Mohonk Mountain House made the whole wedding planning process so easy! Christina was FANTASTIC and really understood what we wanted to get out of our micro-wedding. The views of Mohonk were magical, the service is pristine, and we had a lot of last minute changes and “whoopsies” that Christina handled so well. The day went seamless!

Mohonk is an incredibly beautiful venue and a dream location for a wedding. We were married in the garden overlooking the mountains, had our cocktail hour on the porch overlooking the lake, and our reception in the Pavilion (which is the ice skating rink in the winter and is tucked away in the woods!). It was magical! The wedding department did a great job coordinating the event and our wedding planner Jennie was so helpful in making our vision a reality. There were a few snafus as there are with any big event (some floral/lighting install issues and we were told just before our grand entrance to the reception that we wouldn't be allowed to do our confetti sendoff after I had ok'd it months before spending a lot of money on confetti cannons... it was a bummer because our party just ended without a big moment and I would have preferred to know ahead of time so I could plan an alternative -- full disclosure, I'm pretty organized and had a very specific vision, so it was difficult to relinquish control to other people without being able to personally oversee the setup-- I'm sure I'm the only one who noticed anything was amiss and all of our guests had a wonderful time), all in all we had a fantastic day. The catering department was also amazing and so accommodating for our vegan wedding -- we were more impressed with some of the dishes during our tasting than when they were translated to a large buffet, but our omnivore guests all told us the food was great and our vegan/vegetarian guests were extra psyched to be served more than a plate of grilled vegetables at a wedding! Staying at the mountain house is pretty pricey, so only a few of our guests stayed there (the married couple gets a free night with the wedding package, so that was definitely a perk!). Most of our guests made a long weekend out of it and stayed in nearby airbnbs and lodges. There is so much to do in the area, especially for hikers/outdoorsy types! I would highly recommend getting married at Mohonk, it's such a special and uniquely beautiful location that we will never forget!

Where do you even begin to rate this gorgeous venue? It somehow is even more charming and beautiful in person than how it looks in pictures. Our wedding at Mohonk was truly the wedding of our dreams. The wedding coordinator Aimee and the entire Mohonk staff went above and beyond. They took care of SO many details - setup, take down, coordinating with our vendors, disaster control, and many logistical things that we didn’t even have to think about! Aimee was also responsive and helpful with questions and recommendations throughout the entire wedding planning process. She is a fantastic resource! I cannot recommend having your wedding at Mohonk enough - just do it!

Our Mohonk wedding was a hit! Guests were blown away by the beautiful grounds, unique hotel, and the professional staff. Mohonk really took care of everything (food, set up, cake, etc.) which made planning much less stressful than it can be! We ended up running late at the church ceremony, so Mohonk seamlessly adjusted the timing to keep everything flowing throughout the rest of the day. Our coordinator was Jennie and she is truly amazing! She will bend over backwards to get things done and always has a cheerful personality.

I had been warned that Mohonk works on a different time schedule than NYC so when it took longer than I expected to get emails or phone calls back I was not worried. All in all my wedding day went off perfectly and the staff at Mohonk Mountain House exceeded my every expectation. All my praise goes to Aimee C. (my coordinator), she organized every detail and made sure I was stress free the entire time. She knew how to navigate the family dynamics (and strong personalities) and was efficient and effective in executing tasks. When an overbearing family member started fussing over a certain detail, she made sure my consult me privately and took care of my needs and wants for the big day. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get married in this magical romantic and elegant setting. It was a weekend I'll never forget! (p.s. the cocktails and food there are outstanding!! I've never tasted a wedding cake I liked until I tasted Mohonks! We had a lemon cake with vanilla custard and lavender on top!)

I don't even know where to start; everything was perfect from beginning to end. The venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour and outdoor reception pavilion are effortlessly gorgeous and our guests were mystified by how beautiful everything was. It is a lot of walking and moving from place to place but they are well equipped with golf carts and vans to bring folks where they need to be.

Stunning location! The views are breathtaking, and the hotel is beautiful and atmospheric- a Victorian castle! We love the history and natural surroundings, and it was a perfect fit for us and our wedding. We especially cannot speak highly enough of Aimee, our wedding coordinator, who was fantastic in the planning and especially at the rehearsal and day of the wedding- she was incredibly organized, professional, and insightful- even finding us the perfect wedding cake, and ensuring all of our plans were realized, down to the tiniest details! Removing one star for our one complaint... the main entrees. These were unfortunately a disappointment to us and our guests. They did not look or taste anything like the food we had at the tasting. Other than that, we and our guests had an amazing time.

