Our experience with Mahlstedt Ranch Inc has been 100% positive. We purchased two yearling geldings In August 2023. They are growing, excelling and showing excellent temperance and aptitude. Both colts have excellent confirmation, and we are ver...
y pleased with them. We will be breaking them spring of 2024.
These Colts are very friendly and personable. I’m looking forward to breaking them. The red roan colt is extremely smooth moving. The sorrel is heavy boned and muscular yet very quick and cat like - both will make performance horses at a show level.
Tana Canen is easy to work with and is absolutely trustworthy. You will enjoy seeing the ranch and stock.
We had the most amazing stay at Jord's House at the Mahlstedt Ranch, which is the agritourism side of their business.
We had the most amazing western experience with an overnight stay on their ranch.

o a ranch, must less stayed at one.
With the 'backyard' overlooking the Montana Badlands, it's the most amazing backdrop for a restful stay. We especially loved watching the horses run around the ranch.
Watching the sunset and the stars populate the sky before a storm rolled in was also a highlight. There are no neighorbors within miles of the property so one can just imagine the peacefulness and silence the ranch experience offered.
A definite highlight of our 2023 travels and even our lifetime.

othing but a gentleman whatever is put in his path to learn. I thank God everyday He blessed us with him.
The Mahlstedt’s have created incredible horses with blood lines that are proven year after year to be good and beautiful companions to us as humans.
I thank them for their knowledge and diligence in their generational quality in their breading program.
