What a talent Montage Media has! Simply incredible. My husband was particularly worried about being mic’d up and videoed for some of our more private moments (first look, vows, etc.) but they were able to capture those moments in such a noninvasive way - we truly forgot they were there (in the best way possible!) Everything from the sneak peek to the highlight video to the ceremony coverage was executed perfectly. They picked up on aspects of the wedding that may have been unnoticed by some but that were most important to us and ensured they were incorporated into the video. We can’t thank them enough for creating a keepsake that we will watch for the rest of our lives. I will say it a million times over, find a way to get Montage Media at your wedding - you won’t regret it!

We had the pleasure of working with Jeff to capture our wedding in Bay Harbor, MI this past June and were impressed throughout the process. He took the time before to listen to our preferences and answer all our questions so we felt prepared heading into the big day. He worked seamlessly with our photographer and made sure we were comfortable with being on camera when we recited our private vows. Although we only hired Jeff, he was able to set up multiple camera angles for our ceremony and speeches so that it captured all reactions and incorporated the different viewpoints into our video. His drone footage was incredible and really made the video feel high quality. Overall, I'd say Jeff was extremely pleasant to work with and really showed that he cares about what he does. The final video was everything that we hoped for! We've watched it on a loop ever since receiving it, and it really is so special. Big thanks for Jeff and Montage media!

Montage Media Films went above and beyond in multiple ways to make our wedding video dreams come true! We knew we wanted to work with them after they had done an incredible job on my sister's video a few years back, and are a ton of fun to be around!! They flew all the way to Colorado to film our ski wedding. We had to change the plan due to weather and they jumped on board and had everything under control to video the day before the actual wedding. They were so enthusiastic and had a plan for the last second skiing. The day of the wedding they were there to help in ways beyond what a videographer would normally do and along with our photographer kept a chaotic day running smoothly! They had both our sneak peak and actual video ready extremely quickly. Both brought us to tears and allowed us to relive the entire day over and over. They are incredible at capturing the emotion of your day and put it all together perfectly in their videos. I would 100% recommend Montage Media to anyone getting married or doing an event - they are the absolute best at what they do and we couldn't be more grateful for the work that they did for us!

Montage Media Film (specifically, Jeff and his assistant) helped turn our wedding dream into a reality! It has taken me so long to write this review because I am still in awe with the amazing work done by Montage Media!!! Jeff and Joe were both amazing to work with. I don't think my (now) husband and I made it easy on him, either -- neither of us are very comfortable in front of a camera; and somehow still, the video they made from our wedding day is STUNNING. If I could do the day over and over again, I'd hire them without hesitation every time. This will be something (probably the #1 thing) that we cherish from a day that always goes by way too fast. If I could give this 100 stars I would! Jeff is so unbelievably talented, and he makes it seem effortless. Like many couples, we weren't sure if we needed a videographer at our wedding - and after working with Craig we are SO happy we decided to. Not only was the final product completely worth it, but he made the experience for us and our bridal party so fun. He caught moments photography can't and had the best attitude while doing so. My experience with Montage Media was amazing! I cannot express enough how professional and supportive they were on the day of my wedding. Their past experience at my venue helped make my day run very smoothly. We had some issues with the weather causing me to make a last minute decision of having an indoor or outdoor ceremony and Jeff made me feel so confident with my decision of keeping it outdoor and they captured the fall colors perfectly and the rain held off! I knew the video was going to be amazing after seeing other wedding videos this team has put together and even with that previous history in mind I was still blown away. One look at the video the guys at Montage Media put together for my daughter’s wedding and I knew I had made the right decision choosing them to put together this memory of our family’s special day. My daughter called when she got the video and was crying tears of joy reliving her wedding day (dad may have if shed a few tears of joy again too). Where do we even begin to say how wonderful it was to have Jeff and his team to do our wedding video. James and I were trying to save money for my parents and were originally not going to have a videographer. But after my parents watching a few of the videos, they decided to bite the bullet and have Montage Media Films do our video. How lucky were we to find Jeff, Joe, and the entire Montage Media team to capture our wedding. To start the planning process, I did not think we would need/want a video; I could not have been more wrong! About eight months before the big day, I realized we couldn't miss the opportunity to have our day on film, and started the search for a team. As with all other aspects of our day, I quickly knew I wanted to find a team that could not only capture our day, but could also bring to life the beauty of Leelanau County with drone footage. With recommendations by both our friends (2021 clients of Montage) and our planning team, we were introduced to Jeff and the Montage team and we never looked back!  From our initial conversation, Jeff was so easy to talk to and really could envision out loud everything that was in my head. We talked through what I thought I would want from a video and ideas we had already worked through with our Photographer for the day's events. Jeff was then able to take those and helped us make them even better! It helped so much that his book of work already captured so much of what I was looking for in terms of story and drone footage. Being a Northern Michigan local, he knew exactly how to capture what I was looking for with both scenes from my home as we got ready as well as footage above while we got married on the top of the hill at the Homestead. He even helped us come up with reading our letters aloud to each other during our first look which became such a memorable time for my Husband and I to share our vows, just between us. Then, within only a month, we were gifted our most cherished piece from the day, the final video. It was far more perfect than anything we could have imagined. It was so light and fun, just as our day was, but captured every detail and feeling that was felt on that day. It is how we will always remember this day and we are so grateful for the pure movie magic Jeff and Joe were able to capture. Jeff and his team were BEYOND AMAZING. We didn’t meet until the day of, but they were so comfortable to work with, and even understood my husbands goofy humor. Words really can't describe just how impressed and happy I was with Montage Media Films. My wedding video is incredible and exactly what I envisioned and more. Being a professional creative myself, I was afraid I'd be picky about what was captured or music selected, but Jeff nailed it. My husband and I hired Montage Media for our wedding video, and what they produced for us is honestly on par with a short film! They condensed so much love and emotion into one video - it has everything - all of our favorite people, laughs, tears, dancing, and so much more. Craig is the consummate pro and we had so much fun working with him on our wedding day! The team meshed seamlessly with our photographers, which helped everything run smoothly. After such an amazing wedding day, we were pleasantly surprised to receive the teaser the very next day(!!). Even in a 60 second clip, it was evident Craig had listened to every important detail we had shared with him pre-wedding. The final product was out of this world!!! Most of my family and friends who have watched our wedding video have told me that they have watched it repeatedly and cry every time they watch it. The video is beautiful, artsy, personal, and unique. Not only are we SUPER happy with the final product, but Jeff was amazing to work with on the big day! He got everyone excited and really knew how to prompt us to get the amazing shots. Also, if you have a venue in a beautiful setting it is key to have Jeff's drone shots to capture the scenery.

