Vanessa was awesome! She captured our day beautifully! When we were deciding our vendors, I knew that we needed to have Vanessa capture our day and thankfully she had our date free. She has done my photos from senior pictures, engagement photos, and now our wedding day! The most flexible and easy going photographer and she really does want the day to be all about you. You will not regret choosing her as your photographer for your wedding day!

Awesome, awesome, awesome....no seriously Vanessa was great! From our first visit with her right to the day of the wedding she was such a pleasure to deal with. Her attitude was great each time we met, very personable but also very professional. Also she was very accommodating when it came scheduling our engagement photos and making her availability blend with ours. When it came to the wedding day it all went great, she did a wonderful job of getting everyone together for photos in a timely manner and did not deviate from the timeline we set up with her. Now when it comes to photos, they were amazing, the amount creativity she has when it comes to photography is really something. When we went through our photos we were extremely pleased with what she had captured. Needless to say we are so glad we chose her as our photographer.

Vanessa is the best photographer! We discussed everything we wanted beforaehand from getting ready with hair and makeup to the first look, which ended up perfect like straight out of a fairy tale. We also gave her a list of all the posed pictures we wanted with grandparents, godparents, college friends, etc. She never missed a beat. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer.

We are so happy we had Moments Captured by Vanessa as our photographer for our big day. She was awesome to work with and was able to schedule meetings that were worked with our crazy schedules. I left the photography up to my husband Dave because he always does his research on things like this and he didn't disappoint! Vanessa kept us on schedule, almost like a wedding planner! It is easy to see she is a pro with lots of experience. She traveled to Grand Rapids, MI for the day, starting at the salon all the way to the dances at the end of the night. Our experience with Vanessa was phenomenal! Working with her was a breeze especially in the in the planning stages. She was good at making sure all the bases were covered. The day of she made sure everything went as planned, and was there to lend a supportive hand, even outside of her expected duties as a photographer. The image process after the wedding was also a huge perk. She got our proofs to us the day we got back from Hawaii! Choosing Vanessa for our wedding photos was easily the best wedding planning decision we made! She made every detail leading up to the wedding so smooth, from answering every tiny question, to sitting down with both my husband and I and reviewing poses and schedules. Wow! just a fantastic work that I dont know yet how to describe. About her (Vanessa): lovely! About her studio: a gem in Ubly. Abour her work: amazing! We work with her for our engagement album that we also use as the signing album on the wedding day, and we work with her for 11 hours during our wedding day. She captured all the formals (or at least the family ones when we could put together the family) and all the moments that we wont be able to see except through her eyes! Cant wait to check our final wedding album!

Vanessa did an amazing job as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding photos. She sits down with you to go over what photos you want on your big day. She helps you set up a timeline so you are able to get all the photos you need in a timely matter. My husband, family, and I really cannot say enough good things about working with Vanessa. Aside from the outstanding quality of the photos she took for us, there were many reasons why I enjoyed working with Vanessa. First and foremost, she was very organized and professional, paying close attention to what my husband and I wanted. My husband and I put together a list of all the staged family and wedding party photos that we wanted taken at the wedding, and it ended up being much longer than either of us anticipated. Vanessa helped us organize our list though and developed a plan for how to get all of our staged pictures taken on the morning before our wedding. I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to complete everything that we’d hoped for, but Vanessa was so efficient on the day of the wedding, that we were able to take all of the (many) photos that we had asked for. Furthermore- she did such a good job! She has an excellent eye for detail and I was so impressed by how she politely organized and instructed our family members and wedding party through the staged photographs. When I got lipstick on my teeth, she noticed from fifteen feet away (not joking, no one else had seen it), helped me with my bustle when my bridesmaids and I were struggling, was very thoughtful in arranging poses that accommodated our handicapped family members, and quickly learned the names of the almost thirty people in our staged photos so that she could address them individually. I was blown away, and a number of people at the wedding specifically mentioned to me how impressed they were with Vanessa. For how much I enjoyed Vanessa on the day of the wedding, I appreciated her even more after receiving our photos very soon thereafter. Our wedding was truly one of the happiest days of my life, and I enjoy thinking about and reflecting on it so much. It was so special to have so many people from such separate aspects of our lives come together to meet, celebrate, and share stories. Vanessa’s pictures have helped me re-live so many special moments of my own, but have also given me glimpses of the introductions, conversations, and laughter between our guests that I missed on the day of the wedding. Her photographs have been such a treasure to my husband and I, and have brought so much joy to our friends and family as well. Being from a small town, it’s hard to make big decisions. Booking Moments Captured by Vanessa was one of the best “big” wedding decisions that I could have made. Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. Vanessa is so easy and fun to work with. Her work is stunning and I had a ridiculously hard time picking photos that I wanted in our album because I loved them all. She also does a great job making you feel comfortable in front of the lens, I don't like to be photographed but she made me feel stunning that day. She is also great with big groups if you have a large family, she got 50+ people to all look at the camera at once.

