We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Monserate Winery as a wedding venue. From the moment we toured the property, we were blown away by its stunning beauty. Every detail—from the lush foliage and blooming flowers to the elegant water features and charming architecture—reflected an incredible level of care and vision. What stood out to us was that Monserate isn’t just a winery that happens to host weddings—it’s a place designed with weddings at its core. We actually signed our contract in January 2024 before our specific venue, Villa de Fiore, was even completed. That’s how confident we were in the team and their commitment to excellence. When it was finally unveiled, it exceeded every expectation. The finished space was absolutely breathtaking—warm, inviting, and meticulously crafted. And just wait until you see the brides’ and grooms’ suites, which are a work of art alone. One of the greatest parts of choosing Monserate was working with their incredible team, especially Stephanie and Carissa. They were kind, responsive, and deeply invested in making our day perfect. Their communication was fast, detailed, and always thoughtful. We asked a million questions, and they answered every single one with patience and care. Their support meant everything to us. We were also amazed by the food. Let’s be honest—wedding food doesn’t have the best reputation. But Monserate shattered that stereotype. The menu options were plentiful and genuinely delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the meal, and we’re still dreaming about those bread rolls. They also handled dietary restrictions seamlessly. Choosing Monserate was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. If you’re considering venues, stop looking—this is the one. We just had our wedding at the Tuscan Estate, and it was PERFECTION! This venue truly blew us away from the day we saw it. It's unbelievably gorgeous and speaks for itself - we had multiple guests comment that it was the most beautiful venue they'd ever seen and it really looks like Italy. The staff and feel of this place is what truly sets it apart, though! Our venue coordinator Molly was absolutely INCREDIBLE from the day we booked Monserate up until the big day! She was so kind, helpful, communicative, and just amazing to work with - she was truly a friend to us and you could tell she genuinely cared about making this the most perfect day of our lives (and she succeeded!). She put so much effort into every detail and was an absolute JOY - we loved her so much! Molly made sure that we were so well taken care of during all our meetings and on the big day itself, and she assisted with multiple last minute items with ease (nothing we could have predicted - she helped with making sure we had heaters when it was unexpectedly cold out). Every staff member we interacted with was so incredible as well (bar/service staff, our sweet bridal assistant, etc.). This place and its team truly feels like a dream and we couldn't have asked for a more seamless day, which is a huge feat on wedding day! The food was wonderful, signature drinks were delicious, the ceremony was STUNNING, etc. - we genuinely got to enjoy and relax for the entire day which was such a privilege. I can't express enough how many guests we had saying that the day also felt extremely seamless for them too, which just shows how much Monserate cares and has things run so well. This place is such a gem and we feel so fortunate to have had the most perfect wedding day here. We plan to visit the winery for our anniversaries in the future! We would HIGHLY recommend Monserate to anyone looking for a beautiful Italian/European style winery wedding with incredible staff and support!

Venue searching is such a fun and exciting process but can come with pressure as you hope to choose the right venue that will help create what you envision for your wedding day. I had come across Monserate Winery and kept finding myself going back to their website. While it appeared to be a newer venue, it seemed as if we had come across a hidden gem, which I can now say for certain, could not have been more true! My husband and I visited approximately 6 venues that weekend that ranged from all different styles, pricing, and offerings. While we saw many venues that were beautiful and came with all the bells and whistles, venue selection became easy after visiting Monserate Winery. You step onto the property and feel as if you have been transported to little Italy. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself and there’s no amount of pictures that can do its beauty justice. While its beauty in itself can sell you on the venue, it had a factor that others didn’t - it had a “homey” feel to it. While the venue itself is breathtaking, the staff creates an atmosphere that no amount of architecture or decor can produce. They’ve created a familial atmosphere that is undeniable and I had yet to find at any other venue I had visited. We had the pleasure of working with our venue coordinator, Molly, from our venue visit to our wedding day, which was a perk within itself. With her help, the process was seemless, exciting, and fun with every step. My husband and I visited the venue for lunch a few months after securing our date and not only were we remembered by staff, but we were greeted with such warmth, it was as if we were a part of the family. On the wedding day, every member of the venue staff ensured the day was perfect from start to finish. Molly stopped by multiple times while I was getting ready to ensure there was nothing I needed, my husband and I were served our plates by the chef, and the staff offered to help plate my grandparent's food. I cannot count how many guests raved about the beauty of the venue saying it was the most beautiful venue they have seen and were amazed at the friendly nature of every single staff member on site. When the wedding day came, my husband and I both laughed as we both expressed we felt sad that we no longer had planned visits or scheduled meetings with Molly. While we no longer are planning a wedding, we have and will continue to frequent Monserate Winery to enjoy its beauty, and indulge in its delicious food and wines. One of the greatest benefits is being able to enjoy the perks of your venue even after your wedding day. My best advice - make a point to visit Monserate Winery because it will be love at first sight.