We contacted Mohonk via phone and email to try and inquire as to pricing and availability for our wedding. After 2 phone calls and 2 emails, we have not heard anything from anyone in the Wedding Department at Mohonk for 4 weeks now. Why on earth would we trust them to put on our wedding if they can't return a phone call or respond to an email? I'm sure the wedding would look lovely, but if we're going to pay thousands of dollars to throw our wedding, you have to demonstrate that you're worth the trust and money. Mohonk failed in that regard. Buyer beware.

My new husband Michael and I were married at Mohonk just this past Sunday, August 20th. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was. We visit Mohonk for the first time and met with Christina, our wedding coordinator, on May 13th, and booked just 3 months out. Even though we had just over 3 months to plan, everything was seamless. We had the ceremony in the Mountain View Gardens, the cocktail hour on the Parlor Porch, and the reception was in the pavilion. Everything was gorgeous. We used Maggie Heinzel-Neel for our photographer (one of the ones recommended by Mohonk), Alex Mazur as our DJ (contacted through Mohonk because we had our reception outside) and had our hair and makeup done at the salon at Mohonk. Everyone was amazing. The food was wonderful as well. All of our guests were thrilled. Thank you, Mohonk, for such an incredible day!!

Mohonk was the most incredible venue for our June 2017 wedding. Aimee was so helpful -- she thought of every detail and answered all of our (many, many) questions -- we knew we were in very good hands throughout the entire process.

Cannot say enough! Aimee was incredible and made sure everything ran smoothly through the whole planning process and the day of the wedding. We had a ceremony in the garden, a cocktail hour on the porch and a reception in the pavilion. Aimee made sure all the moving parts went together and was super accommodating with all of our requests. The day was perfect all thanks to her!

Our wedding coordinator at Mohonk, Aimee, was a rockstar. She went above and beyond, even offering to drive offsite to pick up something for our wedding that vendor didn't deliver on time. The food was very good, and the only caveat about that was the cake wasn't decorated as I had expected, but the flavor was good, and my brother in law who doesn't normally like cake commented that he really liked the cake. Aimee was amazing at being very helpful and accessible through the whole process, which was great since we were from out of town. She was also very calm and collected when, due to our florist, things got started later than planned. I would definitely work with Aimee again if the opportunity ever arose. Also Mohonk Mountain House is just a very beautiful venue in general. We got married in the formal gardens in the fall and the flowers were unreal they were so pretty, and the view of the mountains in the background, plus the lake made for spectacular photos.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Mohonk Mountain House on Memorial Day weekend 2016 and we can’t gush about it enough. It was magical; the Mohonk staff went way above-and-beyond to make our wedding vision come true and everything blew my expectations when it came together.
After months of searching, we tried Mohonk at my husband’s suggestion and immediately fell in love. We worked with Mohonk wedding coordinator Aimee Ciarimboli and after many, many emails and calls over almost one year, I can say without reservations that she is a consummate professional, a problem-solver, creative thinker, and detailed-oriented, attentive, and a stalwart advocate for us. She makes things happen; when we wanted to decorate the railing around the rink, we brainstormed a solution. We worked together to find bands that would meet the sound restrictions and still have a hopping dance floor. She is responsive and a planner; her careful planning helped the day go smoothly. On the day of, she regularly checked in and took care of us and our family like her own. She effectively communicated and there were no surprises the day of. She accommodated our work schedule to meet us and be available by phone after hours. Being a long-time member of the weddings department, she knew the Mohonk inside out and had tips for us on every detail. Having spoken to a few wedding planners before coming to Mohonk, we could easily tell the difference. She takes ownership. And she is also a very cool and fun person and shared our joy on our special day. Weddings Department Manager Robert Leduc was also wonderful to work with.
We could not be more grateful to Aimee and the entire Mohonk staff for blowing away our expectations for a dream wedding weekend. I recommend Mohonk without reservation for a wedding. Mohonk was an absolute delight for our wedding. My husband and I wanted an intimate and joyful celebration, in a beautiful outdoor setting, with an equally appealing indoor option in case of bad weather. My fiancé and I both travel and rehearse a lot with our orchestra, and we were eager to avoid unnecessary stress, fuss, and loose ends. It would have been nice to have the time to be more creative and "do-it-yourself," but we simply didn't have the time or energy! We were hoping to have a unique and memorable low key event, but still beautiful and elegant. We liked that Mohonk could host our ceremony and reception, that their experienced in-house wedding coordinators could help us with all the details, and that our overseas guests could have the option to stay there or at another hotel in the area.
Christina was very helpful in answering all of our questions, and giving us plenty of advice. Her twenty years of experience shows in her calmness, and yet she still treats you with much patience and attention. She arranged one or two meetings which were thorough and comprehensive... But also a great chance to spend more time enjoying the place! The only thing is that, because of how much focus and dedication she gives to each event, it can be hard to reach her on short notice, as she might not be available to answer calls or emails immediately. "Mohonk resort time" is definitely a different world, but if it's something that appeals to you, you can relax and let the event flow naturally, and trust in the expertise of such a well-managed operation.
Other great benefits that added value: bridal suite, honeymoon suite, meals, quiet and beautiful spa (I was the only person getting my hair done at their professional salon at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, so it felt like a very private experience). I then did my own makeup in the bridal suite. Our ceremony in the gardens was better than we could have hoped, and really brought to life our wish to celebrate our faith in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Patience (www.falundafa.org), and the cocktail hour on their fabulous wide porch overlooking the lake was something that I wished could have continued for hours. Our chocolate wedding cake was probably the best i have ever had, and they did a beautiful job with decorating it. Finally, we loved having the honeymoon suite so that we could spend the following day hiking the grounds and enjoying the quiet time.
Our fantastic photographer Edward Dye made himself available for the whole day, so we had plenty of time and flexibility to take the most spectacular photos. That was a huge bonus of having the natural beauty of a place like Mohonk-- now we will have hundreds of photos to capture the magic of the weekend.

