My husband and I got married in September of last year and we couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Molly's Cupcake. The cake tasting process was amazing, fun, and delicious. There are tons of flavors to try from. We ultimately went for a vanilla cake with peach puree filling and a chocolate cake with raspberry filling for our three tiered cake. Communicating with the coordinator was easy and efficient. Molly's Cupcake delivered the cake carefully to the venue in a timely manner. Thank you again!

My wife and I chose Molly's for our wedding cake for our wedding in August of 2024. We had purchased a birthday cake a year earlier for a birthday party and all of our guests raved about how good the cake was. Delicious and flavorful without being too sweet. Therefore we had no doubt that Molly's would be a great selection for the wedding cake. They were very easy to work with. We did a pre- wedding tasting and every step of the process was easy. The communication with Molly's was great and they delivered on everything they promised

We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding last year in August. Mollys was fantastic and not one cupcake was left behind. My guest loved the variety of flavors Molly's offers and it was an easy choice when we heard from our caterer that the best tasting cakes come from Molly's. Molly's will always be a go-to bakery for sweets and special events!

We ordered a wedding cake and an assortment of desserts (cupcakes and cookies) from Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding. We had a good experience with them. Our floral vendor added the flowers to the cake, in addition to the design done by Molly's. Molly's was also able to include gluten-free and dairy-free options for the non-cake desserts for our guests with dietary restrictions. Everything went smoothly on our wedding day, and the cake and desserts were quickly devoured by our guests, who said they were delicious!

We initially were not going to have a tiered cake for our wedding because we thought it would be too expensive, but we are so happy we came across the fact that Molly's Cupcakes also does cakes!! Yaritza made the experience so amazing as well. From our tasting (which was one of our favorite wedding activities!), we knew we were in great hands with her. She helped us understand the different combinations of flavors we could have and gave us a ton of guidance on the design and what we could do! Everyone at the wedding that tried the cake was raving about how good it was (especially the carrot cake layer!). We will definitely be returning to Molly's for a cupcake version of our cake soon. If you're on the fence about having a tiered cake, check them out! We're very glad we did.

Having Molly’s Cupcakes cater our wedding cake and desserts was the best decision that we made. We worked with Yaritza and she was so helpful and a delight to work with. We were on a short time crunch and she was able to accommodate with not much wiggle room. We got the 9inch-12inch two tiered carrot and red velvet - soooo delicious. We will be ordering a small cake for every anniversary it’s that good. All our guest always talk about how good it was, even the vegan cupcakes.

Molly's Cupcakes was very easy to work with and very reasonably priced for cake. When we did the initial tasting, the vanilla frosting tasted just like ice cream! We were so excited and knew we had to go with them. They were very flexible in adapting to our needs in terms of numbers and dietary restrictions. The only hitch we had with them was that they forgot to send over the gluten and dairy free products we had ordered for our guests with allergies. Luckily when we called them they were able to send them over quickly. Everyone loved all of the cake and alternative cupcakes. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered our wedding cake (one 3 tiered cake + one half sheet cake) from Molly's Cupcakes and couldn't be happier with the experience! The pricing for the cake was very fair and Yaritza was great to work with throughout the entire process. The cake was excellent and enjoyed by all the guests!

We loved having Molly’s Cupcakes for our wedding dessert! We ordered cupcakes for our guests and a small cutting cake for ourselves, and everything was beautiful, delicious, and affordable. We also appreciated that there were really tasty Vegan and gluten-free options, and that we could customize our cake/frosting combos. We had a three tier wedding cake as well as cupcakes at our wedding. It was all delicious and looked beautiful. Everything came on time and as expected. Communication throughout process was great.

We got married about a year ago and STILL talk about the red velvet cake with cookie dough frosting from Molly’s! Not only was the cake delicious, but working with the wedding coordinator, Yaritza, was very easy. Everything showed up on time day-of and we didn’t even have to worry about anything.

