Dyneisha and Dottie were a great hair and makeup team! I wore my hair natural and curly and they did a wonderful job walking me through my options that didn’t require blowing out my hair. They were great with communication and doing my entire bridal party in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

I worked with Modernly Beautiful for my wedding makeup. On a regular basis, I only wear eyeliner and mascara. So it was important to me to find someone who could make me look special while still looking like me. Modernly Beautiful asked for a lot of information about my desired look and worked with me during two trials to make sure I got exactly what I wanted (a soft glam look). On my wedding day, Modernly Beautiful did my hair and makeup and did my sister’s makeup. We both got so many compliments from our family and friends about how amazing we looked! Looking back at pictures from my wedding day, I can say with confidence that I have never looked better! Thank you for helping me feel special, pampered and beautiful on my wedding day!

Dyneisha was a dream to work with! The quality of her work is matched by her personality. I was pregnant when I did my makeup trial with one of my bridesmaids. She's professional, timely and kind. We had so much fun working with her that is was easy to select her for the big day. On the day she was early and everything came out perfect. I received many compliments on my makeup. I was so lucky to have Modernly Beautiful do hair and makeup at my wedding. From the first time I reached out to the check in email I received after the wedding, Dyneisha was always very responsive and easy to communicate with. They nailed my vision during the trial and made great suggestions without being pushy. (You too probably want the falsies). Day of the wedding Dyneisha and Evelyn went above and beyond. Keeping everyone calm, helping with double sided tape issues, making sure everyone left with the right shoes and flowers... etc. Did I mention they also did a great job on hair and makeup? I felt beautiful and confident! My wedding party had a mix of ages (including 3 and 7 yr old flower girls), skin tones, skin textures, hair types, and everyone looked amazing. I highly recommend Modernly Beautiful!

Finding a makeup artist was difficult since I had 9 picky bridesmaids but everyone loved Miss Dyneisha and her team! They were timely, professional, and friendly! She sent out client profiles in advance so that she could tailor the makeup to your skin!

If I could give her 10 stars I will. She was amazing to work with the entire process. Any question I had she was able to answer. I don't wear make up so finding someone who made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process was very important and she did just that. Her energy is amazing and she made me feel very comfortable and confident with the make up. My mom and bridesmaids loved her and her team. She was very timely, she was actually early to make sure set up would not run over and so that she would get me and my girls done on time which she did. It was an absolute pleasure having her as my make up artist. I definitely recommend her especially if you are like me and don't normally wear make up. She was my best vendor to work with hands down.

Dyneisha is truly an artist. I knew I was in good hands when she did my makeup for my engagement photos. I do not typically wear makeup and Dyneisha truly listened to my vision and brought it to life. When it came time for my wedding day makeup, she did it again and not just for me but for my bridesmaids also. Dyneisha cares about her clients and our makeup was flawless. Hands down Dyneisha is an excellent and professional make up artist that knows her craft. Lets start with inital consult and run through, she eased my mind and helped me figure out a look for me. For a person that doesn't wear make up I was a little scared I was going to have a clown face. Nope not at all with Dyneisha, she glammed me up and made me look and feel special for my wedding day. She gave me product suggestion and face care to do prior to wedding so that my face will take the makeup and I'll look my best the day of. I am still to this day taking care of my face as she suggested. The day of she immediate notice a difference and the make up was applied flawless. The day of Dyneisha and her assistance was amazing. They were like a tag team. :-) Two of my bridal party was late and they were able to get them together in a short period of time. They went above and beyond to ensure we all were together to walk out. She even made suggestions and jumped in to make sure I was comfortable and ready to walk out. I would definitely use her again for any future makeup needs. I highly recommend her you will not be disappointed. She knows what she is doing.

