Sue is very professional and a amazing DJ. She had people dancing the entire night. We have all been to those weddings where the dance floor is empty. That was not the case with sue. She played songs that we wanted to hear and mix in a few crowd pleasers! Highly recommend

Suzanne DJ'ed both my brother and sister's weddings this past summer and was a hit with the whole family! Both couples had different musical tastes and each wedding was perfectly catered to their respective styles. Suzanne was incredibly organized and went over every detail prior to the wedding so on the day itself there weren't any questions and everything ran perfectly smoothly. She had everyone out on the dance floor at both weddings and many people commented on how awesome the music was! Highly recommend!

She arrived well in advance of the ceremony and the music and sound clarity were perfect. She reviewed our song request prior to the wedding and played all of them. Suzanne was the DJ at both of my son's and daughter's weddings that were one month apart. What I can say is they are very consistent in their professionalism, promptness, and most of all ability to read the crowd. They adhered to the requests of the bride and groom and were very accommodating to the many requests by the guests. Guests felt very comfortable approaching Suzanne who always greeted them with a smile. At the end of the day, guests came up to me to say what a great time they had dancing!! I had the pleasure of working with Alan for my October 2021 wedding. My original wedding date in 2020 had to be rescheduled due to Covid, and Alan was so attentive and seamlessly moved dates with me. Upon my first meeting with Alan in 2019 I could tell he would be the perfect fit for what I was looking for in a DJ. Alan was very responsive in a timely manner to answer any questions or concerns I may have had. Prior to the wedding, Alan and I had a phone conference and we reviewed everything from prelude songs to the last song of the night. Alan took the time to make sure all the songs I wanted to hear at my wedding were played and I am so grateful for his attention to detail. I also threw another request at Alan during my reception and Alan delivered. He kept my guests on the dance floor all night and created such a fun and memorable atmosphere! I highly recommend Alan!

Suzanne DJ'd our June 2019 wedding and absolutely hit it out of the park. She is really well organized, helping us make our music list and getting a sense of what kind of feel we were looking for at our reception. So many of our guests came up to us to say that the music was excellent and that they had such a fun time. We saw Moondance at a friends wedding and had so much fun, we knew right away we wanted them for our wedding. We could not have been happier. Alan was our DJ and did a spectacular job. He met with us before the wedding and then called the week of to go over the final details. He had the dance floor packed all night with our list and requests. We also used their up-lighting service which was so reasonably priced and made our venue look so beautiful. It was a great experience working with this vendor.

DJ Alex is the son of the owner and was perfect for our wedding. We just wanted some background music played for dinner and we made a list of all the music we wanted played for dancing. Alex is a club DJ and just starting out doing weddings, so the price was 1/2 that of their regular price. This worked out great since we were on a tight budget. He did a great job following our list of songs and everyone danced all night. We highly recommend, especially for the price.

Moondance was a recommended DJ from our venue & I am so glad we chose them. I was a bit hesitant at first because their pricing was less than most. However, Suzanne was AWESOME! We provided a list of 100+ songs and she played songs from that list all night long! I would use Moondance again - 100%!

We were extremely happy with Suzanne from Moondance Productions. After our first meeting with her we immediately knew she was the best pick for our multicultural wedding. We felt Suzanne understood our diverse kind of music and the kind of atmosphere we were hoping for. Prior to our event she spent a couple of hours with us going over all the details. Suzanne made sure she could pronounce the bridal party and parent's names correctly. She went over all the details of how the night would run and also suggested ideas of how to make it better. We went over the playlist and she was able to get a good sense of what we wanted. Suzanne remembered everything we requested and it was great knowing that I didn't have to worry about a thing! The dance floor was always full and people had a great time dancing. So many people came up to us during the wedding and afterwards telling us how great the music was and how much fun they had. At the end of the night my aunt from Ecuador requested music that was not part of the playlist and a very particular song that is hard to find. I have no idea how Suzanne did it, but she pulled it of seamlessly. I am so appreciative that she did because everyone talks about that moment of the wedding. It wasn’t planned and Suzanne made it happen. She was able to read the crowd and provide an atmosphere that our guests absolutely loved! Our guest list included people of all generations, different cultures and language but the music worked for everyone! After the wedding Suzanne even sent me pictures and videos that she captured of everyone dancing. In addition to the great music, the photo booth and lights provided by Moondance was a success. We loved our DJ!!! Susan was the best decision we made planning our wedding. She listened to exactly what our style and tastes were and didn't disappoint! Susan took the time to meet with us twice to discuss what our vision was for the night. She is so patient, professional and a great person to have involved. She also provides a very very competative price point. We both had the night of our lives and had a blast dancing with all of our guests!!!