We purchased our wedding cupcakes from Molly’s last September. They’re the best bakery in Chicago! If you are looking for delicious, beautiful yet affordable desserts for your wedding then this is your spot! During our tasting the Molly’s team was super helpful in walking us through all the different options for cake, frosting and decorations. We had no idea what we wanted so the consultative experience was definitely a great addition. We decided to go with cupcakes because our reception venue was already providing desert but they can bake any cupcake flavor into a cake. The last thing I’ll say is they did a fantastic job delivering. It was a very warm and humid day yet the cupcakes arrived looking great. Overall 10/10.

As soon as we got engaged, I knew that I wanted Molly's to be a part of our special day. Not only are they my favorite cupcakes in Chicago, but they are also one of the very first dates my now husband and I went on. From the minute we reached out, Yaritza was na absolute dream to work with. Courteous and responsive, she answered all of my questions about quantities, flavors and dietary restrictions with ease and grace. Our tasting was wonderful and Yaritza asked great questions about our catering setup and menu, so that we made choices that paired will with our overall menu and so that the frosting wouldn't melt in the unrefrigerated ballroom. When I sent a last minute panicked email about a guest's nut allergy she responded almost immediately to assuage my anxiety. They did all of the setup, and the dessert table looked beautiful. We opted for mini-cupcakes because we wanted our wedding guests to be able to try multiple combinations of cake and frosting. I'm so happy that we went this route! Even now, several weeks after our wedding, guests are STILL complimenting us about how good the cupcakes were. They were such a hit that there was not a single cupcake left at the end of the night. If you're looking for a fun, delicious dessert choice I'd highly recommend going with Molly's!

WOW! Our cake was S T U N N I N G and all our guests raved about how delicious it was. Molly's was amazing to work with and really delivered on quality, good taste, and a fair price. We did the remote tasting option and they sent us a package of 6 full cupcakes with tons of frosting options to try at home. It was hard to choose!

Loved working with Yaritza and the team. Very knowledgeable and was honest about how many cupcakes we would need or not need based on the size of our wedding! Our guests loved the cake and cupcakes and we only had four mini cupcakes left over at the end of the night! Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding dessert spread than the one we received from Mollys!

We had Molly's Cupcakes for our wedding. We did a Crème Brulé cake with 4 different mini center-filled cupcakes displayed on a tower. Display looked beautiful and elegant. Guests loved the cupcakes, and they are obviously delicious. They provided small 4 pack to-go boxes, which was a nice touch for people to take home. I am taking away one star simply because we had several instances before the wedding where communication was an issue. It was the only vendor we had concerns about heading into the wedding day. Ultimately everything turned out great, as I mentioned. But better communication and responsiveness to emails/phone calls would have brought us more peace of mind.

Everything about Molly's was a dream! Yaritza was extremely kind and accommodating, the tasting was a fun and relaxed experience, and the final product was absolutely incredible! I have recommended Molly's for deserts for years, I will recommend them for any/all events as well now. The cupcakes from my bridal shower were absolutely perfect and our wedding cake was exactly what we imagined and a perfect taste of summer in cake form! 5 stars simply are not enough!!

The most delicious wedding cake EVER!!! We worked with Yaritza to arrange our wedding cake details and she was so amazing! The cake was a hit and so were the vegan cupcakes that we had for our vegan friends. Will definitely be thinking about this cake for years to come!!!

We have always said Molly’s made the best cupcakes in Chicago. It was an easy decision to have them make the cake and cupcakes for our wedding! The tasting made us even more excited for our big day! Everything tasted delicious, and the communication with Yaritza was amazing!

My wife and I enjoy sweets a lot and Molly’s has always been our go-to bakery for desserts since the beginning of our relationship. So it was a no-brainer to consider having Molly’s Cupcakes make our cake. With COVID, an in-person tasting was unavailable but Molly’s made it pretty easy with an at-home taste test. Our contact at Molly’s was Yaritza and she made everything easy. She was very quick with email responses and was able to expedite some things for us. The taste test was straightforward. We were given each of Molly’s cake flavors, frostings, and two center-filled cupcakes of our choice. The tasting is $25 but if you end up choosing Molly’s as your vendor; that $25 gets applied to your overall cost. That was a nice feature. For us, our only issue was we forgot what flavors we liked together but that’s more on us than anything. We did look at another vendor but after comparing costs, we chose Molly’s Cupcakes due to it being the better option. All-in-all, we chose to do a three tiered cake, a sheet cake, and 16 dozen mini cupcakes. With all of this plus delivery, the total came out to beat the other quote for just the cake. Our cake and the cupcakes were a hit at the wedding and we were so happy with everything! We would totally recommend anyone and everyone to consider and choose Molly’s for their wedding cake vendor/

