During this visit, she repeatedly made inappropriate comments about my body, referring to my chest as “Chiclets,” which I found completely unprofessional and body-shaming. She suggested I try a petticoat under my dress, and I made it clear I didn’t want to wear a bra. She insisted no bra was necessary. She claimed she would find the perfect skirt for my dress, and I trusted her alterations would be done with that skirt in mind. On August 5, I called to check the status of my dress and was told the skirt had been received. We scheduled another appointment for August 16 at 9 AM, and once again, she was unaware of our appointment, arriving late. During this fitting, she seemed confused about the skirt, argued that the dress couldn’t be too long, and accused me of losing weight—even though I had not. She then insisted I wear a bra and used words like “lazy” and “trashy” toward me, despite this being my wedding day. The alterations she made were catastrophic: She folded the hem at the bottom instead of properly hemming it, leaving it unable to lay correctly. She over-sewed the layers of my dress (it has five layers), making it stiff and preventing it from flowing. She attempted to adjust the sleeves, which are now ripping. She did not complete the bustle, even though it was listed in my $850 paid alterations. The result is a dress that is damaged, ill-fitting, and nowhere near the quality or professionalism I expected. This entire experience has caused me significant stress and disappointment so close to my wedding. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Aida to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and professional bridal alterations.

I ended up falling in love with a silhouette I hadn’t initially considered, and I’m so grateful Monica encouraged me to try something a little outside the box. I wasn't rushed at all during my appointment and it was an amazing experience. This was actually the second shop I tried on dresses at; the first shop was okay, but the consultant wasn't as helpful or intent on helping me find my dream dress. Then there’s Ida, the alterations expert, who worked magic on my dress! She went above and beyond to make sure it fit me flawlessly and that I felt comfortable and confident. My dress needed to be bustled and I didn't love the pins that Ida initially chose to bustle the dress. I expressed my concerns and Ida went out of her way to change it and give me exactly what I wanted. She was so accommodating and her turnaround time for alterations is commendable. This boutique is a MUST for anyone looking for a personalized, thoughtful dress-shopping experience. Highly recommend!

She suggested the style I was looking at would be perfect for the reception because it's super practical. I was torn between two styles, mainly because of the skirt size, and she recommended this amazing detachable part. I had no idea they made these "skirt extensions" (I forgot the actual name she told me, oops). It's like having two dresses in one! So, I had this beautiful gown going down the aisle with a lovely long trail and volume, and at the same time, I got my beautiful mermaid-style dress for the reception. She bustled the train, and it was just perfect. I'm very grateful for her help because I was quite torn between a few styles, and she was able to combine them into one perfect dress.
