About this vendor
Molly Lichten is a Washington DC- and Los Angeles-based fine art, fashion, and wedding photographer for those wildly in love. She works hard to capture the beauty of your special moments in eye-catching, dreamy, and dynamic photographs that will stand the test of time. Her photographic style is a mix between documentary and lifestyle -- she adores capturing the little moments, candids, and spontaneous pictures of people and life. Though Molly has never been drawn to posed or highly-stlyled photos, she certainly can direct or curate a photo to create the best possible shot.
Molly's work has been featured in numerous blogs and magazines, including Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Elizabeth Anne Designs, Wedding Chicks, Bridal Musings, Burnett's Boards, Tidewater and Tulle, Southern California Bride, and United with Love.

Molly was the first wedding vendor we hired, and we could not have made a better choice. A friend recommended her and told us that she was incredibly professional and had a talent ...
for making their photos look stunning. Every word was absolutely true.
From the very beginning, Molly went above and beyond. For our engagement photos, she visited the location beforehand to scout out the best spots and think through how to make the most of the setting. She immediately sent us a first look at the photos afterward and took the time to experiment with different poses so we could figure out what looked best for us. She also helped us with recommendations for other vendors, including hair and makeup, our DJ, and our wedding planner.
Before the wedding, Molly sent us a detailed questionnaire to make sure she knew exactly who and what we wanted photographed. She followed up beforehand to confirm the important details and walked through the day with us so there were no surprises. She was organized, responsive, and made us feel completely confident that everything was covered.
And then she delivered on the wedding day.
Molly had a photographer from her team assigned to the grooms and bridesmaids, and the photos are absolutely incredible. They genuinely look like they could be out of a magazine. She captured some of the best photos we have ever had taken of ourselves, and somehow managed to capture both the big moments and all of the little moments that we otherwise would have missed. She even brought a drone to capture our first look, which gave us some truly incredible photos.
Molly was also fantastic with our guests. She somehow got our two-year-old niece to smile for photos, which felt like a miracle, and she and Becky were constantly making sure that my wife and I were where we needed to be and that we were getting the photos we wanted. They were everywhere throughout the day without ever making us feel like we were being pulled away from enjoying our wedding.
And they absolutely covered the dance floor all night. Looking through the photos, we have an incredible collection of moments that we didn't even realize were happening.
We truly cannot say enough great things about Molly. She is talented, professional, organized, incredibly easy to work with, and genuinely cares . These are the photos that we will have for the rest of our lives, and Molly was worth every single cent. We would recommend her to anyone getting married without hesitation.

edibly warm, organized, and attentive, keeping us at ease and confident we were in great hands that understood our vision (and willing to give direction when we often needed it).
Molly has a wonderful way of making the camera feel less like a spotlight and more like a friend in the room. Her constant reassurance and fun loving embrace of our ideas throughout the process managed to make us feel entirely comfortable being ourselves. It's clear that Molly genuinely loves capturing key moments for those she works with and it comes through in the care she takes to communicate effectively, direct unwieldy wedding guests with grace, and deliver beautiful photos.
Molly perfectly captured the big milestones alongside the quiet details that we can now enjoy through our guests eyes long after the big day. We are so grateful for her talent and her calming presence, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Thank you, Molly, for giving us the gift of being able to so vividly relive our favorite day. We especially appreciate the care you took to capture beautiful shots of our loved ones that we will cherish forever.

oth our wedding day and our engagement pictures perfectly. I seriously cannot count how many compliments we have gotten on Molly’s pictures. She was so fun to work with, even when we had to wake up at the crack of dawn for sunrise pictures at the Jefferson Memorial. We trusted her fully on our wedding day and are so happy with our entire gallery!
Molly was such a delight to work with and we are so thankful for all of the beautiful pictures she captured on our wedding day. I cannot recommend her enough!!

VID wedding planning experience with her calm, professional and flexible demeanor. She stuck with us as we changed our wedding date once, our engagement shoot 4 times and my bridal photo shoot 3 times! Through every little change she was always kind, timely and professional. Not to mention all our photos are absoluetly STUNNING! She and her husband Josh made us and our whole family feel so comfortable throughout our wedding day. They were able to handle some real curve balls in schedule without batting an eye. Thank you Molly and Josh for capturing such a special time in our lives during such a difficult time in the world!
We cannot recommend Molly Lichten Photography enough!

t, because I think the photos speak for themselves. But thinking back to my wedding, having her by my side made all the difference. She was SO on top of her game with our schedule/making sure we got the shots we wanted, and she made it look so easy! I am usually an anxious mess, but her presence was ultra calming and grounding. She supported all my crazy visions and took SO much care in making sure we were on the same page as we prepared for the wedding. Like, in terms of how detail oriented and comprehensive her preparation/questionnaires were, she blew our actual wedding planners out of the water. I felt 100x more confident knowing she was on my team, no matter how the weather would turn out or what crazy curve balls would be thrown. Most importantly, our decision to go with Molly led to a friendship I will forever cherish. Seriously, If Molly is available for your date, snatch her up. It will be the best decision you make! We Love you Molly!
Molly is absolutely fabulous!! She makes everything seem natural and comfortable and is the most genuine person. Her photos are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
Couldn't have been more happy ...
with how our engagement shoot and wedding photos turned out.
BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER EVER!
From the moment that I first met Molly back in 2016, I knew that I wanted to work with her for my wedding. She was fun, she was skilled, she had a great personality and you could t...
ell that she loves what she does, which I find to be very important. Fast forward to January 2019 and everything that I expected of Molly for our wedding, she surpassed. She was professional yet personable, she was fun yet direct, she handled everything that happened on our day with poise and grace. Our wedding celebration was a little bit unconventional but when I spoke with Molly about it months prior she was so understanding and super on board. She scheduled a call with us 4 weeks prior to our big day to discuss our timeline and what was most important to us and I loved that! She truly took the time to learn what would make our day be amazing for us. I could go on and on and on about Molly. What I loved most though was how she helped my husband be comfortable in front of the camera. He hates pictures, hates getting dressed up, hates posing (haha) but she helped him by giving him tips in posing to make it as natural and at ease as possible. Molly was so friendly and personable with our guests that they all came up to me afterwards saying how much they loved her (no joke!) and how fun she was! If I had to do it all over again, I would 10000% choose Molly again. She's one of my favorite photographers in the wedding business and you will never regret hiring her. We love you, Molly!! xoxo

w incredible she was as my engagement and wedding day photographer. Molly is very organized, super detail oriented, really nice, but also assertive at the same time, which was exactly what I wanted and needed in a photographer! I am definitely more of the “particular” type and had high expectations of what I wanted my wedding photos to look like. Molly exceeded those expectations by far!!! And she was such a joy to work with along the way! All of my bridesmaids, most of whom have been a bridesmaid multiple times before, could not stop raving about how Molly was the best wedding photographer they’ve ever worked with! Thank you Molly for the BEST wedding photos I could’ve ever hoped for!! You were one of the best decisions I made to have the wedding of my dreams!

nted, and very professional. Both our engagement shoot and wedding were on really cold days and she coached me through it all to make sure our pictures turned out perfect :) Before both sessions she made sure she spent time asking us questions about what we wanted out of our photos and also gave us ideas on what to think about. I've recommended her now to several friends who are getting married and they've all been so happy! Our pictures turned out amazing and we couldn't thank her enough for capturing the most beautiful memories for us.
