We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jeff Baas, Joe, and Montage Media Films. From the moment they arrived on our wedding day, they were professional, kind, personable, and incredibly easy to work with.
Jeff and Joe brought such a calm and positive presence throughout the day. They gave direction when needed, kept things moving naturally, and made the entire videography experience feel comfortable and effortless. They were attentive without ever being intrusive, which allowed us to stay present and enjoy the day while they captured everything happening around us.
One of the things that impressed us most was their creative vision. They have an incredible eye for composition, movement, lighting, and perspective. It was fascinating to watch them look at a location or moment and immediately see the potential for a beautiful, cinematic shot. There was so much intention behind the way they approached filming our wedding, and it was obvious how much thought and artistry they puts into their work.
Nothing felt generic or formulaic. Jeff approached our wedding as its own story, looking for ways to capture not only what was happening, but the atmosphere and emotion of the day. His creativity really stood out to us, and we loved seeing some of the ideas he came up with in the moment.
Joe was wonderful as well. He was professional, friendly, attentive, and worked seamlessly alongside Jeff throughout the day. They complemented each other incredibly well and made a fantastic team.
We also really appreciated their ability to balance posed and creative footage with the natural moments unfolding around them. They knew when to step in with an idea or a little direction, and when to quietly let a moment happen. That made the experience feel relaxed while still allowing them to create something truly special.
Most importantly, we genuinely enjoyed having Jeff and Joe with us on our wedding day. They brought great energy, were wonderful to be around, and made the experience fun from beginning to end.
We would recommend Montage Media Films without hesitation. Professional, kind, creative, talented, and wonderful to have as part of such an important day. 🤍

ny questions we had, to the day of our wedding, we had only had positive experiences.
The day of our wedding was a little chaotic in terms of coordination and timing. Jeff and our photographer stepped up and made sure things still went smoothly, all with a positive attitude and calm demeanor.
I cannot reiterate how beautiful and special our wedding video is, and how perfectly our day was captured. We will be able to relive our special day forever and we are so thankful for that!
One more shoutout that I cannot get over - we had asked Jeff about incorporating a special song into our video, but understood if it wasn't possible due to several factors. He surprised us with the song once he delivered the video and it absolutely melted our hearts and meant so much to us!!

What a talent Montage Media has! Simply incredible. My husband was particularly worried about being mic’d up and videoed for some of our more private moments (first look, vows, etc...
.) but they were able to capture those moments in such a noninvasive way - we truly forgot they were there (in the best way possible!) Everything from the sneak peek to the highlight video to the ceremony coverage was executed perfectly. They picked up on aspects of the wedding that may have been unnoticed by some but that were most important to us and ensured they were incorporated into the video. We can’t thank them enough for creating a keepsake that we will watch for the rest of our lives. I will say it a million times over, find a way to get Montage Media at your wedding - you won’t regret it!

He worked seamlessly with our photographer and made sure we were comfortable with being on camera when we recited our private vows. Although we only hired Jeff, he was able to set up multiple camera angles for our ceremony and speeches so that it captured all reactions and incorporated the different viewpoints into our video. His drone footage was incredible and really made the video feel high quality. Overall, I'd say Jeff was extremely pleasant to work with and really showed that he cares about what he does. my sister's video a few years back, and are a ton of fun to be around!! They flew all the way to Colorado to film our ski wedding. We had to change the plan due to weather and they jumped on board and had everything under control to video the day before the actual wedding. They were so enthusiastic and had a plan for the last second skiing. The day of the wedding they were there to help in ways beyond what a videographer would normally do and along with our photographer kept a chaotic day running smoothly! They had both our sneak peak and actual video ready extremely quickly. Both brought us to tears and allowed us to relive the entire day over and over. They are incredible at capturing the emotion of your day and put it all together perfectly in their videos. I would 100% recommend Montage Media to anyone getting married or doing an event - they are the absolute best at what they do and we couldn't be more grateful for the work that they did for us!

Aside from being an excellent videographer, it is very clear that he has been doing this for a long time and is well aware of the nuances of capturing the emotions and experiences of our wedding. To this day we watch our video frequently with a big smile on our faces.

From start to finish Jeff is amazing to work with! He even helped on the time management and putting together a time frame, since we are a “wait till the last minute” kind of couple.
On the day of they were prompt on arrival and worked closely with our photographer to get the picture perfect scenes that you will reflect on and cherish for a life time. Most of the time you don’t even know Jeff and his team are there! They work seamlessly with your vendors and guest to catch all the best shots and when you look back you will be astounded by things you would have never seen without the video!
Now the video… where to begin?! If you ever wanted to be an actress or just the “star” of the show Jeff and his team make it a reality! We have been told by our guests and we couldn’t agree more but our wedding video looks like it belongs on the big screen! It even has the whole Hollywood cinematic feel!