I've been to a number of events at Mohonk Mountain House. The service and food are always top notch every time, but what I'm really here to rave about is the location itself.
Set in the beautiful Hudson Valley, the house overlooks a lake and mountain range. Every season is beautiful, but the autumn is spectacular!
I'm also a bit of a historic house enthusiast. The woodwork and Victorian era wallpaper and light fixtures give the feeling of stepping back in time.
This is a great place to book several rooms the week of the wedding and just make it one big, long party.

I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Mohonk. The lake, the gardens, the stonework, the view of the valley, the decks, and the building itself are all incredible! It's gorgeous during every season. Guests are most certainly wowed when they step on the property. There are endless locations to take wedding photos! A magnificent backdrop! Weddings are well coordinated and the food is both visually appealing and delicious. With a spa on site as well as lodging, there's no reason for couples to step off site on their wedding day! I can't speak highly enough about this venue. Truly! -Nicole Wagner, Custom by Nicole Photography

As my wife and I were both born and raised in the area, we grew to cherish the scenery, history and ideals of the Hudson Valley region and its people. So when it came to deciding on a venue to hold our small and intimate wedding, we both immediately came to the same conclusion – Mohonk Mountain House. We had both previously visited Mohonk to hike, stay, eat, and be captivated by its immeasurable charm. Needless to say, we thought collectively we’d experienced most of the magic that makes Mohonk well, “Mohonk.” From our first meeting with Mohonk’s wedding coordinator, Aimee, we got the sense that we hadn’t even scratched the surface.
My wife will tell you that I’m an obsessive planner… page long checklists in preparation for vacations, packing for all four seasons to go to the beach for a week, factoring in worst-case scenarios and the like. So having someone else coordinate our wedding was going to be something new to me. Well, we couldn’t have found a better person than Aimee. She was extremely professional, polite, calm and understood what we wanted even when we didn’t know how to express it. The entire weekend played out like a dream and Mohonk certainly delivered more of its magic thanks to Aimee and her team (including group sales, flower shop, gift shop, dining staff, guest services, as well as countless others behind the scenes). No amount of planning that I could have done would’ve matched what they accomplished with such ease. Throughout our stay every guest approached us to let us know how amazing and memorable the event was and how unbelievably kind the staff at Mohonk treated them. Mohonk is more than a historic hotel perched atop the Shawangunk Ridge; it’s an unforgettable guest experience.
It’s been nearly 8 months since our winter wedding and our guests are still talking about it. When we think back on it, we wish we could do it all over again – and the best part is we wouldn’t change a thing. Simply stated, words can’t adequately express how grateful we are that Aimee and Mohonk were part of our special day.

Our wedding at Mohonk was just perfect! Aimee was our coordinator and she did an exceptional job! Once the wedding started, we did not have to worry about anything, everything was taken care of. The wedding went smooth, just like planned.
During planning process Aimee was very accommodating and executed everything we asked for. During the initial stage of the planning it took a bit to get a response back (they seem very busy over there) but once the wedding was getting closer, it took less time to get a response. And right before the wedding, Aimee was always available.
Every detail during the wedding was thought through. After the wedding, Mohonk gave us a memorable gift that will keep bringing sweet memories of our time at Mohonk. It was an excellent experience. We loved it and could not ask for a better venue!