We used moondance productions as our dj service, they were very prompt in the planning process. Suzanne (our dj) called a few days before the wedding to verify all the names and information. During the wedding she was very nice and calm when a few guests got a little mouthy. Overall she was a great dj.

Alan was great to work with. From the moment we first met with him, we knew it was a good fit. He is attentive and listens to you. He plays what you want to be played. We gave him a few songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dancing, and he did the rest! He picked the perfect songs to play and had just the right amount of variety. He even worked with my dad so that he could sing and play our first dance song! By the end of the night everyone was on the dance floor. Thanks again for making our day perfect!

I was very impressed with the quality of service from this vendor. Right up till the day of the wedding I was changing my mind with some songs, and it was not a problem for them. They always got back to me right away. Great job with announcements, without being too over the top. Played everything on my request list, and then some! We used them for up-lights too. They were much more reasonable than other company's we looked at. The most important thing was that our family and friends danced all night!

Alan was a great DJ. We could tell from our initial phone call that he was the laid back type of DJ that we wanted. No crazy call outs on the mic or crazy songs that we didn't want. He took our slightly different than average wedding playlist and worked through it so well, adding his own songs that fit in well, that he got much more dancing than we thought possible. So happy with our choice of Moondance Productions for our DJ, lighting and Photo Booth! From the initial contact to the last dance, everything was smooth going. We received a discount for using all three services, and it made things very easy to have them provide all three. Alan did a great job keeping the dance floor packed and playing all of our requests. The photo booth was such a huge hit! I would recommend it to every couple planning a wedding! The up-lights were the perfect touch for our venue, which needed a little more lighting. Easily the easiest vendor I dealt with.

We were so happy with our choice of DJ Alan for our wedding. We chose a venue and a caterer that did not provide a wedding coordinator. Alan stepped right in, from lining us up for the ceremony, to showing us how to cut the cake. He kept the timing of the reception on track so we were able to get everything done by the time the photographer left. PLUS, he played all our songs and kept the dance floor busy all night with great music. To us he was much more than a DJ. A wedding professional all the way!

I worked closely with Alan for our June 2017 wedding. He was very responsive over email and by phone, and never made me feel rushed, even when I had a lot of questions. In terms of Rhode Island DJs, Moondance is extremely affordable, which was a huge plus for us. The music they played was great--a perfect mix of old and new that had everyone at our wedding dancing for two hours straight! There was one tiny snafu with our entrance, but I'll be the first to admit that our request was kind of odd: we had wanted the entire bridal party to enter as one group, and then the entire grooms party to enter as another group. Instead, they were announced individually, as they are at a more traditional wedding. No harm, no foul! I really appreciated that Alan used the mic very sparingly; I've been to other weddings where the DJ kind of dominates the entire event, and I find that really cheesy. Not here! It was ALL about the music--Prince, Missy Elliot, the Backstreet Boys, the Temptations, and more! Overall, Moondance provides great service for the price, and Alan is very easy to work with.

Going with Moondance Productions proved to be a great decision. My wife and I were pretty specific about how we wanted to approach our wedding music and MCing, and DJ Pauline hit every mark with confidence. She was one of our luckiest discoveries. We really wanted a classic, music-driven DJ who would focus on spinning good music, setting the right tone for the night, and keeping our guests dancing. We interviewed several DJs before finding Moondance, and we were pretty discouraged. They were entirely focused on “pumping up the party!!!” (ugh), and their music suggestions were pretty corny and uninspiring. They didn’t seem to get the kind of night were looking for, tone-wise. Enter Moondance Productions, a company that we almost didn’t look at because the pricing seemed suspiciously reasonable. We met with Pauline in Providence, and we could tell we had our DJ; she was smart, organized, easy-going, and mature. She let us know that she was receptive to any amount of input (ranging from a few song requests all the way to a detailed playlist), and she was totally cool with our request to keep MCing and crowd-hyping to a minimum. She was all about understanding what type of night we wanted, and then directing all her skills and experience towards making it come to life. Pauline responded to every email in a timely manner, and kept careful track of all the announcements, times, names, and minutia that go into MCing a wedding. Most importantly, she really worked with us to make a playlist that would make us happy and keep our guests dancing. Our requests were all over the place: folk rock, dance music, 70’s and 80’s pop, psychedelic rock, top 40, indie, etc. Pauline wove it all together, peppered it with her own improvisations based on how the night was flowing, and put together a seamless mix that kept everyone delighted. A month later, our guests are still telling us how great the music was. What more could you ask for?

