perative, it seemed almost too perfect. Honestly, we assumed it would be way outside our budget, but we sent an inquiry anyway and were shocked at how affordable it was. From the very beginning, Sid was professional, kind, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. The entire process was straightforward and stress-free. He worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and was flexible every step of the way to ensure the catering experience fit our wedding perfectly. And the food. Absolutely unbelievable. I can honestly say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. The elote pizza and the birria pizza were standouts for me, and the strawberry empanadas were so good that I’m still happily eating the leftovers for breakfast days later. Throughout the wedding, guests kept coming up to us just to rave about how amazing the food was. What impressed me even more was their level of care and professionalism around food safety. About a week before the wedding, we learned one of our guests had a severe gluten allergy. I reached out to Sid expecting that accommodating it on short notice might be difficult or expensive, but he immediately assured us it would be no problem and didn’t charge us extra. At the wedding itself, he personally asked me to point out the guest, spoke with her directly about her dietary restrictions and preferences, and then completely shut down and sanitized their cooking setup to eliminate any risk of cross contamination before preparing her food separately. It was such a thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate level of care, and it meant the world to both us and our guest. Beyond the incredible food and service, I deeply admire Moonshell’s mission and the intentionality behind what they do. Their focus on supporting sustainable local food systems, creating equitable community-centered business ownership, and highlighting traditional Indigenous foodways makes them feel like so much more than just a catering company. You can feel how much care and purpose goes into every part of what they do. We genuinely could not have asked for a better wedding catering experience, and I already cannot wait to track them down at another event so I can eat their food again.