Service: My husband and I just got married October 4th! Vanessa was by our side the WHOLE time. To enlighten more on how she was part of our journey to marriage, I will list a few prime examples: she helped us set our itinerary times for that day (who better than the person who spends ALL day with you?), she took time out of her day to spend an unexpected moment with my parents who "dropped into her studio because they were worried about not standing right in the pictures" (that one makes me laugh, I was the first of my siblings to get married!), and she made adjustments as we went on the day of our wedding-still allowing us to accomplish all we wanted (oh it's raining now, lets do this instead...). So for that reason, I rate her service as excellence! Quality: What a genuine photographer who's passion for the camera is evident to all! When deciding which photographer to get, my soon to be sister in law who had Vanessa capture her wedding 5 years prior said "I remember telling her I wanted a certain picture in our field...and there she went, she was down laying on the ground in her dress pants and high heals trying to capture the picture I wanted!" The day after our wedding both are parents said, "you can tell she really knows what she's doing..she just moves around and does her thing!" Vanessa will give it her all to capture the moments YOU tell her are important to you-so for that, another excellence! Lastly, value: We have almost been married a month and I look at our pictures every day! Each time I smile so big my face hurts...and then I start to tear up realizing the precious moments that are forever captured thanks to Vanessa. My husband and I are so thankful we decided to make our photographer one of the top things on our budget we splurged on-we could have never put a price on the memories we will have for a lifetime! Working with Vanessa was a wonderful experience. She was so helpful in creating a timeline, worked with my ever-changing requests, was prompt, and professional. We love our pictures and I smile everytime I look at them!! She captured the day beautifully! She was very quick getting proofs back as well. Vanessa Traveled across the state to capture our wedding day. Although we lived far apart, it didnt impede the planning process. When I wasnt staying calm during the extreme heat and wedding party being silly, she kept calm and got it done :) I would recommend Vanessa to anyone!

I really appreciated Vanessa's solid organization skills, promptness, and willingness to customize a package that worked for us. She created a package that was fairly priced, and exactly what I wanted--which was time and printing rights. The part of her work that drew me in were all the candids, and the ability to capture moments that were happening. She has gone to school for photojournalism, and it really shows. I was able to get beautiful posed photos, and she really got the emotions that were happening. There were parts of the day that I wasn't around, that I was able to see through her shots; the guests arriving at church, guests arriving and mingling at the reception, people dancing, and the many people we talked to. I ended up with over 1200 photos, and I love every single one of them. She also delivered them SUPER quick. I've had friends waiting for their photos for months, and I got to see mine within a few weeks. Vanessa is very personable and really easy to work with. I really lucked out finding her on this site!

Vanessa was absolutely amazing during our big day! My husband is usually very "stiff" in pictures, but Vanessa made him feel very comfortable, and we got a ton of really amazing shots. It took me over a month to figure out which pictures needed to go into our wedding album (which Vanessa designed), mostly because each time I would get on to make sure I had all of the pictures that I wanted in it, I would get distracted looking at how gorgeous and amazing all of the other pictures are! She was also incredibly helpful with setting up a timeline for our wedding day--and she made sure we were where we needed to be at the right times. (My dad was very glad that we were able to eat dinner on time!) Plus, she came on the bus with us and got some great pictures of our bridal party! She was more than willing to work with me to create a package that was in our price range and would help to make sure we got pictures of every aspect of our day. She also did our engagement session, and was willing to come to my parents house to take pictures in their backyard! I absolutely recommend Vanessa to everyone who asks about wedding photographers-she is amazing and we definitely have lots of pictures to help us relive our wedding over and over and over again!

Having beautiful wedding pictures was one of the most important things for me since the pictures are forever. I was continuously looking online for a good photographer in our area when I stumbled across Moments Captured by Vanessa's website. Upon talking with her, I knew I had to book her. She was very friendly and always responded back to me quickly. On our wedding day she was a pleasure to work with. She seemed just like an attending friend at the wedding. I did not even notice pictures were being taken of us as we were upfront, saying our vows; (I was always scared of having a photographer who is up in our faces, clicking away, and blocking our guests view thanks to wedding shows). Another aspect that was important to me was that I did not want the generic pictures where smiles seem forced and everyone is stiffly posing.