Just a quick review to let everybody know you will not regret working with Moondance for your wedding! So many little details I did not think of that Suzanne brought up and went over with me. She gave the best suggestions for things I had no clue about. Music was great, dance floor was packed, excellent on the mic, and the up-lighting was the perfect accent to the Narragansett Towers. I couldn't be happier!

Moondance was amazing! They were really great at making our wedding into a great party. They had our whole wedding dancing by the end of the evening. Moondance Productions is AWESOME. Mike T was our DJ and I still am getting phone calls from guests about how great he was! Moondance was so easy to work with and are so reasonably priced it's a no-brained to use their services. We hit a snag about two months out with our ceremony location and Moondance was there when I needed them to shift their plans for our day and be there for our ceremony music. I couldn't thank them enough!

Our guests told us she was one of the best DJs ever, and I totally agree. She also responded to emails super fast, which was an added bonus. Pauline was excellent. We've gone to a bazillion weddings including our own and she was hands down the best. We felt very lucky to have her DJ!

Deciding to have Suzanne from Moondance for our wedding reception was the best decision we could have made. Everything from start to finish was easy and professional. We had several emails back and forth and spoke over the phone, Suzanne was quick with email replies and very helpful to speak with over the phone. We shared an extensive playlist, which was followed closely. We had such a great dance party we asked her to stay an extra hour! If you want a professional who will caterer to your requests and create a great party, I would recommend Moondance any day.

From start to finish, Moondance was amazing to work with. We had Suzanne DJ our wedding two weeks ago and she could not have done a better job at making the process from start to finish as smooth as possible. She was responsive via email and phone and very easy to communicate with. Every song we requested was played and she stayed within our requested genre of music. For our wedding, we booked Alan as our DJ. We could not be happier with our choice. He was awesome to work with. We met with him a couple times before the wedding to go over our song list, "do not play" list and order of bridal party announcements. Aside from our song list, we had Alan play whatever music he felt was appropriate for dinner and dancing and guests amd us loved the music, everyone was dancing which was just what we hoped for! He was also great with the timeline. He always gave us a head's up when we should do the toasts and when the garter/bouquet toss would happen and cake cutting. This was great because we were able to focus on our guests and having a good time without worrying when everything needed to happen. He also worked great with our other vendors. I would book Moondance Productions a hundred times again!

Alan was a great dj we had a great time and his photobooth was a hit at the wedding everyone love it, and I'm sure we will use it again in our next party. I will definitely recommend them again extremely professional yet fun.

AWESOME DJ! I can't say enough about how happy I was with Moondance Productions for our NYE wedding. Alan was SO easy to work with. We gave him a short list of songs to play to give him an idea of what we were looking for and he filled in the rest with perfection. We also got the photo booth which was a huge hit. We used our own props because I wanted them to be geared more towards NYE than traditional props and it worked out really well. His son ran the photo booth and he was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. Great job by his whole team, we got a lot of compliments on the music!

Our DJ Suzanne was spot on with the music, keeping the dance floor packed all night. The up-lighting was completely stunning when you walked into the room. The photo booth was such a hit with my guests, I am so happy I decided to do it at the last minute. I was afraid it would be crass, but the set up was very nice and did not take up a lot of room. So Easy! Every step of the way Moondance was so easy to work with. We live out of state, but after conference calling many DJ's, we knew Suzanne was our style. She did not disappoint! She answered phone calls and e-mails promptly. At the wedding she was easy going and flexible with all our last minute changes. We had some difficult names, but she pronounced everyone perfectly. She provided up-lighting at a great price which made the Aldrich Mansion unbelievably gorgeous! All our special requests were played and the dance floor was busy all night. The best part about having Suzanne was that I never felt worried or stressed.

EVERYTHING WE WANTED! Alan from Moondance was true to his word and played everything on our extensive list. He was flawless from start to finish, even outside on the windy beach for our ceremony. Great prices for ceremony, reception and up-lighting. We highly recommend getting the up-lighting. It was much less expensive than other vendors and totally transformed the look of the Newport Rotunda.

We were fortunate enough to have Pauline as our DJ for our special day. Pauline was simply outstanding! She was charismatic and professional. Our guests LOVED her! We would not hesitate to hire her for another event or refer her to friends and family.