We selected Mohonk Mountain House for our ceremony and reception. I wanted to have the convenience of holding both at the same venue, and Mohonk made it so easy! In addition, they provided the cake (many options to choose from and they will accommodate specific design requests). Aimee was our wedding planner and she was so helpful, accommodating and attentive. The food was really amazing - many of our guests from the wedding are still raving about the food! The service was also great, far exceeding our expectations. I felt like the staff really cared that we have a great wedding, and I like the fact that they don't schedule more than one wedding at a time. As part of our package, we stayed at Mohonk on our wedding night. The staff left a very sweet care package in our room which included a bottle of champagne, a card, some treats and a couple of gifts from the gift shop. The most amazing part about having our wedding at Mohonk is that we can visit/stay whenever we want and reminisce about our perfect wedding day!

Even though Mohonk is a pricey place to stay overnight ($600+ for two people all-inclusive), as a wedding venue it was actually quite reasonable. The site fee was only $650, while other venues we looked at asked for upwards of $9,000, and then they had the same per-head cost on top of that, and didn't come with nearly as many benefits as Mohonk. We chose the mid-level "Edwardian Splendor" pricing, which included passed hors d'oeuvres and trays of cheese and veggies during cocktail hour, open bar during cocktail hour (plus a couple additional glasses of wine during dinner), a three-course dinner, wedding cake with chocolate-covered strawberries and petit-fours, an overnight stay for the bride and groom, and a bridal suite to get ready the morning of the wedding.
We opted to add quite a few other fun things, including an extra room for the groomsmen to get ready, open bar (at-cost) during the entire dinner reception, and an hour-long bonfire after-party with s'mores and hot apple cider.
We really feel we got our money's worth, but you could also easily spend less by going with the less extravagant dinner and cocktail options and cutting out the extra features we opted for.
Beyond pricing, the venue was absolutely stellar on the day-of. Our wedding coordinator, Christina Latvatalo, did a totally amazing job. Everything stayed on schedule and went perfectly smoothly. She worked well with all our vendors and had suggesions for us every step of the way. Our one complaint is that communication leading up to the wedding was rather slow. Sometimes it would be two weeks before we heard back from an email. Phone calls and voice mails seemed to elicit a quicker response, though.
The other staff was also really sweet. Among their many gestures, they drove us up the mountain in a van so we could take wedding photos there, chauffered infirm guests to the ceremony space in a golf cart, and were so friendly and nice at every turn. They all seem to truly love their work, and it shows in the results.
Lastly, it must be noted how absolutely beautiful Mohonk's property is. A lot of our guests had never been there before, so it was a real treat for them to come. Some attendees went hiking before or after the wedding, and many of them commented on how stunning the venue was.
I could go on and on about how great the venue and its staff are. HIGHLY recommended!

My husband and I got married at the Mohonk Mountain House on August 26, 2012. This wedding venue is magical, like being in a dream. Starting with the mountain, cliffs, lake, garden, carriage ride, the veranda with rocking chairs, the FOOD; so much more, I could go on and on. But, the one person that deserves all the credit to make it all come together, calmed all my fears, made sure every request fulfilled and literally worked her way to my heart was Aimee Cirambolli! I still after two years email just to say hello. We had a beautiful garden wedding with the bridal party arriving in a horse and carriage, violin trio playing under the tree. Just exquisite and surreal. My guests were blown away with the Vista, the FOOD and the rooms. We had beautiful bridal suite with a cupola and a view on the lake and the other side the mountain. We go back to Mohonk every year for our anniversary. Oh, let me not forget the Spa. Best message ever! My guests still comment to this day, what a beautiful place and how much they enjoyed themselves. Thanks Aimee for making our dreams come true. You are the best! Ann and Louie

Not your typical hotel wedding. You are in very unique place surrounded by beautiful nature. We had a small wedding and all the services including flowers, wedding cake, hair and makeups were provided by the hotel. I lived out of the state and did not have time to go there ahead of The wedding. I arranged everything with Christine on the phone and via email. I emailed her the photos of what I wanted and she definitely delivered! Food and services were wonderful! I also had the best wedding photographer based their recommendation.

We wanted a small, destination wedding in the mountains. Something elegant, simple and fun for a number of age groups. Mohonk was perfect! Aimee was very easy to work with and did a really bang-up job and I am not being easy with my praise. Mohonk is in a beautiful setting, the food is fantastic and the activities (the spa is not to be missed!). We signed the contract immediately and were not disappointed. Aimee orchestrated the event perfectly and even had a Plan B in place if our outdoor service needed to be moved indoors - which it did with the last minute storm arriving right before the service. I could not have asked for a more stress free big day. Recommend it highly!

