Overall, this venue is absolutely gorgeous, with the pond, grassy areas, gazebo, and covered open air reception area, and it accommodated our 140-person wedding easily (with the exception of bathroom capacity). It was easy to tour and get questions answered, and Lisa (venue coordinator) was very helpful throughout the planning process. A huge highlight of this venue is that they have a ton of decor supplies (vases, tulle, dessert stands, signs) that they freely let you use. They were also flexible with us bringing in our own milk tea & boba, hanging our own flower wall for a photobooth, etc; it was hard to find this level of customizability at venues in the area. In addition, the BYO alcohol policy saved us a ton of money. We would recommend to not get too fancy, though, as the bartenders were inexperienced, and proportions were incorrect at times. But the option to bring mixers, spirits, beers, and wines opens up a fun night. Our main critique, and what we hope they will improve for future couples, is that they have no central planning systems in place, and therefore several details got missed for our event. Most of our communication was done through text, so it was hard to maintain coordination, coherency, and organization between the venue and customer. Day-of the wedding, I had provided a detailed floor plan and decor spreadsheet complete with photos, but certain elements weren't followed, and changes that were made weren't run by me or my family. Additionally, it came to our surprise when my family was told that the 100+ lemons we brought for cocktails would have to be squeezed by us before the wedding. This and other little mishaps could have been avoided with an online portal, or even simple planning forms and clearly communicated expectations. Our biggest disappointment was that we planned to have strawberry shortcake ice cream bars for dessert instead of cake, which we delivered to the venue the day before, but when it came time for dessert on our wedding night, we found out on the spot that all of the bars had not been put in the freezer by the venue staff and had melted. It was just especially disheartening, as I had provided our full dessert plan ahead of time and had spent a lot of time and money collecting all the bars, and no apology or compensation was provided to my husband and me afterwards. I would still recommend this venue to others, just with some caution if you're doing anything less traditionally or don't have your own coordinator. We still had a wonderful time, the food was some of the best wedding food we've ever had (they smoke their own tri-tip on site), and it was a beautiful backdrop to all our wedding memories.

Of all the comments I got about the wedding, the one I got the most was how amazing the venue was. It is absolutely beautiful, especially in the evening with all the lights. The planning process was fun and very easy. They had everything you'd need a reception venue to have. They've been doing this for years and are absolute pros. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious too! 10/10 recommend.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. Hennie is great to work with and very helpful in the planning process. I would just suggest hiring a coordinator if you plan on getting married here. There were a couple of times during our reception (like for our cake cutting) that we were behind schedule and I had to remind the staff. There were also decorations that did not make it to the right place but it was nothing to ruin the day. The food was SO delicious!

This is a beautiful venue with a gorgeous gazebo and reception area. The owner was very sweet and attentive to all of our requests and did a great job coordinating our wedding day. All of the food was made on site and it was delicious. I am so happy with everything about our wedding thanks to Monteleone Meadows!