My family and I have always LOVED Molly's cupcakes so we couldn't think of a better bakery to choose for our wedding day. We went through the location on Illinois St. in Streeterville and we are so happy with the service we received. I was never able to get in contact with a store manager by phone, so I went through email and the process went smoothly. We went with a small 2-tiered cake for my husband and I, and mini cupcakes for our guests. Our guests absolutely loved the variety we selected and they looked beautiful displayed on the tower we rented from Molly's!

I highly recommend choosing Molly's for your wedding cake! Working with Yaritza was easy and fun. I had so much flexibility in choosing my cake, and the pricing is very reasonable. I had so many people come up to me at the wedding and tell me that they had multiple pieces of cake!

Everything from the tasting to the wedding day was lovely! We had mini cupcakes, a vanilla Oreo mousse cake and chocolate covered strawberries all from Molly’s. Everything was delicious and looked super cute! I recommend them for your wedding or special event!

The process with Mollys was very smooth and easy. I love Molly’s cupcakes so I was very excited about choosing them for our wedding cake. We even had their cupcakes at our engagement party and they were delicious! The cake however, no so much. We ordered a basic white cake - vanilla with chocolate butter screen for the first tier, chocolate with vanilla buttercream for the second tier and carrot with brown butter buttercream for the top tier. The cake was very, very dry. The vanilla tasted like cornbread it was so dry and the other two flavors were not much better. This was a disappointment because we enjoyed our tasting so much. It wasn’t worth spending money on a three tier cake since no one wanted to eat it. Mollys is great for cupcakes, but on the larger scale my experience was not good.

We loved our tiered cake from Molly's Cupcakes! The process was smooth from tasting to delivery. We had a wonderful time with Yaritza at our tasting and appreciated her help in choosing what to do for our cake. Though I know their specialty is in cupcakes, the tiered cake was beautiful, and I love that they do a separate anniversary cake, rather than having to keep a cake in a freezer for a year. haha!

We are big fans of Molly's Cupcakes, so ordering our three-tiered wedding cake from there was a no brainer! Our cake looked and tasted amazing!!!

I used Molly's cupcakes for my vegan wedding cake and vegan cupcakes for guests. The design of the cupcakes were pretty. They delivered on time. However, some of my guests complained about the cupcakes being too sweet. If I could do it over, I would have them make it 3/4 as sweet.

We had the vegan vanilla and vegan chocolate cupcakes at our wedding. Our guests loved them. We worked with Yaritza for the ordering. Great communication.

I absolutely loved working with Molly’s! Yaritza was always super responsive and helpful—even going above and beyond to provide measurements of the mini cupcakes so I could make sure I bought trays the correct size to fit them. We did a small cutting cake with an assortment of mini cupcakes and they were a HUGE hit with our guests. I loved that everyone could pick flavors they wanted and Molly’s was able to accommodate our gluten free and vegan guests too. Our cake was beautiful and was exactly like the reference photo I gave to Molly’s. We had the delicious Cookie Monster cake and it was so fun to have a unique and fun flavor like cookie dough. So incredibly happy with my experience and would work with Molly’s again anytime!

We used Molly's cupcakes in Naperville IL for our wedding(s)! We had a small 15 person pandemic wedding last year and our full reception this year and had Molly's cupcakes make our cake both years! We loved our cake, we got white chocolate raspberry and red velvet tiers, they were so good. The decoration we requested was simple but it was executed perfectly. They decorated our cake and placed our topper on with care. We had nothing but positive encounters with the staff both years for booking our cake and having it delivered to our venue. The prices were very fair and everyone raved about how good the cake was! We're excited to be able to visit Molly's each year on our anniversary to have a white chocolate raspberry cupcake to remember our wedding day!