Mohonk mountain house is the most incredible place to get married.
It is not a wedding factory and you still get personalized wedding planner services.... they can help with everything! We took advantage of the services that they had (below) and they gave us recommendations for music and photographers - all who knew the venue. For example the photographer knew every great place to take pictures so it was less research on out part.
We used the florist on site who put together all of the bouquets and arrangements from flowers in the garden - can't get fresher than that! We actually saw her the day before in a golf cart gathering stuff. The food was absolutely incredible - everyone raved about it! The cake was amazing - even the top part a year later. :) I got my hair done at the salon and they were awesome. Didn't have a consultation either - just said what I wanted and they took care of it.... Even came in early before regular schedules to accommodate me.
We got married in the garden and the scenery was breathtaking. Had cocktails on the porch which was incredible. Because it is a historic site we couldn't have alcohol but we got mocktails and everyone enjoyed them. And of course the reception room is beautiful. The planners helped us think of everything - down to having water available for the ceremony in case it was a hot day (July).
We looked at a bunch of places and hands down Mohonk was a winner!
1. You really can't do any better than getting married in a castle.
2. Other locations in the Hudson valley might have been slightly cheaper (like $10 a person) but the location missed the mark. There is no way you can replicate the photos!
3. The rain location at Mohonk is a gorgeous windowed room whereas other places are closed ballrooms. We knew that even if the weather was bad it would be a beautiful day.
4. Being able to use on-site services (cake, flowers, hair) instead of coordinating all of the vendors is an easy way to reduce stress.
5. Because they are not a wedding factory, the planners really know who you are. They were very available for meeting and calls to make sure that everything was perfect.
6. There are lots of hotels with 30 minutes to give guests sleepover options at any price range.
7. It is an easy drive from CT, NY and PA. Only 90 minutes from Manhatttan makes it a great destination wedding without the hassle of flying.
8. Being able to stay over for your anniversary or special occasion is always nice. We had the opportunity to celebrate our babymoon there and hope to have more "excuses" to visit and remember the special day we had.
The only downside is that you can't count on guests not coming - some people might go out of their way to attend because it is Mohonk! :)

We had a wonderful wedding and reception here in 2009 for 140 guests. We had Mohonk do our flowers, cake and rehearsal dinner and also had our hair done at the salon. The staff were all extremely organized and professional, and made everything very easy. The food was great and the views from the reception room were fabulous. Even though we went with one of the least expensive packages, everyone thought they were attending an $80,000 wedding, which it was not. I've been to boring, cookie-cutter weddings in glorified conference rooms that cost four times what we paid. This is certainly a wonderful and unique location for a memorable wedding.

Mohonk Mountain House was a wonderful place to have a fall wedding. The planning process was streamlined by Aimee and the other wedding planners at Mohonk. They did a beautiful job on the cake which everyone enjoyed. Also, everyone raved about the food as well. By having a small wedding we were able to have the full range of the dinner menu. Taking pictures was a breeze as well as that they gave us a golf cart to get around. Also, when trying to coordinate details the wedding planners answered information in a timely manner and were very reassuring. The type of service I received was simply phenomenal and I highly recommend Mohonk Mountain House for a wedding.

Mohonk Mountain House was the most perfect wedding venue for us! My husband and I were so happy with how everything turned out on our wedding day. Our wedding planner Christina was fantastic. It was such a pleasure to work with her. Christina was very thorough in our planning and I found her demeanor very calming, which I think we can all agree is extremely important in planning your wedding and most importantly on the day itself! Anyone who has been to Mohonk Mountain House knows how breathtaking it is, and on the day of our wedding, I have to say it was truly magical. Not only was it stunning, the food was delicious. I honestly can't think of a better place to have celebrated our special day. And the best part is we have this incredible resort to visit time and again, to celebrate our anniversaries and visit as our family grows, always with the memory of our winter wonderland wedding, a day I'll cherish forever.

My husband and I were married at Mohonk in June 2014. Everything was incredible, and we really can't say enough good things about Aimee, our coordinator at Mohonk. Our ceremony was at their beautiful garden, cocktails were on a gorgeous balcony overlooking their lake, and the reception was in their East Dining Room, which was the indoor option for an evening wedding. We had about 78 people, which felt like a good amount for that room, including a dance floor. They were also super accommodating of our request for all vegan food. They really went above and beyond. We also recommend using the picnic house for a rehearsal dinner setting. they set up outdoor seating and had a firepit going, which was really great.

Aimmee and Christine were super to deal with right from the initial inquiry to the very last day on site. We live in Texas so we had to deal with the challenge of not being close to the site to plan in advance. Mohonk took care of every detail for us and hit the mark each time. I highly recommend them for your event.

