc. He played all the country songs we wanted and some really great party songs throughout the night. The dance floor was ALWAYS over capacity and our guests said it was the funnest wedding they had ever been to. That is 100% because of Tim. There were 2 moments that really stood out to me that exemplify how much pride Tim has in what he does. 1 - right before the bridal party walkout, when our guests were settling in to the tables, I remembered that I wanted him to tell guests something special about the table decorations. Guests all kinda sitting around and there's not much going on yet, this could be cool to share. Not urgent or important at all, right? My brother goes and tells Tim, hey, the bride has a little request for you. I see Tim SPRINT over to me, like it's the most urgent thing in the world. I tell him about the decorations and that it'd be cool if he could share with people. He runs out, makes the announcement right away, and comes back to check that everything is all good. 2 - After we get to our seats for dinner, Tim races over (before the caterers even had a chance) and asks if he can grab us something to drink. He really just wanted to make sure that we were totally happy, and really enjoying ourselves. He's the best and will make sure your guests have a great time. <3

We used Modern Symphony for our outdoor wedding and they were phenomenal. I worked with Tim initially and he's great. So helpful and easy to talk with. For our wedding day we had Mark and he did an absolutely amazing job. We really felt like they were invested in our wedding day and they cared about all the little details of how the day went. I would 100% recommend them and if I ever need a DJ again I will be using them!

Tim and his team were absolutely amazing in every way. From day one he was quick with responses and kept in touch and was available to meet to look at the venue. I am very impressed with Tim and his staff. We have received so many complements on how great our DJ was for the wedding and reception. They went above and beyond to make our wedding special, and they succeeded.

I cannot say enough good things about my DJ. Tim Lopez of Modern Symphony was professional, easy to work with, flexible, hard-working, and overall, just amazing at his job. My coordinator (who I trusted) said she enjoyed working with him so I sought him out and was really glad that I did. The combination of my coordinator and Tim was perfect- they were flawless together. He was punctual-- always showed up impeccably dressed (and I hardly notice that kind of thing!), was the one to reach out to me to set up the walk-through, kept the dance floor packed, and above all, pronounced my name correctly--which made my day! I off-handedly told him how to pronounce my name since everyone my whole life has said it incorrectly and he made it a point to say it correctly on my wedding day (which I didn't really expect since EVERYONE gets it wrong). During the reception, many people on the dance floor told me that my DJ was awesome so I had to spread the love. Hire Tim, he truly does a good job and can be trusted to make your day as smooth as possible!

I cannot describe how happy my husband and I are for making a decision to book Tim for our Santa Barbara wedding. First of all, he was a pleasure to deal with from the get go. He was extremely responsive, easygoing, professional and he actually genuinely loves what he does (which is a must in this industry)! He was getting so excited when I would send him our choice of music! And boy did he make the party happen! We had a huge wedding party full of people who were most excited to party and hear all of our favorite songs - and he did just that and more! Everyone, from young to old were up and dancing! This guy kept the party going. He knew how to get people on the dance floor, and the ln keep them there. He stayed on top of the timeline, was prompt and professional through the planning, and never stole the spotlight. Definite recommendation.

I cannot say enough great things about Tim. He was an incredible DJ and such a pleasure to work with. He played great music, which got everyone on the dance floor (including my parents who NEVER dance). And he was an amazing MC, not too intrusive or obnoxious but fun and charming! We received many compliments about him from family and friends. Even my husband's aunt, who is not prone to handing out compliments easily, gushed about Tim and how wonderful he was! Tim was so accommodating during the planning process and even recommended our photographer (who ended up being phenomenal). The best part of working with Tim, aside from everything else I just mentioned, is that he was so nice. I really appreciated all of his hard work! Not only did he play at our wedding, he also provided music for our after party which was a blast thanks to him. My husband and I are so grateful to have found Tim and we would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a fun, talented DJ!

Laptop Symphonies gave me support during our year of planning for the wedding. Tim did follow up calls to check in, remind me of things and stayed connected. I like how I was made to fill special and not just a client. I fill we received excellent service and our money's worth. He was organized, professional and still approachable. I will definitely recommend this company to friends and family. He went above and beyond to make sure our day was great!

We booked a Family DJ who we thought was going to be a perfect fit for our wedding but turns out he double booked and we found out a month before our special day ! So right away we looked all over and came across Laptop Symphony on WeddingWire. We read all his reviews and sat down to meet with him. He was well organized,answered all our questions, and gave us a terrific deal. When it came down to the day, Tim went beyond our expectations and made our day very special. He played all the music we asked for and made great announcements letting our guest know every highlight of our night. Tim with Laptop Symphony will forever be our life saving DJ!

When we were first planning our wedding, we were going to hire a band, until we met up with Tim. He was very professional, very coordinated, and very outgoing. Tim went above and beyond for our special day! We would definitely recommend him to our friends and family.

Awesome! Amazing! Flexible! Great Music! Responsive! The real deal! Tim isn't a cheesy wedding DJ - he's a fun, awesome DJ that does a great job at weddings. He was extremely responsive from the minute we hired him. He was early and just straight out amazing!!! We hired him for the night before welcome event and the day of wedding. He did a great job setting up lights, and making both events feel different. The welcome event was so much fun that he stayed an extra hour without us even asking because people were having such a blast! We had no idea we even went over an hour until we were back in our hotel room and we looked at the clock! The wedding rocked. He worked with our ceremony musician (live music) to make sure the sound was set-up right, he did an amazing job moving between our cocktail area and the dance hall. His wife and partner in the business Cynthia rocked. She's sweet and a great helper. She even helped out our coordinator set-up decorations, something I found out about only after the wedding. I can honestly say my husband and I fell in love with these two and want them at every party we throw! I feel so lucky to have found them - they made our lives so easy and even had recommendations for other vendors when we asked (bartenders, etc.). Not only would I recommend Laptop Symphony and Tim to everyone to hire, but we are definitely hiring them again for future parties!!!