Monserate Winery is an unbelievable wedding venue. My Husband and I recently got married there and it blew away our expectations. Their staff is amazing as well. We had Carissa as our venue coordinator for about a year and anytime we had questions/concerns/changes she was always there to help however she could. We even had some last minute weather hiccups that they handled flawlessly. All of our guests raved about how gorgeous the venue was and how amazing the food & drinks were as well. We could talk all day about this venue and staff. It truly is a one of a kind place to get married. Truly could not have picked a better place and had a better venue coordinator/staff by our side.

My wife and I got married here last month and I cannot express how amazing it was. This venue is perfection upon perfection. We visited several times throughout the year and all of the flowers and plants were in perfect shape year-round. We got ready in the bridal and groom sweets, which are fully furnished and set up perfectly for weddings. The size of the tuscan estate was perfect for our wedding size too. We had the largest number of guests the venue has ever had, and they were able to take care of everything perfectly. Also our whole planning process with our venue coordinator, Kim, was smooth, and everything turned out exactly as we wanted! I can't recommend this venue enough. It truly is so special.

Such a hidden gem in San Diego. They are reasonably priced for such an elegant and professional venue. Their staff through the whole wedding day and all my vendors working with them went smooth. I have zero complaints about this place. I am so happy with them. My husband and I love going back to enjoy the winery and reminisce on such a perfect day.

The Tuscan Estate was the perfect place for our wedding. The outdoor space was breathtaking. It felt like you were in Italy. And the beautiful indoor space called the "barrel room" where we had our reception was incredible. The venue offered tables, chairs, linens, which saved us time and money. They also had an on-site coordinator who was incredibly helpful in managing the timeline and logistics. Plenty of parking for guests. Food was spectacular. This place feels like home. I can't wait to continue visiting at their new winery!! Overall, Monserate Winery provided a romantic and stress- free experience. My partner and I got married on 11.09.24 and we had an absolutely magical day! Our friends and family had a wonderful time and the beautiful venue, delicious food and amazing staff only added to the day! We booked the Villa De Fiore venue last year before it was even built and we are so happy that we took that chance! We had a gut feeling based on how the staff was during our tour and the early stages of our planning process! Special thanks to Jessy for being our venue coordinator! She was an incredible asset throughout our planning process! She's knowledgeable, personable, and responsive! She did an amazing job helping us put together our day and ensuring that things didn't fall through the cracks. We can gush all day about this venue but we believe its best if you see for yourself! We honestly didn't even look at other venues. I wasn't and am not someone that had this idea of a "dream" wedding, or had some idea of what my wedding should be like, and considering we had a very short engagement, I didn't really even have the time to fantasize about it. I am so thankful things worked out the way they did because this was the greatest decision I made regarding our wedding. My parents are members of Monserate so I've spent enough time coming here to enjoy the actual winery. When they first opened, and I heard they were creating a wedding venue onsite, I was fortunate enough to see some renderings and knew it was going to be something magical. Fast forward to our engagement, it was kind of a no-brainer that we would consider Monserate for our venue. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING has been considered when they built the Tuscan Estate venue. The layout, the landscaping, the bridal / groom suites - not a single detail had been overlooked. Absolutely stunning and the sound proofing. Holy cow the sound proofing behind those gates. I was initially skeptical of having our ceremony the same time that the restaurant and tasting room were still open. Would we be able to hear guests at the restaurant? Would they be able to hear us? NOTHING. I don't know how they did it, but you can't hear a thing on either side of that wall and iron gate. The linens: they have an amazing array of linen rentals to choose from if you want to upgrade, but the standard selection is also quite extensive. We chose eggplant tablecloths and metallic-y champagne napkins. They looked like we had brought it external rentals - absolutely stunning. The Food: Ok this is probably the best part. The food was absolutely INSANE. Wedding food is typically pretty bland - at least in my experience. We opted for buffet so guests had the option of eating and eating and eating. Monserate was incredibly accommodating when it came to my friends' hundreds of food allergies and restrictions and my parents irrational fear of running out of food. We had more than enough food and guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. We also opted to have the gelato cart and the late night pizza. I know, a lot. Must be an Italian thing, because that was our biggest fear, that guests wouldn't have enough to eat. Guests were wanting to-go boxes because of how good it was. I'm not joking. The Service: The staff that was present and working our wedding were incredible. I had a few special requests for bar staff (family drama / alcohol issues) and they were amazing. Everything went off without a single hitch and all the planning that went up to it was incredibly painless. Liz was our point of contact through the whole process and was a delight to work with. Since Monserate is a newer venue, there are a few kinks in terms of timeliness in response time that could use some improvement but it did not affect the day of at all. Preferred Vendors: Go with their preferred vendors if you can. I chose my wedding planner from their list and she was INSANELY talented and wonderful (will write a separate review just for her). I believe we also chose our florist and music from their list as well (or it came from my planner I don't remember). Either way, the vendors we chose made this entire wedding planning process an absolute cake-walk.

