Rob & his team came highly recommended after they DJed the weddings of my best friend’s two younger sisters. That family LOVES a party so I knew if they had a great experience, that really said something — and I couldn’t be happier we booked them for our wedding as well. Rob was super communicative, funny, fun, and truly excellent at his job. Peter was our wedding day DJ and got rave reviews from our family and friends, especially given his ability to seamlessly blend our very widely varied music tastes — everything from Kesha to Steve Aoki, Chris Stapleton to Maná. Best of all, they facilitated the Mexican wedding tradition of El Toro Pinto which was a huge success. We have gotten so many messages from our friends that just said BEST. WEDDING. EVER and this is a testament to our DJ team keeping the dance floor packed and the party going!

I was so incredibly pleased and thrilled with Peter as our wedding dj. He kept the dance floor filled to the brim all night long. He played all my requests at the most perfect times. Rob mashed up our entrance song that was absolutely perfect, exactly what I was looking for. The whole team was amazing. I would recommend them to anyone. If you need a great DJ this is the company you want to use!! We used them for our wedding and they were great!! We communicated with Rob (owner) and he was helpful and organized! We had DJ Mike and was amazing! He mixed music together and kept the party going from the minute we started dancing to the end! He was easy to communicate and very punctual! He truly wants to make the day great and is flexible to do whatever you need!

We asked Rob to DJ our Polish-Indian wedding. A good dance party was at the top of our priority list and Rob delivered. Rob did so much work in curating hit songs from both cultures while also playing popular bangers that kept people dancing the whole night. DJ Rob was the BEST DJ for our wedding. He read the room/dance floor so it was constantly crowed to get our guests involved. He was able to mash songs up which was such a huge hit!! He worked with us to make a custom first dance song and dad/daughter dance. During speeches he even used sound effects to get the crowd to laugh at specific parts. He was able to announce the wedding party in an exciting manner. He is honestly the best DJ and would recommend him to anyone!!!

Rob is the absolute best! He is the best choice for DJing any event, hands down. He is helpful, works with us on special asks, also does custom mixes for first dances etc. He is great at reading the room and always gets the people going! We hired Monastero Entertainment for our wedding on 8/26/2022. All communication and planning was done through Rob and he was so patient and helpful during the entire process. On our wedding day we had Pete and Brian (MC) and they did an AMAZING job! I am American and my husband is from Venezuela so we were having a bilingual wedding and I was very nervous how to cater the music to everyone. But they absolutely crushed it! From the moment the dance floor opened up it was packed the entire night. They did such a good job mixing up the music. They even did a short tutorial on how to salsa and everyone loved it and it helped get everyone involved! The night was PERFECT!

It was so easy to work and plan my detail with Rob. Day of we had Pete as our dj. He is so professional and wonderful to work with. Our guests had a great time!

Monastero Entertainment was one of my favorite vendors to work with. The owner Rob told us their goal is to have the guests feet hurting from dancing the night away, and they delivered! I did not have time to make a playlist prior to my wedding. I emailed Rob my important songs (first dances etc.), song I hate, and the overall music my husband and I enjoy. We gave him some examples of bands and told them to run with it. I stayed on the dance floor the whole entire reception. Every time I thought I would leave to take a break another banger would come one. Mike's transitions were seamless and the beat mixing was perfectly timed. They did a great job of reading the room and adjusting the tone as needed. I had the best pop punk reception and our friends and family kept telling us our DJ killed it. They eagerly collaborated with us on all of our schemes and Rob was responsive and engaged throughout all of our planning. If you like to dance, this is your DJ!

We used Monastero Entertainment for our wedding ceremony and reception in June of 2022. Rob, our representative, helped us plan our day with ease. We planned our wedding from out of town and he made sure all our needs were met. Prior to the event, Rob fielded several phone calls from us and was always happy to help. We appreciated Rob’s expertise and online form to provide our DJ with all the necessary information. We were able to provide a playlist of must play, do not play, and play if you can. Unfortunately, the weather during our event was unfavorable and forced us to change the ceremony plans. Our DJ, Joe, adapted well and had everything ready for the rain location. The music for our ceremony was tasteful and exactly what we were looking for. During cocktail hour, Joe kept the music going and never made it a distraction to our guests. Joe introduced our wedding party and got our guests well excited. His energy could be felt and made our guests really enjoy their time. Joe was right on time with our special dances. We requested our special dance songs be edited for time and it was well done. Joe had microphones for the ceremony and reception ready to go with no interruption. During the reception, Joe expertly read the room and played the right music at the right time. He made sure to keep our guests engaged and enjoying themselves. At the request of a family member, a song from our “do not play” list was played. We were happy the family member enjoyed their song, but we wish we had been asked before playing the song. We booked the package which provided simple lighting, ceremony music, cocktail hour music, dinner music, and ample time for reception. Rob told us several times he would not nickel and dime us if we needed an extra half hour of music and kept his promise. We greatly enjoyed our services and highly recommend Rob’s team!

