Our secluded 354 acres of natural beauty are 15 minutes from Downtown Maryville and only 25 minutes from Knoxville's McGhee-Tyson Airport (TYS). From rolling pastures to the golden tiara above that is Chilhowee Mountain, this has been a place of healing and new beginnings since the mid-1800s. Drawn by our natural black sulfur spring, people from all over the world flocked to the spa resort on the site. It had such a reputation that it became known as the "Saratoga of the South." Whether you choose to have your ceremony or reception in one of our three beautiful pavilions, our 5,000 square foot lodge, our peaceful outdoor chapel, or our expansive, tree-lined lawn, we have the perfect spot in any season for you to celebrate your commitment with your friends and family. Peak Season is May 1 – October 31. We offer reduced prices in Off-Season. We have three pricing packages designed to fit any budget, and exclusive use of the venues on the property comes with all of them. The Dogwood, Laurel, and Magnolia Packages include tables and chairs, use of our lodge's commercial kitchen for your choice of caterer, one of our two lovely bridal dressing spaces, and access to the property the day or night before for decorating and/or the rehearsal dinner. The Laurel and Magnolia Packages add the use of our golf cart for the duration of your wedding, as well as an engagement photoshoot on a separate day. The Magnolia includes every service we offer plus two nights at our popular, designer-decorated, three-bedroom, two-bath Thompson Guest House. When it is available, all of our couples have the option of renting the Thompson House, which boasts a fabulous bridal party “Glam Room” inside. (Two-night minimum.) Did you have a destination wedding in mind? We also have bunk room-style cabins that can sleep a total of 145 people for per night price. Your guests will love our many hiking trails, gaga ball pit, basketball court, sand volleyball court, huge bonfire pit, and an interactive playground for children. With special arrangements, you can also add on the use of our sparkling swimming pool, challenge course, gigantic climbing tower, and even equine experiences as they fit into your schedule. Today, while we still have our black sulfur springhead, we now share our magical place with wandering deer, wild turkeys, the occasional black bear, horses, a donkey, and our very friendly goats.
