We loved working with Mikayla and Moonrae Photography! We were lucky to have her take pictures of our milkshakes and were so impressed with her attention to detail, professionalism, and vision. You guys, how do I even begin to tell you how great Mikayla is? From the moment we spoke with her, we wanted to be best friends. She is so kind and professional, in addition to her incredible photography skills. She worked with us on absolutely everything, from pricing to covid to our weird wedding structure. She made sure every single thing was taken care of and gave us such gorgeous photos. I'm so grateful to her and her shooters for giving us such an amazing day. I would hire her a million times over if I could!

I will start by staying, Mikayla is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met in my life. She has a knack of being able to make you feel so comfortable and confident in any environment. My husband and I don’t take many photos together, and she was able to make us feel like naturals. She was there to hype us up and to make us laugh like crazy, and I don’t think I’ve actually ever seen her without a smile on her face. We had engagement photos and wedding photos with her, and she very quickly sent sneak peeks of both sessions. The photos themselves are literally STUNNING. Her editing ranged from bright and airy, to warm and moody, to black and white. I could not be happier with the variations of smiling, kissing, and “GQ magazine” faces. She will direct you without you even knowing it- I actually don’t know how she does it. I can’t stress how important it is to have a photographer you’re comfortable with, because you don’t actually realize how much time you spend with them all day, and we had a BLAST. My entire wedding party, family and friends even raved about how wonderful she is. Thank you, Mikayla, for making our day the best day ever.

(Not a wedding review, but still relevant in my opinion) Mikayla is a wonderful person to work with, and I am so so happy I hired her to take our photos. I asked for suggestions in a local town Facebook group for a photographer who takes great maternity photos and someone recommended Moonrae Photography. Once I looked at her photos on her website as well as Instagram she became a top choice. The cost of her session was completely reasonable, and she allowed us an hour of time, which I discovered many other photographers did not. I also loved that she didn't limit the amount of photos she provided us, and we ended up with well over 100 AMAZING photos. Contacting her was a breeze! She was SUPER responsive and immediately scheduled a phone consultation where she answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable and confident in her abilities to capture what I wanted. She also shared more of her work than what was on her website so that I could get a good feel of her style. Any time I reached out to her leading up to the day of our session she responded very promptly. When we met in person she was just as wonderful as she was on the phone and by email. She was so so friendly, accommodating, and absolutely wonderful with my 7 year old daughter. She was able to take photos of our family in all of the places I had mapped out and was a super big sport about me dragging her all over the place. She even brought snacks and shared with my daughter when she was complaining about being hungry! My husband also commented on her ability to pose us well. He always states that he is not photogenic and hates posing for photos, but he really liked the final product. He stated after our session that he felt that Mikayla knew what she was doing, and had a good feeling that the photos would turn out well. To top it all off, we had our photos taken on a Sunday and she got the album ready and shared with me by the following Tuesday morning. The photos were INCREDIBLE. I cannot stop looking at them. Everything about Mikayla is wonderful! I cannot recommend her enough. I've already asked her to take our newborn photos once the baby is born, and will like schedule any future family photo sessions with her. Bottom line - Mikayla will not disappoint you - I HIGHLY recommend her for all of your photography needs!