Venue: When we booked our date, Monserate was in the middle of construction on the Tuscan Estate where our wedding was held. Booking a venue was a big leap of faith considering the Tuscan Estate was essentially a jobsite. We did see early renders of the venue but the finished product blew us away. The ceremony site to the barrel room where the reception was held, and the bride/groom suites exceeded our expectations. Staff: I can’t say enough good about our experience with the staff at Monserate. Early on as Monserate was in construction, our original venue coordinator left the company. A change like this could be very stressful but Josh quickly assured us we’d be taken care of and he kept that promise. Jessy was assigned to be our venue coordinator soon after. When we booked the venue, the original venue coordinator offered to be our day-of coordinator for the wedding itself, which we later learned is a completely different job than venue coordinator. Upon learning this fact in our first meeting with Jessy, she offered to be our day-of coordinator. It’s hard to emphasize how big of a deal that was because Jessy was under no obligation to provide us that service. In fact, it was a lot of extra work and she did so without a second thought, which really says a lot about how much she cares about the couples she works with. In the weeks leading up to the ceremony Jessy was communicative and put our minds at ease several times when were worried about various details that come with planning a wedding. The day of the ceremony she was there early to help setup for the event and tear down when the wedding was over. Throughout the event she was everywhere all at once making sure things went smoothly. It’d be hard to outline all the little things she did to make the day perfect without breaking the word limit for this review. Many of our guests remarked on how hard she worked throughout the day and how friendly/helpful she was. We couldn’t be more grateful to her. Service: The service for the whole event was awesome. Staff and bartenders were very friendly. Wedding day was super busy so our interactions were pretty limited. I know the staff was awesome because many of our guests commented on it multiple times throughout the ceremony and after. This is in addition to our own experience throughout the day. Food/Drink: We did a food tasting a few months out and everything was pretty good. The tasting included wine samples and a good variety of food options. Most of our guests were traveling from out of state so it was important to us that our guests ate and drank well considering the energy and expense that comes with travel. The catering for the wedding was top notch and multiple guests have since commented on how good the food was both during the cocktail hour and dinner service. Our goal was to mitigate some of the stress of dealing with a million vendors for the wedding and food/drink was a big driver of that thought process. We chose open bar to accompany Monserate’s catering and it couldn’t have worked out better for us. Overall: Our wedding was amazing. Ultimately our event was perfect and it was in no small part due to Jessy. The venue looked incredible and the staff/service was excellent. What set the experience apart was Jessy’s dedication to helping make our day special when she really didn’t have to. Planning a wedding is a stressful endeavor no matter who you work with. We were lucky to have Jessy.

I was lucky enough to come across this venue last year while hunting for the perfect Tuscan style space in California. It was always my dream to have a destination wedding, but unfortunately was not able to. But man did Monserate really make us feel like we were in a different country! From the beauty of the space to the kindness of the staff, to the high quality of food and rentals they offered, everything here was better than I could have ever imagined. And all for such a reasonable price, given how expensive the wedding industry has become.

The Tuscan Estate was an absolute dream location for our wedding. After checking out many venues, no other options came remotely close to the stunning grounds of Monserate Winery. The team there was so helpful during the entire planning process. The bride and groom suites were incredible to get ready in the day of. We recently had our wedding at monserate winery in their new barrel room/Tuscany theme venue. It was PERFECT! My husband and I would not change anything. Kiki was great and so helpful! All of our guests said that night was so fun, and the venue was amazing. It all went smoothly, and I didn’t have any worry. We would recommend monserate winery for anyone’s wedding! The Venue worked with us every step of the way to make things on our wish list happen and they did so within budget - they even threw in a handful of gifts with no strings attached. They were 100% honest and trustworthy every step of the way. It’s family owned and you can tell; every staff member is warm and helpful. Our vendors were stunned and almost all of them had said this was their new favorite venue! Monserate is set to skyrocket in popularity so I’m so thankful we found it when we did and their staff made it all possible for us!! We will forever be grateful. Monserate Winery made our wedding a dream. Their team is so helpful and made our big day everything I wanted and more. The venue was beautiful and I love how there is multiple options on where you can get married on their property. Annie was very responsive and flexible with all of my requests. During the day of the wedding, I didn’t have to worry about one thing at all and felt very confident in their team to handle everything. I can’t say enough good things about this venue.