My finance and I were engaged at Mohonk, so it was an easy choice for us. We love the beautiful scenery, the many outdoor activities, and the delicious food. We went with their small wedding package for 70 people and held our ceremony and reception there. Aimee, the wedding coordinator, was extremely helpful and her team was fantastic! We brought the centerpieces and all decorations, but her team set everything up perfectly. Aimee set up a dinner for us with our guests the night before and was incredibly flexible anytime anything changed. On Friday night, she saw me in the hallway and noticed that my leg was hurting (from all of the day's hiking) and she went and got me a bottle of Advil. From the big things, like recommending great vendors and setting up the perfect day, to the little things, Mohonk was absolutely perfect! Our photographer had never been there and couldn't stop talking about how amazing the scenery was for pictures, even in November! We were outside in the cold for a while because she didn't want to stop taking photos here! The 4 stars for value is because in spite of bringing so many people to stay for the wedding, the discount for rooms was only 15% if guests stayed for two or more nights. This included our room. It seems like bringing so many people and a good amount of money, they could be a little more generous with room rates, at least for the bride and groom.

How lucky are we!! I can't help but feel that our marriage is espicially blessed because we were married in such a magical place. A++ service, food and atmosphere.
Our wedding planner Aimee, was the best. We had some unique circumstances and she went above and beyond to make all of our guests comfortable.
We are planning our 10 year anniversary party already at Mohonk to refresh the magic!

From the planning stages to our wedding day, our experience with Mohonk was wonderful. Aimee, our wedding planner, guided us through the process with good humor and a keen eye for detail. Being at Mohonk is like stepping back in time - the beauty of the lake and mountains and the romantic old-fashioned buildings made it the perfect place for our elegant afternoon wedding last June. Each staff member was so welcoming and helpful to us and to our guests. The cocktail hour on the porch overlooking the lake was a highlight and the food at the reception was delicious - especially our chocolate cake, which our friends are still raving about. My groom (now husband!) and I would highly recommend Mohonk as a truly magical wedding venue.

We were married just after new years at Mohonk in front of the fireplace at the skating pavilion, it was magical. We had a small party of just family followed by lunch. The pavilion was a special location with the Christmas tree still up and the holiday sleigh for photos. We were blessed with just a dusting of snow which made the grounds leading up to the pavilion look like a winter wonderland. Our lunch was a buffet in their Main Dining Room where they had set aside a table in the corner so that we were able to enjoy spending tume with our family. The baker at Mohonk had us a delicious carrot cake for our wedding cake, we kept the topper and even a year later it was still delicious. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating and helped make our little party feel so welcome and our day special.

I can honestly say that my wedding was the best day of my life. Mohonk was the perfect place to have my reception with its beautiful and historic setting and incredibly friendly and helpful staff, it was smooth sailing from the get-go. I loved every person I worked with and felt that Mohonk really worked with me and my husband to help make our wedding exactly what we had envisioned. I can't reccomend Mohonk enough, they made my wedding an utterly perfect experience!

My wife's family has been going to Mohonk since her grandmother was a young woman. I became part of the tradition shortly after we started dating. We honestly couldn't have asked for a more meaningful location. The scenery at mohonk was a truly amazing backdrop to our wedding photos. The service, as always, was top notch and the food was excellent.
Aimee was our planner and she was phenomenal! We wanted a small, simple wedding in the gardens and Aimee made it so easy to arrange. We really didnt have to do much of anything, she took care of everything. She even had a contingency location set up when it started raining minutes before the ceremony!

Our wedding was as close to perfect as you could ever imagine. Other than our Pastor running slighlty late the wedding was perfect. Christina and Aimee had the staff, grounds and food service working tirelessly to make this our perfect day - and they did.
Pre-wedding planning was thorough. Wedding Day went off without a hitch. My wife and some of our guest have food allergies. Christina and Aimee coordinated with the chef to provide food througout the wedding to accomodate the my wife and guests with allergies.
Our Wedding Day at Mohonk was as perfect as one could imagine.

Except for selection of the table flowers, we left the setting, food and decor up to the wedding planers at Monhonk. The outcome was beyond what we expected. A day to remember.
Highly recommend to any couple looking for a unique setting with outstanding grounds and accommodations.

