Their designated caterer, Genesis, provided delicious food for our seated dinner (I was a tad nervous about our choice to forgo a buffet, but the portions were large, the food was warm, and the service was quick!). Their staff set up and took down the reception decor for us - everything looked perfect, and it was so so convenient. And to add a cherry on top - the rental fee for using the ballroom actually goes to the Shriners Hospital for Children! What a great package.

e so I called Monday 11-21-15 to book it. We decided to go with 9-26 not 10-10. They were getting a new boss, so I was told to wait to make any plans till after the first of the year. I called the end of January and the lady in the office told me that she was still waiting for it to be approved. So a friend was up at this place Monday 3-3-15 and my contract was approved or so I was told. So he paid for the hall. Then I get a call Tuesday afternoon from the lady that it had been dealing with saying the hall was already booked and that my contract wasn't approved. She then goes on to say that she never had my date to begin with. So as you can imagine I'm not happy we have already put deposits down on multiple different things. So my fiance goes up there Thursday 3-5 to talk with someone in person. He was told by this man that this situation has been blown way out of proportion. That's not something you tell the groom. If your staff was doing their job this never would have happened because we would have went with the other date in October. He kept saying to my fiance to just switch our date so we weren't happy but we said ok give us 10-10 well we don't have that open. So he said what dates do you have he said 8-1 or 10-31. Well my dresses won't be here for the August date and we don't want Halloween. Then says that people had booked the hall back in September. We were shocked because we have had multiple conversations with them and not one person ever said that a couple was in line before us. Then man tells my fiance that we paid first and the only reason this other couple paid was because the lady who I had be talking with called them and said they had a deposit down so they had to pay or otherwise they lose their spot. So this hall never had a penny from this other couple until we put our money down. He also said that they had 2 other people after me so what did they tell these poor people. He said they can have multiple people down for one date and my fiance said what that's odd but you don't tell people that when they call he didn't have an answer. When I talked to the head guy up there all he could say was sorry and that Moncia the office lady is usually pretty good. Well obviously not good enough because I had talked with her 3 different times and she had our contract that is there form and it had all of our info. on it with the date. I also said that she told me she never had my date and he said well I've had your contract request form since January. I said Monica said this on my VM which I saved. He said that she is not normally like this. I said well I saved the VM if you want to listen to it. Then of course no answer. Just beware that this place books multiple people on one date.

lls during the planning stages and made everything so easy and stress-free. The staff was outstanding - the were professional, attentive and so nice. I have food allergies and everyone was so accommodating and I ended up having a fantastic gluten free dinner. All of our guests raved about the food and even the pickiest of eaters said that the roast beef was the best they had ever eaten. Between the set-up, arranging for picking up all of our stuff after the wedding, the attentiveness the day of, the ease of all of the planning... we could not have picked a better venue for our reception! Many thanks to the Moolah and Genesis for giving us our dream reception!!!!

ests and there was never a time that I felt crowded. The bar area was set up with pub tables and you are able to use the patio area for mingling as well. Bathrooms are kinda small but that is about it. Room was perfectly set up and it needed very little decorating since it was already redone earlier last year. Great place that I didn't even know existed.

e was tons of room for people to walk around in between tables. The dance floor was huge-perfect for our reception! Our guests kept complimenting the lights and the stars hanging from the ceiling. They all asked all long it took us to hang all that up and were surprised when we told them that it was part of the venue!! The coordinator - Chad - was great during the whole planning process. He made it so easy!! So happy we chose the Moolah Ballroom for our reception!
