My wedding was last week and let me tell you Brian was the only person willing to help me plan and navigate this process through COVID. We connected in July 2020 and by July 2021 I was married. From dealing with the permits to helpful suggestions and keeping me updated with all of the changes Brian was amazing. He and his wife work as a team and are absolutely perfect! Brian is literally the quintessential Officiant, always smiling and looking pleasant in the back of pictures. He is genuine and loves what he does. My husband and also became a huge fan of Brian on wedding day bonding with him while waiting for me. I cannot thank Weddings in Monterey enough for making my day perfect.

In the end I'm so thankful my family member passed on officiating because Brian played a huge role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. We filled out his wedding questionnaire (which was a fun couples activity in itself), met with him once in-person a month before the wedding to go over additional details, and he sent us the ceremony script for review. It was perfectly lighthearted but thoughtful and written as if he had known us for years. He attended our rehearsal (recommend) and impressed our family and wedding party with his laid-back but professional persona. one present. (We had people of different religious persuasions at our wedding – and some of no persuasion at all – so we wanted the ceremony to be accessible to all.) Brian was very accommodating to our needs and worked with us to create a ceremony that felt like us. He started with a general template for us to look over and sent us a questionnaire about various preferences we had, from whether or not we wanted a prayer, to how we would like to be announced at the end, etc. He took our feedback into account and then made tweaks and changes. We were able to read the ceremony prior to the wedding and make additional changes if we wanted, which was fantastic. We kept the ceremony fairly short and simple, but did add a reading of our choice and we had 2 sets of vows (traditional + personal). The end result was a ceremony that was beautiful, heartfelt, and intimate, but not too long and the perfect mix of joyful and serious. We never actually met Brian prior to the ceremony, but we chatted over email and had a couple of phone meetings. The day of the wedding, he was very punctual and accommodating to how we wanted him to start off the ceremony. He was very easy to work with: friendly, professional, and a good sense of humor.

We picked him before we even saw his pricing and was happily surprised that it was a price we could afford and his packages included everything we wanted plus more. From beginning communication over email to the wedding day, he was perfect. He is such a calming presence and genuinely sweet. I look back on my wedding day, and I look back and think it was perfect besides the fact I was so very late and pushed Brian's schedule back. If you are a bride allow your plan for many mistakes because know matter how much you go over your plan, you will need wiggle room, Trust Me. Thanks so much Brian we couldn't have found a better person to marry us, I'm still very sorry for running so late.