My family has been visiting Mohonk almost every summer for 40 years; it's like a second home to me, and it was really the first and only place we wanted to get married.
Mohonk is a glorious place, and we had a magical day with our small party of about 35 family and friends. Christina and Aimee are absolute pros, patient and incredibly competent with the millions of details that comprise a wedding. (I live in Germany now, so planning the wedding from thousands of miles away, having it be almost a "one-stop shop" in terms of all the arrangements, with Aimee connecting all the hundreds of dots for ceremony, cocktails and dinner, was also a huge gift to our time and sanity.)
We were blessed with great weather for our late June date and had an outdoor ceremony. I love the grounds and history of Mohonk, and wanted something that took full advantage of this, so we had our dinner and reception at the Picnic Lodge, rather than the usual arrangement in one of the dining rooms in the main house. For us, this was perfect.
Nearly every detail was flawless (in fact I'd take off only a tenth of a star, since so few things fell through the cracks - and even for a very small group like ours, there are always so many details, and the only problems were truly very tiny ones!) and we felt so supported and looked after.
The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, down to making sure we had a vegetarian main option we liked and chocolate sauce on the side of our cake :).
Mohonk has gotten a lot more upscale in our decades of visits, and I sometimes worry it has gone too far; but the benefits of this clearly showed in the truly deluxe food and the outstanding care and service we received. Add this to the unmatched physical beauty and storied history of Mohonk itself... if you love unique and beautiful places, I could not recommend it more highly!

We could not have asked for a more fairytale wedding venue (or day).
From the moment we signed on to work with Christina at Mohonk the experience was easy. They are true professionals.
Every detail was available to us at Mohonk: beautiful room with picture window over looking the lake (and the colors of the leaves turning reds and golds), blues skies would have allowed for an outdoor garden service but we thought the room had an appropriate elegance for our wedding vows; cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the veranda; outstanding food (including a vegan moroccan vegetable pouch prepared especially); they even provided the flowers from their own gardens (which are worth a visit on their own and gave us some wonderful backdrops for wedding pictures).
With the spa services available, my bridesmaids and I (and the mother of the bride) enjoyed the day before pampering ourselves, and the morning of the wedding the spa did my hair perfectly.
Many of our guest were able to stay at the resort and enjoyed a walk around the lake or hike up to the tower lookout for sunset just following our wedding.
The timing of the wedding was perfect and since we had friends that played the bagpipes to escort us out after our vows, it was like something out of Brigadoon.
Magical!

The most beautiful venue for a wedding. We had the ceremony in the garden ( we checked on the color theme in the garden and planned accordingly), the cocktail hour on the large outdoor deck and then a luncheon inside.
The food outstanding, the service warm, friendly, and professional, beautiful details.
My guests thought it was magical

Having my wedding at Mohonk Mountain House was magical. My husband and I love lakes and mountains and Mohonk has both. The perfect combination of elegance and rustic atmosphere that we were looking for. Mohonk is known as one of America's castles and it really is. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the Sea Bass. Christina was our coordinator and she was so patient and accommodating.
Our friends and family still talk in awe of how beautiful the wedding was and how majestic Mohonk is.

When my husband and I got engaged, we knew right away that The Mohonk Mountain House was where we wanted to get married. We had visited on a previous trip to NY, and fell in love with its whimsical nature, and all it had to offer. The Mohonk is beyond amazing: it’s like a fairytale come true right off the pages of some old story book! It is quite frankly an unbelievable location. Everyone who ventures there just can’t believe a place like this truly exists! However we figured it would be too expensive for us. But then we found out about the small wedding package and were head over heels that our dream might come true! I called up the weddings department, spoke with Amy Ciarimboli, and decided it was a done deal! We booked the venue and never looked back! Over the course of the year that we took to plan everything from 1,800 miles away; Aimee was amazing in helping to guide and plan every detail! She was friendly, on the ball, and more than accommodating! When our special day came: everything went off without a hitch! The Mohonk had it all set up for smooth sailing down to the last detail. It was truly our fairy tale come true! Between the people, the ambiance, the scenery, the activities, and the hotel it’s self: it’s was a complete success beyond my wildest dreams! I never imagined I’d be able to afford getting married in such luxurious style, but the Mohonk made sure that our special day was absolutely unforgettable. I will be forever thankful to Aimee, Christina, and the entire Mohonk staff and venue for making this ordinary girl’s wedding so very magical! My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic wedding. It was a day of beauty that we will never forget!!

I had my Wedding at Mohonk in October and all I can say is amazing! Of course Mohonk has the most amazing views in the Hudson Valley, but they Mohonk has so much more to offer. I have been married in the past and from my past experience the bigger your wedding is the more attention you get from the venue. My wedding at Mohonk consisted of only 50 guests and even tho I had a small wedding, my wedding coordinator made me feel like I was the only bride that mattered! I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!

My wedding could not have been at a better place. Mohonk is a long-loved location for my husband and I, and we never even considered another venue for our wedding. Of course, the grounds were spectacular and made for some incredible wedding pictures. The staff was accommodating and made everything we dreamed of happen! We feel like we got a lot for our money, especially for our small wedding. So recommended.

