I struggled to write this review because my words cannot capture how perfect our experience with Ashley at Moments and Mountains Photography was, or how perfect the results are.

e met with Ashley several times prior to the wedding. Ashley, my wife and I all “clicked” from the moment we met over Facetime. While we were considering several very skilled photographers, we went with Moments and Mountains because we thought we’d have the most fun with Ashley. We were right.
We had our engagement session at Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, on a busy Friday evening. In the photos, it looks as if we had the entire bookstore to ourselves. I am an extremely awkward person who is uncomfortable with public displays of affection, and I tire quickly from being on camera. With Ashley as our photographer, we forgot we were on film and just had fun throughout.
After the engagement session, Ashley helped us plan, create a timeline for both a rainy day and sunny weather, and prepare for the big day. Additionally, Ashley found a “second shooter,” who was equally skilled in her photography craft (THANK YOU COURTNEY!)
On the wedding day, Ashley was the stalwart to our mental health, helped keep folks on time and organized, and captured the perfect moments. She made sure we had every special photo we asked for, went through our family formal list with a fine-toothed comb, and consistently checked in with how adventurous we were feeling re. locations for photos (it lessened throughout the evening). In addition to the staged photos, Ashley captured candid photos of our guests and the most important people in our lives in special moments, while dancing, while taking space in the garden, and while looking adoringly at their spouses.
While we got every photo we asked for, and so, so many more, Ashley prioritized our ability to spend quality time with our guests. We cannot recommend Ashley at Moments and Mountains enough. 10/10, next time we get married, we’ll call Ashley again!

of our wedding but in tears watching back the video! They captured the essence of the day so fully and beautifully. They also brought such great energy to the day and put family and friends at such ease when shooting. Communication was great and delivery was above and beyond expectations. Highly, highly recommend!
Expertly Captured Moments with a Personal Touch

meone who could make us feel at ease, especially since we were a bit camera-shy. Ashley and Rob from Moments and Mountains Photo and Film went above and beyond in making that happen. From the moment we met them, they made us feel comfortable, taking the lead when we didn’t quite know how to pose or what to do.
Ashley had a way of explaining things that turned what could have been awkward moments into something fun and natural. She would set up a shot, talk us through it, and promise it would look great—and she was absolutely right. Whether it was a large group shot with all my groomsmen or intimate moments with just the two of us, she captured everything in a way that felt true to who we are.
One of the best parts of the experience was how Ashley managed to capture the personalities of everyone involved. The group shots with my groomsmen stand out as a great memory, reflecting the energy and fun of the day perfectly. We’re beyond happy with the photos, and we’re already planning to have more sessions with them in the future.
Receiving a sneak peek the day after the wedding was a pleasant surprise, and the full collection arrived quickly, filled with images we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a photographer in the Tacoma or Olympia area who not only delivers incredible photos but also makes the entire process enjoyable, Moments and Mountains is the way to go. Ashley and Rob are not just talented—they’re the kind of people you want to be around on your big day.

mate wedding photography dream team. Ashley and Rob truly outdid themselves with both our engagement shoot and wedding day. They captured all the feels and fun of our big day. No request was too big or small, from posing a huge bridal party (20 people!!) to coaxing smiles out of the little ones (Yes even the 18-month-old flower girl!) - They aced it all! Their photos are nothing short of breathtaking. Each image feels authentic and natural, a testament to their keen eye for detail and genuine passion for their craft.
One of the standout qualities of Ashley and Rob is their easy-going personalities. They have an incredible ability to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, which is so important on such a significant day. Their friendly approach made the entire photography experience enjoyable and stress-free.
The day after the wedding I received a mini sneak peek collection that I was able to immediately share with family and friends- I’ve never seen any other bride receive photos so fast!!! Just a few short weeks later, I received the entire stunning collection of photos, something we will cherish forever. If you are looking for photographers who can deliver beautiful, candid, and heartfelt images while making the entire process pleasant and memorable, look no further than Moments and Mountains Photo & Film. Ashley and Rob are true professionals who will undoubtedly exceed your expectations. FIVE STARS!

s! Not only is she insanely talented, but she was so communicative through the process- we had two video calls with her where we discussed timeline and our vision for the day. We feel so lucky to have such beautiful photos from our wedding day and will treasure them forever!

rished family memory and I’m forever grateful for her. She was completely understanding and flexible and let us turn our wedding deposit into a family photo session! I am blown away at how beautifully she captured our family. She even got my grumpy 7 year old to smile! She is seriously the sweetest and so easy to work with.

shley moved around the groups seamlessly and unobtrusively and took many candid and some formal photos as well. She used a hand held camera and natural lighting which took advantage of the beautiful settings as background. As the mother of the bride I was very pleased with the results and would recommend her services for weddings, parties, etc.