Rob did beyond an amazing job DJing our wedding. the whole process was smooth and better than I could imagine. We never left the dance floor all night and it was THE BEST DJing we've ever encountered. So happy we found him and that he was apart of our day.

Working with Rob for our wedding was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made. First, he is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive, and makes working with him so easy. He responded to all of my emails within a few hours, and was even okay with me texting a couple of times. My husband and I had to postpone our wedding twice due to COVID, and Rob was very flexible and easy-going through all the changes. Aside from being an easy person to work with, the music at our wedding was fantastic. The dance floor was packed the entire time- all the way until the last song. My husband and I put together a long playlist with many of our own picks, and Rob absolutely honored our requests and played all of our "must play" songs, while still incorporating his own style and mixing the music in a fun way. We had so many compliments from guests about our music and DJ and I couldn't be more thrilled with our decision to work with Rob. I just hope we get to work with him again sometime in the future!

Working with Monastero Entertainment was a dream! COVID-19 changed our plans, but Rob made the process smooth and easy. When it came time to host our event, he picked up right where we left off—going through all the special moments we wanted and, of course, the songs that went with them. Our DJ for the evening was Joe, and he knocked it out of the park. I had a friend ask for the playlist afterwards because the dancefloor was "FIRE." Joe played all our special songs and incorporated them seamlessly into the regular dance mix. We always said we wanted our wedding to be a big dance party, and Joe helped us achieve that.

Rob is absolutely AMAZING! He came at the recommendation of my venue. "I am sending you our list of preferred vendors, Rob is at the top of the list. That is for a reason. He is the best and the only call you have to make." It is the absolute TRUTH. He takes the time to get to know you and your party and mixes the music to match it. Prior to the actual day, his communication was prompt and focused. Made sure you, your venue, and him were all on the same schedule. At the wedding, there was non stop entertainment and dancing. The playlist was PERFECT! Yes we gave him a few must play and should play songs but he really picked the perfect mix based on requests and reading the crowd. I have been to numerous weddings and you seem to always fall into the "typical wedding songs" playlist. My husband who does not dance nor normally care about the music multiple times said "I love this song", "Great choice", or my favorite "This was perfect for this moment".

Rob is a fantastic DJ! We hired him for our October 2021 wedding, and he was so personable and energetic the entire night. We received many compliments on his mixing skills and song selection! Rob was extremely accommodating and helped provide extra sound equipment for our ceremony musicians. He also sang a song to my great aunt prior to the reception starting. We would give Rob 5+ stars if we could. We highly recommend hiring Rob and team for your wedding!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Rob is! From the first few emails we exchanged, I knew we made the right choice. Rob was extremely prompt with his responses and very flexible when I decided to change a few songs at the last minute. Then came the wedding day. WOW! All of my guests absolutely loved Rob. He kept people dancing the whole night and even sang twice (once for my grandparents and once for my husband's niece). I told Rob from the beginning I wanted our wedding to feel intimate and fun like a big backyard family party and he went above and beyond to achieve that. We honestly couldn't have picked a better DJ than Monastero Entertainment. Rob is great to work with throughout the entire process -- he's extremely prompt in his responses and thorough with all of his work. Even a couple weeks ahead of the big day, we felt comfortable with everything music-related for our wedding. And most importantly, our DJ on the day of -- Mike -- killed it! People were dancing literally the entire night...we and everyone else had a blast. Wow, I seriously do not have enough words to express my gratitude for Rob and his amazing talents as a DJ. He was one of the most helpful and thoughtful vendors I had at my wedding, he edited songs for my recessional to make them exactly how I wanted it, helped me nail down timelines, plan for things I didn't even think of, allowed me to sing bad karaoke, he even offered to get me drinks and carry things if I needed help. Even with all of that, he also incorporated all of the songs on my crazy playlists, made special announcements throughout the night honoring my parents and my friends, and played the best damn music I've ever heard at a wedding (not just my playlists haha). Rob was AMAZING to work with throughout our entire planning experience. We booked him for our wedding reception inDecember 2019. He made everything so easy, he responded to all my emails in record time and he always seemed so excited about whatever it was we were talking about. He mixed together my father daughter dance song within minutes and it could’ve been more perfect. I had a hard time putting my mind into making a playlist for the wedding so we gave Rob general guidelines and he absolutely ROCKED it. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. We got so many compliments from our guests. We had a mishap with our priest where he pronounced us husband and wife with the brides last name that turned into the joke of the entire wedding. We went to Rob with it before he introduced us into the reception and he made a joke of it for the guests. He collaborated with the best man to incorporate sound bites into his speech. He was able to accommodate every song request, even if it was for 30 seconds. He loved rolling with all of it and having the free reign to run with whatever we threw at him. The best part was I emailed him at 12:30 AM the day of the wedding (I couldn’t sleep) asking for the last song of the night to be Time of Our Lives from Dirty Dancing. He wrote me back and joked that we might have some guests trying to lift each other up. When the time came Rob turned it into a contest and we had groomsmen and guests attempting to lift each other up all over the dance floor. I think we all cried from laughing so hard. My only regret is we don’t have more of it on video. We could not have been more happy with everything!