Molly's was great overall! The cake tasting was very fun months before and helped narrow down our flavors. They were accommodating with us changing from having some cupcakes to only having a wedding cake and fairly responsive with communication (answering our many questions). The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars was because Molly's was supposed to check in with us 45 days before our wedding but did not. Once I reached out a week-ish later myself, we were scrambling slightly to get everything finalized. Day-of however, there were no issues with delivery, and the cake tasted and looked amazing! Fairly affordable for what we were looking for.

Starting with the cake tasting process, we were able to easily schedule a pick up time to get cake, icing and filled cupcakes to sample. We did three other cake tastings in the city and Molly's blew all of them out of the water in terms of flavor and moisture in the cake itself aka not dry. We enjoyed a handful of the flavors but ended up deciding we wanted to do two mini-molly's centered filled cupcake flavors (creme brûlée and white chocolate raspberry) and a cutting cake for us (cake batter with white frosting and smooth edges). Wedding day we schedule a delivery window and they drop off was timely and smooth. The cupcakes were nicely placed in a cupcake box so nothing fell during transport and no icing was disturbed. The cake also came in a box and also had no issues during transport being messed up. Wedding night guests were telling us how amazing the cupcakes were and how they could not stop eating them! Here we are almost two weeks from the wedding and still hearing from family and friends asking us again who the baker was so they can order some for themselves. We would recommend Molly's to any couple and plan to be frequent visitors to the bakery for all our cupcake cravings and needs.

We had tried so many cakes from other vendors and they just didn’t hit the mark. I then walked into Molly’s Cupcakes and brought home a sampling of cupcakes and was blown away! They are now a favorite treat of our and my absolute favorite cupcakes. We then promptly scheduled a tasting which was super fun and delicious and hired them for our wedding cake. They were incredibly accommodating when we not only had to change our wedding date a whole year out due to Covid but when we lost our wedding venue in downtown Chicago and moved it out to the suburbs I was so grateful they were able to make it work. Our cake was beautiful and tasted amazing!

Everybody raved about our cupcakes for our wedding day from Molly’s cupcakes. We had a small cake for us to cut (which was delicious) but more importantly Molly’s setup and delivery of all of our cupcakes was timely and our guests had nothing but positive things to say. Leading up to our wedding, the communication was always timely and they provided all the necessary information to order the cupcakes and arrange for their delivery.

The staff at Molly’s was nothing but exceptional during from tasting to wedding day. Though we all experienced our challenges during the seven months we worked together (postponement, venue changes, personnel changes at Molly’s), we never had any doubt they would be able to deliver their delicious baked goods for our wedding. A wonderful tasting by Kristine, their former wedding day coordinator, gave us plenty to choose from but plenty of information needed to make the decisions between cake and cupcake, and Yaritza was so wonderful in advising us in downsizing when we had to shrink the size of the wedding party due to Covid restrictions. Our most sincere thanks for everything they accomplished during this process, and we can take comfort that every time we visit a Molly’s location, we can revisit our wedding day just a little.

Great experience! Due to Covid, we had to downsize our wedding to bridal party and family and change venues (big celebration still set for next year). Only a couple weeks out I suddenly realized I needed a cake - our new venue didn't provide this service and I hadn't thought about it! I reached out to Molly's on Clark and Yaritza made everything such a breeze. Molly's also has the BEST cupcakes in the city, so we did my favorite Ron Burgundy 6" cake on top with about 30-some center-filled cupcakes surrounding it below. They team delivered it within our time needs and also set up everything for us on a provided cupcake stand. Loved it all!

Molly’s had an amazing tasting and provided great service through our wedding process. We ordered a small cake and an array of 200 cupcakes for our wedding. We were satisfied and just ordered cupcakes from them for our son’s birthday!

After going with Molly's for our wedding last September, here are my 3 takeaways: 1) Smooth process 2) Delicious Cake 3) Flexible- This was perhaps what impressed me the most. Our wedding walk through was delayed, which did not provide us with an opportunity to provide Molly's with an exact set up time. Molly's response was "we can certainly adjust". Overall it was a great experience!