We had some issues with the weather causing me to make a last minute decision of having an indoor or outdoor ceremony and Jeff made me feel so confident with my decision of keeping it outdoor and they captured the fall colors perfectly and the rain held off! Jeff and the team made everyone in my family and wedding party feel so comfortable being captured. They worked with my photographer extremely well, helping her find the best spots to capture everything perfectly. I picked the package that comes with the memory book that displays my wedding on the screen when you open it and my husband and I love it and will cherish it forever. I haven’t seen any other company offer something so special and it was definitely a huge factor as to why we chose Montage Media. I cried many times at the wedding because of how overjoyed I was, but the moments that we captured of our big day by their team made it a million times better. Jeff made something that we will treasure in our hearts forever and I couldn't be more grateful that him and his team does this for couples like us. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a videographer and even to people that might be second guessing if it is even worth it. Our video is priceless and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you from our family and from James and I. We love our video and are so grateful for all you do. t have been more wrong! About eight months before the big day, I realized we couldn't miss the opportunity to have our day on film, and started the search for a team. As with all other aspects of our day, I quickly knew I wanted to find a team that could not only capture our day, but could also bring to life the beauty of Leelanau County with drone footage. With recommendations by both our friends (2021 clients of Montage) and our planning team, we were introduced to Jeff and the Montage team and we never looked back!
From our initial conversation, Jeff was so easy to talk to and really could envision out loud everything that was in my head. We talked through what I thought I would want from a video and ideas we had already worked through with our Photographer for the day's events. Jeff was then able to take those and helped us make them even better! It helped so much that his book of work already captured so much of what I was looking for in terms of story and drone footage. Being a Northern Michigan local, he knew exactly how to capture what I was looking for with both scenes from my home as we got ready as well as footage above while we got married on the top of the hill at the Homestead. He even helped us come up with reading our letters aloud to each other during our first look which became such a memorable time for my Husband and I to share our vows, just between us.
Then, within only a month, we were gifted our most cherished piece from the day, the final video. It was far more perfect than anything we could have imagined. It was so light and fun, just as our day was, but captured every detail and feeling that was felt on that day. It is how we will always remember this day and we are so grateful for the pure movie magic Jeff and Joe were able to capture. We feel so lucky to have worked with the Montage team and could not thank them enough for creating such a work of art for our day!

re so nice, made us feel comfortable, and then for most of the night we didn’t even notice they were there. They got so many awesome shots and didn’t get in the way of our guests dancing the night away.
Then when we got our videos we were blown away. My husband finally agreed that a videographer was worth the money. There were so many special moments that we either forgot or didn’t see because the day was so busy. The way he cut everything it is like a feature film.
I picked Montage Media before because I found myself getting lost in the wedding videos of people I didn’t know. Now having our own videos produced by them, I feel so special and honored to have such a high quality keepsake of our special day.

creative myself, I was afraid I'd be picky about what was captured or music selected, but Jeff nailed it. They captured details that made the story of our day that much more emotional. It was a stretch for us to financially to pick Montage Media, but I knew they would be worth it and I was totally right. We will cherish these videos so much. I cry and feel way more emotion watching this than looking at my wedding photos. I highly recommend anyone who wants a quality to book them. You will not regret it! eo - it has everything - all of our favorite people, laughs, tears, dancing, and so much more. We were simply speechless watching our video for the first time. It was like reliving the day all over again, except with so many more angles and perspectives. The artistry and production value are SO HIGH, too. The audio is crystal clear, the shots are balanced, framed beautifully, the pacing is exciting and thrilling. I used to work in broadcast production and I can tell you from experience their vision and technical skillsets are extraordinarily rare! Many say they can shoot video but not everyone can craft such a beautiful story. Jeff and his team are true storytellers. Jeff and his second shooter Joe operated seamlessly and unintrusively on the day of the wedding. Jeff was so kind and went out of his way to meet and talk with us during the wedding planning stages to make sure everything went smoothly, and it did. I could go on and on...but my one advice to any new couple? Hire Montage Media ASAP. Our wedding video is priceless to me, and I am so thankful we have this to treasure for the rest of our lives. On top of loving the content, Jeff was so personable and amazing to work with. He made my whole bridal party feel so comfortable in front of the camera and got all the best shots. He also worked with me for an extra long day since I really wanted our sparkler send off on film, and surprised my husband and I with a teaser video at the end of the night that they played in front of all our guests that were still there. It was so so special.
I could not recommend them more, truly! I would give 6/5 stars if I could.

e knew going into this that Jeff is an expert and when he had to pivot and get creative when bad weather threw off wedding day plans, his cleverness and experience really showed as he was not phased. In fact, the clips/shots/videos he delivered as the final products were truly spectacular. Lastly, we took advantage of the second shooter option which was extremely worth it. It allowed for so much more flexibility and so much additional footage. Being able to relive the entire wedding day was made possible by Montage and we cannot recommend them enough. Amazing experience.
