Monarch Garden and Floral Design

While Monarch is a very reputable florist in the area in hind sight I’m not sure I would have used them. The flowers on the wedding day turned out amazing and every thing was provided on time. However it took us a few more meetings and phone calls then I would have liked to get what we want. I think because our wedding was pretty small and relatively cheap we didn’t get the level of customer service that a larger event would have gotten. That being said they are also relatively expensive. Now I don’t want this review to come off to harsh because they really did provide us amazing flowers and handled every thing professionally. I just think if you are having a smaller event (well below a hundred people) your money might be better spent and you maybe better served with some one else. However if you are holding a large to very large event this florist can most definitely handle it, and for the right price can make all of your wildest floral dreams come true.

William was incredible to work with. I had no idea what I wanted when we had our first meeting, but he patiently worked with me to establish and build a theme and color palette that worked beautifully! We received so many compliments. William is truly gifted and we were so lucky to have worked with him. Thank you!!

Without William (lead florist/designer) & his team.. our wedding would not have been nearly as beautiful as it was. We booked Monarch right away when we knew we were getting married in the Petoskey area. We met with William about five times... and his instinct for design is a true gift. I provided just a few pictures, and he showed us incredible linen, candle holder, and floral options that tied the theme together so perfectly. Every meeting we had I knew that we were in good hands and that I didn't have to "babysit" Monarch to make sure they provided the look I was going for. Once payment was due, Monarch put together this amazing packet with every single flower & every decor piece we were including in the wedding day. It was SO professional, and so exciting to see everything laid out.. it got us even more excited for our day. I will recommend Monarch to any event in Northern Michigan and am so grateful that I was able to work with them for our big day.

We worked with Will from Monarch and we couldn't be more happy! Being local to the area we knew we just had to use him from the day I said yes and we were not disappointed. We used Monarch for our flowers and all centerpieces for our Wedding in Petoskey. The flowers were amazing, exactly what I was looking for. The centerpieces were very elegant and colorful!

We used Monarch and William for our daughter's wedding in July 2016. William and his team are excellent. They suggested ways to stay within budget and their design was beautiful. They also took great care with set up on a very hot and windy day. He even picked up our florals the next day, fixed them up and brought them to our brunch. One thing I didn't realize at the time is that William also does wedding design and has lots of rentals. We could have used him for more rentals and design expertise. I would recommend him for design as well as florals to make your brides vision come true.I've seen his work at many local venues and he is amazing.

We met with William twice throughout the planning process. Oddly enough we did not end up using him for linens or flowers - mainly because he offered great advice and referred us to other vendors because he knew price was a big concern for us and he referred us to others who were more suited for our specific wedding style / needs. He was honest, knowledgeable and very helpful in directing us to the right vendors and items for our wedding, would definitely recommend others to work with him in the future!

Monarch Garden & Floral does an amazing job. William is such a nice person and was great at making our vision a reality. They are truly artists with flowers. We were so impressed with the florals for our wedding!

After taking 2 steps into Monarch in Downtown Petoskey, you can tell William really knows what he's doing and has an amazing design eye. He worked very well within our budget and made changes to our plan as our wedding day came closer. He always had really awesome ideas, even a lot of ideas on how to maximize our budget.

William somehow knew exactly what I wanted my flowers to look like even though I really hadn't told him much. I gave him my colors and some pictures of bouquets and flowers that I liked, and somehow throughout multiple discussions with my mom while I was studying for my board exam, he created the most perfect vision for our wedding day. If you are like me and planned poorly by trying to cram multiple major events into a 3-4 month period (I know - what was I thinking), you will not need to worry about your wedding being 100% stunning. The flowers were SO perfect - pulling together my girls' dress color, the subtle theme throughout the reception tent and my accent colors so smoothly! Like other reviewers have stated, William will not push the overly expensive florals on you and try to sell you things over budget. He is very pragmatic and tells you what you would need to cut out to maintain price point - and gives you options to consider while doing it! In short, William and his team deserve the 5 star review - they totally nailed it.

William at Monarch does an amazing job with any event he services. He was our florist for our wedding day and the flowers and floral decor were stunning! William worked with me to fit within my budget which is very important, as wedding costs add up quickly. I couldn't be more pleased with how the florals turned out. My mom kept my bouquet and the flowers stayed gorgeous for 2 weeks after our wedding day!! I highly recommend Monarch Floral for any event you are planning. They will exceed your expectations!!

We used Monarch for our floral needs and are so happy we did! William & staff were very helpful and did not try to over-sell us, but help our vision come to life while staying in budget. I planned the wedding from out of state and they were able to take my inspiration pictures and make them turn out better than I hoped. I would recommend Monarch to anyone looking for a florist!

William totally understood the vision I had for my day and carried it out beautifully. I actually cried (happy tears!) when I saw our bouquets, and he solved our pergola conundrum by covering an arch with incredible greens and roses. They also have a huge basement of vases, candles and candleholders, etc., which saved me the added to-do and cost of buying a bunch of mercury glass stuff for centerpieces! A final wonderful touch is that, with your permission, they will come the morning after your wedding to pick up any flowers you don't want to keep and donate them to the area hospitals and nursing homes. I was glad people would be getting joy from them in that way.

Monarch Floral Design was an excellent vendor. I called them withing a week of my wedding to order all of our boutiners, corsages and flowers for our wedding cake! The flowers turned out beautiful and Judy was great to work with.

I used Monarch Garden and Floral for my recent Petoskey wedding and they were fantastic. We met William Santos on accident while wondering through the town and ended up chatting with him for 45 minutes about potential wedding centerpieces for our wedding. When we decided to get married in Petoskey, I knew I wanted to work with him and throughout the whole wedding planning process, he brought excellent suggestions to the table and was one of the few florists who truly wanted to work within our budget and not force us to spend a small fortune on the weddinng flowers. William was so patient with me as I changed my mind about three dozen times and never tried to steer me in one direction or another. On the wedding day the flowers arrived on time and all of the centerpieces were set up beatifully. My bouquet was so beautiful I almost cried and all of the corsages and boutenieres were made so beautifully, it was truly amazing. The centerpieces were amazing, I kept staring at them in disbelief that those were my wedding centerpieces, I wish I could attach some photos to review! William even called the next day to ask how everything went. If you are planning a wedding in Petoskey, Bay Harbor or Harbor Springs look at Monarch Garden and Floral.
