Moonlight Iris Designs is a wedding florist located in Wilmington, NC. It is the floral design source for inspired hearts and natural beauty. An energetic flower studio, we service Charleston and its greater area. Hello! Maria here. Congrats on your engagement and this magical time! I'm a fresh floral designer unafraid to color outside the lines, but a timeless sucker for clean and classic lines. I love keeping flowers in their natural form with an emphasis on foliage and relaxed greenery. Texture and dimension are two of my favorite design principles, and I enjoy bringing various visions to life on your special day to fit you and your fiancé's unique style. I have strong southern roots from eastern NC and spent seven adventurous years in CO. I'm thrilled to be back on the East Coast and to share this incredible destination with you and your growing family!

so Maria was working off of just my ideas. And I was so blown away with what she did! My husband and I had specific flowers we wanted incorporated to honor dear family members, so it meant a lot to us to have Maria bring that vision to life so well. Because of her, our flowers felt like one of the most meaningful and special parts of our day. In general, Maria was communicative, easy to work with, and very helpful. She hopped on calls with me when I had questions, and she clearly listened to my vision and knew exactly how to bring it to fruition. She had great advice and ideas, and I can’t recommend working with Moonlight Iris enough!

understood our vision, incorporating the flowers from my mother’s wedding and the natural décor of the Emeline to maximize the event. She crafted simple yet elegant centerpieces, giving each table the timeless look. The bridesmaids loved the bouquets. They matched the dresses + event perfectly, while being very light so they were easy to carry around. She created an arrangement overtop of the Emeline’s large, roaring fireplace that made the flow of the room, and was incredible in the light. Overall, Moonlight Iris was 10/10, and will make your event beautiful.

Maria works magic with floral design, guys. And! Her prices are so reasonable. I really wanted to bring in a more natural feel to florals for our wedding, complete with wildflowers...

. The tablescapes were very simple, with some greenery and candles on the tables. Maria did a wonderful job taking what I had in my brain and turning it into a reality! Highly recommend.

king in our price range to produce something that was so beautiful. After our very first call she put together some initial concepts and they were perfect. Seeing them come to life the day of was so special. Maria also did such an amazing job creating our chuppah (Jewish wedding arch) and decorating it beautifully and incorporating some family items into it to make it extra special. She is amazing at what she does and could not recommend her highly enough. All her work is gorgeous!!!

that truly nailed our vision from the get-go. We met with her in person to go over it and that is when we decided she was the perfect fit! She is very laid back and gentle, yet extremely creative and responsive, and always made sure to keep the budget in mind which was appreciated :) Also, she made a beautiful bouquet for my bridal portraits and was very flexible when the weather caused us to need to move the session up a day. Overall, an extremely kind soul who executes flawlessly and would highly recommend to anyone planning a wedding!

Her vases/votive selection is extensive and she created a look for us that embraced the wildness of the outdoors. Maria truly has a passion for florals and works hard to find ones that are unique to your personality, vision, and season.

ed 3.21 - in a small backyard ceremony rather than the larger event I’d planned downtown (thanks COVID19) - & even though a ton of things fell apart that week, Maria was kind, reassuring, & also came through with the perfect bridal bouquet & corsage at the last minute! With all the stress & the tears I cried over everything else going on, I had 99 problems but flowers weren’t one. 💐💯 we postponed our reception & I can’t wait to see how she decorates our venue! Maria was an absolute gem. When my DIY floral expectations went awry because of my work schedule, I found pictures of her arrangements here and figured she'd be way above my budget...

. Fortunately she worked completely within in it! She had no minimum or maximum. She was always responsive and put up with me trying to plan with her internationally; I never knew how excited I was going to feel to see the flowers/reception designs and how much of a dream was created when all was said and done. I feel she really went above and beyond and didn't even mind when I realized only a couple days before the wedding that we needed to add a few more boutonnieres. You won't regret working with this sweet boss lady! Everything was so beautiful and all of our guests said it was breathtaking.

huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Maria made me feel at ease knowing everything would be taken care of and everything would show up on time and exactly how I wanted it. The work she does is outstanding! She will work with you and figure out exactly what you want so you can incorporate that personal touch. Maria goes through the entire planning process with you and even mentioned things I never thought of. She was extremely flexible as I added last minute items probably 3 times and was happy to add them to my order. Thank you Maria for all your hard work and extra special attention to my arrangements. They were exactly what I wanted and more.

d they were beautiful! Maria was easy to work with, great listener, and went out of her way in the snow to make sure everyone had the items they needed for photos before the wedding. Not to mention, we also used her for my bridal shower and she was absolutely amazing. It is great Maria helps you set your budget and then adapts what is possible to that. If you have a budget to stick to she will make it still happen in the most beautiful way possible!
