This was the 3rd dress appointment I had made. I'm a very indecisive person and had a hard time bringing my ideas together to find a perfect dress for me. Haley was SO incredibly kind and helpful and made the experience so fun! She is super creative and helps you visualize all of your custom requests without making it overwhelming. She has a great eye for detail and really helped me dial in on what I wanted. It was such a perfect day and I definitely found the perfect dress!!! I cannot say thank you or recommend Haley enough!

I live in Alaska and was having very little luck finding a gown that I liked. I was in Charleston for work meetings and decided to shop while I was here. I had an awful experience at a local bridal shop and almost gave up. In a last ditch effort to find a dress, I called Modern Trousseau and they were able to get me an appointment the next afternoon. Haley was fantastic! I am heavier than I'd like to be and petite. I thought I needed an A line to disguise my figure but Haley showed me that I can look pretty in any shape with the right fabric and fit. She was so creative and knowledgeable and we customized the perfect gown for me. I finally feel confident and excited to wear a wedding gown! I would recommend MT and Haley to any bride. You will have the best experience.

Absolutely would recommend this shop to any bride-to-be's!! Such an awesome variety of dresses and Camielle was an awesome help knowing which fabrics are best, especially getting married in Charleston in summer. My favorite part of the shop is that everything is completely customizable. I am very petite, clothes never fit properly, and I was dreading going wedding dress shopping because of it. I love that Modern Trosseau made me feel comfortable in my own skin even when my body doesn't fit a "normal size." I can't wait to wear my wedding dress!

Modern Trousseau is what every girl dreams about when she dreams about finding THAT dress. I worked with Brittani and she very patiently spent over 4 hours with me and my bridal party as we tried on so many variations of different dresses; they can customize any dress to your liking - you can pick a top from one and skirt from another - so much fun! The girls there are professional, knowledgeable and they listen to what you're saying even if you can't put into words what you picture in your mind. Months later, I am still getting so many compliments about my unique and one-of-a-kind dress. You will pay for the above-and-beyond services and quality of the dress, but it is a worthwhile investment to be treated like a queen and wearing your dream dress!

My dress was breathtaking! Elegant & sophisticated, but still easy to dance in at the reception. Modern Trousseau has an array of Unique and customizable dresses that fit any bride. Brittani Lace @ Modern Trousseau Charleston did a phenomenal job! She listens to the bride and helps keep the appointments focused. I absolutely loved working with her. Highly recommend!

The ladies at this salon were very accommodating, especially for out of town clients (we live in NC). The gowns were beautiful and I received so many compliments on the gown at the wedding. If you're looking for a professional, welcoming, and pretty salon, I highly recommend this salon.

Modern Trousseau was the only shop I visited while searching for my wedding dress! Lauren was so easy going, knowledgeable, and fun! I had my dress made in CT and a day before my SC wedding, I had to fix my bustle. I brought my dress in and their seamstress fixed in that day!! I'm forever grateful for their service and they made the dress of my dreams!

There are not enough words to explain how amazing Lauren and the staff at Modern Trousseau Charleston are. At my first appointment, I showed Lauren a picture of a dress I loved. Within 20 minutes she had me in a nearly identical dress. I️ ended up buying it that day. I️t was the first wedding dress I’d ever put on. She always made time for me even if it was a last second fitting. The whole staff knows SO much about lace and pays attention to every single detail. There is no other dress shop in Charleston worth going to!

I chose Modern Trousseau as my first and only bridal boutique. From my many window shopping experiences, I just knew that it was the one. And I was more than right! Lauren took such considerate time with me as I was not sure what style would be my perfect dress. I tried on I think about 15 to narrow down my style, and my perfect dress found me! After getting engaged, I knew I wanted to get my wedding gown from Modern Trousseau and found the perfect dress there. Lauren helped me find my dream dress. She was a pleasure to work with! She was very professional as she was accommodating to my needs when making appointments, offered great suggestions, and made the entire process seamless. My mother also had her dress custom made by Modern Trousseau. She envisioned a specific look and it was achieved. Both of our gowns were beautiful. My experience at Modern Trousseau was everything I had ever hoped for and more when finding my wedding dress! I drove all the way from Florida to try on the gown that I had found in a photo and just knew it would be my dress. Lauren helped me figure out the name of the gown I had described to her over the phone and I fell in love instantly when I came to try it on about a week later! My experience was AMAZING!! You get the entire salon all to yourself so it is very stress free. There are so many beautiful dresses to choose from. Lauren was wonderful to work with. Lauren is AMAZING! She was a joy to work with and made the entire wedding dress experience so easy! She was very patient and helpful while I tried on almost every dress in the store. The great thing about Modern Trousseau is that you can customize every dress. Lauren was very flexible with my schedule. My Mom lives in Maryland I am in Charleston. Sometimes it was hard to find a day/time that we were both available to come in. Lauren went above and beyond to fit our schedules. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Lauren and Modern Trousseau.