Jeff & the Montage Media Films crew exceeded our expectations. From the very start, Jeff was extremely responsive and proactive in getting all of our wedding details nailed down. We knew going into this that Jeff is an expert and when he had to pivot and get creative when bad weather threw off wedding day plans, his cleverness and experience really showed as he was not phased. In fact, the clips/shots/videos he delivered as the final products were truly spectacular. Lastly, we took advantage of the second shooter option which was extremely worth it. It allowed for so much more flexibility and so much additional footage. Being able to relive the entire wedding day was made possible by Montage and we cannot recommend them enough. Amazing experience.

If you don't book Montage, you're going to regret it. I first was introduced to Montage Media when they filmed my brother's wedding in 2019. To this day, whenever I watch their wedding video I still cry. It was right then I decided I would be booking them for my wedding as well, whenever that was going to happen. I've kept their information for three years and they were the first vendor I booked when I found my venue and date. Jeff was amazing. He was prompt, professional, funny, and so fun to work with. He captured some incredible shots and even sent us a sneak peek shot clip less than 24 hours after our wedding. I think he was just as excited about some of his shots as we were. Even the short 60 second clip he sent looked like a cinematic preview for a real movie. I cannot stress this enough, BOOK MONTAGE!

If you do anything for your wedding, hire Montage Media Films for your videographers!!! Out of all of our vendors, Craig was our favorite to work with by far. He was super responsive throughout the whole planning process, made us feel very special on our day, and kept everyone on track. When I say that these guys are pro’s, I mean it 100% (not to mention, he saved me from a full blown mental breakdown during our family portraits during 95° heat and humidity, not my finest moment 😅) He stepped in and basically directed the whole day when he saw our timeline heading south and I don’t know what we would have done without him. AMAZING!! MUST HIRE!!! Montage Media videotaped my wedding on 9/5/21. Jeff was quick to respond to all my emails throughout my year of planning. This was greatly appreciated as many vendors take a long time to respond to questions, but not Jeff! They were super fun to work with on the wedding day. We got our wedding videos back and they are all amazing. Hiring this videographer is worth every penny. After the wedding it was difficult to remember every detail of the day because it flew by and is overwhelming as the Bride & Groom. We can't thank Montage Media Films enough for exceeding all our wedding video dreams!! They went above and beyond to capture our special day and even caught many moments we didn't even know happened but are so thankful to now have a memory of! ha! I truly can't recommend them enough. They are SO kind and fun to work with. I have been a guest at many weddings in the past where the videographer feels intrusive and in the way but NOT MONTAGE MEDIA!!! That's why my now husband and I were stunned to watch our video back and think "how and when did they capture that!" We never once felt like they were in the way or distracting at any point throughout the day. Oh and their drone shots are simply INCREDIBLE! We are so grateful for their skills and passion and excited to watch all our videos for decades to come!!

