Owned and operated by Monika Herbert, Monphotography is an experienced photography company based in Kansas City, KS. Professionally taking spectacular celebration photographs since 2007, Monika has an attentive eye for capturing moments that shine. She offers a range of packages and services, all of which can be tailored to suit clients’ one-of-a-kind wedding visions.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Monika has always had a passion for authenticity. Though originally attending University to study photography, she ended up dropping out to become an intern for a local wedding photographer. Since then, she hasn’t looked back and has spent over a decade honing her skills as a self-employed professional, providing couples with spectacular images.
Monika prides herself on her ability to capture the spontaneous and candid moments that reveal themselves throughout every couple’s special day. From the giddy intimacy of the pre-ceremony preparation to the exuberant fun of the reception dance floor, she strives to document every highlight. Whatever your shared romantic bond may look like, her photos will reflect it accurately and elegantly on your special day.
Monphotography offers three packages for clients to choose from, depending on their needs and budgetary requirements. Collection One offers six hours of coverage, an online gallery, and digital delivery of high-resolution images. Collection Two includes eight hours of coverage, a 10 x 10 album, and an engagement portrait session. Collection Three features all of the aforementioned items as well as full-day coverage, print credit, and a second photographer for the majority of the day. All packages can be customized to suit the wishes of each couple, and feature a range of portrait shoot options to choose from.

s hiring her, as she is definitely a fantastic photographer!
One issue was not capturing the key picture that had been spoken about on repeat and planned throughout of all bridal party and family in black with the bride in white. We'll never be able to capture again. She did explain this being on the planner to gather folks, but as the photographer, we'd have expected her to work with the planner. Additionally, we didn't receive many photos initially and had to go back to ask for all of them, and in doing so, then received the shots we'd hoped were being captured. I will say, and something that our families and even other vendors had noticed, was the amount of time spent with the men (hundreds of pictures) vs the gals (much less and proven so upon receiving the full spread. It's something to note when hiring, that you call out if it matters. Our men didn't want to be photographed for literal hours, meanwhile, the gals and mothers were wondering where the photographers were at different points.
Overall, when hiring, just go through your day making sure you're calling out where you want her and what shots you're wanting. We failed doing this, as we expected her to know, and that is partially on the planner, as we realize. Again she is great photographer, energetic and keeps things moving.

e of wedding pictures I wanted and she absolutely delivered. I wanted clean, crisp pictures. I didn't want super warm over filtered pictures. I wanted real. Our engagement session was perfection. Wedding day was perfection. We were not doing a first look so we had to squeeze a lot of pictures into a smaller time frame. We were also behind on schedule, but Monika and her second shooter-which was also phenomenal, were able to make it all happen. You're wedding photographer is not just that but also like a coordinator. She played a huge role in my day and making it go smoothly. I give her 10 stars..not five.

Having such a great experience during our engagement photos, Nick and I were very excited to work with Monika again on our wedding day. Monika arrived to the venue that morning to take several pictures of us getting ready. I was obsessed with our engagement pictures! I literally can't stop posting them because they are the best.