Mohonk Mountain House was perfect. We got married here on September 8th, 2012 and it was everything I have ever wanted. The wedding department is phenomenal. They are so organized and patient and helpful and throughout the whole process (even with a ton of weddings through the year) I felt special. They returned each and every phone call and email and I was taken care of from beginning to end. The day was spectacular. It rained, we had to have the ceremony indoors and the parlor was perfect. Plan B should look as good as plan A and it did. Both my husband and I used to go to Mohonk as children and that made it even more special. All of my guests are still talking about the food, the view from the parlor porch where we had our cocktail hour and Mohonk's staff. The food was incredible. I knew it was going to be good when we had a hard time picking the entrees at our tasting. Every single dish came out of the kitchen hot and it was delicious. We had 117 guests (even though we invited over 180) and the dining room was perfect. I recommend Mohonk to everyone! Although the room rates are a little steep the prices for weddings are rather reasonable.

The first time I visited Mohonk Mountain House, I was overwhelmed by it's beauty. We spent the whole day there and at one point I noticed a wedding taking place in the garden. I thought what an unbelievable place to have a wedding. I had only just started dating my now husband at that time. My sister looked at me and said, This is where you are going to marry him." Low and behold-almost a year to that day-I, too, walked down that garden to get married.
Aimee Ciarimboli from the weddings department is the MOST attentive, kind, professional and genuinely hard working person for her brides. She made sure everything and i mean EVERY detail and request was made. She left a lasting impression on me and my entire family. I am so grateful to her-she made all my dreams come true that day! All the staff is so accommodating and do not miss a beat. Chef Anthony is phenomenal! My guests are still talking about the food, the gardens, the beauty, Aimee and the over all experience.
I was married on August 26, 2012 and can not wait to return again! Ann and Louie

I have been going to Mohonk Mountain House with my mom since I was 4 years old. My birthday is October 16th so it was our special place to go every year. The leaves are always at their peak in mid-October and there is no place more beautiful than Mohonk. The gardens, the trails, the mountain house "castle", the lake... it is really an amazing place. It really is my favorite place, that's why ever since I was a little girl it was always my dream to get married at Mohonk. Well, amazingly that dream really did come true on October 1st (exactly one month ago today)! My husband Eddie actually proposed to me up on the fire tower May 17th 2009, and I was overjoyed. When I started to consider where to have our ceremony and reception my first thought was Mohonk of course! But I didn't know if we could afford it. I talked to Eddie about it and we went with both of our moms to meet with the wedding coordinator Christina and discuss the possibility of having our wedding there. She was so nice and gave us all the info to look over. This includes all the options for different packages which are actually way more reasonable than one would think for getting married and having your reception there. Maybe we could have saved a couple thousand going somewhere else where the food was half as good and the atmosphere uncomparable, but getting married at Mohonk was always my dream, so why would I go anywhere else!!! Of course we decided to book our wedding there and then the fun of planning began. When I had any questions or concerns, Christina was very helpful and she always made all the little ideas I had work out! Even the three tired 8 layer rainbow wedding cake was pulled off without any problem ( and believe me, I was a little worried) But it was AMAZING. All the food was perfect. The filet mignon was melt in your mouth delicious, and they even accomidated the vegetarians with slight changes to our menu choices. We allowed children to attend the wedding and they were all given special choices as well, and they have plenty of high chairs, booster seats and even strollers if needed. It actually rained on our wedding day, so even though we had hoped and planned for an outdoor wedding in the formal gardens, I was not in the least bit worried because the Parlor room where they do the indoor ceremony is beautiful. (And as a guest pointed out, probably a lot more comfortable for many of the older guests attending the ceremony.) We still got to have the cocktail hour out on the Parlor Porch and as the fog lifted off the lake we had a beautiful and mystical view of the tower where we got engaged :) We took pictures out side as well as in, our bagpiper played and even he said it was perfect and very remenicent of Ireland. The reception was wonderful, but it went by really fast! We did feel a bit rushed and towards then end were trying to cut the cake, toss the bouquet and garter, do the last dance and wrap up the party a bit sooner than we would have liked. My advice is if you want to party all night, you may have to have an after party somewhere. But since the bride and groom get to stay overnight and have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries brought to their room, we didn't want to go anywhere! (That is included in the package) We had an amazing and truly unforgettable day. It was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be and I am so happy and grateful that I actually had the wedding I always dreamed of. Like I said, if you have them...DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE!

The location is absolutely beautiful, and everyone had a wonderful time. The wedding coordinator was very well organized and very helpful. Three hours sounded sufficient for the reception, but we were tight on time and would have loved an extra hour for the reception. This was not an option, so be prepared to move through any planned events efficiently. It was expensive, but no more so than any other venue we considered in the region.
