Molly was one of my favorite parts of my wedding day! She was so on top of getting everyone together and keeping a schedule. There were also a few times I found myself getting stre...
ssed and she was there to calm me down and remind me what the day was really about. The photos she took were beautiful and really captured the moments I wanted. It literally took her a week to return the photos to me and they are exceptionally beautiful and raw! When she posted the sneak peek, I thought the picture was one we had posed for, but it wasn't. It showed raw moments of my husband and I celebrating our marriage. It means so much that she could capture that. I am sad I am no longer working with her, but I highly recommend her!
We loved the photos Molly took of our wedding. She and her assistant Mary were so pleasant to work with. We definitely recommend Molly Grosse Photography.

We really enjoyed working with Molly! She was very accommodating when trying to schedule meetings, our engagement session, etc. as we live out of town. Her pictures are beautiful!
I can not say enough good things about my wedding pictures! I hired Molly because my friend used her and her pictures were amazing. Molly did not disappoint and gave me so many ...
pics that I will cherish forever.

azing. I wouldn't suggest hiring anyone else.
Molly's prices are some of the best you'll find for the quality of the work, and that was a big motivation for booking. We opted not to do an engagement shoot, and booked Molly and...
a second shooter for eight hours of our wedding day. Prior to the day of the wedding, we had a "final meeting" where we talked through location options and desired photos. It seemed like Molly had never shot a wedding in the Downtown Cincinnati/OTR area (something I wish I had checked on prior to booking), and she didn't offer any feedback on our suggested locations, but I still walked away feeling like she had a good handle on what we were looking for. It did surprise me that she hadn't taken the time to research locations in that area herself, but maybe that's not standard practice for wedding photographers.
My biggest frustrations (and the reason for a lower review) were this: throughout my wedding day, where weather played a BIG factor in our photo locations, Molly seemed unwilling to be flexible or deviate from her plan. We added an indoor location at the last minute (because of inclement weather), a place Molly had never been but a beautiful building nonetheless, and Molly continued to ask me, the bride, where we should take pictures, or how I'd like everyone to stand, or what I wanted to do next, etc. Sure, I can understand her wanting to include me in the decision-making process, but being that she's the professional photographer in this situation, I would expect that she would be able to come up with answers to those questions. Again, perhaps I'm naive to standard practices for wedding photographers, but I would think that thinking quickly on your feet would be important qualities on a wedding day.
After I was driven nearly to the point of tears at her apparent annoyance with the situation, my husband and bridal party (thankfully) took the reins and started making decisions. So THEY were choosing the photo locations and layouts, because Molly seemed unwilling or unable. Again, once we arrived at the church and began taking photos, Molly seemed flustered by the timeline (which we had discussed and largely stuck to) and unwilling to be flexible.
And, in case there is a response of "were not informed of any problems until now," I did take time to pull Molly's second shooter aside as ask them to take the lead on making decisions a little more, and she was very responsive and helpful.
In addition to the day of frustrations, we were unfortunately less than impressed with our photos. We paid for ALL of the digital files (rather than a set number), and received fewer than 500 - which, to me, seems very low for a full day of wedding and reception shooting from two photographers. Our reception photos were full of nice candids that we treasure, but we walked away without much to choose from in the way of quality ceremony shots, family photos, photos of just my husband and I, and detail shots of things like invitation suite/decor, etc. It seemed like the lighting or layout of the church was an issue for her but - again - something she could have easily looked into before the day of the wedding (we would have been happy to set up a time for her to see the space, but she never asked).
Ultimately I would not recommend Molly Grosse Photography to friends or family, largely because of the negative day-of experience. I did find that her second shooter was responsive and attentive (and flexible), and I would hire her again.
The package we got from Molly was a pretty good value on paper, but we ended up with surprisingly few pictures and a lackluster experience.
Photos with Molly included an engagement...
session, and she seemed disappointed that we just wanted to have photos in her studio. We were in her studio for an hour but only received fifteen pictures, and most of them looked like bad candids. The photos had tons of glare, stray hairs, and blinking, and when I contacted Molly to ask if she retouched any photos or if there were more we could see, she said she'd already done all she could do. Granted, we didn't pay extra for the session, but they produced literally *no* photos we could share with family/friends or use to advertise our wedding. It was a pretty big letdown.
At the wedding, Molly and her assistant seemed strangely bored. We arranged photos for our families after the ceremony, and Molly approached us asking what we wanted her to do during the cocktail hour that followed. When we suggested that they circulate and just take candid photos, they seemed put-out by the suggestion. We talked about walking to a nearby fountain, but since it was over 90 degrees we scrapped the idea, and this seemed to completely deflate Molly. I guess she was really hoping to have that location, because without it there was no real backup plan, even basic candid photography.
At the reception dinner, Molly and her assistant took a handful of photos and told us to go ahead and cut the cake (before the first course was finished) so they could get a photo and be done. They rushed us in a strange way and left almost an hour earlier than the time we had scheduled. There were multiple members of our wedding party (which was relatively small) who weren't captured in any photos aside from the arranged family/friend pictures. Molly and her assistant were with us for over three hours and our package - which included *all* wedding photos - had fewer than eighty pictures. This number included all of the arranged family photos, so Molly and her assistant ended up taking just fifty pictures on their own in about 2.5 hours.
There are some good pictures in our collection, but there are huge gaps in the day without photos and - like with the engagement session - few that could reasonable be shared. It's a huge disappointment to get so few photos and ever fewer that are "good."
I'm just not sure what Molly expected from us. Were we supposed to draw a script of everything they should do for hours? She offered no input and seemed bothered by doing things that seem standard for wedding photography. I would only recommend Molly's studio if you have a plethora of ideas and only want someone to take orders and execute your wishes. If you want any input or creativity from this role, I'd look elsewhere.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Molly or her assistants (Mary and Rhonda). Molly has this way of taking incredible pictures and making everyone so comfortable and carefree...
. Her pictures turn out amazing. Our first meeting was invigorating, I felt like she totally understood what my husband and I wanted in our pictures. She has several packages to meet everyones budget and they are worth every penny! We LOVE Molly Grosse Photography and would recommend her to everyone.
Molly was pleasant to work with and we felt we got a very quality package from her. She was quick to respond , nice, and we like the photo's we've seen thus far :)
Molly has a wonderful talent of capturing the moment. She did a wonderful job on my wedding photos. I wouldn't have imagine going with anyone else!
Molly gave us a great deal on our photographs, which included both an engagement session and an amazing guestbook which she personally created by using our engagement photos. She ...
made our experience very personal and was always willing to step outside of the box with us.
She really worked with what I could afford and the pictures are gorgeous!

re your special moments over and over. I am really not a person that likes to get my picture taken but Molly made it fun and that brought out wonderful expressions in my photos, engagement and wedding. Be sure to check her out and her amazing ability to capture your moment.
Our wedding was a little different in that we wanted very artistic pictures and not the "posed" type of pictures. Molly took her artistic side and ran with it and we could not be ...
happier. Her pictures were absolutely beautiful. She was very professional but also seemed like she knew us at the same time which I think made the pictures even more spectacular.
