Modernly Events completely dropped the ball on my wedding day. They were hired to provide and install chairs for both my ceremony and reception, but due to their internal miscommun...
ication, lack of basic follow-through, and "traffic" the chairs didn’t arrive in time for the ceremony setup. I had to watch a huge part of my wedding vision fall apart in real time—all because they failed to confirm the final delivery details. Thank goodness our venue had chairs that we could use or we would have had to push back the start time significantly or guests would have had to stand.
To make matters worse, no one from their team even reached out after the fact. I had to be the one to follow up about what went wrong. When I first contacted them, Lauren, who was involved in the planning, didn’t even bother to apologize. Only after I told them how unacceptable the situation was did the owner finally respond with an apology—and even that was paired with a long-winded excuse about how their team 1) hit traffic and 2) missed an email and didn’t bother to confirm anything with my wedding coordinator until it was already too late.
As compensation, they offered me a laughable $300 refund—despite the fact that I paid over $2,000. Shocking considering the chairs missed half of the event.
Bottom line: If you're planning an event that actually matters—especially a wedding—do not trust Modernly Events. Their poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessionalism were inexcusable. Save yourself the stress and choose a vendor that actually takes your event seriously.
Side note: The chairs once they finally arrived, were beautiful.

eated such a gorgeous display for us and were so easy to work with!
My husband and I hired Modernly Events for our wedding and they did not disappoint! They truly executed our wedding day dream decor! Everything turned out exactly as we envisioned....
All of our guests loved the champagne drink wall. I have to say, my favorite was the decor in front of our sweetheart table. I would 10/10 recommend modernly events for any future events! They were great to work with!
Modernly Events helped make our wedding feel THAT much more special. Truly we did not know what we wanted for decor going into this process -- we felt like we needed a "theme" and/...
or a color palette to tie things together, but we didn't know where to start. We are fans of mid-century modern design, so when we found Modernly it was a match made in heaven! Because we needed help defining what we wanted, Aimee was willing to work with us on a "design guide" where she would suggest a color palette, design elements, and any customizations based on our desires. She was able to pull out our visions, and it was really the final touch we needed to make everything feel cohesive. So many of our guests commented on the colors feeling very "us", and on the "small details" that wouldn't have happened without her. We did need to follow up with her on a few occasions for a more timely response before we signed our contract, but after signing, things were really smooth, communication was really quick, and she was great to work with.
Modernly Events shocked and awed our wedding guests. We were blown away by how elevated the furniture rentals and the large signage the Modernly Events team provided. Our wedding w...
ould not have been as beautiful without their customized installations. It added a lot of character and charm to truly make the wedding space feel like "ours". They were professional, communicative and over-delivered in all aspects. We are so grateful for Modernly Events!

The space we got married in was large to fill and this piece really did the trick to make a statement.
I worked with Aimee to organize this rental and she was thorough from beginning to end. Prompt in response times and answering any questions we had. They were proactive in communicating delivery and pick up times and the whole process was seamless.
Would 200% use this company again for future events!

beautiful/ exactly what I wanted! She put together a proposal for me, and after a couple months of deciding based on budget, Aimee took the time to personally help me edit the proposal to take off some items but have exactly what we need to make our wedding perfect. I cannot thank her enough for caring to help make it happen for us! We rented a lounge furniture set with couches, chairs, side tables, and pillows for the garden area of our venue and it was so beautiful. It was a staple piece for photos, and the overall look of the style. Thank you Modernly for being so easy to work with, efficient with drop off and pick up, and reasonably priced!

The process was incredibly easy and she worked directly with our florist so they could attach the greenery, making everything a lot easier on us. The installation itself was perfect and exactly what we were going for. Not to mention it made for AMAZING photos. If you're thinking about disco balls, DO IT and go with Modernly.

to life. We originally booked some of their rentals for a date in October 2020, and the Modernly team seamlessly worked with us as we navigated a few pandemic-related postponements and venue changes. The pieces we rented were so unique, and Aimee was wonderful to work with from start to finish. We couldn't recommend Modernly more highly!

styles. She helped provide us with tables and white chiffon runners, as well as a luxurious velvet couch, chairs and coffee table for an amazing modern yet trendy lounge area for our guests. She was great with communication and recommendations based on our wedding size/guest count. She was flexible in working with us from start to finish as we came closer to the date and realized we didn’t need as many guest tables due to RSVPs. It was wonderful working with her to help execute the aesthetic and vibe we were looking for for our amazing wedding day.

to say, I was so thrilled to find them! Their prices are great. Aimee was so pleasant to work with - she made everything so easy. I would 100% recommend Modernly for your wedding!

the planning process she was the best design guide, most flexible and patient vision creator, and warm personality to work with. Aimee SHOWED UP with the amazing execution of what was in my brain and transformed the Whiskey Factory into my reception dream come true. Still getting compliments weeks later.
I found Modernly Events because I was sick of what most rental companies in Michigan have to offer - outdated and boring design + Pinterest basic-ness. Not into it. Very hard to find such a curated collection and hardworking team to back it up.
Thank you so much, Aimee & team!