We had the pleasure of having Pauline DJ our wedding on 8/14/15. Having her as our DJ was the best decision. She was very professional and very accommodating to our needs. We had a lot of songs that we wanted played during our wedding night and she was able to fit everything in perfectly. All of our guest commented on how great our DJ was! She really made our wedding a memorable one. I have been to many weddings and by far she was the best DJ that I have seen. We definitely made the right decision.

We had Alan as our DJ for our wedding. We provided him with a playlist of songs for the ceremony, reception, dinner, and a few songs for dancing. He played everything perfectly and was great at improvising songs for the dancing once our selections ran out. One of the biggest bonuses was that he was not the typical cheesy wedding DJ. He made announcements when necessary, was amazing at the introductions, and kept us all on schedule – but without the corny jokes trying to be funny and talking to the audience like they were children like I hate (ex: "How are you all doing tonight? ... I can't hear you, I said how are you all doing tonight??") They were also very reasonably priced in comparison to the other DJs I researched! We are extremely happy with our decision to go with Moondance and highly recommend them.

These people are perfect for those of us that just want someone to play good music! There are no frills, no uplighting no silly announcements, just really awesome folk who will play what you want and keep people dancing. The prices are super reasonable and we would recommend them to anyone!

Pauline was a great DJ and made our wedding one we would not forget. The music for cocktail hour, dinner, and dance section were put together perfectly. We had people on the dance floor all night until the lights went back on at 11pm!

Our plan when dealing with most decisions was looking for the least stressful method. Moondance supplied this along with a GREAT price compared to most DJs and plenty of flexibility. We were looking for a DJ who wasn't going to be that stereotypical sketchy figure, we got a pleasant woman who kept our guest entertained without overdoing it.

Alan from Moondance was the perfect DJ for my day wedding at Ocean Cliff in September 2014! We got to meet Alan months before our wedding and he was funny, thoughtful, and led us through everything we needed to know. We were actually 30 minutes late because we had the wrong time, but Alan drove back to the coffee shop to meet us - very nice of him. Alan is experienced and creative - we told him the ambiance we wanted to create and he knew exactly what to do. A week before the wedding he went through everything with us on the phone and gave great advice - very helpful! He also accepts a long list of songs for the entire reception and a do not play list. I highly recommend Moondance Productions!

I was a member of the bridal party in my friends wedding recently, we had Pauline as a DJ from Moondance Productions, and what a DJ she was! She catered to all of our music tastes, was on time, professional, courteous and made us all feel right at home. The whole night went perfect because of her, everything from intros to wedding songs and then getting the party started, she was top notch! I would recommend this vendor without a doubt for a professional fun and enchanting night! She knew how to engage the crowd throughout every phase of the evening which is not always easy to do. Definitely a people person who enjoys what she does. She knew the music in and out, the oldies, the new genres, and good ole favorites! Every song she played was perfect, and you could tell she really knew how the order of a wedding night goes, every different part of the night just flowed one after the next so easily. She was great, we are so grateful we had her! The equipment and uplights were top notch also! I definitely recommend going the extra notch for the lights, how pretty they make any room!

I had the pleasure of working with Suzanne from Moondance - one of the owners. From start to finish, it was really a great experience. We had a great meeting in person to start, and I could tell right off the bat that she was going to be a great DJ! She covered all the bases, and brought up things to consider that I hadn't thought of yet - which was really helpful! On the wedding day, she did the music and microphones for the ceremony as well as the rehearsal - she was VERY quick on her feet when a couple things popped up due to some little details that I had forgotten to take care of (whoops!) - she covered everything seamlessly and everything was exactly as I had hoped it would be. She was wonderful during the reception and I couldn't believe how FAST my guests were filling up the dance floor, and they stayed there the whole night! She was great at reading the crowd and knowing what to play when, and everybody had a blast!! I had been told several times by recent brides during the planning process: A good DJ can make or break your reception! I think it's true, and I think Suzanne did a tremendous job in making our event into a great party! I would DEFINITELY recommend her!

Moondance Productions was fabulous. They are so professional. They sent a packet and requested the music that my daughter wanted at her reception. They played what my daughter suggested. They got the wedding party dancing. They played smooth jazz mood music before the reception. They announced all the events for the reception. They worked with the best man who produced a professional video (which was funny) and they worked with him to make sure the sound was right and that it would work. Wedding music is so important and they did a perfect job.