Jeff was amazing to work with, we would HIGHLY recommend. From the get go Jeff made us feel comfortable with the process, worked with us to find the right package, and guided us throughout. On the day-of he did an amazing job working with our photographer to suggest/capture great shots, ensured we got every moment we asked to get, and did a phenomenal job organizing our wedding party and guests. To cap it off, the end highlight video (~8 minutes) blew us away, capturing so many moments we did (and didn’t remember). We can't thank Jeff enough for being a part of our wedding day. After seeing the video I couldn't help but think "how did he get that shot?", "when was he there?", "how'd he know to capture that person?". He captured the big and little moments and so many that we didn't get to see in real time and for that we are extremely grateful. Jeff's ability to pivot when the weather didn't cooperate and entertainment did not show was also amazing. He captured our friends and family being their natural selves and really put together an outstanding film that summed up the day perfectly. We so appreciate all of Jeff's work and would highly recommend him.

Jeff did more than we dreamed of. His services require a “no brainer “ to hire. Do it! Jeff’s passion and artist flair is reflected in his final products. More than that he has the knack for capturing the subjects true personalities and opens the window to more than memories can capture. We had never met until the wedding, except for preliminary phone calls but feel we have been aquatinted for a lifetime. He captured our wedding festivities, our once in a lifetime event, for those who attended and could not. We have received many compliments from others who say they felt the love through Jeff’s eye of the lens. It was an expense that was worth it. The time spent getting the captured moments did not feel intrusive. Jeff put all he focused on at ease. Again, he has the knack. Craig and his team were so great to work with! They made us both feel at ease, did a great job working along our photographer and were very professional. Our wedding highlight video was beautiful and really captured the feel of our day. I am so glad we hired this team and have the most wonderful day documented so beautifully!

Craig and Jeff of Montage Media were phenomenal to work with! They were great communicators leading up to our wedding day and the day of. Their passion for what they do shows in their attitudes and in their finished products! It was so fun to work with them on our wedding day! But best of all, the video they put together captured our wedding day perfectly. So many people have told us how breathtaking the video is and not just because it is our wedding, but because of the high quality and artistry Craig and Jeff put into it! I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with!!

If you are still looking for a wedding videographer, I highly recommend hiring Montage Media Films! My husband and I got married 8-1-2020 at Aurora Cellars. Jeff Baas and Craig Baas from Montage Media Films did an AMAZING job videotaping our special day! Jeff Baas is the owner and lead videographer and his brother Craig Baas is the second videographer – they are such a great team! We bought the 8-hr Total Package, which included: 2 videographers (Jeff and Craig), drone footage (super cool!!), a 7-min highlight video that was produced 8 weeks after our wedding and an HOUR long video which included our entire ceremony, all the speeches, dances, cake cutting, getting ready with the bridal party and so many more special moments! This package is $4,000 but since we reached out to Jeff so early before our wedding (almost 2 years in advance), he gave us a $500 discount, which was really nice of him! It was a significant investment but it was so worth it, we definitely do not regret it! We received a package from Jeff about 10 weeks after our wedding, which included an awesome video album (I’ll explain more what this is) of our highlight video and a flash drive with our full hour-long wedding video. When I shared our highlight video on Facebook everyone was so blown away! Everyone said it was the best and most beautiful wedding video they had ever seen, it looked so professional and many people said they loved it so much it brought them to tears! The video album is SO COOL! We were not expecting to get this (it was not listed as one of the things you get when you buy the Total Package) so we were so happily surprised when we received it! It looks like a white photo album and when you open it up there is a flat screen on the right side that turns on and starts playing your wedding highlight video! Such a special and unique thing to have! Hiring Montage Media Films was one of the best decisions we made to help document our wedding day! Having video of our wedding became even more important to us given all the changes and challenges this year has brought with the COVID pandemic. About half of our guests decided not to attend our wedding for fear of catching the virus (on a side note, no one caught COVID at our wedding). Therefore, it was important for us to be able to share video footage of our wedding with our guests who could not attend so they could still experience all of the special moments as they actually happened instead of just seeing still pictures. Jeff and Craig Baas were so professional, positive and just fun to be around! We appreciated that they were willing to work with us if we did need to make any changes to our wedding (luckily we didn't), they did not cancel on us and they videotaped our day safely (they wore their masks the whole time). Again, I highly recommend Montage Media Films if you are still looking for a wedding videographer! It is so worth the investment especially during this time when many of your wedding guests will most likely not be able to attend your wedding for safety reasons during this COVID pandemic. It is so wonderful to be able to watch and hear special moments from our wedding as they actually happened for years to come and Montage Media Films does an amazing job capturing these moments beautifully!