Rob is one of the best people I have ever met in the industry. He is SO kind and so talented. I am a sales manager at a wedding venue and we recommend him to every one of my couples. We had a great experience working with Rob to plan music for our wedding and with Mike, who was our DJ for the evening. Rob was so helpful in getting all of our many music notes documented in the planning form ahead of the wedding which was so helpful to know that all our notes were captured and passed on to our DJ so that everything went according to plan for the day of. As for the music on the day, Mike absolutely killed it at the reception - I've never seen so many people still on the dancefloor at the very end of a wedding before. Nobody wanted to leave because the music was so good throughout the night. We had the most fun and would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

DJ Rob was just amazing. I had originally met him while bartending a wedding in Naperville and immediately knew if I was ever planning my own wedding, that he would be a must have. When I got engaged, I contacted him and found out his home base was 102 miles from our venue. But for a very nominal travel fee, this was no problem. He happily traveled out from Skokie to our mini destination weekend wedding in Utica near Starved Rock state park. The company's website makes planning a breeze and takes any questions or miscommunications at bay. It was easy to pick the perfect playlists for our reception and his library of songs is huge. we are in our 40s and had no problem finding the popular music from our jr high days up to the present hits, along with classics. We were all over the place with Motown, R &B, Pop, Rap, Country, 80s, 90s, Bluegrass, ect... and he mixed it all into a conducive flow that kept the crowd on their feet all night. He played every suggestion I made during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner and politely kept us on schedule. Rob was so fun and the night was a complete blast! A week later and people are still saying how much fun they had. Even the staff remarked it was the most fun wedding they had had there in a long time. I would highly reccomend Monastero Entertainment. You can find a cheaper wedding DJ but you will get what you pay for and if you are looking for the experience and personality to make or break your party, DJ Rob goes above and beyond. Couldn't be happier!

We met with Rob and Peter and within minutes we knew this company was perfect for what we were looking for. Through this company we contracted them to do our DJ services for ceremony/reception, up-lighting and photo-booth. The form you work on to create your list of must play/do not play songs is very easy to work with. We had some odd request from TV show songs and certain covers and they were able to play all of it. Our reception the entire time of dancing the floor was very lively and Peter played off the crowd great! We had lots of compliments on our DJ. We also loved the up-lighting and we were very happy we went with this, it truly did set a mood from the ceremony/dinner/reception. The photobooth with the company was great as well, we loved the sweet scrapbook that they put together at the end of the night. The files you get for the playlist and picture from the photo-booth were also a great addition to our memories. Thank you so much to Peter who really made our night a lot of fun for all guest!

Rob was awesome! He was referred to us by our photographer and we could not have been happier we chose him to DJ our wedding! He listened to our wishes for the music and setting and definitely over delivered. He engaged the crowd just enough and kept the dance floor packed all night. I found it hard to decide on a DJ since you have to make a decision based on other people’s reviews. That’s why I felt it was so important to leave this note about Monastero Entertainment. Joe was out DJ and he was absolutely fantastic!! For me, the DJ was so important because they make or break your party. Joe had guests on the dance floor from the minute we started until the last song. I even had guests tell me they wanted to dance more! His music choices were exactly aligned with what we wanted for our night and he played everything we asked. Joe communicated with me the entire night and kept us on time and on schedule. Prior to the wedding I communicated with Rob and kind and helpful. I would highly recommend Monastero Entertainment to anyone planning their wedding!

I cannot say enough good things about Rob Monastero. He is the owner and was our DJ for our service and reception. We looked at an amazing band and some DJ's. I chose Rob as our DJ because of the variety of music he could play and he did not take breaks. We were combining families and our kids were in their 20's and our friends in their 50's. Try making that combination happy. Rob and I met once and talked a few times on the phone and then the kids and I sent him songs and Rob and I talked about how I wanted him interacting in the service. We also got his open air photo booth and uplighting. It makes a fun night especially when you get the photobooth pictures after - very funny. The mixes Rob does are amazing and the music never stops. The kids (all 6 of them) said he was the best DJ and that is something from 20-25 year olds. The 50 year olds thought he was amazing too. All ages - he is the man. Book him!!!! Happy to answer any questions. You know husbands and money - well on this one my new husband said "that was the best money we spent. "

There was no question we were going to book Roberto after attending a wedding he DJed a year prior to our own. Not only is “Berto” a talented D.J., he is a great person. He did an excellent job of pacing the wedding, and had our guests on the dance floor the entire night. Great company with great people! Our guests loved John & he really kept things moving all night. My favorite moment was requesting “The Curly Shuffle” as John knew exactly what I was talking about. I still can't stop thinking about how perfect our wedding was and a big part of that was because of our awesome DJ! Rob from Monastero Entertainment was my favorite wedding vendor to work with! He was so easy to coordinate everything with and gave us AMAZING prices on photobooth and uplighting rentals. He even gave us an upgraded photobooth package at no extra cost that had a beautiful gold draping background which went perfectly with our black/white/gold theme. I highly recommend Monastero Entertainment and heard their DJ/audio services are also amazing.