Getting married in the backyard in a small ceremony during COVID is hard. Dy gave me the glam experience I needed to feel like a pampered bride in less than ideal wedding circumstances. Everyone commented on how amazing my makeup was and I am so glad that I chose a professional makeup artist who took more than adequate safety precautions and paid such keen attention to detail and making sure I was happy. Disinfected makeup brushes and disposable lipstick were used, and Dy wore a mask and a face shield the entire time. Plus her energy was just the right warm and calming presence for my wedding day. Loved! I used Modernly Beautiful (owned by Dyneisha Herbert-Felder) for my hair and makeup for my Hindu wedding ceremony and my Catholic wedding ceremony (back to back days). Dyneisha handled everyone's makeup and her colleague did everyone's hair. They were such an incredible team - super fun and great with all the personalities in my bridal party. ;-) Dyneisha listened really well and executed both of my looks perfectly. The artist was absolutely amazing! She was punctual, professional and also knowledgeable, she answered our questions about skincare and recommended which products we should use. She’s very passionate about her work we were all different skin tones but our makeup was equally beautiful. She took her time and explained everything she was doing step by step, her prices are affordable and she traveled to the venue. Dy was the absolute greatest! We had a fantastic make up trial where she took all my ideas and refined them! She was so amazing. On the day of, she and her team made sure me and my 6 bridesmaids looked perfect. I had many different skin tones in my party and she knew how to work with all of them. She also ensured that we had a make up bad full of extra touch up materials for the whole night.

Dyneisha set up a hair and makeup team that handled pale Irish to dark skinned ladies (and every shade in between) with hair that ranged from loose waves to tight curls to dreadlocks without missing a beat. Everyone not only looked amazing, but felt amazing. Our hair and makeup lasted through laughs, tears, & dancing without us having to use my extensive touch-up kit. All I had to do was refresh my lip gloss. I cannot recommend her enough.

Amazing job by Modernly Beautiful!! My bridesmaids and I looked wonderful after they finished. They cater to every skin tone and will work with each person individually to get the look that they are looking for. They also do hair! Even though I went for a fairly simple style, I am a black woman with long natural hair which is harder to manage, but their hair stylist did a beautiful job and did exactly what I wanted her to!! Highly recommend Dyneisha to anyone who wants to look fabulous on their special day.

Dyneisha was a absolutely amazing! My make up was natural and made me "be me" on my wedding day. I did not break a sweat at all even with all the dancing that happened during the reception. Dyneisha was so great to work with leading up to my wedding, and on my actual wedding day. During my trial I was so busy working and trying to multitask, but she was patient and did her job flawlessly. On my wedding day, she arrived early with her second makeup artist, setup an "in-hotel-studio" and got through all six of my bridesmaids and myself. I wanted to look a bit more natural and she executed flawlessly. She's pleasant, efficient, provided a touch-up kit and was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend! Oh my! Where do I began.? I was quite fortunate to locate Dyneisha on the Thumbtack website and thought I'd give her services a try. Can I tell you that that was one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding. Dyneisha's work is nothing short of AMAZING. She's very passionate about her work and is extremely good at what she does. All of my bridesmaids, my mom and grandmother will be getting pampered by her on my wedding day.

My wedding was the first time I ever had anyone do my makeup professionally so I was already nervous as it was getting it done. Dyneisha did such an excellent job! With everything going on that day I was already stressed out as it was, but she was very patient with me and helped me keep a cool head while getting ready. When starting my process, I had originally had a make up artist, and well, lets say that failed through. Thank god it did,because I probably would had never came across Ms. Dyneisha! Angel with brushes! I have to say, I'm a women with a busy schedule and on top of that, I was planning a wedding. Dyneisha, made me feel so comfortable during my trial. Dyneshia did my makeup for my wedding in August 2017. She also did my Mothers makeup. We were very pleased that she did a wonderful job. We looked amazing the it lasted the entire night. The small makeup kit she provides is very helpful; I used the lipstick for my outfit change and it went great with my outfit! My other makeup artist (for bridesmaids), hair stylist and some family mentioned to me that Dyneshia was not friendly when she initially came in but later softened up. I don't think it was about her being overly chatty but rather that she didn't smile and seemed upset. Dyneshia is very focused the day of because like all wedding vendors you have one chance to get it right! So I understand and appreciate that her concentration was on my mother and I. All in all she did do a great job and we were pleased with the quality of her work.

Dyneisha did an excellent job on the wedding makeup for me (the bride) and my Maid Of Honor. My MOH and I have different skin tones, eye color and hair color. I appreciate that Dyneisha took the time to craft really beautiful yet different looks for us. I don't really wear much makeup. I might put on foundation a dozen times a year. So, I appreciated that I still looked like me - glamorous me with eyes that popped and a beautiful wine lip- on my wedding day. Dyneisha is also incredibly professional and personable. She explained everything she was going to do and how certain techniques/makeup would look on camera. She solicited my preferences and spoke to me to get a feel for what I wanted. Getting my makeup done was a no stress wedding day task and absolutely worth the (very reasonable) cost.