I am so thankful to have found my wedding dress at Modern Trousseau! The incredibly helpful staff, the beautiful gowns, and the ability to customize every detail of my dress made Modern Trousseau the perfect place to shop for such a special occasion. I only have wonderful things to say about my visits to the store and communications with the staff. The store itself is super cute, and the gowns are simply gorgeous. I had visited a handful of other places before Modern Trousseau but had yet to come across the dress I had been envisioning. At Modern Trousseau, I fell in love with two different dresses that matched my vision. The staff worked with me to design my absolute dream dress, combining my favorite features of each dress. The final product was more beautiful than I could have imagined. As one of my relatives said, “it was the perfect combination of lace, beading, and vintage.” While the staff had explained that minimal alterations would be needed due to the fitting upfront and the custom nature of the dress, I was truly blown away that, in fact, the dress needed almost no alterations. I will always treasure my memories of dress shopping with my mom and sister, and know that the staff at Modern Trousseau played a huge part in making the experience so special. Aside from marrying my husband, I can honestly say that my wedding dress was my favorite part of the entire day!

Lauren was an absolute joy to work with. She listened to my ideas, but has a wonderful sense of what dress looks best on varying body types. She was very flexible in holding my dress at her shop until hours before the wedding, and made sure that the stat alterations were PERFECT!! I visited multiple bridal shops in Charleston before finding my dress in Modern Trousseau. Lauren was great and made the whole experience fun and stress free. I really didn't have an idea about what I wanted specifically, so it helped that they offer such beautiful dresses but with not an overwhelmingly large inventory. I decided later to add the chapel veil and that was an easy process. Would recommend every bride come to Modern Trousseau to find THE dress!

Wonderful wedding dress shop in Downtown Charleston. I LOVED my wedding dress & the fact that each dress is made just for you! The designer even embroiders my initials/wedding date in blue when she was making my dress & gave me an original sketch of the dress. Staff is also AMAZING!

At first I loved my dress and the idea that it would be made just for me was amazing (they don't have sizes at Modern Trousseau but cut a pattern just for you based on about 40 measurements that they take the day you buy the dress). However, I was mismeasured by 2 inches all over my entire body and when I received my dress IT WAS HUGE. I had to send it back to be completely remade and they tried to charge me an extra $500 to do this (and the manager of their facility in Connecticut tried to convince my mom that maybe I was lying about losing too much weight before my wedding instead of my being mismeasured!!! the nerve since I didn't lose a single pound for my wedding!). When I received the dress a second time, it still had to go through $200 of alterations because it was still way too big. In the end, I really loved my dress but was just tired of dealing with the stress of making it perfect. No bride should have to go through that.

The dress selection was amazing. It was a great experience trying on dresses and I quickly found my dream dress. I could not have asked for a better experience or wedding dress!

This is one of the best wedding dress boutiques in Charleston. I had such a wonderful experience with the staff. I felt they really cared about making my wedding day the best day of my life. I was able to make custom changes to my dress before it was ordered. I didn't have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to see my dress after I ordered it. My dress was definitely a hit with my groom and guests. I absolutely loved my gown. Please visit this shop; I promise you will not be disappointed.

I visited five different dress shops in Charleston. There were so many beautiful dresses but I was set on lace and Modern Trousseau had the most beautiful lace dresses I have ever seen! Heather was amazing and I loved working with them to find my perfect dress!

I am not a southern bride -- I live in DC and am getting married in Indiana -- but I bought my dress through Modern Trousseau Charleston and could not be happier with the experience or with my gorgeous gown. I had come across Modern Trousseau in my first round of dress-shopping and was excited to discover a flagship in Charleston when my fiance and I were there for a weekend about 8 months before our wedding. I had a great appointment in the lovely store trying on dresses and left my measurements on file. After a little more dress-shopping I knew I wanted a Modern Trousseau dress, and the special perks of ordering through a flagship (price, plus "extras" like a sketch of the dress, and my monogram stitched in blue inside the dress) made the decision of where to place my order really easy. The logistics were a little complicated; I wanted a dress that didn't really exist yet (combination of a couple of different MT dresses), and I needed to order it over the phone, and have it sent to my parents' house rather than to where I currently live, but the Charleston store made everything go smoothly. Heather also helped me choose a veil, sight-unseen, by recommending a couple of veils to go with my dress, then putting them on mannequins and emailing me photos so I could see what they look like. Did I mention I am obsessed w my dress? The lace is gorgeous, the fit is close to perfect (I only need very minimal alterations; they take so many measurements that the gowns fit very well on arrival), and I love wearing a semi-custom dress combining my fave parts of a couple of other beautiful MT gowns. I very highly recommend Modern Trousseau Charleston, both for the excellent friendly service and the gorgeous dresses.