My husband and I were married 2/29/20! We just barely snuck it in before COVID hit, shutting everything down. We had Jeff and Craig come spend our day with us! Not only did they do a phenomenal job but they were soo easy to have around! We absolutely loved our day and are so very thankful we can relive it whenever we want. They are so good at their job and they work so well with other vendors and the photographer to get all the great shots! Definitely worth every penny!

We ended up booking Craig a bit last minute because of everything with COVID and worries about having to reschedule and having friends/family miss out. We are SO happy that we ended up making this decision. Hands down- was one of the best part of our day. Craig was so fun to work with and made everyone feel so comfortable. Our highlight video turned out so perfectly edited and put together, and was such a great investment. Having a professional quality video the ceremony, the speeches and the highlight reel of our special day will be something we cherish forever!

Jeff was absolutely FANTASTIC to work with. No matter how comfortable or uncomfortable you are in front of a camera he is able to put you at ease and work in the background so much that you barely notice he's there. But at the same time he goes above and beyond to help with your special day as needed. We won an elopement giveaway package that Montage Media Films volunteered their time and work for and due to Covid-19 we couldn't have any guests or family with us. Jeff helped my husband get his bow tie on, rode with me to the First View sight and kept me company, and even signed our marriage certificate. On top of all of that the final product of his work was amazing! Left us speechless and teary. The video was absolutely perfect. We could not be happier with the video, the professionalism, the creativity, and the genuine kindness. You will not be disappointed if you choose to hire Montage Media Films!

Jeff was such an incredible vendor to work with. He were extremely nice and professional. I planned my Traverse City wedding from Grand Rapids, not knowing much about the vendors I should look into. Montage Media was highly recommended to me by a friend who used them, and I am so thankful. I knew I wanted to invest most in photography and videography, but I never knew emotionally what a video could do when reliving your wedding day, until I watched mine. It was a cold fall day and I thought that would be my take away. However, after watching what Jeff did, the weather is the last thing I remember. He captured every detail I could have ever imagined wanting to rewatch perfectly and I will forever be thankful for choosing them to do my wedding. Please do yourself a favor and hire Montage Media!!! Do not even hesitate one second! When I was planning our wedding up in Sutton Bay/Traverse City this past fall, I really was not sure if I wanted to hire a videographer. I was not sure if I needed to have the added expense to everything else that was planned for our big day. I had already hired a great photographer, but didn't know if we really needed the additional video. In retrospect, it is one of the most treasured and amazing memories we have of that day - and do not regret the investment to get the most AMAZING moments captured forever of our day. I'm so happy we decide to hire Craig and team to capture all the little details, smiles, dances, and little .and big moments. The day goes by so fast, and there are moments captured on film that just cannot be represented the same way in a photo. They are so talented and really do such an amazing job of capturing everything in a thoughtful and creative way. If there were more stars here to give these guys I would!! It is worth every single penny! Just do it ! You will not regret it!

We were initially hesitant about fitting a videographer into our wedding budget, but we are so glad we did! Craig was awesome to work with on our wedding day - we don’t like being the center of attention, so we were a little nervous about being followed around by a videographer all day, but it didn’t feel that way at all. He was super easy to get along with, and we barely noticed he was there most of the time! We are incredibly happy with the final version of our highlights video, and we are so happy to have it - along with the full ceremony, speeches, and first dance videos - to watch and reminisce about our wedding day. The initial version of the highlights video wasn’t aligned with what we were expecting, though (e.g., we wanted a classy, sweet, romantic video, but the initial version of the video ended with a party vibe that didn’t align with what we wanted). So if you have any type of vision for what you would or would not like your highlights video to be, we’d recommend giving Montage a clear sense of your preferences/expectations since they don’t have any type of questionnaire to gauge that. We really appreciate Craig working with us to make changes so that the final highlights video aligned with what we felt were truly the highlights of our wedding day. Thank you so much for capturing our day and putting these memories together so beautifully for us, Craig!

I highly recommend Montage Media Films to any bride looking for a long-term keepsake of their wedding day. Jeff was so easy to talk to and work with throughout the process - booking, planning, and filming. My husband and I were so nervous to see ourselves on film since it is not a typical thing for us. However, we could not have been happier with the results of the video. Jeff capture all of the important moments and created something that allows us to feel like we are reliving that day all over again.