My husband and I were so happy with our wedding cake from Molly's! We were planning our Chicago wedding from NYC and the wedding cake was the least of our worries. From the initial cake tasting to the day of delivery, everything went so smoothly and it was just one more thing we didn't have to worry about! I'll definitely be buying cakes from Molly's for future celebrations!

A month before my wedding my MIL to be had to pull out of making our wedding cake due to health challenges. My dear friend suggested and made an appointment at Molly’s for the following week at the Clark St. store in Chicago. Upon arrival, the tasting was pre-set with their standard options and a few custom choices pre-arranged by Molly’s wedding coordinator and my friend. By the end of this INCREDIBLE tasting, we decided on a 4-layer creme brûlée cake with 10 additional creme brûlée cupcakes and 10 additional vanilla and brown butter cupcakes for a wedding with 40 attendees. Pricing was EXCEEDINGLY reasonable, they coordinated delivery directly with the venue, and my desserts were delivered without a hitch. What I also loved about their wedding came is the elegance and simplicity of their product, which allows it to either stand alone or add your own fresh flowers, berries, or other accoutrements. The cake and cupcakes were DELICIOUS and easily outshined Chicago’s classic Frango mint pie that was part of the meal service. The best complement I received on the cake was from the parents of another friend who have spent 35 years in ministry and officiated countless weddings. They said that it was the best wedding cake they had EVER had, and I TOTALLLY AGREE. Thank you Molly’s! I swear I’m only getting married once, but if I happen to do this again, I know where I’m getting the next cake! 😁🤩

We got married last September, and we are so happy we chose Molly's cupcakes for our wedding cake. It was absolutely delicious and our guests could not stop talking about the flavor of the cake. It was moist and perfect! They were beyond helpful from the start of the process. The tasting was obviously our favorite, all the options were neatly laid out and organized. They had combo flavors and suggestions set up but let us try whatever we wanted. Molly's is by far my favorite cupcake shop, so knew I wanted a cake from them. They even took care of the delivery and set up with my venue and had the proper COI forms for my venue so it was seamless. It was a simple look that I wanted and my florist added the flowers I wanted once the cake arrived to the wedding venue. It you want a delicious affordable cake, I would highly suggest using Molly's for your wedding!

Molly's created the perfect cake for our wedding! We didn't want to only do the classic multi-tier cake but instead a smaller cake with some quick grab desserts. Molly's worked with us to make our perfect dessert table come through with mini cup cakes and a two tier cake! We were able to have 4 flavors of delicious mini cupcakes and a unique cake including one tier of funfetti with cake batter frosting! There was not one piece of dessert left at the end of the night! It was also our favorite tasting experience due to the unique flavor combinations available!

Our planning process started when we found out that our dream wedding venue would be closing, forcing us to move up our wedding date by nine months. This essentially gave us only 90 days to plan our wedding. When we reached out to Molly’s Cupcakes event team, Kristine was quick to respond. She was so pleasant to work with along with being patient and knowledgeable in answering my many questions. Kristine accommodated my request to add a second tasting at a minimal cost so that my mom and sister could join me and my husband. At the tasting, all staff were prompt and excited to share their product - already being a fan of Molly’s Cupcakes, we weren’t suprised at how delicious everything was. We ultimately decided to go with the 9 inch, 5 layer Creme Brûlée cake, with a semi-naked finish in addition to 125 Creme Brûlée cupcakes. Additionally, Molly’s had vegan and flourless options available which we were able to make single purchases of so all our guests with dietary restrictions could enjoy.  Kristine kept in constant contact in the weeks leading up to our wedding. We connected her with our wedding venue coordinator and both parties assured us that we would not have to worry about anything - delivery by Molly’s (worth the small charge!) and cold storage provided by the venue was seamless.  We received so many compliments that evening and people kept coming back for seconds..and thirds! Our wedding cake was everything we had hoped for and more, perfectly moist, not overwhelmingly sweet, and beautifully made! Almost a year later we still have guests talking about these cupcakes and reminiscing about how delicious they were!  Working with Molly’s was one of the easiest decisions we made and we highly recommend them!

Molly's Cupcakes has been one of my favorite places since I moved to Chicago 10 years ago. It was only fitting to have it at my wedding.
